Ein kleines Steak Restaurant mit einen sehr schönen Aussenbereich am Mühlenbach. Super Service und gutes Essen mit Schwerpunkt auf Gegrilltem. Von mir 5 Sterne.

Was soll ich sagen ein schönes kleines verstecktes Restaurant in der Innenstadt. Super freundliche Atmosphäre und nettes Personal. Mega leckeres Essen der Preis ist für die Portion mehr als gerechtfertigt . Vorallem alles frisch zubereitet. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei.

Sehr leckeres Essen, schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Freisitz , trotz mitten in der Stadt, mit viel Grün, also angenehm zu sitzen.

Nettes Lokal mit vielen Tischen. Wirkt jedoch nicht zu groß durch verschiedene, teils leicht abgetrennte Räumlichkeiten. Köstliches Essen, vor allem das Hüftsteak ist sehr zu empfehlen. Pommes, Bratkartoffeln sind sehr lecker. Gut gewürzte Tomatensuppe kann man auch vorwegnehmen. Könnte für manche zu scharf sein. Ansonsten ansprechende Einrichtung und nette Bedienung. Die Lage ist auch gut, sodass man danach schön in Richtung Innenstadt flanieren kann. Preise sind auch gut. Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag ist das Brot. Zwar knusprig und gut, schmeckt aber kaum nach Knoblauch. Da könnte man noch etwas machen. Insgesamt aber wirklich empfehlenswert!

Super Essen und freundliches Personal

Sehr schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Es wurde auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Trotz 13 Personen und verschiedener Speisen wurde nahezu zeitgleich serviert. Respekt.

Eines von erschreckend wenigen Restaurants - zumindest solchen, die nicht "Steak" oder "House" im Titel führen - in denen man nichtsdestotrotz ein "richtiges" Steak bekommt. Viele (auch bessere) Restaurants bieten dergleichen zwar an; es schmeckt dann aber in aller Regel einfach nach kurzgebratenem Rind. Ein "Steak" ist für mich etwas Anderes! So vergebe ich 5 Sterne für das Essen selbst; bereits dafür, dass ein Steak hier auch wirklich nach Steak schmeckt. Das scheint mir gerechtfertigt, weil es nach meiner Erfahrung eben so selten ist - und sogar, obwohl die Beilagen m. E. nicht absolut oberste Schublade waren: Die baked potato war übergart, etwas süß und braun unter der leicht faltigen Schale, die Kräuterbutter viel Butter bei wenig Kräutern und das Brot einen Hauch zu trocken. Das ist aber Meckern auf hohem Niveau! Kleine Imperfektionen, nicht Unvermögen, mangelnde Qualität oder Gedankenlosigkeit. Es war auch enorm viel los an jenem Tag - ich werde bei einem zweiten Besuch noch einmal "hinterherschmecken". Vielleicht fährt man dann den vorerst zurückgehaltenen fünften Stern ein.

Wir Waren für einen besonderen Anlass im Mühlenbach in Schleswig und es war wirklich stimmig. Das Essen war lecker und gut gewürzt, man merkt dass da jemand kocht der was davon versteht. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Staff – sehr nett, aufmerksam und locker drauf. Man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt, ohne dass es aufgesetzt wirkte. Ambiente ist gepflegt und ruhig, genau richtig um entspannt zu essen. Preis-Leistung passt. Für uns war es ein besonderer Abend und das Mühlenbach war dafür eine richtig gute Wahl. Kommen wieder.

Die Schweinespieße waren köstlich.

Hatten reserviert und wurden zur angegebenen Uhrzeit herzlich empfangen und konnten uns erst einmal unsere gewünschten Getränke bestellen. Nach Bestellung unseres Essens kam dieses auch in einer angemessenen Zeit serviert. Rundherum gelungener Abend. Dankeschön...gerne wieder.

Das Essen war super gut. Getränke auch. Es war auch eine größere Gruppe anwesend, dadurch war es sehr laut. Im großen und ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden und werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen Das Restaurant ist definitiv weiter zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war insgesamt gut und geschmacklich überzeugend, allerdings konnte der Service leider nicht mithalten. Es hat sehr lange gedauert, bis wir erneut nach Getränken gefragt wurden. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass uns eine Sauce Hollandaise berechnet wurde, die wir weder bestellt noch erhalten haben. Trotz Hinweis darauf mussten wir diese dennoch bezahlen, was ich als sehr enttäuschend empfinde. Insgesamt also eine gemischte Erfahrung: gutes Essen, aber deutliche Schwächen im Service und bei der Abrechnung.

