Restaurant Krüsch

By far the best restaurant on the entire island. Very nice and attractive interior, you can also sit outside, and they have plenty of space. The food is excellent, very good value for money, the dishes are lovingly and well-prepared, and the quantities are absolutely sufficient. The good wine selection is also nice; in other restaurants on the island we visited, they serve standard, sour wines like Chardonnay and Pino Grigio, which mostly taste sour and bland. Krüsch is truly in a whole different league! Krüsch was already an absolute highlight during our visit last year, and it's nice that the quality and excellent service have remained consistently good. Unfortunately, this isn't the case with many restaurants on the island; several have gone downhill significantly (for example, "our boat"). We highly recommend Krüsch and hope it stays on the island for many more years to come!

Everything was perfect! We felt very comfortable. The service was attentive and guided us perfectly throughout the evening. The introduction of the chef at the end of our stay was also lovely. The ambiance was also outstanding. Overall, we were offered a very relaxed environment, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Krüsch is simply a perfect fit for Wangerooge! We'd love to come back!

Disappointing visit – unfortunately no longer recommended We've been to Krüsch on Wangerooge several times over the past few years and have always been very impressed – the vegan selection was especially commendable back then. We were all the more disappointed on our current visit. We received an unfriendly welcome as soon as we entered: We'd barely walked through the door when the manager told us to hang our coats in the coat rack because it doesn't look nice hanging over the chairs. A warm welcome doesn't look like much. Unfortunately, this tone continued throughout the entire evening. A garlic allergy experienced by one of our group wasn't addressed with the flexibility expected at this price point – perhaps not making a dish 100 percent according to the menu? None of this. The service also left us with the feeling that we were significantly neglected compared to the other guests. At the end, we were told that the only vegan dessert was no longer available – which, to be honest, we could hardly believe. Years ago, the vegan selection was a huge plus, but now there's hardly anything left: a vegan main course, that's it. Very disappointing for a restaurant that once presented itself as open and modern. We also had to wait quite a long time for everything – only the bill came quickly at the end. Everything gave us the impression that they were trying to get rid of us as soon as we entered the restaurant. And with all that, the prices were surprisingly high considering the declining quality of service, the greatly reduced selection for certain dietary requirements, and the lack of flexibility. The only positive thing: The curry tasted good again this year – but that alone isn't enough to overlook the many negative impressions. We will refrain from visiting in the future.

Super delicious food on the island, highly recommended. We've been visiting Anna and her team for years on vacation, and I have to say you've taken another step up with the new location. A super nice restaurant. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside on the terrace or on the promenade with a fantastic view of the beach and sea. When it's windy or rainy, the restaurant offers plenty of lovingly designed space inside. Very friendly service, accommodating individual requests and also offering additional vegan options. It's worth asking. For children, for example, there's delicious pasta, which our daughter devoured completely both times. All in all, 5/5 stars We stayed at Krüsch twice this holiday and immediately recommended it to others. We'd love to come back on our next vacation. All the best to Anna and the team!

Restaurant Krüsch is the place for fine dining in Wangerooge, located directly on the promenade with a view of the sea. Top-notch service and delicious food. My wife had the fish soup with a hint of Indian flavor. Absolutely outstanding. I had duck dumplings with roasted cabbage. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and I couldn't make dumplings better myself. Freshly made red cabbage still had a bit of a bite. And all of this in a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. We truly felt like guests. We highly recommend Krüsch if you're willing to pay a little more for fine dining.

A beautiful restaurant right on the promenade. Anna and her team are super friendly. They cater to every need. Even on chilly days, they offer blankets so you can enjoy the sunset on the beautiful terrace.

Highly recommended on the island. With a sea view from the terrace. A beautiful ambiance. A bit on the expensive side, but you get an exclusive taste. Super friendly team. Truly a recommended hotspot on the island.

The seating is very pleasant, and the food is also very tasty, although the portion prices aren't quite reasonable. The Asian fish soup had six small pieces of fish for €22, and the €16 glass of red wine is also quite expensive. There are relatively few dishes, which is fine, but there were always two or three out of stock, which severely limited the selection with only two meat dishes.

Hey, We'll definitely be back! Everything's perfect at Anna's. The shrimp are fantastic, and so is the dessert. A feast for the eyes and the palate. The service can't be topped either. And you have to try the strawberry punch to know what strawberry punch should taste like. Of course, you pay accordingly for such quality, but the effort can't be worth more than that. And something we'd also like to particularly praise: the smoking ban, even on the terrace. Here, the guest is king. Thank you very much!

