Whenever I'm in Hildesheim, I always look forward to Mac & Cheese. It's simply fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the quality is top-notch.

Unfortunately, this restaurant was a complete failure. 90 minutes of waiting time for the main course is simply unacceptable, as is an average of 15 minutes for a drink - and that with the dining room only mediocrely full. The staff was visibly overwhelmed, uncoordinated and repeatedly either ignored our requests or implemented them incorrectly. There was a feeling of chaos and lack of planning, which was also reflected in the kitchen. My dish was an absolute disgrace: tomatoes and mushrooms, which were supposed to be included on the menu, were completely missing. Some of the asparagus was so fibrous that you could hardly bite through it - the taste was more reminiscent of dry hay. The side potatoes were completely overcooked and floury. The sad highlight was the pork fillet: incredibly tough, hardly seasoned - it had the consistency of a shoe sole. Even two fellow diners, independent of each other, could only confirm this. The fact that after such a long wait you are served such a careless and poorly prepared meal is really shameful. One had the feeling that even the kitchen had long since given up. I can therefore only agree with many other negative Google reviews: If you eat here, you should have a lot of time, strong nerves and very low expectations.

We stayed for two nights and were completely satisfied. Parking was great, the location was central, and the service was friendly. The rooms were very well-equipped and quiet (ours faced the back, away from the pedestrian zone). The bar also left nothing to be desired. We highly recommend the hotel.

Resümee: wir kommen nicht wieder
