You need internet and a phone that can scan QR codes, then it works quite well. The food was delicious, a bit spicy 😅 but that's not their fault.

Ordering via app is absolute rubbish, it's no fun at all reading through the individual dishes and having to carry the food yourself through the entire restaurant is also rather unpleasant. The food itself was only "okay" and I wouldn't come again.

We spontaneously went out to eat today (Sunday) with a group of 50 (!) people and made a reservation just a short time beforehand. Everything worked out perfectly. Here, you really do eat with your eyes! The service staff are very friendly. PS: This picture was taken in front of the restaurant shortly after dinner; you can literally see the joy and satisfaction on our faces, right? ;) We'd be happy to come back!

Delicious food. You order via app, the order is charged to a card, which is then paid for at the cash register. Drinks are brought, and you pick up the food as soon as a small device signals that it's ready. It's loud when the place is busy.

Why do they have such a crappy app? Please do everyone a favor and spend some money on a good ordering app—this is a complete disaster. We had to look through the regular website to even see the pictures and information (but even that was garbage—what's in the homemade iced tea??) and then ordered through the app. Totally uncool! The food was okay, but nothing more. This was definitely our first and last visit.

Yesterday, four of us were in boname Deutz and wanted to meet up again after a long time. Google suggested boname to us and since we were also at gamescom, it was right on our way. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. The service was TOTALLY overwhelmed and we had to wait a whopping 40 minutes for someone who could help us. When we finally went to reception, they were more concerned with their phones than with us. After we finally got our food, we first had to look for clean tables. The food wasn't tasty and really oily and unfortunately that was a flop. The ordering system is even worse than McDonald's. Unfortunately, we didn't get the impression that the hygiene was up to a good standard. Not recommended.

Simply amazing! 😍 We went to Bona'me in Deutz to celebrate my cousin's birthday, and it was not only delicious but also really fun. The self-ordering concept is so much fun, like a little adventure through the menu 🤭. The food was fresh, colorful, and so good you just want to try everything. The atmosphere is relaxed, modern, and cozy at the same time. The perfect place to laugh with friends, eat, and just have a good time. We'll definitely be back, even hungrier and with even more room in our stomachs! 😅🍽️”

Wow, dinner was great. Loved the mezze. Nice location near the water. Quite some wasps they could have tried to trick with something. Order system is weird, took us a long time to succeed in it, they made it very complicated for no reason.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, you're not served and have to order using a QR code on your phone. A pager then calls you to the food counter. Not such a bad idea, actually. I just find it a shame that orders have to be picked up every five minutes. First came the main course. Then the drinks, then the appetizers. So I got up five times: get the pager to order, get the main course, get the drinks, get the appetizer. And finally, pay. Not for me. The beautiful view makes up for it somewhat.

Very pretty place and great food

Nice restaurant on the banks of the Rhine. You order all your food and drinks with your phone. We had to figure out how that worked. Overall, it's okay, though, and you can see the pictures of the dishes. A bit more information about the ingredients would have been good. When the buzzer goes off, you go to the kitchen and pick up your food yourself. It's okay if you like that. We've been there twice, but they use too much oil for my taste. Maybe that's just the way the kitchen is. Since we were a larger group of about 12 people, we weren't sure how to split the bill properly. Apparently, each group needs its own menu? So we just split it in thirds.

The waiter, the young guy I think (LGBTQ), is amazing. I've rarely seen him work as cleanly and as quickly as he does. And his sense of humor – wonderful!

Very tasty food and a great atmosphere in a great location. However, the ordering system is a bit chaotic. I'm a bit old-fashioned in that respect and prefer to order face-to-face with a person rather than online.

The location is really nice. We didn't have a good experience. If an ordering system leads to inflexibility, this leads to dissatisfaction. I wanted to order onions and peppers as an extra for my dish, for an extra charge of course. It can't be that difficult. The reaction to this was totally unprofessional. The so-called boss reacted arrogantly when asked and said something about it not being possible because of the tax office... He couldn't enter it into the system because the system doesn't allow it... Really?! I'm in favor of the boss becoming an automaton who should be able to do one thing... be solution-oriented. And to be honest, as a customer, I simply couldn't care less about your problems with the tax office or ordering systems.

The food is good and relatively inexpensive. However, you order on screens similar to McDonald's and get a beeper. Then you have to pick up your drink, salad, and main course one by one. If you want another drink, you start over. The cost is charged to a card, which you then have to pay before leaving. Unfortunately, it's not my thing at all. It was also quite crowded and loud, and the atmosphere wasn't anything special. Plus, the food was ready quickly.