Wir waren letzte Woche im Restaurant Mühlenbach essen und waren sehr begeistert. Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll. Sehr Sauber und hochwertig eingerichtet. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl, sowohl für den kleinen als auch für den großen Hunger. Ich hatte den Steak Teller und das Essen war von Anfang bis Ende gelungen. Der der gewünschte Gargrad war perfekt getroffen. Auch bei den Beilagen mit Pommes und Knoblauchbrot hat einfach alles gestimmt. Besonders positiv war der Eindruck des netten Inhabers, der bei einer von uns gewünschten Verkostung mehrerer im Sortiment stehender Obstler mit seiner Fachkenntnis überzeugte und uns sehr gut beraten hat :) Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr gute Küche zu fairen Preisen. Das Angebot ist breit aufgestellt und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Wir waren dort zum ersten mal und waren angenehm überrascht. Obwohl es recht voll war, bekamen wir noch einen Tisch, vielleicht sollten wir in Zukunft dort zur Sicherheit vorbestellen. Das war garantiert nicht unser letzter Besuch. ❤️

Wir haben den letzten freien Tisch ohne Reservierung bekommen.men und fad Essen mit allem Drumherum war wirklich sehr gut.

Sehr leckerer, frischer Schaschlik! Nicht in Soße getränkt, aber zart und top gewürzt! Pommes, Reis und der Beilagensalat ebenfalls tiptop. Personal super gelaunt, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl und hat eine große Auswahl an Speisen zum fairen Preis.

Mit neuen Pächter und Service auch im Restaurant sehr viel verändert,renoviert. Portionen sind ausreichend und von guter Qualität. Mit Reservierung, und akzeptabler Wartezeit. Preis und Leistung passen sehr gut.

An sich sehr lecker, allerdings wurde die Bestellung ein wenig verhauen und wir haben lediglich Nichts gesagt, da wir selbst erst sehr spät da waren und wir sonst den Feierabend des netten Personals verschoben hätten. Aus meinem bestellten Filetsteak mit Pommes wurde der Filetteller mit Bratkartoffeln und das Cordon-Bleu vom Schwein mit Bratkartoffeln wurde Cordon-Bleu vom Schwein mit Pommes, welches leider sehr zäh war.

Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Wenn wir das nächste Mal in Schleswig sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Mühlenbach ist immer einen Besuch wert, egal, ob Mittagstisch oder Abendessen. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist groß, hervorzuheben ist die Qualität der Zutaten und die liebevolle Zubereitung. Das Fleisch, der Fisch sind hervorragend auf den Punkt gegart, Gemüse und Beilage sowie der Salat perfekt. Der Service ist einfach großartig, flott unterwegs, authentisch freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut top. Macht weiter so, wir kommen immer gerne wieder zu Euch, vielen DANK!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort. Super lecker der Grillteller 😋 Die Dame vom Service legt leider nur die Speisekarte auf den Tisch ohne auf die Mittagskarte hinzuweisen, ist nicht so vorteilhaft aus der Kundensicht, wenn man das erste Mal dort ist ... mehrmals beobachtet. Ansonsten kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

Ich war am heutigen Tage in diesem Lokal essen. Meine Bestellung hatte der Koch leider vergessen. Die Kellner haben dies umgehend bemerkt und sofort Bescheid über die verbleibende (sehr kurze) Wartezeit gegeben. In der Zwischenzeit wurden bereits die Pommes gereicht und Gratis Schnaps ausgeschenkt. Jeder kann mal etwas vergessen, es kommt auf die Reaktion an. Der Service war super ein jüngerer deutscher Kellner konnte mit Humor und schnellem Service überzeugen. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wer entspannt essen möchte und Lust hat auf eine coole und entspannte Bedienung ist hier genau richtig. Gerne wieder !

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, nur lässt der Service noch einige Steigerungen zu. Sehr lange Wartezeit nach der Bestellung und das Eis wurde vergessen. Kam dann aber nach erneuter Bestellung nach.

