Top service Very tasty food Things on the menu that aren't available in every other restaurant. Very happy again. Be sure to reserve in advance Addendum from May 7th, 2025: - Confused operation (many little things forgotten/confused) - waited forever for 1 of 4 drinks - no towel paper in the men's toilet (I took it out of the vanity unit myself) - Fried potatoes floating in fat for fried fish. All in all, not worth the asking price.

The atmosphere is Nordic, rustic, cozy. Service is very nice and warm, attentive and authentic. The Labskaus was very tasty. The starter of potato pancakes with salmon was very rich. The smoked pork was juicy and not too salty. The country house burger was well fried. Price/performance is reasonable. Dogs are welcome and are given water Toilet clean. Conclusion: Very happy again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The food was again very tasty. Asparagus well cooked, fried fish delicious. The fried potatoes were too greasy and we had to wait longer for the beer than for the cocktails. Service was nice/authentic. Towel paper was missing from the men's toilet. We would only give 4 stars today, but we'll leave it at that in the hope that the two points will be improved on the next visit. 😉

We had asparagus with potatoes and labskaus. The food was tasty, but by no means anything special. With 5 sticks of asparagus and 2 potatoes, I would have expected a homemade hollandaise for €27 and not one from a bag. That was a bit disappointing. The service was slightly overwhelmed ("Orderman" didn't work and we got the wrong drinks) and rather slow, despite the fact that only 6-7 tables were occupied and there was quite a lot of staff on site. However, the atmosphere is very nice.

Good food, terrible service – never again! The food at Klecks in Travemünde was really delicious – fresh and tasted great. But the service was a disaster. 20 minutes wait before we were even served. After eating we wanted to pay - waited another 25 minutes without anyone coming. When we politely commented on this, we were also verbally attacked.

Honest disappointment despite nice staff - unfortunately not again We had made a reservation - including a request for a children's chair, which was not available upon arrival. The “Delicious Pineapple” cocktail, advertised large on the board, could not be prepared at first because the staff “didn’t know how to make it.” He came 10 minutes after the other drinks. Overall, the waiting times were far too long: 70 minutes until the food, which then came staggered - without any information as to why. No offer for further drinks during this time. The service was friendly, but not really attentive. The food? Unfortunately mediocre. The wild salmon with fried potatoes (€20) was bland, barely cooked through and carelessly prepared. The cocktail was okay, but not convincing for €8.50. The menu offers little choice for vegetarians - the vegetarian burger has been deleted. Conclusion: Nice staff, good location - but unfortunately that's not enough. We won't come again.

Unfortunately very long waiting time - 1 hour. waited for the food. Unfortunately not fully served and the taste was ok, but unfortunately the fried potatoes were not crispy as they were served under the meat.

The food at Delicious was very subpar. Labskaus tasteless, children's burgers with dried out meat and inappropriately huge for children, matjes ok, but it's just as good at Aldi. But what ruined the evening for us was the service. If you like waitresses with headsets, you might like this. We waited a long time for the menu and drinks. My 7-year-old daughter ordered the children's burger and the waitress saw fit to force the fries on her too. She also ignored my objection in annoyance. Of course, there were fries left at the end (which had obviously already been fried a second time). After we declined coffee and dessert, we were made to wait a long time for our bill. Huge disappointment!

We wanted something special for our last evening of vacation and reserved a table at "Käß". The greeting from the young ladies was friendly, we were called by first names, which is probably common practice these days and which, although a little strange, didn't bother us. Unfortunately, I have to say that the food was a flop. My ORIGINAL WIENER SCHNITZEL would have horrified every Viennese... me too!! The poor animal was terribly tough, the fried potatoes were very greasy and not very tasty. The best thing was actually the fried egg, which I ordered with it (thank God). Unfortunately, my friend's Kassler wasn't any better either. There are much better things in Travemünde...sorry guys...we won't see each other again anytime soon.