A rating of less than 5* is not possible. First choice when looking for a good restaurant on Wangerooge. Food, service, and ambiance of the highest caliber. The place to be on Wangerooge. Modern, but not trendy. As befits the north.

I highly recommend it. I rarely write reviews, but here they really cater to special requests and make you feel welcome. Highly recommended, it was truly outstanding. From the food to the service, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. If we'd stayed longer than a day, we wouldn't have eaten anywhere else.

I would buy the whole place, but only with the entire team!!! The Krüsch is by far the best restaurant on Wangerooge. As always, at least one visit was a must during our vacation. The food is of the highest quality, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is even more beautiful since the move to the former Strandlust restaurant! Incredibly tastefully decorated with a view of the sea. Since the Krüsch opened in a different location, we've been coming here on every Wangerooge vacation! Do it! We ate here for the first time during our vacation on Wangerooge, and it was FANTASTIC. The starter, main course, and dessert were all fantastic. Even the coffee was good. We enjoy good food, and this restaurant easily made it into our top 5. The individual components were complex, but not overly elaborate. The dishes were well-rounded, the portion sizes generous, and when I think back on them, my mouth still waters. The service was incredibly warm yet unobtrusive. The prices are, of course, a bit higher than everywhere else on the island—but here, every cent is worth it! So, if you're standing in front of the menu or googling restaurants on Wangerooge and wondering whether you want to treat yourself—do it!

So, fresh from this evening, We had already reserved our table before arriving at Wooge and were looking forward to the evening. We were not disappointed in the slightest. A super-motivated team, with a very tasteful location. A small but very fine menu where you can tell that it's either fresh or it's not there... (Today, someone actually finished the herring tartare before us ;-) ) From the first to the last minute, we were looked after in a friendly but not intrusive manner, and the food was simply fantastic. A little tip if you can't get a table at Krüsch: the team opened a burger bar next door, and we already tried it on Monday, and they're amazing... So there are no excuses for an unfortunately awesome evening... Thanks to the team, we'll see you again. P.S.: Everyone can have one, but we were there again yesterday and it was still amazing... ``` OK, the herring still hadn't swum past the island, but the homemade strawberry punch totally beat it... The rest was perfect, as always... Anyone who's been to Wangerooge and hasn't "krüscht" missed the best bits.

We've been staying at these familiar premises since 2022. Very courteous, professional staff. Fine cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

We visited this fantastic restaurant on May 17, 2025. The day before, we had reserved a table for 6:30 p.m. because we had won a voucher for two people to Krüsch in the Advent giveaway. The restaurant and the outdoor area are very attractive and beautifully decorated. Our jackets were taken from us at the entrance and taken to the coat rack. Afterwards, we were offered a very nice table facing the terrace. Anna, the owner, then handed us beautifully designed wooden menus. The selection was simply fantastic and filled with some truly amazing dishes. Here, you could tell that the kitchen places great value on first-class ingredients. The choice wasn't easy for us, so we opted for a pan for two with Argentinian red shrimp. It was served with garlic bread and a wonderful colorful salad. The wine selection was also first-class and left nothing to be desired. We were absolutely thrilled with the excellent food, the wine, and the wonderful evening. Our dog was also allowed to join us in the restaurant, which we found very pleasant. Many thanks to Anna and the team for the wonderful experience. We will definitely return to this place on our next vacation to Wangerooge.

The day before yesterday, we were at the new Krüsch restaurant on the promenade on Wangerooge. We had made a reservation the day before and arrived promptly at 7 p.m. The restaurant is very attractive, tastefully, and brightly decorated. The service was also exceptionally good; our jackets were immediately taken and taken to the cloakroom. Our table was also beautifully set. We both ordered a set menu, but I was able to make some adjustments without any problem. The quality and taste of the various dishes were outstanding. You immediately notice that the food used here is first-class. The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired. In any case, we were thrilled with the great food and the successful evening. The old Krüsch at the last location was also excellent, and this one now also has a beautiful view of the sea. Dogs are also welcome there. We will definitely be back. Eating at Krüsch was a pure pleasure experience! The service and reception were very good, very hospitable and you feel very welcome right from the start. The dishes are seasonal, fresh and prepared with the appropriate culinary flair. The lobster ravioli with crustacean foam were a real delicacy :-) We recommend a wine pairing from the sommelier, perfect wines for the respective course. The ambience is wonderful with a view of the North Sea and we had such wonderful hours there in the Krüsch. We are really looking forward to our next visit.