Ich gehe dort öfters und auch gerne hin. Die Kellner sind immer sehr freundlich und verbreiten gute Stimmung. Das Essen ist ebenfalls sehr lecker und gut gewürzt. Ebenfalls kann man es immer gut Nachwürzen. Wirklich Lecker, ein Muss in Schleswig.

Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut. Das Fleisch war so wie gewünscht rosa, die Pommes knusprig und das Knoblauchbrot sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Perfekt.

Delicious food, everything very fresh, including the salad! The service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere very pleasant! A wide selection of dishes, including Yugoslavian and steaks. The restrooms were very attractively designed and clean! Highly recommended!

A fantastic lunch! The fries were delicious and perfectly salted (not too little, not too much). The meats on my mixed grill were high quality and very tender. The sauces were served separately, which was a nice touch. The lunch menu offered excellent value for money, and the portion size of the mixed grill was superb! My only minor criticism is that my Coke didn't taste like the original Coke but rather like some other, inferior brand. But that's really nitpicking.

We spontaneously stopped by the restaurant while we were on a short break in Schleswig. It was so cozy, the young waiter was super friendly, and the food was incredibly delicious 👍😍. What more could you want?! We'll definitely be back! ❣️ Thank you so much! 🙏

Wow, I haven't been here in a long time. A very, very nice and inviting restaurant. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day... very unfriendly, almost rude. But the young man quickly made everything right again. His service was excellent. Friendly and attentive... that's how it should be! 🙏

There was a table reserved for 6 people Saturday When we just wanted to know if 4 more people could come to the table We suddenly didn't have a reservation for today, Saturday They had made a mistake But there was nothing to be done Everything reserved Really bad service Good thing we came in and asked Possibly extra people So I think if you want to be sure of an agreement You should probably have it in writing

The service and atmosphere were good. The food wasn't great. The meat was overcooked. The baked potato tasted old and soggy. What a shame 😞

The restaurant has changed owners and chefs relatively often. Currently, the food quality and selection are good, although quite greasy. However, the restaurant is outdated and dusty.

It's always a lovely meal at Mühlenbach. You have to reserve in advance, otherwise you'll rarely get a table. The food is delicious and the portions are really generous. The service is exceptionally friendly.

It's actually very nice, but cold food is absolutely unacceptable.

The food was simple but tasty. Unfortunately, the turkey steak was a bit dry, but according to the waitress, that's normal. The ambiance is very pleasantly rustic.

A rare, wonderful experience. We had a wonderful dinner with five friends on Sunday evening. I apparently left my wallet in the restaurant, but the next day, someone from the Mühlenbach team came to my house and returned it to me before I even noticed it was gone.

The food was delicious. The service was really very friendly. Special praise goes to Niklas, who was a really nice waitress.

Sometimes it's the simple things. I had the sauerfleisch (sauer meat) with fried potatoes. Remoulade was good. Fried potatoes were very good (as always). Sauerfleisch was super good. Normally, you get relatively dry meat cubes. Here, it's slices that are juicy and tender. Absolutely top-notch.

The restaurant is one of the best in the area. I've rarely experienced such a diverse range of meats served to perfection. Everything is always served table by table. And even if one person at the table has fish, another has fillet steak, another has rump steak, and a fourth has pork medallions, everything is piping hot and cooked to perfection. No one has to wait for their food; everyone can start at the same time... Plus, the prices are really reasonable, and the food is worth every cent.

We were at Mühlenbach yesterday. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The salad dressing was watered down, as if it had been slightly diluted. We had two of the gypsy skewers. They were tasty, but: I didn't want fries, preferring a baked potato. This also took away the rice from the plate. I found the meat bland. My husband's steak had a thick tendon, and mine also had two smaller tendons. The baked potato didn't have much flavor. We waited in vain for a "distributor" afterward. I know, though, that they usually offer them... maybe only for certain guests 🤷 We've been to this restaurant several times and aren't used to such mediocre quality. What a shame....