Unfortunately, we were charged extra for side dishes that we were not informed about beforehand. When you ask “jacket or fried potatoes?”, you don’t expect that this is another almost €7 extra. Food was very tasty, location was great. Service can be expanded.

There is delicious food here. Nice atmosphere. But be careful: Side dishes are extremely small and are not included in the meal, even if when ordering it can be formulated as if they were part of the dish and you only have to decide on the type of dressing - not whether you want it at all (that was the case with us).

When it opened, the restaurant was highly recommended. The dishes were very tasty and perfectly prepared. We were there on Good Friday and very disappointed. The greeting was very condescending because the dog was apparently not registered. I registered the dog. The food ordered was delivered incorrectly, the potatoes were old, dried out and shrinking. The Viennese style schnitzel was thin and very fatty with no air between the breading. We won't come back.

Sorry, dear team at Delicious. That was nothing, absolutely nothing. Our reserved table was not available on time. We waited for the bread with the salad until the lettuce was wilted. The main course wasn't there after 2 hours. We waited 30 minutes for drinks. Unfortunately the schnitzel came wrong and the side dish was actually not there. After certainly 10 visits with you, we will refrain from eating at your place again. Is it possible that there is another reason than you stated for closing the restaurant in Lübeck? I use your first name because you do that too. Maybe you should be less flippant and provide better service.

We were there for dinner with 4 people and had made a reservation for 6:15 p.m. The service was great, friendly and committed - just as we know it from “Delicious”. But, even if the food was basically good, the waiting times and the errors were unacceptable. We had four starters and four main courses. After the starter finally arrived, we were optimistic that the main course would follow quickly. Hope dies last, we had to wait 1 hour. However, something else was extremely difficult: we had specifically announced our daughter's tomato allergy, the service staff had noted everything and we had also canceled everything that was visible on the menu that contained tomatoes. Not only did she have to get a salad with tomatoes as a starter, which of course she couldn't eat, but also ketchup (?) in the burger... Because the knife that was stuck in the burger was smeared with red sauce They dismantled their food to be on the safe side. It's bad if she didn't notice until she was eating. Of course there was also a new burger, which came a little quicker - we were now close to the end of the day... No matter how much the concept tries to convey a particularly appreciative relationship with the guest, it failed in the stress test: A little tip from the good nursery, an apology from the kitchen - and if it had been expressed through the service - would at least have kept the appearance.

Our dinner was okay. However, all dishes were prepared with a lot of oil. We wouldn't visit the restaurant a second time.

I absolutely cannot recommend it. Food was passable, but on the higher cost side for the quality, service was neutral to unfriendly and to top it off, the food caused severe gastrointestinal problems for one of us, so she spent the rest of her vacation on the toilet or in the hotel room. Vacation was over for her. Overall, a very lackluster experience, so I would highly recommend that you look for another restaurant in Travemünde, because there are really much better ones.

You sit as comfortably as in the living room and let yourself be pampered by excellent food and service. We really enjoyed our stay.

We reserved a table for my husband's birthday. The team chose a beautiful table for us and decorated it. The reception was very attentive, as congratulations were given upon greeting. The food was very tasty!! I had the Landhausburger and my husband had the Wiener Schnitzel. The service was very attentive, the atmosphere was very nice. Finally there was dessert with sparklers and a serenade for my husband. There isn't something like this everywhere!!!

At 7:30 p.m., the restaurant's room temperature was at least 24 degrees Celsius. The table was reserved under my first name, as shown on the sign on the table. And then the same detached, affected tittering followed from the waitress, a person who could have been my daughter. "My name is... I'll accompany you through this evening."... as if a multi-hour entertainment program were about to follow. The food arrived quickly and was served to the table. No salt or anything similar. No spices on the tables. I know the vegetables from Frosta. Everything was missing there; everything was pre-packaged, prepared according to instructions. The lamps were from Ikea, the armchairs were light and cheap. A restaurant that wants to be more than it is. Not recommended.

