Köstliches deutsches Essen, gute Qualität und exzellenter Service, mit gedecktem Tisch, einfach super.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie zum Essen gewesen. Beeindruckend war für uns, dass die unterschiedlichen Speisen (Pannfisch, Scholle, Frikadellen und Hüftsteak) in kurzer Zeit serviert wurde und uns allen sehr geschmeckt hat. Auch dass Beilagen problemlos nachserviert wurden empfangen wir als sehr schön. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die zuvorkommende Freundlichkeit des Servicepersonals. Herzlichen Dank dafür!

Wenn in Glückstadt, dann auch im "Kleinen Heinrich". Beste Matjes in den verschiedensten Varianten. Alle sind lecker 😋. Die Mitarbeiter haben immer ein Lächeln für den Kunden. Immer gern wieder!

Sehr leckere Fischgerichte und ein toller Service. Man kann draußen sitzen und schaut auf den Glückstädter Marktplatz, bei schönem/Heißen Wetter ist es zu empfehlen! Drinnen ist es sehr warm da es ein sehr altes/Traditionellen Fachwerkhaus ist. Wunderschön von innen und außen, doch leider sehr warm im Sommer.

Das Essen war sehr gut und der Blick auf den Marktplatz ist schön. Innen sieht das Restaurant sehr gemütlich aus aber wir haben auf Grund der Temperaturen außen gegessen. Wirklich herausragend war der Service dem ich - wenn möglich - 6 Sterne gegeben hätte. Die junge Frau war derartig positiv, voller Passion für ihren Beruf und multilingual perfekt unterwegs - toll!!

Ich bin Glückstadt, ist der Matjes zu Hause. Mitten auf dem kleinen Marktplatz ist dieses kleine, feine, regionale Restaurant zu finden. Schräge Wände, schräge Fußböden machen das Restaurant zu einem besonderen Erlebnis mit besonderem Ambiente. Es gibt regionale Speisen und natürlich den legendären Rückschnitt der Matjes in verschiedenen Variationen. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp für ein gastronomisches Erlebnis, insbesondere Ambiente in Norddeutschland.

Super essen und super gemütliches Restaurant zur Mittagszeit

Da meine Freundin und ich aus Pinneberg kommen, haben wir reserviert, um sicherzugehen, dass wir pünktlich einen Tisch bekommen. Wir hatten jeweils eine andere Fischsorte (siehe Foto) und beide waren wirklich köstlich. Sie waren frisch und perfekt zubereitet. Tatsächlich habe ich zum ersten Mal eine Kutterscholle mit Speckwürfeln komplett verputzt. Ich esse diesen Fisch sehr gerne und habe ihn schon in verschiedenen Restaurants probiert, sodass ich einige Vergleichsmöglichkeiten hatte. Die beiden jungen Damen, die uns bedienten, waren höflich und charmant, was das Gesamtbild perfekt abrundete. „Der Kleine Heinrich“ ist definitiv empfehlenswert!

In einem alten charmanten Gebäude ansässigens Restaurant im Par terre und 1. Stock. Gehobene Küche und freundliche Angestellte machen den Besuch zu einem schönen Erlebnis.

Wir waren gestern zu viert dort, Muttertagsessen. Wir haben lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Fein abgeschmeckt Gerichte, sehr gute Bratkartoffeln und Salzkartoffeln. Ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service.

Ich habe noch nie so gut Spargel gegessen der hatte wirklich Spitzenqualität alle Stangen gleich lang und daumendick und auf dem Punkt gegart. Leider war es Servicemäßig nicht gut. Nach 30 Minuten Warten habe ich mal nach Servicepersonal gesucht um Bestellung aufgeben zu können. Getränke kamen dann schnell, Essen dauerte auch wieder seeehr lange, aber dafür war es gut. Wir hätten auch gerne noch etwas getrunken, aber ich hatte keine Lust, wieder nach Personal zu suchen. Und nein, es kam kein Personal vorbei, obwohl wir drinnen saßen. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist sehr anschaulich. Zum Bezahlen musste ich mich wieder auf der Suche nach Personal machen 🤷🏻‍♀️ Aber wer Zeit hat, Essen und Ambiente ist empfehlenswert.

