We went to Al Salam for the first time today. What can we say, it doesn't get much better than this. From the first moment we felt absolutely welcome. The service was great and the food was to die for. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Cologne. Many thanks to the entire Al Salam team for this wonderful evening.

I bought two shawarma sandwiches XL - wow, incredibly disappointing. There was very little meat in them; it was mostly bread with some vegetables and watery yogurt sauce with zero flavor. I didn't finish the sandwich. Terrible value for money and incredibly disappointing.

I made a reservation by phone two weeks in advance for a birthday and when we went there the restaurant was closed due to company holidays.

Even when Phoenix is ​​closed, hardly any men under 50 come here. Average age 68. 3 bartenders but busy with themselves and can't see that guests want to order. Tissues everywhere in the rooms, there is poor cleaning in between.

Cool place. I liked it. The food is okay. The chicken is cooked well, the sausages not so much. The staff is friendly.

Basically very tasty food and friendly staff. However, sometimes orders fail (especially for special requests) due to a lack of language skills and it can get quite loud. But I still like coming here.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER!! Two weeks ago I joined Almahabba Restaurant Abu Sultan Ordered a 2 for 1 chicken shawarma, and unfortunately I have to report a very disappointing experience. Immediately after eating the dish, I had to go to the bathroom immediately, which was already a worrying sign. But the symptoms increased: the following week I had severe stomach problems, body aches, fever and a general feeling of malaise. I was forced to go to the doctor as the symptoms kept getting worse. The diagnosis was shocking: a rare bacterial infection caused by eating the shawarma. This infection was so serious that it had to be reported to the health department. The doctor took a stool sample to determine the exact cause, and the results confirmed that the infection was caused by undercooked meat - particularly chicken. I lay in bed for almost a week, struggled with severe symptoms and had to take gastrointestinal tablets. Despite this treatment, my condition only improved after 3-4 days and I had to go to the doctor again as the symptoms continued. I can only strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant. Apparently the meat, especially chicken, is undercooked, which can lead to serious health problems. For me, this incident was not only unpleasant but also dangerous. I hope this review warns others about the risks of this restaurant.