Exceptionally attentive staff. Very good food, even my daughter-in-law, who is the sous chef, rated it highly. The burgers were top-notch, the wild boar cheeks were top-notch, and the fish was also great. This time it was my birthday, and I was treated to dessert with sparklers and a serenade. We've been here seven times in 2024, but today... it was nothing! After 25 minutes, the beer arrived, which was supposed to be an Alster. My wife was bombarded with tartar sauce. The portions were half the usual size, but the fried fish was cooked. The service was also awful... I drove a 300km detour for this restaurant last year. I don't know if I'll do it again, really sad :-(

Top restaurant on the beach ☀️ a bit small but that gives it an atmosphere like a café. The food is very tasty. Unfortunately, the dishes are a bit awkward for small children (awkward cup and saucer with hot chocolate). I found the decoration a bit kitschy and not modern - but it doesn't have to be 🤗 This definitely gives the Kösti its very own charm.

I had a reservation (I specifically mentioned that I was coming with two [well-behaved] dogs). Apparently, they forgot about it. So I got a very busy seat in front of the kitchen. The staff was (almost overly) friendly, but seemed somewhat artificial. And the persistent use of first names...a matter of taste! I had a burger, €18, nothing special. The place was busy at 6 p.m., mostly young parents with children, so the owners' concept is working.

Went here spontaneously as a group of 4. We got a table. Service is courteous and quick, as is the kitchen. There was a bit of difficulty placing the order at first, but it wasn't all that bad. Pleasant room temperature and the volume was also right. Food was tasty & reasonably priced. Unfortunately the decor wasn't the highlight for us, but tastes differ. A very charming restaurant with good food. However, there's still a lot of room for improvement in terms of reservations and customer service. We've been there several times now, and after the last faux pas, we won't be back!

I was just here for a day trip and wanted something nice to eat. This place is definitely the best find I could have found on the spur of the moment! Super nice staff, you can get wet wipes on request to clean your hands if you've been to the beach before. The young waitress with an undercut and tattoos, super sweet! I felt totally comfortable. We were in Lübeck for a day yesterday and spontaneously decided to have dinner in Travemünde. After the reviews were so good, we reserved a table at DAS KÖSTLICH. Luckily, because we had a super delicious meal with great service in a cozy atmosphere. Friendly, polite, cozy, beautiful, delicious... simply delicious! I also found it really great that my husband's empty plate was only cleared away when I had finished eating. Unfortunately it's no longer a given in restaurants these days, but it is here. To the entire team: keep it up!!!

Wir waren gestern für einen Tag in Lübeck und haben spontan beschlossen, in Travemünde zu Abend zu essen. Nachdem die Bewertungen so gut waren, haben wir im DAS KÖSTLICH einen Tisch reserviert. Zum Glück, denn wir hatten ein super leckeres Essen mit tollem Service in einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Freundlich, höflich, gemütlich, schön, lecker... einfach köstlich! Ganz toll fand ich zusätzlich, dass der leere Teller meines Mannes erst abgeräumt wurde, als auch ich fertig mit dem Essen war. Ist leider heutzutage in Restaurants nicht mehr selbstverständlich, aber hier schon. An das gesamte Team: macht weiter so!!!

The atmosphere is great, the staff is really nice, almost too much. A really nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was only partially convincing. The Camenbert as a starter had no class at all, the toasted bread was dry and hard. Price/performance wasn't even close. The wild boar cheeks with Brussels sprouts were great. But the original Viennese veal schnitzel didn't deserve its name and, like fried potatoes, it drowned in fat. Too bad. By the way, we would have drunk more, but that seemed difficult.

Wir hatten Labskaus und Camenbert als Vorspeise sowie Burger und Sauerfleisch als Hauptgänge. Alles war frisch, hausgemacht und gut. Angemessene Portionen, nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig. Das Personal war stets aufmerksam. Die Preise sind für dieses Niveau schon fast günstig. Ich kann das Köstlich weiterempfehlen.