Super lecker, tolle Atmosphäre, frische Zutaten und sehr guter Espresso

Wir waren mit Freunden dort essen, die im Vorfeld einen Tisch für uns reserviert hatten. Leider begann der Abend direkt mit einer sehr negativen Erfahrung: Uns wurde der Zutritt verweigert, weil wir einen kleinen Hund dabeihatten. Das führte sogar dazu, dass wir wieder nach Hause geschickt wurden, um den Hund wegzubringen. Besonders unverständlich war das, da wir später im Restaurant in einer abgelegenen Ecke saßen, dort hätte der Hund überhaupt nicht gestört. Zudem scheint ein Hund grundsätzlich nicht verboten zu sein. Der Umgang damit war für uns nicht nachvollziehbar und der Service im Eingangsbereich entsprechend unfreundlich. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir allerdings die Bedienung am Tisch. Diese war sehr bemüht und freundlich und konnte den schlechten ersten Eindruck zumindest teilweise wieder wettmachen. Das Essen selbst war insgesamt in Ordnung, aber eher durchwachsen. Die Speisekarte wirkte wenig modern, mit einem starken Fokus auf klassische Gerichte wie Matjes. Zudem waren einige Gerichte zwar aufgeführt, konnten aber nicht bestellt werden. Für Vegetarier oder Veganer gibt es kaum Auswahl und wenn, dann wenig ansprechend. Hier besteht aus unserer Sicht deutlicher Nachholbedarf, um zeitgemäß zu bleiben. Auch qualitativ gab es kleinere Schwächen, beispielsweise waren die Bratkartoffeln recht fettig. Insgesamt wirkt die Küche etwas altbacken und könnte mit moderneren Ansätzen deutlich gewinnen. Unser Fazit: Ein durchwachsenes Erlebnis mit Licht und Schatten. Vor allem der Service beim Empfang sollte dringend verbessert werden. Wir werden zukünftig auf andere Restaurants in Glückstadt ausweichen.

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants 😋 Immer leckeres Essen und erstklassiger Service. Komme immer gerne wieder 👍 Empfehlenswert ist alles auf der Karte. Mein Favorit ist aber der einmalige Labskaus mit Matjes 😋

Der Kleine Heinrich in Glückstadt überzeugt durch sein besonderes Ambiente. Beeindruckend sind die zahlreichen Kunstwerke von Hans-Peter Wirsing und Friedel Anderson, die dem Haus eine individuelle Note geben und teilweise als Geschenke ihren Weg dorthin fanden. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und sorgt für einen reibungslosen Ablauf, was den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Die Kombination aus regionaler Küche, der künstlerischen Gestaltung durch die Fliesenbilder und dem freundlichen Service ist stimmig. Ein Besuch ist für Kunstinteressierte und Freunde einer gepflegten Gastronomie gleichermaßen zu empfehlen.