Very nice restaurant with a great terrace! Very lovingly furnished with special offers. We had waffles, tea time and lunch and were always amazed by the quality and attention to detail that Anna and her team serve! We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it!

We were at Krüsch Essen with 6 people. The service is great and also positively relaxed. Any wishes regarding food are addressed directly and you can always find something that you like to eat. The quality of the food is great and the kitchen does a great job. The portions are sufficient, which you don't always expect given the prices, as higher prices don't always mean enough to eat. 😉 Of course the price is a little higher for an island like Wangerooge, but since the price-performance ratio is right, everything is ok. If we're on the island again, we'll come back

Endlich! Großartige Küche, sehr schöne Location und extrem freundliches Personal auf Wangerooge! Hat in dieser Kombination hier jahrelang gefehlt… Hat Syltniveau, ohne Schickimicki aber dennoch perfekt! Die Preise sind etwas höher, aber ein Matjestartar ist eben auch kein frittiertes Hühnchenfleisch… Ein Grund, wieder häufiger nach Wangerooge zu fahren - ihr habt der Insel gefehlt und sie hat euch verdient!

It was a very nice evening with excellent hospitality. We were there on December 30th, 2024 and asked in the afternoon whether there would be a place for us (5 people) in the evening. Although the restaurant was actually fully booked, we were still able to get a seat and we were given a really warm welcome in the evening. In short, everything was excellent and we would love to come back!

This year you moved the Krüsch from “Zedeliusstrasse” to the old Strandlust premises in the “Obere Strandpromenade” and gave it a unique redesign. Most of the tables are now by the window and almost all have a perfect view of the sea. Now in winter you have decorated a part of the restaurant as a winter market with cozy bales of straw and everything that goes with a good winter market: delicious punch and delicious homemade waffles, kale soup or goulash and stollen. Your restaurant offers by far the best cuisine on Wangerooge! Your dishes are of such sophistication - the products are always fresh, the preparation is at the highest level, the decoration is made with love. Since Anna and David are sommeliers, you always have the best wine pairing for your food. But the most important thing for us is you! You welcome your guests with such charm and friendliness - you won't find that twice on Wangerooge! It makes no difference whether guests are visiting you for the first time or are repeat visitors. Die Feta-Crème brûlée mit Mango-Chili-Chutney an fruchtig-frischem Wildkräutersalat - ein Gedicht. Exzellente Weinempfehlung des Winzer-Sommeliers. Service ausgezeichnet, mit Blick für individuelle Bedürfnisse des Gastes. Bei aller Perfektion eine unbeschwerte, Genuss versprechende Verwöhn-Atmosphäre. Fazit: "Kehr wieder".

Anyone who gets upset about the fact that everything isn't always available on an island probably doesn't understand the principle of fresh, high-quality cuisine. If you want freshness and quality, you have to accept that not every dish is available in unlimited quantities. And when it comes to prices – Krüsch is not a canteen and certainly not a fast food restaurant. There is no frozen currywurst to warm up here, but real, honest cuisine. So yes, the Krüsch has its price, and you have to be willing to afford it. Quality and taste at the highest level – that is the standard here. If you find this too expensive, you might want to stick to places that place less emphasis on quality. Marco

Wir hatten einen äußerst genussvollen Abend in wohliger Atmosphäre, zuvorkommendem Service, hammergeilen Speisen und erlesenen Weinen.

Very, very tasty, high quality food, prepared with great attention to detail. We particularly liked it and that vegans also get their money's worth. (Which is often difficult in holiday resorts) It is often so easy to turn a vegetarian dish into a vegan one. This is implemented brilliantly here.

Tolle Lokation, wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Das Essen war sehr hochwertig und absolut etwas Besonderes. Sehr zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut ok. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Empfang. Wir entschieden uns für das vegetarisches Menü. Die Speisen wurden nach angemessener Wartezeit die mit einem Gruß aus der Küche überbrückt wurde für das Auge sehr ansprechend gereicht. Das rote Beete Carpaccio war sehr schmackhaft. Es wurde vom Pilz Risotto noch etwas übertroffen. Der krönende Abschluß war dann das Vanilleeis mit fruchtigen Beeren. Die empfohlenen Weine passten perfekt zum Menü. Hier schmeckt man wirklich das mit Herz gearbeitet wird. IWur können einen Besuch uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gern wieder

When you enter the Krüsch you are greeted with a big smile, we were so excited, my Krüsch daughter also just got her buttered noodles with parmesan, the wine was excellent, the food was simply delicious. The salad is fresh with a bit of sweetness. Delicious bread with delicious dips. The Créme Brûllé is a poem. We'll be back.