Fine herbs & exquisite spices... what the website and Turkish oriental cuisine promise is unfortunately not fulfilled here. Barely seasoned, appetizer dips are served with very little bread, and the shrimp were completely overcooked... At the next table, a lot of food was returned because it didn't taste good. Here, the response was reasonable and friendly, and drinks were even offered on the house. Orders are placed via smartphone. Drinks are brought. You pick up your own food. Not my thing, but that's not the deciding factor for the rating.

We visited the restaurant at lunchtime, on weekends, there were many visitors, the establishment is in demand and there is a good reason for this: "Everything we ordered was very tasty. The first courses were served hot, "piping hot", looked appetizing, the products were of high quality and the presentation was pleasing to the eye." Our order was quickly completed, this is a huge plus for the kitchen staff, with such a number of visitors, and they cook excellently, professionals, respect to the chef! We liked the design of the hall, many interesting details, high ceilings and this gives lightness, charm and airiness to the hall. There is a small remark: "Few waiters, spent a lot of time on the order itself, with a waiter it would have been much faster and easier." They brought wine, put it on ice, but did not open the bottle, and we could not order additional drinks, there was no waiter in the hall, and our time was limited. But these are trifles and they can be solved if you want to increase the profit of the establishment. In the summer you can sit on the terrace, there are many tables and people enjoy this opportunity. They come with children, whole families, have a nice time talking and eating. The restaurant is excellent, I recommend visiting!

My pide was surprisingly delicious. I thought the restaurant was an expensive, amateur restaurant, but I was convinced otherwise. The prices are reasonable and the location is very nice. Only the noise level and the ordering process could be improved.

Despite the long wait, we had a very pleasant stay. It was very busy, so the service was a bit lacking. We ended up picking up our own drinks and asking the kitchen when the food would be arriving. Everyone in the kitchen was very friendly, and we received extra bread. We were able to pick up our food fairly quickly. Dessert, on the other hand, was picked up relatively quickly. I don't generally have anything against self-service, but somehow someone is constantly out picking up the food...

Compared to Frankfurt's location, I did find food as delishes as it is there, yet it was a little bit expensive. We paid 36 Euro for 2 without alcohol. Also, no Turkish music is different from the Frankfurt location. No accessible toilet is clean enough and well designed. There is still one but needs attention as it is used for some other things like storing cleaning items etc sink was too high and door was old.

We booked breakfast for a large group. We sat for an hour and a half without food or drink. The staff was too few and, above all, overwhelmed. While some finally finished their second cappuccino, others hadn't even gotten a glass of water. For €25, the portion was pretty meager.

We were there yesterday, and I have to say I'm really disappointed with the food. I haven't had such diarrhea in a long time! I even sent the food back, and yet it still didn't do me any good today... I appeal to management to change this before the health department gets wind of it 😒

We relied on the reviews and were unfortunately somewhat disappointed. We can't rate the service because it's self-service, which isn't reflected in the price. The dip was tasty, but the bread seemed to be from the day before yesterday. It was super dry, crunchy, and barely chewable. It certainly doesn't look fresh. The lentil salad contained 20g of cooked lentils, and the rest of the food was more expensive than fresh and filling. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

The food here was so delicious. I also really liked the atmosphere. On a Saturday evening there were seats available. They also have a terrace available. The concept is such that you order via a QR-code and add it to some kind of pager and then when the food is done you can pick it up yourself. It's all explained at the beginning. The prices were good for the amount and quality. I'll definitely will be back again.

Good fast food, but not a real restaurant

There were eight of us there and unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied. Some of the food was burnt, and the bulgur was spoiled. After consulting the staff, the food was taken away, but no response was forthcoming. Furthermore, there were disagreements regarding payment at the cash register. I had to argue to avoid being charged for the spoiled bulgur. The hype isn't worth it! Better go somewhere else in Cologne than there - 10/10

Vapiano in Turkish: First of all, this is a subjective review. I like to eat out often and enjoy good food. This concept just isn't for me. The sterile ordering process, the uncomfortable atmosphere at the table, which resembles a ping-pong game, and the mediocre quality of the food aren't for me. The ambiance doesn't make it good either. Turkish food is wonderful, but I'd rather go to Keupstraße or Weidengasse.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. It's served lukewarm, and you have to get everything yourself, which is exorbitantly expensive. With only three service and order boards, you don't have time to choose your food in peace, especially when there's a line behind you (and you're standing there, too). I can't recommend this restaurant.

Looks nice but doesn't taste good

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service and drinks. It feels very isolated to me. Nobody cares about quality. Our coffee was cold and half-spilled. The owner needs to act quickly, or things won't look good for him. We won't be coming here again.

So the food is okay, not exceptionally good, but not bad either. It's just specially prepared, nothing more. You have to pick up the food and order it yourself via the app. Too expensive for the quality and service.