Ja, es ist schon ein wahres Schmuckstück das Restaurant „Kleiner Heinrich“ Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und haben einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Alle Gerichte waren à la carte und ziemlich gleichzeitig am Tisch für alle. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich 👍🏻 Das Ambiente ist natürlich unschlagbar. Nicht nur, daß die Inneneinrichtungen so ist, wie man sich ein rustikales Fischrestaurant vorstellt, sondern auch dadurch, daß das Haus krumm und schief ist, bekommt man vor allem auch im oberen Geschoss einen Eindruck, was es heißt seekrank zu sein. Genau das macht den „Kleinen Heinrich“ aus. Es sind keine riesigen Portionen zu erwarten, aber wer ein normales Essverhalten hat, wird hier satt👍🏻 24,50€ für ein Labskaus ist zwar ganz schön happig (hätte meine Oma gesagt), wenn es dann aber entsprechend lecker ist…naaajaaa, war nicht schlecht, aber auch keine Offenbarung. Das ist nicht schlimm. Wahrscheinlich war meine Wahl nicht die Spezialität des Hauses. Alle anderen waren zufrieden mit ihren Speisen. Ich hörte etwas von „die Remoulade ist mit etwas zu grob, aber lecker“ Na das mag ja auch jeder anders sehen. Der Abend war sehr schön und wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder! Sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten die Matjenvariationen und den Hamburger Pannfisch, beides mit Bratkartoffeln. Es war alles perfekt, nur mit grossen Hunger sollte man dort nicht hingehen. Die Portionen sind ziemlich klein. Die Bratkartoffeln für uns zwei kamen in einer kleinen Schale, wir dachten sie haben eine Portion vergessen, dem war nicht so. Leider gibt es dort nichts extra für Kinder, was wir sehr schade fanden. Wer nur ein kleines Hungerloch hat oder Rentner ist (die Essen ja nicht mehr so viel🤣) kann dort evtl.satt werden. Für uns war es definitiv zu wenig für soviel Geld, aber trotzdem lecker. Beim nächstenmal gehen wir ins Restaurant nebenan, dort gab es größere Portionen.

Gestern Mittag spontan im Restaurant der Kleine Heinrich in Glückstadt direkt am Marktplatz eingekehrt. Uriges Lokal, nett eingerichtet. Netter und flotter Service. Speisekarte mit regionalen Gerichten, auch Fisch. Für uns gab es den Pan Fisch. Alles frisch und sehr lecker! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Der Service und die Bedienung waren ausgezeichnet und halfen uns bei der Auswahl der Gerichte. Das Essen selbst hat uns nicht so gut geschmeckt, es war bitter und eher durchschnittlich, aber die Atmosphäre des Lokals hat uns sehr gefallen, vielen Dank.

We took our two children on a short trip to Glückstadt, and for lunch we simply chose the restaurant with the nicest name. Luckily, because we really enjoyed it! Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a lovely table. The service was very friendly and attentive, and all our special requests were easily accommodated. The food was delicious, and the whole experience took place in a very charming old building. Highly recommended!

A very beautiful, older half-timbered house. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Several tables upstairs were reserved, but there were still enough free downstairs for a spontaneous visit.

We were there on a Tuesday evening and wouldn't have been able to get a seat without a reservation. No wonder, because the food, ambiance, and service are all very good. The menu isn't particularly extensive and focuses on herring dishes. A 0.4-liter glass of Jever beer costs €5.30.

We ate at Kleiner Heinrich in Glückstadt today. The ambiance was fine, but the food had its ups and downs. The fried potatoes were very greasy and seemed to be swimming in oil. The side salad consisted only of raw leaves without any dressing – that doesn't seem contemporary. I was also disappointed with the herring variations: The fish itself was top-quality, but the marinades, for example, in red wine, seemed like pre-made industrial sauces. In a herring town like Glückstadt, I would have clearly expected the raw fish to be marinated and refined in-house. On the positive side: The shrimp appetizer was very well prepared – firm to the bite, cleanly cleaned, and flavorful. The pumpkin soup was okay, but the pastry cut into it was a little off-putting, which you might not necessarily like. The drink selection was appropriate: Sauvignon Blanc with a pleasant acidity and a Dithmarscher Dunkel, which went well with the meal. Overall, a mixed impression: good basic products, but with weaknesses in the implementation. For me, that's enough for a solid 3-star rating, but unfortunately, nothing more.

We were here on a beautiful summer day and sat outside. The view is unfortunately nothing special; it overlooks Glückstadt's market square. I mention this because a view of the water might justify the very high prices. Inside, I find the restaurant a bit dated and not appropriate given the price of the food. For that price, you could easily eat very well in similar restaurants in big cities, like Hamburg, and get more for yourself. The food was delicious and well prepared. However, the portions are modest. I had three herring fillets from the mixed herring platter, and we had a medium-sized bowl of fried potatoes, which should have been enough for five people. Since everyone was being reserved, the bowl was enough, but it certainly wasn't filling. The service was friendly and quick, the food delicious but overpriced and too little. It's also a shame that some dishes, like the plaice, were sold out that evening. The ambience of the restaurant does not match the prices of the food.

