Food was great, and the food was served at pleasant intervals! However, the waiters lacked some coordination. Even what was not ordered was served! You can still work on it a bit! Reservations recommended!!

It's very cozy, I felt at home straight away when I came in. Everything very clean. The lady from the staff was also super competent, with charm and humor 👍 Restaurant has not yet been visited. Photos: (10/21/24)

I would like to share our experience at Mocca Stuben with you. We recently went to the restaurant for dinner with a large group. It was the second time for us because we had already eaten here last year. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed on this visit. We had a reservation in the evening and were guaranteed a time slot of 2 hours. We arrived about 15 minutes early and got our table straight away. Unfortunately, it took a very long time until we received the menu and drinks menu and were then able to order drinks and food. We finally had the food 1.5 hours later and were able to eat. After a quarter of an hour, while we were still eating, we were told to hurry up because the table would be reserved again. We have all fallen away from the faith! We pay a lot of money for the food even though 2 orders were wrong and we didn't want to wait any longer and it wasn't our fault that it took so long until we could order drinks and food. Like last year, we wanted a dessert, coffee and digestif after the main course... but the waitress just reacted annoyed and answered rudely. We were served and paid. The tip was accordingly reduced and she was then offended. I myself have worked as a chef de rang in a renowned restaurant and I would never have expected something like that here in this restaurant. But nowadays it is difficult to find and keep good staff. But with so many guests coming and going, you can afford to treat guests like that. Unfortunately it will be the last visit.

Very courteous service, excellent cuisine.

Reservation from home didn't work. We were very satisfied before the renovation (hotel). Only got a dinner reservation for 8 p.m. After 10 minutes we were informed that the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. So we didn't have a pleasant evening there. At 8:50 p.m. we were urged to pay extra because it closed at 9 p.m.

We were served perfectly and extremely friendly in a beautiful atmosphere. Antje is the very best! The food came quickly and the explanations about how to deal with Knieper were very nice!

There is no better restaurant on Helgoland. The service is absolutely excellent

We went there spontaneously for dinner and got a table outside straight away. Then we had to wait quite a long time for the menu, until we could order it was pretty quick. We waited a long time for our food, which isn't so bad if it's communicated correctly, and when we asked we only got a stroppy answer. Afterwards it turned out that we had probably been forgotten and the order was taken again. After that everything went pretty quickly and the food was very tasty.

It's best to reserve in advance, we were able to spontaneously get a seat at the counter. The food was very tasty, the fish dishes were cooked to perfection and the cordon bleu was also very juicy. The service was quick and friendly.

We went here for dinner with a group. The food was great. The only deduction: Because we were there about 5 minutes early, we were sent out again and had to wait 15 minutes for our table. It's not that bad, but I would have liked to have something to drink while I waited. But that wasn't offered. But price performance is top.

Highly recommend Wiener Schnitzel. On the second day I had the rump steak Land & Meer. This seemed almost raw at first. When asked, the steak was then seared medium. Nice service, but a bit overwhelmed by the many guests. We waited about 30 minutes for the card. After that, however, everything happened very quickly.

Very fine food. We had fried cod with chanterelle risotto and beetroot foam. We got a table spontaneously.

Despite the botched table reservation (after several emails including written confirmation!), Antje's team there pulled everything together and accommodated 12 of us! people! Unfortunately we only discovered this place for a drink on our last evening. But we were really excited. Antje’s recommendations were great. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to eat here anymore. The dishes that were served at the other tables made an excellent impression. On our next visit to the island, this will be the first place we will visit.

Restaurant with good German cuisine. The food was very tasty and the service was also very friendly. However, we found the price a bit high for the portion size, but that's a matter of perspective.

We spontaneously went to the Mocca Stuben with 2 children and 2 adults without a reservation. With a bit of luck we got a table. The service was friendly and practiced, noticeable in this day and age that nothing is written down but everything is remembered. The food was also good. The prices are comparatively high, but justified by the quality and service. Good alternative especially if you don't want to eat fish. Clear recommendation

There were nine of us and we ate very well, the service was great as always. I feel welcome here as a guest.

Since we liked it so much here on the first evening, we ate again on the second evening. The food is excellent, we had, among other things, asparagus with fish which tasted very good. The service is also excellent, attentive and friendly. So the waiter asked the following evening whether we wanted the same drinks as the previous evening. If you want to eat properly on Heligoland, but are also prepared to pay "a little" for it, this is the place for you.

Kutterscholle and Knieper are a poem and the service writes itself from time to time!!!!!