Two visits within 4 days. The first visit impressed us so positively that we wanted to come back straight away. The food was freshly cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Special requests (allergies) were easily addressed and taken with appropriate care. The service was also not objectionable. Big praise to the boss and her team. We will definitely come back again. If the transit from the mainland wasn't a bit expensive, I would say it's worth a visit just for the food. So you just have to do something else on the island first.

Food: Outstanding, 5 stars Service: Super friendly, attentive and pleasant speed, 5 stars Why 1 star deduction? Unfortunately, we noticed several times that the owner disciplined her staff. And in such a way that we as guests noticed it quite clearly. Because of the great service, we a) couldn't understand this and b) also found the tone to be inappropriate. So we went home from an outstanding culinary evening with a not so good feeling.

A nice restaurant for well-filled wallets and guests who “know how to behave”. I'm not a fan of being brought up directly as a guest (a bag and scarf next to the dried flower decorations are not tolerated) and the risotto was too salty. But the salad is really excellent and the shop tries to be hip and very cozy.

By far the best restaurant on the island. From the unpretentious but very attentive service, to the competent and always appropriate wine recommendations from the sommeliers, to the taste explosions of the dishes, it's really fabulous. Accordingly, the prices are of course not bad, but the quality is absolutely worth it. Absolute recommendation, we will definitely come back if we are on the island again! Thanks!

We wanted to have dinner at the "Krüsch" with four adults and our granddaughter (2 years old). When I made my table reservation, I received a long email in which it was explained to me that, out of consideration for other guests, they no longer wanted to serve small children. As an exception, because there are still outstanding reservations, we are offered a table at 5:30 p.m. The restaurateur is of course free to behave this way, but I would not have expected this on a family island that I have been visiting for 69 years. If one had said that small children should not go to e.g. B. 7 p.m. I would have understood that, but the Gastronomim will be able to do without us as guests in the future - even for the "beach lust". Wir hatten für 15 Leute reserviert und dafür die Bestätigung erhalten mit der Bitte wegen der Größe der Gruppe, vorab eine Auswahl der gewünschten Gerichte zu treffen. Die haben wir vorher auch an das Restaurant geschickt. Als wir dann gegen 17.30 Uhr im Restaurant ankamen und unsere Plätze einnahmen, hatten wir von Anfang an das Gefühl, dass wir gedrängt wurden. Wir sollten schnell die Getränke aussuchen. Die Vorspeise wurde schon wieder abgeräumt, während einige noch aßen. Auch beim Abräumen der Hauptspeise waren noch nicht alle fertig mit dem Essen. Später wurde dann gesagt, wir sollten schnell entscheiden, ob wir noch Nachspeisen wollen, weil der Tisch ab 19.30 Uhr wieder vergeben sei. Als wir die Rechnung bekamen regten wir an, dass man es den Kunden gern bei Bestätigung des Termin mitteilen könnte, dass der Tisch nur für zwei Stunden reserviert sei. Daraufhin zuckte der Kellner nur mit den Schultern und wünschte uns einen schönen Abend. Schließlich verließen wir das Restaurant zum Teil noch mit halb gefüllten Gläsern, die wir dann vor der Tür austranken. Für das Essen lohnt es sich wirklich, der Service zeigt viele Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten.

Die Chefin - und Sommelière - Anna und ihr Team leisten hier außergewöhnliches. Hello Team Krüsch, we had dinner with you today with our daughter. We were really happy that there was nothing fried on the menu. The food (3 oysters, risotto with salmon, cod, children's plate with meatballs and creamed vegetables, crème brulé with ice cream, espresso, wine 150€) was all very tasty and of high quality. The service was super friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Price/performance fits perfectly. My first choice on Wangerooge.