Very disappointed... although this is "only" about the service (we didn't get to eat): We ordered a table for the evening at lunchtime and made a binding reservation for the exact table we wanted in the restaurant with the friendly lady at reception. We arrived at the restaurant in good spirits in the evening and found that the reserved table was occupied. That wouldn't have been a problem on its own (especially since another table was kept free for us), but the reaction of the lady at the reception on duty that evening was impossible. First we were told that you would never reserve fixed tables (which the colleague at lunchtime didn't know) and then the overwhelmed service staff became rude - instead of apologizing and explaining it sensibly (the customer is king?). My suggestion to buy us a mailing list after dinner for this mishap (a very simple and inexpensive solution to the restaurant's mistake) was commented on with the sentence "that's blackmail." The conversation became even more unpleasant and we then left the restaurant. Conclusion: There seems to be a lack of communication and organization internally, the understanding as a service provider of the behavior towards a customer can be improved and the competence of the employee at the evening reception is not there. We hope that such a mishap does not happen to you, the readers of this review, and that you can enjoy a lovely evening.

Google rating for the restaurant Köstel in Travemünde I don't normally write Google reviews, but in this case I have to vent my outrage. This review specifically does not refer to the food as we did not eat there. Rather, it relates to dealing with a toilet emergency involving my 5-year-old son. Our son is at an age where going to the toilet cannot be planned or postponed for a long time. As we were on the way back to our accommodation, approximately at the Köstel restaurant, he expressed an urgent need for a toilet. We immediately went into the restaurant to politely ask if he could use the restroom. At this point there were only 2-3 guests present and most of the tables were empty. However, our request was categorically rejected, even though it was clear that it was an emergency situation. Instead, we were directed to the public toilets - but they were so far away that we could no longer reach them without causing an accident. We were asked in no uncertain terms to leave the restaurant. I completely understand that restaurants near the beach don't want to become public toilets. It is absolutely understandable that not every adult is allowed to use the toilet there. But denying a small child access to the toilet in an emergency situation is simply inhumane. There would have been different solutions: We could have been informed that it was not a public toilet, but made an exception for once. A fee could have been charged - which I would have paid without hesitation. One could have simply reacted humanely. Luckily, the neighboring Hotel Atlantic (in the same building) has service staff with more sensitivity and common sense. They immediately recognized the situation and directed us to the toilet, which made it only a “half accident”. We are in Travemünde for a week to celebrate my mother's birthday and had considered Restaurant Kösisch for a birthday dinner. But after this experience, this restaurant will not get a cent from us - not now and not in the future. If you also believe that such behavior towards children is unacceptable, you should think twice about supporting this heartless establishment.

Points of criticism: There is a table for two people in front of the loophole from the kitchen for the service staff. That is simply too narrow and not very prudent. The salt and pepper mills are not adapted to the ambience. Simple refill mills with ceramic grinders would be more stylish. Please leave the water glasses on the table. Especially when a large water bottle is ordered🙃

The fried fish was juicy and tasted excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last.

We were very excited about the really fresh and homemade food. The food, sour meat, schnitzel, burgers and fried fish was on the point, very tasty and the service was perfect, friendly and humorous.

This was our third time at Das Käß in Travemünde. Basically it can be said that the ambience, the service and also the food tend to be above average. However, in this specific case you have to say that with a “Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes” for just under €28, you can expect both a little more fried potatoes and a significant side dish (salad or similar). Unfortunately, neither was the case. This restaurant in a prominent location (in the building of the Atlantic Grand Hotel Travemünde) has earned a good name and corresponding reviews. However, you shouldn't rest on your laurels in the long run; you have to continually “stay on the ball,” especially when it comes to the quality of the food. In the hope and expectation that exactly that will happen, we look forward to our next visit.

There were four of us as guests, two of whom took the 3-course winter menu, which is definitely recommended. At a price of 41, - you can speak of a fair price-performance ratio. The other two guests had Labskaus and Wiener Schnitzel as their main course and were also more than satisfied. The service was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and cozy - you have to get that right first. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Whenever we are in Travemünde we eat there. We once again liked the relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't too loud and the light was very pleasant and indirect. The service was friendly as always and we enjoyed the food. You can count on having a nice evening and we would be happy to come back.

