As always, we called here on the way back from vacation and reserved a table because it was always very full. This time a completely different picture awaited us. The dining room was empty, it was cold (heating broken) and the actually great menu was reduced to one page. None of the dishes pictured here were on offer anymore. No fries, no burgers… The service was very nice and the food was freshly prepared. However, it lacked a bit of spice.

The Vita in Bamberg - the place where you forget time... and almost your life too if you keep eating like this! The service was so fast that I almost thought the food came from another dimension - faster than death! The dishes tasted so good that I briefly considered whether I could order a second life so I could enjoy it all over again. The ambience is stylish and inviting, almost like the waiting area in heaven (or the waiting line to hell, depending on how you look at it). The dishes are so sensational that I wondered if I had landed at a banquet for the gods or if the chef had a particularly morbid secret. Conclusion: Anyone who eats in the Vita dies happily - at least with joy. Can't wait to come back. But don't worry, I already have my death certificate ready. 😈🍴