The two of us went to the restaurant last night and we were just happy. We each chose the 3-course fish menu with wine accompaniment. What can I say? Yummy! All three courses were great, we thought it was great that we could have swapped dessert. In our opinion, the service could have been a little more fluid, although everyone was nice and accommodating and we were able to swap tables easily. However, the wine for the starter was not explained and for the main course the wine came almost 10 minutes before the meal, so that it was slowly getting warm by the time the meal itself came. Here the level of service didn't quite match the level of the food.p Nevertheless, a great positive conclusion remains, we will not eat in this restaurant for the last time. Keep it up, I hope the restaurant stays on the island for a very, very long time.

Luckily, even though we hadn't made a reservation, they still had a spot available for my mother and me. After a friendly and courteous welcome, we each decided on a menu (vegan + fish, starter + main course + dessert). Both were outstanding, plentiful and worth the price! I've never had such good vegan food when I was out (among other things, the vegan vanilla ice cream was the best thing I've ever eaten and the coconut vegetable curry was excellent!) and my mother was also very enthusiastic. The food came very quickly, but after each course we were offered the opportunity to extend the break until the next course, which we gratefully accepted. We had a wonderful evening in which the delicious food was rounded off with great service and a very nice ambience. Thank you very much for the great experience - we will recommend you and would be happy to come back ourselves!

During our holiday week on Wangerooge (June 30th - July 7th, 2024) we visited the Krüsch on three evenings. After each dinner we left the restaurant satisfied and having had a very good meal. You can feel that the quality is as important when choosing the products as when preparing them. All the wines that we drank as part of the wine accompaniment (highly recommended) were also of excellent quality and we were able to get to know some of them for the first time. Minor menu adjustments were never a problem. The service was always courteous, friendly and very competent. Of course, the Krüsch is not cheap. But for everyone who values ​​good food, a stylish ambience and beautiful wines, the price/performance ratio can be described as fair. On Wangerooge, the Krüsch is “the place to be for fine dining”.

The food is ok, but too expensive. The selection is rather unusual and limited. It's cheeky to ask for 39.- for a sirloin steak, but in return you get fillet. Even if the meat doesn't come from factory farming or similar. The remaining prices are also completely excessive. Spaghetti Bolognese of veal for 26.- A glass of Riesling (0.2l) for 13.- Are you crazy? The bottle doesn't even cost that much. We often like to eat well and therefore “expensively”, but here the price-performance ratio doesn’t match. No repeat planned. My forecast: The restaurant will close in the medium term.

Oh oh oh!! The Krüsch was definitely our holiday highlight. How you spoiled us and really enchanted us. Tim with his kitchen, Anna with her service, Basti and David with wine and strawberry punch. A wonderful restaurant! The food was perfect, also very interesting for vegetarians. The curry and risotto were heavenly. The service was courteous and very personal. Our dog was warmly welcomed and immediately given water. We will be back and have a reservation in July.

We are completely impressed. The restaurant and service were incredibly good. We were lucky to get a seat without a reservation. Even if the prices are higher, you can get good, regional and loving food in this wonderful place. Reservations and stops are recommended

We have just come from the Krüsch restaurant. The atmosphere is super nice. At the reception we were warmly welcomed and our jackets were taken away and taken away. The table was lovingly prepared. The range of dishes on offer is varied and there is something for everyone. Everything is freshly prepared and lovingly and very attractively presented on the plate. My husband and I each chose a menu. The whole menu was very, very tasty. We were impressed by the friendliness in this restaurant and we would like to come back.

Overall, Krüsch is okay. The service was great. The two tables for two people each are too close together in my opinion. This noticeably depresses the atmosphere for both couples there. The other tables seem okay though. The selection of dishes is small, which should be a sign of good quality. Actually it is. Some plate decorations are certainly nice, but strange to me. Thyme and rosemary as decoration for curry and salad as well as a piece of watermelon in asparagus risotto are worth mentioning. The hot food is okay. The salad was good, the homemade bread was great.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut. Wir hatten 3 Menues mit Weinbegleitung. Der Salat war über Ostern aus, dadurch gab es freie Wahl bei allen Vorspreisen. Der Service war nicht 0815. Alles wurde gut erklärt. Die Weinbegleitung war ausgzeichnet, dass Essen super.

Sehr liebevoll zusammengestellte Karte. Wir waren mit der kompletten Family da , sechs Erwachsene und zwei kleine Kinder. wir haben alle unterschiedliche Sachen bestellt und trotzdem kam das Essen gleichzeitig und hat sehr sehr lecker geschmeckt. Absolute Bereicherung für anspruchsvolle Gäste auf Wangerooge.
