We had a delicious meal here and received very friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy, though for my taste there was a bit too much generic nautical decor. We felt very comfortable.

We came here for dinner during our vacation. We were greeted warmly and then shown to our table. I really liked the option to order either through the waitstaff or virtually contactlessly via the app. I only tried that when paying. It was fantastic; I'd never seen anything like it before. We ordered a round of drinks/aperitifs beforehand – excellent. The food was also very good, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The wait time was acceptable. We were very satisfied because everything was excellent. The service, in particular, was great and made me feel welcome. Top-notch, we'll definitely be back.

Delicious, friendly, and cozy. The online table reservation worked well, with a friendly welcome and a cheerful waitress. The food was excellent. Fresh herring for me, fried fish for my son, and schnitzel for my husband. All the dishes were traditional, but still special thanks to high-quality ingredients and a touch of flair. I found the prices very fair. Plus, a homey atmosphere in the best sense of the word. Comfortable chairs, warm lighting, and lots of candles. We'll be back!

A nice restaurant in itself, but the vegetarian options are practically nonexistent. There are a couple of salads and the baked cauliflower to choose from, but nothing else. Of the 12 main courses, only one is meat-free. I find that truly unthinkable these days.

We had a fantastic evening at the restaurant yesterday. The waitress escorted us to our table and we were able to take in the ambiance of the restaurant. Shortly after, we received the menu. Making the right choice wasn't easy, as everything sounded delicious. We opted for beetroot tartare and shrimp for starters. For the main course, we chose the schnitzel with two fried eggs and, on the server's recommendation, the braised beef shoulder. The starters were incredibly delicious, and the shrimp were probably among the best I've ever eaten anywhere. My wife was also very pleased with her tartare. The main courses also impressed us, with their craftsmanship and taste. We received a bill of €102.00, including drinks, and we think the price/performance ratio is completely justified. We ate there yesterday and today. It was simply fantastic. The name says it all about the restaurant! The service was very nice and friendly. I can only recommend it. Wow. Simply wow! We found "Das Köstlich" on the first evening of our vacation and returned there again and again for the rest of our vacation. The restaurant's ambiance and friendly and attentive staff are impressive. Added to that is the relatively straightforward menu, which is nevertheless quite something. All the dishes can be found in many other restaurants, and most of them are delicious, but what's offered here is unique and different. Explosions of flavor and moments of surprise while enjoying them. Simply amazing! We were able to enjoy several dishes, and not a single one disappointed. Every menu was more than "delicious." Anyone who simply walks past "Das Köstlich" is missing out. Many thanks to the team at "Das Köstlich." We will definitely recommend you!

We were guests at Köstlich last night. The name speaks for itself and fully applies to this dining room, which has been decorated with great attention to detail. The staff were more than friendly and anticipated our every need. Here, you feel like you're with friends. The food was very attractively presented and tasted simply delicious. We were also thrilled that digitalization seems to work in Germany after all, if you want it to. If it takes a while, you can easily reorder drinks, food, or dessert using the QR code. Where else can you find something like this? I had to try it right away, and lo and behold, even I managed it. However, this nice gimmick is nothing compared to the incredibly great service, which, despite a busy dining room, was still available for a quick snack. In short, we'll see you again! The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly. However, we were quite surprised by the bill we received at the end. We had ordered, among other things, a children's dish (for a three-year-old), for which I specifically requested that it be kept extra small. What was served was a really small schnitzel with mashed potatoes and mostly carrots – a truly child-sized portion. However, this was not reflected in the bill: The carrots were charged an extra €6, and the schnitzel cost the standard price of €18. We found that a real shame, since we had asked for a smaller portion – which we received. In the end, it was actually the most expensive dish on our bill. In addition, the wait for the food was over an hour, which was quite long, especially with a child.

It's a gem in Travemünde. The food is down-to-earth, regional with a certain something. The service, especially from the restaurant management, is second to none. There's always a smile and an open ear for guests' needs. The restaurant is modern and generously equipped.

Unfortunately, if you order a starter, you have to wait a very long time for your main course. But that's really the only criticism, because otherwise it was simply excellent. Highly recommended.

Tradition meets fine dining❤️ If you like traditional German cuisine prepared to a Michelin-star standard, you've come to the right place. However, if you're very hungry, I recommend ordering one or two starters as the portions are very manageable. I had the Labskaus as a sample portion and the Königsberger Klopse for the main course. The food was prepared with a lot of love and purity and was so delicious and perfectly balanced. In terms of taste, simply a ten out of ten. Unfortunately, I was very hungry as we were there in the evening and I hadn't really eaten anything during the day. The service is very attentive. The wait for the food was okay; there were three of us and we waited 35 minutes for our food. The place was just very busy. All in all, I would eat there again and again and would simply order a couple of more starters next time.

It's OK. If I don't want to eat fish in Travemünde, I'd go back; the prices were fair.

We really liked the decor, very cozy and, above all, comfortable seating!! The staff was friendly. Today, the two of us each had a farmer's breakfast, although I ordered less bacon. When our food arrived, I asked which plate had less bacon. They then said both probably had less bacon, as both portions were cooked in one piece. My husband decided not to add bacon. Because there were two slices of gherkin, I asked if I could have another gherkin, which they agreed to, adding that it was already sliced. No problem. On the bill, this single sliced ​​gherkin was charged as a CUCUMBER SALAD for a whopping SIX euros. I find that really strange! I would have understood a surcharge of about two euros. Although this single gherkin could have been offset against the bacon. When asked, they said they would sort it out internally. After a while, we left... What a pity...

