bona'me Factory GQ in Köln

A very tastefully decorated, large restaurant/café with an oriental flair. This includes classic and vegan-friendly Turkish dishes, and service is provided in earthenware and copper dishes. It's best to first make your presence known in the restaurant to receive a table card with a QE code so you can scan it and order. Otherwise, you'll end up waiting too long at your table. I wish the waiters were more attentive. For example, I received my food, but no cutlery, and no ashtrays were brought to the tables. Overall, though, the visit is definitely worth it!

Super delicious food, great service, and an unbeatable atmosphere in the beautiful Gerlings Quartier. When the weather's nice, it feels a bit like a vacation :) I always enjoy coming back!

Unfortunately, the ordering process is a bit complicated, but that's a minor issue. You have to take a card from the restaurant reception and scan the code to bring up the menu and place your order. The service was unfriendly and inattentive. There wasn't enough cutlery, and there was a long wait for more. But since it was lunchtime, I'm willing to overlook this. I ordered a chicken curry with water. The curry was tasteless, the sauce watery. There wasn't much chicken. Simply not tasty. The highlight, however, was the diarrhea it gave me. Maybe just a bad first impression, but it was enough to make me not want to come back.

Visiting here again after a long time. Food is very good and is freshly prepared after ordering at the terminal, like at McDonald's or Burger King. That's the only negative thing, which is of course a personal feeling!

Saturday afternoon, the terrace was completely empty. I looked for a seat and waited for service. Waiters, cooks, etc. sat at a next table, walked in and out and past me and completely ignored me. After more than 10 minutes I left. That was the first and last time I was there.

Great expansion to the existing “normal” Boname restaurants. The Factory offers other unusual dishes and delicious cocktails. The restaurant is really nicely decorated. Since you order via app and everything is served at the table, no one has to queue anywhere or anything, that's a really nice concept. Gladly again 🙃

Wonderful breakfast with first class service and delicious food I went there with my family for breakfast near the fountain. The sun was very strong that day, but the attentive restaurant manager reacted immediately and kindly opened the parasol for us - really attentive! The service was also very warm and accommodating. The food was really tasty and lovingly prepared. We felt completely comfortable. This restaurant is definitely one of my favorite places - we would love to come back!

I love this place! I've been here three times with my family and have really enjoyed it every time. From the reception to the order to the taste, everything was great every time. You order using a QR code and everything is brought to the table (this is different at some other bona’me locations). Both dinner and breakfast were to our liking. The coffee after every meal was also wonderful.

Food tasteless, meat dry, falafel swimming in hollandaise from the Tetra Pak. The chicken beyti was very fatty and didn't taste like anything. The black Angus kofta were dry and cold. The ambience is nice. Waiters are very nice.

Very tasty food! Among the staff, there were some that were super nice and those for whom friendly communication was not necessarily a core competency. Taking a little crash course on body language beforehand makes perfect sense. Then you also realize that the head pulled down with the corner of the mouth pointing in the middle of one direction means: there is the toilet. And the same swivel of the head in the other direction with the corner of the mouth down means: you can sit down there. Everything was very nice and the food was really delicious.

Here you can get good Turkish cuisine with esprit. Great atmosphere and easy to order with your smartphone. It can be easier this way. Unfortunately, the toilets are not that clean. A small drawback for an otherwise great restaurant.

Really very good, exotic food that is relatively cheap. You can't make a reservation for two people, but there is usually enough space. Last time I didn't realize how far back the restaurant was; There are tables that would be enough for two restaurants. You order online, so you don't have to wait forever for the waiter to not show up ;-). We had a great one Evening - unreserved recommendation!

Cool concept and ambience - but the food could be of higher quality

For my taste one of the best restaurants in Cologne. Visually and taste-wise. I have rarely been served such fresh food so quickly in my life. And the ordering process is perfect.

Food was okay. Deserts were amazing. But the service was terrible. Any mistakes they make is your fault and you get side eyed for no reason. The waitress we had was nonchalant and borderline rude. Also the app doesn’t work well to order which is not good when your waitress is ignoring you when she passes by. We only got what we wanted thanks to the young man doing the dishes nearby us. Not worth the hype nor the wait.

This restaurant is an absolute disappointment. Despite many positive reviews online, the visit was a disaster. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed, the prices were completely exorbitant, and the food was simply raw - an imposition. The only positive thing was the ambience, but that's not enough to compensate for the miserable overall impression. I can't explain the good reviews and will definitely never go there again. Anyone who asks me will receive a clear warning: Don't do it!

It's a good location to grab something to eat after shopping. Everything is deliciously fresh. It takes a while to get a place but otherwise everything is good. It is particularly beautiful in the front area, but a bit dark and smoky in the back.

The Bona'me is very centrally located. It is surprisingly large and has a very nice ambience. Orders are placed electronically using a QR code. The food was served very quickly and we enjoyed it very much. The baklava ice cream was particularly a highlight. The staff was friendly.