We were there on July 7, 2025. First of all, the atmosphere was nice, even if it was a bit loud. And the female waitress was very friendly! However, I was very unpleasantly surprised when I was served the hot fried plaice on melamine dishes. Of course, it wasn't the waitress's fault. The salad, meanwhile, was served on a porcelain plate. Using such plastic dishes is completely unacceptable for a restaurant!!! 😠 When you're paying mid-€20 for a meal, you don't want to eat from plastic/plastic dishes. Since I was hungry and tired, I reacted incorrectly in the situation. I didn't complain. Somehow, I didn't like the dish very much, probably because I already suspected from touching the material that it was melamine and I knew about the health risks. I then discovered at the vacation home that it was a melamine plate because, after eating, I photographed the manufacturer "Qsquared" on the underside of the plate and did some research. It turns out that this American company sells melamine catering tableware... To the OWNER or operator: In case you don't already know: Melamine is hazardous to health. The consumer protection agency advises against it: They sometimes write that melamine and formaldehyde have shown harmful effects in animal studies. Improper handling, such as placing dishes at temperatures over 70°C on such tableware, can cause formaldehyde and melamine to migrate into the food! Household items containing melamine should only be exposed to temperatures up to 70°C. Hot liquids like coffee or soup should also not come into contact with them. I can very well imagine that I ingested the substances, because you can't expect a cook to measure the dish with a thermometer until it reaches 69°C.

The food is very good. The ambiance is pleasant. Unfortunately, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else after our meal. But I can live with that.

Four of us dined at this lovely restaurant in Schleswig's old town. We enjoyed a cozy atmosphere and very good, delicious food. The grilled liver is highly recommended, and the rump steak was cooked to perfection. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We have finished our holiday here in Schleswig today, we spent a great evening in the restaurant, the young waiter has that certain something that makes good staff, we can only recommend the restaurant

Our review would be better if the lady who served us had been a bit friendlier and didn't have that aura and demeanor that resembled a lieutenant. A little smile, even if it's difficult, goes a long way toward making a good impression on guests. The food was very, very delicious 👍 Kudos to the kitchen. The Schlei flounder and Mattjes (shrimp) with fried potatoes are highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

We went there for dinner last night (made a last-minute reservation by phone in the afternoon) and it was absolutely delicious! A lovely atmosphere inside, very friendly service, and incredibly delicious food 😋😋😋 We highly recommend it!

We decided at short notice to eat here. As a result, we didn't have a reservation! The unfriendly waitress simply said "outside," which meant that the only available seats were outside. We left because that's a polite way to say something like that!

An absolute stroke of luck! We spontaneously stopped by Mühlen-Bach in Schleswig yesterday and just barely managed to get a seat – that speaks volumes! The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was simply outstanding – especially the meat, which was cooked to perfection. The price was absolutely fair, too, especially considering the quality and portion size. All in all, a successful evening – we'll definitely be back!

I just came back from the restaurant. The meal was plentiful and delicious. One member of my group didn't like the peppercorn sauce. When I asked the staff if everything was okay, the peppercorn steak said the sauce wasn't right. The waitresses should attend a seminar where they learn about friendliness and communication. If not, they should save themselves the trouble of asking if everything was okay! Regards Reinhold

Price and performance simply fit

We had truly delicious Schlei flounder (I would have served it the other way around, white side up) with perfectly cooked fried potatoes at an unbeatable lunch price. The regular price was also reasonable! The waiters—we had several of them—were friendly, seemed a bit overworked, but were still attentive. We'd love to come back!

The two of us were turned away in a very rude manner, with no indication of whether we could simply come back in an hour, for example. There were still tables available, including a few that didn't have "reserved" signs.

Wow, I don't often give full marks, but this restaurant is fantastic. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are really reasonable. Highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant with very good food.

Delicious sauerkraut and salad with turkey breast for lunch. Very fair prices, very generous portions. Shortly before 1:00, all the tables were occupied.

Very tasty, but since I like sauces, it was unfortunately too little for such a large schnitzel. Otherwise, everything was perfect, even a spot was free.

The food wasn't what we were used to. The pepper skewer for €24 was far too one-sided. Meat and croquettes or hash browns—you're sick of eating. The turkey steak was OK. The broccoli was too firm for my taste, and there wasn't enough hollandaise sauce. We're considering eating there again. We actually liked eating there before the change of ownership.

We had a grilled platter. It was very good value for money, but unfortunately the fries were hard. The atmosphere was very friendly and pleasant. It's nice to sit outside and listen to the brook.