A great way to start our trip. Friendly and efficient service, good, straightforward food, beautifully prepared and gemütlich as they come.

This was our first visit to Kleiner Heinrich. The restaurant is located right on the market square in Glückstadt. It has a quaint, maritime feel, and is clearly housed in a very old but well-preserved building. The menu is small but fine. There's something for every taste. Of course, herring in many variations is a must. In general, they place great value on regional products and dishes. We were there during kale season, and of course, there were several varieties of it. The food was tasty and plentiful. The prices are upscale, but the food was worth the price. This wasn't our last visit to Kleiner Heinrich. Update: We went there again. This time it wasn't as great. The fish was greasy and glassy, nowhere near as well prepared as last time. The quality seems to depend on the chef's mood on the day.

The food was better 5 years ago. The fish platter was nothing special. Eel soup without eel was okay. Expensive! Fried potatoes were swimming in their skins, regular potatoes had no taste, and the fried fish fillet was too mushy. A shame.

Well, I've known Glückstadt since I was born. My relatives still live there. Little Heinrich? A regular stop. We've been there several times in the last four years, and it was a disaster... Why you should pay the equivalent of over 50 DM for a herring dish, according to the menu, is beyond me. A doner kebab costs 10 euros, a baguette with lumpen sausage costs 14.60 euros, and a special fries costs 6.00 euros... 50 DM for herring!? What planet are you on?

The restaurant is located in a historic building on Glückstäter Marktplatz. The food is traditional North German and very good. Attentive and very friendly staff. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Top address for good northern German food. Great atmosphere, especially upstairs in the beautiful old house. Or even outside when the weather is good. There is always fish there, everything is of very high quality. For me the best fried potatoes ever.

Everything just works here! The seating is comfortable, the service is very friendly, and the food is excellent. The sauerkraut ribs are delicious, the green beans are cooked just right, and the fried potatoes are crispy and cooked with ham. I haven't had such a good meal in a long time.

Unfortunately, we didn't even get to eat. We sat outside this afternoon and waited about 5 minutes. It can sometimes happen that you don't notice inside that guests have sat outside. I then went in and asked if there was also service outside or if Roman should order in here. Answer - I'll come to you soon. After that we have another 10 Waited minutes - unfortunately no one came.

A restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and the excellent service we were offered. Our friend is in a wheelchair and can only walk a very short distance with the walker. The help we received here was simply unique. Our four meals were also simply delicious. We can easily recommend this restaurant and will 100% make further trips here. The visitor from Portugal also wants to come here to eat with his friend from Hamburg.

Quaint restaurant on the market square with regional cuisine. Unfortunately, on Sunday the kitchen closed at 4 p.m. due to a lack of staff. We also noticed this with the slow service, which is a shame. But it still tasted good. The existing staff tried very hard.

We had a Christmas party with around 30 people. There was a menu that was served at the seat. One course was tastier than the next, the service was impeccable, unobtrusive and always attentive. We really enjoyed our time and the food and will definitely stop by again.

The best restaurant for Glückstadt herring for years!

Probably the best-known restaurant on the market square in Glückstadt, which certainly lives up to its reputation as a stronghold of “Matjeskultur”. Good quality of dishes and experienced, distant, not unfriendly service, which is not necessarily a given given the influx of tourists. However, prices are relatively high - especially for wine - which you have to be able to put up with if you stop here. The competition is not inferior. It's a very touristy place. But you can treat yourself.

I haven't eaten this good in a long time. The Hamburg eel soup is simply amazing. Keep it up.

As we all know, taste is a matter of taste, so we can only report our experience here. My wife had cheese spaetzle, they were really tasty, the price is very high... I had the Labskaus, for €23.50. Except for the sugary-sweet herring, the Labskaus was delicious, but I find the price demanding. We were served courteously.

Recommended by our neighbors who already lived in Glückstadt, we were with you yesterday. We were thrilled, everything was right. Friendly service, great service and the price/performance ratio is right. When we come again, we will be with you...