I recently visited the Factory for the first time and loved it from start to finish! The food was incredibly tasty and the service was great too! I was also impressed by the entire atmosphere! I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

We (2 people) wanted to eat there for the first time a few days ago during lunchtime, but we only got to the cat table right next to the entrance because all the other tables were supposedly reserved... OK, so we sat there in the cold with another restaurant-goer. The 3 of us didn't know how to order - it wasn't explained to us; There was also no QR code at the “cat table”. So I went to the toilet first because I wanted to wash my hands. I was also curious about the inside of the restaurant. The toilets were sobering... dirty. The restaurant is at most 40% full. Hmmm… fully reserved? I only saw empty seats, especially in the back…. but I really liked the interior. Back at the entrance, after my husband quickly disappeared into the toilet, I met the one employee (she also placed all 3 of us there at the front and said that there would be no more tables... because everything was completely reserved... ) asked if that was really the case, because I only saw free tables in the back area... “Yes... everything is reserved. But we also have high tables. We could sit down there” and showed me where. I “Yes, gladly! Definitely better than up here in the cold!”. She showed me a high table right by the window like from a coffee shop... "No, that wouldn't be for me to be honest" and then showed me 3 high tables next to the bar. I stayed there and waited for my husband. Then I watched 2 young men come in and because there wasn't too much going on, I could hear them asking "We haven't made a reservation, do you still have a table for us...?" And the young employee showed the two of them a table for 4. Um…. huh? So I went to her and asked her about it. Then she tells me “Yes, there will be three of them and there are only two of them”. Huh? Then my husband came and I just told him, “You don’t feel like trying out the store anymore. Two men just came, no reservations, supposedly a third was coming and they are now sitting back there... and I was only able to get this rickety high table for us. Let’s go..” We left. Maybe it would have been nice... unusual. In all that time, no one came except the two men and 3 other people who had reserved... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Generous and beautifully made, perhaps a bit sterile. Super nice service and very tasty food. Cappuccino works like that, but that's not the core competence; Here it is better to take mocha or Çay.

The food was tasty, but unfortunately the portions were too small. I would definitely have expected more for the price, as the price-performance ratio wasn't convincing - it seemed rather overpriced. The service was also disappointing. Most of the employees seemed disinterested, as if they weren't really involved. A positive exception was the lady at reception on Friday, who was friendly and very personable The furnishings and ambience are very attractive and stylish. Nevertheless, I would not visit the restaurant again because the negative points outweigh the negative points. Another point of criticism was the allocation of seats. Although many tables were obviously free, the system was unnecessarily complicated and caused confusion as you were seated at tables that weren't ideal.

For us the best restaurant in all of Cologne, sorry I initially wrote Düsseldorf.

Today we went to bona'me as a family. It is a very large and spacious place. The decor, with its oriental influences, is well thought out and looks really beautiful. I definitely recommend you make a reservation on weekends, it gets busy all of a sudden. You are given a card at the entrance and taken to your table. By scanning the QR code on the card, you can access the menu and order whatever you want. The era of ordering from the waiter via the menu is closed here. The system works very well since there is wifi. Anyone who scans the card can order from their phone. If you want to eat at the same time, my advice is to order at the same time, otherwise the system does not wait for orders, whoever orders what comes. We paid about 120€ for 4 people, the taste was good, it was a very clean place with an open kitchen. Payment by card is possible. I tried to add the menu and pictures.

I went to Bona Me Factory and I loved it! The ambience is modern and inviting, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the Mücver waffle – a great combination of taste and creativity! Perfectly prepared and truly special. The highlight, however, was the dessert: simply heavenly! You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here, both in the preparation of the food and in the service. I will definitely come back and recommend Bona Me Factory to anyone who appreciates good food and delicious desserts.

Has slowed down a lot. We were seated right next to the door, which kept opening and so the cold always came in. We were then asked to sit even closer and thus sit even closer to the door. We then rejected this because apparently nothing else was available for two people. Apparently some things (unreserved) were free! We left again with an empty stomach and won't be coming back.

I really don't understand how this store got so many good reviews. We've been there and I can say with certainty that it's not value for money at all. The food was extremely fatty and carelessly prepared. The staff - if you can even call them that - are completely inattentive. They don't even look at you and completely ignore you. The ordering system, where you have to do everything digitally, is a disaster: it constantly hangs, and even if you press the service button, someone comes by after 20 minutes - if at all. I can only advise against this store! The music is unbearable: constantly loud techno that gives you a headache. Way too loud and annoying. The only positive thing is the facility, but that's about it. This place had better stop serving food.

Rude host didn’t give us a decent table and the tables he showed were either too high or broken and tilted or shaking …. For such a high nose I expect at least the tables to be standing straight without shaking so we didn‘t wanna spend our hard earned money.

Great restaurant with nice decor. The food is mostly good and service is quick. Ordering is done via mobile phone and is relatively uncomplicated. I recommend the beyti, babuko with mushrooms, the appetizer platter, the salads and the waffles.

For me, the bona'me Factory GQ is definitely the better option to the classic Bona'me. Despite a group of 16 people, the service was very competent and courteous. The food was consistently tasty and the portions are reasonable. The in-house smoothies, which taste fresh and incredibly delicious, are highly recommended. Depending on where you sit, it can be a bit loud, but not annoying.