Very tasty and one of the best places to eat on Helgoland. The chocolate cake with a liquid center and the panfish are particularly delicious.

My personal favorite on the island! Great, very tasty food, friendly staff. The Mocca offers a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere all around. It is definitely recommended to reserve a seat. I really enjoyed being there and will definitely come back.

My favorite restaurant on Heligoland, the cuisine is fantastic and (compared to Hamburg prices) even inexpensive, the service is great, Antje is an original :) The rump steak Cafe de Paris had great meat quality, was cooked medium rare, as requested, and was an attractive size. The sauce is to die for! And the whole thing for under 30! But don't forget to reserve in advance!

I have eaten so well in a very, very long time, or never before. Everything was to the point. People like to give a good tip. After a year we went to the Mocca Stuben again. We left the restaurant with such deep disappointment. We had reserved by email 6 months in advance and also received a positive message regarding the reservation at 7 p.m. The restaurant was full and several people were already standing in the aisle. When I pointed out the reservation, it was not found. After many excuses, we waited and waited. Other people we heard from who had made reservations much later all arrived earlier. Also a table for 2 people. I pointed out that I am diabetic and have already injected. When we finally sat down the menu was missing, then we got our food. But our drinks didn't come. My husband had already eaten the food when the drinks arrived and only after I had to ask for them at the counter. Our 1st wedding anniversary in the Mocca Stuben. 😓.....................Back to your answer....You should see the errors...and be glad that we don't change the process to that of We have reported packing the take-away food at the table next to it...Ask your waitress.

We hadn't booked a table and we were welcomed very nicely and were able to eat dinner even though it was very full. The food is a dream and the service is great, super nice. We'd love to come back.

At this restaurant I ordered a gourmet duck salad for dinner. This was made with fresh ingredients and presented very attractively and was wonderfully complemented with bread. In terms of taste, it was very well put together and coordinated. It tasted very good! The service was very friendly, quick and competent. I can highly recommend this restaurant and would be happy to visit it again myself.

As every time we are on Heligoland, a visit to the Mocca-Stuben is a must. Very nice welcome and service from Ms. Antje and the other girls. We had the garlic and onion soup and then the pan fish and the land and sea. Everything is absolutely delicious and the meat couldn't be fried any better. And for dessert, a fantastic pistachio cream. Thank you very much and see you next time…!!!!!

This was our second time on Heligoland and also our second time in the Moccastuben. A cozy hotel, with nice rooms. In the morning you can have a delicious breakfast and in the evening the food is fantastic here.

Went for dinner with my girlfriend at the end of April. Everything was great, starting with the portion of Knieper (with instructions), the plaice and the Wiener Schnitzel. Everything was very good, we'll be back

Declaring 20€ for 6 breaded shrimps as a recommendation of the house and main course is really a bad joke

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with a total of 3 people and ate in the Mocca Stuben on 3 of those evenings. Luckily we already reserved the table at home. The food always tasted good to us, in our case vegetables in one day, the asparagus could have been cooked a little longer. But that's moaning at a high level. Our selection of fish, meat and vegetarian was always delicious. The staff was very nice and humorous too.

An honest, highly recommended restaurant that is correspondingly well attended - so definitely book a table!

Really very good food. Very friendly staff. This time my steak was a little too well done, but still very good due to the quality of the meat. And we were probably the first guests out, so the supply of drinks was a bit slow. Still worth a visit again and again if you really want to eat deliciously and well.

The food tasted very good. Big compliments to the chef(s)! Unfortunately, it's a bit small. Unfortunately the service was a disaster. We had been completely forgotten. The starter didn't come and the main course only came after we asked (about 50 minutes after ordering). Unfortunately it wasn't really hot anymore. I guess the waitress forgot to bring it to us. She then wanted to bring us a starter as a “dessert”. We then rejected that. Dessert was then included in the bill again. A pity! The service doesn't do justice to the food and ambience.

We went to Mocca twice during our stay on Heligoland. Both times we were thrilled with both the service and the food. 6 course menu in the Mocca Stuben. 1st course, greetings from the kitchen Grilled pork belly. 2nd course, porcini mushroom cappucinno with dried bacon. 3rd course, beef tartare with poached quail egg. 4th course, turbot rolls with salmon farce. 5th course, saddle of venison with speculoos crust and port wine shallots 6th course, Dessert Surprise, a chocolate ball filled with a scoop of ice cream. Everything prepared with a lot of love. It happened to be New Year's Eve 2023. Can you manage such a fabulous menu in 1.5 hours? No, that's not possible, we enjoyed it for three and a half hours, it was fantastic, thanks to everyone involved. Coincidentally, it was New Year's Eve 2023.