Review – Boname Cologne (lunch, self-collection) The food at Boname is really good in terms of taste – fresh, well seasoned and beautifully presented. For the price you get a solid meal with a touch of oriental flair. What was a bit disappointing, however, was the service: Even though you're sitting in the restaurant, you have to pick up the food yourself at the counter. That wouldn't be a problem in itself, but if you occasionally... For example, if you want to order a cola, it would be nice if someone from the staff asked from time to time or brought you drinks. Conclusion: Food good, concept more like a better canteen. If you can handle self-service, you won't be disappointed - but it's less suitable for a relaxed lunch with service.

Bona'me Köln-Deutz was a restaurant that I really liked, both with its modern environment and the taste of Turkish and Kurdish dishes it offers. They were very attentive about cleaning and the employees were always friendly and attentive. I especially liked the freshness and presentation of the food. It's a place I want to go back to again and again to have a pleasant time with my family and friends.

A real culinary highlight, creative combinations and a perfect balance between oriental spice and European touch. You can simply taste that people cook with passion here! Conclusion: If you love good food and are traveling in Cologne, you should definitely visit bone’me.

Four of us had dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there is more shadow than light on this visit. Although the concept is based on ordering online and picking up the drinks and dishes yourself, everything took absolutely too long that evening. More than 30 minutes of waiting time just for the first drinks. That's an absolute no-go. The restaurant was very full and unfortunately very loud, so that you could hardly have a conversation at a normal volume. The food is very innovative, but does not correspond to the reality of Turkish Kurdish cuisine and, as some others have already mentioned, is unfortunately very similar. Accordingly, white ratio is only okay. The staff always tried hard, but were absolutely overwhelmed that evening. Clearing dishes and cleaning tables was hardly possible. Unfortunately, the negative impression predominates during this visit.

Everything is relatively average. But I find it particularly disappointing that there is no service. You go to the counter like in a canteen and order. Afterwards you have to go and collect the food and drinks yourself.

We've been to the Bona'me in Deutz for a long time and I have to express my disappointment. For those not familiar with it, the dishes may be modern and top-notch, but for connoisseurs of Turkish cuisine, no matter how much the dishes have been changed, they are catastrophic here. We ordered beyti, which we have already eaten here a few times, the dough was ready-made and not cooked, the meat patties were ready-made from the freezer and bland. All in all, the appearance was okay, but the taste was disastrous. That's why we stopped eating. All in all, for laypeople who like to eat fancy food that doesn't taste like anything, it's great. But for those in the know it's not the best... Very disappointing when you could have made so much out of it.

Food good. BUT get your process under control! We stood in line for 45 minutes. Many tables inside were empty. First of all, everyone was cashed in. With just one cash register. And then new cards were distributed.

It was very crowded when we visited. First we received cards that had not been scanned and therefore did not work at the terminal. Our drinks weren't ready until the end of our visit. We waited about 30 minutes for the main courses, and the starter didn't reach us until the end of our visit. When I picked up the Manti, they were given to another customer, and despite the pager responding, my order was no longer known. The customer who received the manti in error then brought it back. I then had to take it, which was already cold and had already been on the table of strangers. There was no cutlery for eating; we had to eat the dish with a knife and teaspoon. In the end we were able to cancel both the drinks and the appetizer that we didn't receive, but that wasn't what we hoped for. If you want to maintain such a large restaurant, you have to be able to run it.

Absolutely underground experience. Table reserved for 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., despite three requests, no drinks were served (it was so busy, "everyone wants drinks"). Then the first of 4 dishes were announced via a beeper. Food picked up, but unfortunately no cutlery available. "Would I be able to eat it like that?" A salad? 😂 Then after 5 minutes and a screaming fit we got plastic cutlery. Camping cutlery, disposable cutlery (!) unbelievable! Second main course ready at the same time, still no more cutlery, still no drinks. We then got up and left. In the Deutzer Freiheit there is a great pizzeria, Neapolitan pizza, highly recommended. Bona me, never never never again!!!

bona'me in Cologne-Deutz offers a great selection of fresh, healthy dishes. The bowls and smoothies in particular are delicious and perfect for a light meal. The modern, friendly atmosphere and fast service make it an ideal spot for a break.

Not child friendly at all, all tables and chairs are high. The food has little to do with Turkish/Kurdish cuisine. Price performance is still okay, it also tasted good. Ordering system is better than before but if my main course comes before my starter it's just stupid, that's not great. And about the ambience outside, huuii inside, but unfortunately in most southern shops the toilets are not taken into account

The food was good but nothing exceptional. The service in clearing and cleaning the tables did not work well - our table was still dirty, with cutlery and glasses from the previous guests, and it took a long time to clean it. The ordering concept was new to us, but we liked it – quick and easy! However, as tourists, we had poor internet reception and since no service staff paid any attention to us, it was tedious to ask for the WiFi password. A simple solution would be to write it down on the map or table. The ambience is beautifully decorated, but unfortunately also quite loud.