The food was very high quality - one day a sampler of Labskaus and Königsberger Klopse - hmmmmmm. Day two, schnitzel with fried potatoes... Hmmmmmm. I can't share the portions as they were too small - I barely managed it. The Villeroy & Boch porcelain is lovely - and you can even pay with Amex. A table is hard to get, but we were lucky twice and would gladly come back next time we're in Travemünde to see if it's still good. Until then, I'll try out the Filius in Berlin.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food tasted excellent. The portions could perhaps have been a bit more generous, perhaps with a spoonful more mashed potatoes or a piece of vegetables. My Königsberger Klopse (a kind of meatball) were excellently flavored and made with veal, which isn't the case in many restaurants. A little more sauce, not quite as thick, would have been welcome. The wines were explained to us in detail, including their origins and flavors. The staff also helped us find sources for the wine, as we enjoyed it very much. Since we visit Travemünde several times a year, we will definitely dine here again. Given our many years of vacationing in Travemünde and our familiarity with almost all of its restaurants, this is one of the best.

Great restaurant, first of all, we're in the wrong place. It's far too fancy for our budget, but we were proven wrong. Super friendly service, superbly prepared food, and it tasted absolutely delicious, and the price/performance ratio was excellent. Others could learn a thing or two from this place. They should eat there and take their cooking to the next level and not just offer mass-produced, expensive meals. Just €50 for two with drinks, and four-legged friends are also very welcome. We waited over an hour for our food, even though the restaurant was only half full, and then only got a child's portion...it bears no resemblance to the food from three years ago. The fried fish was only half as large, the fried potatoes were less than half as large, and the cucumber salad was only 5 slices...Unfortunately, this was our last time here.

We've been spending our August holidays in Travemünde for years—and of course, in the evenings at Köstlich. This year, too, the kitchen shone with its imagination. It's a shame Sabine wasn't there; we would have loved to say goodbye to her on Monday, but Yasmin is absolutely her equal: top-notch service, top-notch food...

We had the plaice fillet and the fried fish. Our little 4-year-old daughter got a portion of fried potatoes. Here, you can eat with your eyes; the food is beautifully presented. My plaice fillet melted in your mouth, delicious... My wife also loved her fried fish. My daughter polished off her fried potatoes. I do have a small BUT here. The portions aren't large; if you're used to large portions, you should plan on having an appetizer. The staff is attentive, and the QR code-accessible page with table assignments is a nice plus.

The food was generally okay. The portion of Labskaus was rather small and not the usual Labskaus, which is rather finely pounded. This one was quite coarse. There was nothing to complain about with the fried fish, except that the salt seemed to have been forgotten. The breading was nice and crispy, the fried potatoes were truly delicious, and the tartar sauce was nothing to sneeze at. Our service was friendly and prompt, but initially seemed a bit overwhelmed when it came to paying by card. This, too, was resolved without any complications. The food arrived quickly at the table.

This was our third visit to Köstlich with different groups. The child-friendly service ensured we returned. Reservations were easy over the phone, and two highchairs were available. Unfortunately, the waitress seemed only superficially friendly and rather annoyed by the children (2 years old). When someone criticized the burger during clearing, because in our opinion, the price/performance/taste ratio wasn't right, we were practically ignored and not really spoken to again. Two of us left Köstlich immediately after eating with the children, and we weren't even bid farewell. That day, there was another younger waitress on site. She was very friendly and attentive. She even arranged for her colleague to come to our table to pay. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that day and don't know if we'll come back again.

Great restaurant because...the service is exceptionally good, on a personal level, which I like. Great ambiance. Great homemade Labskaus, home-pickled onions, home-pickled cucumber, amazing presentation as a starter, amazing taste. The main course was braised ox cheeks, amazing presentation, amazing taste, the ox cheeks were still too firm (hence one star removed), but as I said, delicious, with all the side dishes, top-notch. Someone cooks with heart, and that's all that matters. Oh yes, Travemünde is a family town. Unfortunately, children can't win on the memory card (second reason one star removed), so this restaurant lacks heart, which doesn't really fit. ...yes, there's the rice pudding. My little ones in the family don't eat it at all. There's still room for improvement there.

Our experience wasn't that great, or rather, the food was good, but the service and value for money were rather poor.

Do not recommend this restaurant. Terrible service. Got the wrong order for two people in the group, no compensation for this and not very welcoming staff. No children's menu, and the kitchen did not have the ability to make any adjustments to any of the dishes on the menu (like not adding dressing or removing avocado cream from the hamburger). It was all or nothing. Eat the meatballs, not very tasty.

Hmm, we went there twice, first to try it out, and we were served wonderfully on the terrace, with wonderful attention, and the food was good. On July 5th, we had booked for nine people. They also asked for the occasion—in this case, it was the birthday of twins (my mother and her brother). It was noted, but nobody really cared. A congratulations from the lady at the entrance, who then escorted the reservations to the table, would have been nice. The table was then placed between the kitchen's entry and exit lanes, and people were constantly whizzing past the birthday table. The server took the order at the front of the table, so the guests at the back had to shout their orders across the room. Absolutely unacceptable; as a server, you're allowed to approach the guests. An older colleague made up for this incompetence and overwork. Overall, we had to wait a long time for the food, which was fine in the end. Unfortunately, the drinks supply was a disaster. After the meal, it was more important to tidy up the shop than to continue to take care of the guests. So, unfortunately, it was a disappointment for a birthday dinner. There's still room for improvement.

Our waitress Vivienne was so good , I can really count not too many like her in my life experience, and I am 74, from San Francisco, where food industry is high rated. I am first time in Lübek, without knowledge of German , I can attest, that our time spent in Das Kōstlich was super, thanks to Vivienne !