Even though we have been spending New Year's Eve with you for many years, we are always amazed at how you surprise and spoil us with your food. Always absolutely top class, your 6-course menu! And everything else is just right and we always have a lot of fun together in large groups. The fact that there are unfortunately people who don't even wait for the entire meal and rather leave and then dare to give an opinion remains incomprehensible. "My visit to the Mocca Stube restaurant on Helgoland on New Year's Eve 2023 was disappointing and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. The 6-course menu took 4.5 hours and the portions were too small, so we left the restaurant hungry. The vegetarian option was simply omitting the meat components without offering a reasonable alternative. The main course featured game and the vegetarian main course only served a piece of celery. The price of €100 per person without drinks was not justified, especially since the dessert was around 11:30 p.m. The team did not respond appropriately to our complaint and blocked us. I'm sorry, but this will be the first and last time I visit this restaurant."

Absolutely not recommended here on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, the 6-course New Year's Eve menu did not meet our expectations. At a price of €100 per person for the six courses, without drinks, we unfortunately didn't get full, but we did lose a lot of money. In addition, the meal was spread over 45 minutes each, which in turn meant that we had to spend at least 4.5 hours (7:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) in the restaurant. We didn't allow ourselves to have the sixth course anymore because we didn't see much of an opportunity for ourselves otherwise, other bars etc. to explore. The food was of very good quality, but clearly not enough. Unfortunately, the one star comes from the rude and incomprehensible behavior of the employees towards us and unfortunately the very overpriced price.

Great fish menu, modern dishes but also classics, everyone will find what they are looking for here.

We 2 couples (known as the Hirsch travel group) stayed at the Hotel Mocca Stube, which is in the Oberland, from October 17th to 21st, 2023. We experienced a very friendly and warm staff here. Very nicely newly furnished rooms, even at breakfast nothing was left to be desired. At dinner we immediately took the service staff to our hearts. “Antje” is an enrichment for the Mocca Stube and always has a nice saying ready. We were extremely satisfied and will certainly come back soon.

Hier hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren zum wiederholten male hier, jeder hatte ein anderes Gericht bei Vorspeise und Hauptgang und alles war sehr gut. Der Service verdient einen extra Stern, das Ambiente fand ich super. Für mich schlicht und einfach das kulinarische Highlight meines Urlaubes.

Reservierung hat gut geklappt. Mit 4 Personen an 2 aufeinander folgenden Tagen super gut gegessen, ob Tagliatelle mit Pilzragout, Fisch oder Fleisch.

Speisen sehr lecker und hochwertig, gute Portionen. Preise ok. An den Tischen im hinteren Teil des Restaurants sitzt man auf Barhockern, für kleine Personen mit kurzen Beinen auf Dauer ungemütlich. Man klemmt sich die Beine etwas ab, da die Fußstütze weit unten am Barhocker bzw. Tisch ist. Service norddeutsch charmant und freundlich. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Alles einfach nur klasse, das ist top.

Ein sehr gutes Essen (3 x) in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Auf Helgoland ganz sicher weit oben.

Falls die Preise abschrecken sollten: Hier bekommt man aber auch riesige Portionen! Und die Qualität der Gerichte ist echt super, beim nächsten Urlaub werde ich hier öfters reservieren, das steht fest... (Update: Ein Jahr später konnte ich meine frühere Begeisterung leider nicht mehr teilen: Noch teurer, dafür aber leider auch hier nun weniger auf dem Teller, schade.)

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer. Abstriche muss ich machen das die Jalousie kaputt war und und morgens die Sonne grell reinschien und die Nacht für zu ende war. Das Restaurant war sehr gut. Aber man muss schon rechtzeitig vorbestellen.

Moin, Nette Bedienung Gutes Essen Haben uns wohl gefühlt

Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert. Irgendwie ist der anderweitig vergeben worden. Da es recht warm war, haben wir uns draußen an einen Tisch gesetzt. Die Bedienung könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein, auch wenn wir keine Einheimischen sind. Das Essen war lecker, aber nun nicht außergewöhnlich. Insgesamt in Ordnung!

Wir waren am 30.8.23 in diesem wunderbaren Restaurant. Unglaublich gutes Essen. Das Hotel/Restaurant liegt auf der Insel im Oberland, einfach mit dem Fahrstuhl zu erreichen. Es hört sich spannend an, ist es auch und unglaublich gut. Wolfgang und Petra Haubenreisser