Finally I was there and I was very pleasantly surprised :-) The location is of course great, just a few steps away from the beach station and almost directly on the beach promenade. The restaurant is modern, particularly lovingly furnished, very cozy and there is plenty of space at the table. The welcome and service was consistently warm and attentive in every respect. This is hospitality at a high level. :-) The food was delicious (salmon fillet on grilled vegetables), and when I ordered I was asked if I liked the fish fried until translucent. Class!!! :-) There is also a nice selection of matching wines and other drinks. The prices are also justified for what is on offer. Thank you for the beautiful and delicious evening on January 16, 2025 I'm already looking forward to the next visit :-)

We chose this place based on the reviews, reserved a table in advance and traveled especially from Lübeck. We expected that if you booked in advance you would be seated at one of the best tables, in reality in an empty room! we sat at the most uncomfortable table near the kitchen and the toilet. It was unpleasant and really spoiled the overall impression of being in that place. The sun was shining outside the window, the weather was nice, we wanted to enjoy it in a cozy atmosphere, but instead we had to look at the wall, eat quickly and leave. The waitress (a lame woman) wasn't very courteous or friendly either, she spoke rather harshly, smelled of cigarettes and sometimes switched to English when I only spoke to her in German. For what? The food wasn't bad, but in my dish (wild salmon on grilled vegetables) the potatoes were in their skins, and it wasn't a fresh "baby potato", but old and with a thick skin, I wouldn't cook that with the skin on, it is not that tasty. Unfortunately we weren't so happy. When you go to a restaurant, you want to feel like a welcome guest who is being offered the best, thus putting the time spent there in a good mood. Unfortunately, this is not such a place.

In short: the food was very good, the service was “interesting”.

Went for dinner on New Year's Eve. The food itself is ok, but nothing extraordinary. However, the service left much to be desired. Only after 45 minutes at the table were the first drinks served. There seemed to be a lack of agreement between the staff and the fact that they wanted to share an appetizer was not communicated. Despite the high standards, it doesn't seem to be a given that separate cutlery is served for different courses. The lack of a well-stocked bar ultimately didn't allow us to stay longer than necessary.

Here the name says it all - delicious food and drinks, very warm hosts and a very nice, cozy atmosphere. Here the guest is warmly welcomed and feels comfortable. Suggestion for improvement: labeling on the windows or the facade. The restaurant cannot be recognized as such from the outside. It feels like part of the hotel and is difficult to find.

Gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant, Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Das Essen von Vorspeise bis Nachspeise war top! Noch dazu war das Personal sehr freundlich, es machte unseren Abend zu einem unvergesslichen. Wer zum Lachen in den Keller geht, ist hier falsch. Delicious schnitzel and fried fish, good selection of beer and wine. Nice atmosphere inside, friendly and fast service, reasonable prices. Gladly again. Update: We've eaten there for the fifth time now and haven't been disappointed once.

Be sure to visit! Went to DAS KÖSTLICH twice during our week-long vacation and we were really sad that we only became aware of this restaurant halfway through our vacation. A super cozy restaurant with a lot of charm, a great mix of the modern and the cozy. A great price-performance ratio. The food tastes excellent and the portions were absolutely sufficient. Little guests are very welcome and the waitress really helps them to place their orders. Coloring books were offered to help the little guests pass the time. Friendly, courteous, funny service. Employees are all connected to each other using the latest technology and can therefore communicate easily. Definitely recommended and not just worth a visit.

Everything is great. It was tasty! The only thing that sells a mini salad for 6 is very, very expensive. Especially if there is just a little bit of green in the shell. Therefore points deducted.

Food wasn't special, real original Wiener Schnitzel, 2 small pieces with firm breading. I can get the fried fish better at any snack bar, the breading is way too thick. Tried it once and I won't try it again.

There is good food here, nice service, even if things could sometimes be quicker. The ambience is very nice, I found it a little too cool.
