Fantastic tasting Shawerma sandwich

I found the restaurant by chance. Food was decent, restaurant area tables etc were clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was prepared quickly. I ordered an Ayran and a Shawarma plate and paid €13.00. Ayran costs 1.5€ and shawarma plate costs 10€.

Very tasty food for a fair price! It's always busy and the service is quick. There is a huge selection of variations from shawarma to falafel, hamloumi and fries.

Relaxed atmosphere and fast service. Unfortunately I'm totally disappointed with the shawarma meat and hummus. I expected more for an Arab.

A small snack bar with really inexpensive, delicious food. Friendly and funny employees. Unfortunately no card payment is possible and it is a typical slightly empty establishment. There are tables outside and inside, but the menu above the counter is a bit confusing and it takes a long time to decide. You really can't complain about a shawarma for €3.50

Brilliant find after stumbling into shop. Full of locals and food great. Very cheap also. We had chicken wrap plus a halloumi one both awesome and tasty.

I am a regular customer and think it is one of the best falafel in Cologne. However, the falafel stands or falls with whoever makes it there! If you're unlucky, the sauce in particular will be poorly distributed and half of the falafel sandwich will be dry. Especially now that the competition on Severinstr. As the restaurant gets bigger and bigger, the younger employees could put more love into putting together the sandwiches.

Delicious shawarma and vegetarian dishes.

My favorite snack bar in the southern part of town for years. It always tastes delicious and is inexpensive. The team is friendly and always fulfills our special requests.

Everywhere is dirty. There is nowhere to sit because everywhere is dirty and everything is dirty. Unsanitary conditions, tongs are not washed after different types of vegetables, but are immediately taken to another type🫡

I can only rate what we had and unfortunately it didn't taste like anything. Fries and halloumi in bread with yogurt sauce. It's a total shame but there really wasn't a gram of salt or taste in the sauce and therefore in the whole dish :( otherwise it was very well attended (Saturday evening). The rest of the reviews speak for themselves, we chose the wrong dish.

The value for money and the speed with which you received your food were incredibly good! And I have rarely eaten such authentic and delicious tabbouleh and hummus in Cologne.

Hayati is one of the important places in Cologne. It is open for a long time, the food is extremely affordable, yet super healthy, not to mention delicious. Also you have fantastic vegan choices. This is a restaurant that pretty much sums up the best in oriental culture. Love it.

The falafel there is super tasty and quite cheap if you compare it to other shops. I would like a large falafel that has even more content in it - of course for an additional charge. There is a star deduction for service. Some of the employees always seem to be in a bad mood, which makes you feel unwelcome. The older gentleman behind the cash register is great though.

Very tasty dishes. The price-performance ratio is right. The employees are very friendly. There is a deduction for the ambience. It consists of small tables and folding chairs. If you come in larger groups it becomes difficult.

My absolute favorite Lebanese in the entire Cologne area. 1. super fast staff. Even when it's busy, you don't notice anything because employees simply work well and are always correct and polite. 2. FOOD: I always order the shawarma plate and I have to say: a forkful of HUMMUS, TABOULEH salad and SHOWARMA meat is an absolute DREAM 3. Located at the KARTÄUSERHOF stop directly at the entrance to the subway station. Small drawback: the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and the tables are sometimes too small. 4. People: go there. It is worth it !!!!!

What is offered here at a comparatively moderate price is well above average. Everything is fresh, everything is clean, plus the central location in the middle of Severinstrasse...

3 stars because... Ordered the shawarma plate to go for the first time, it tastes better than snacks and I would recommend it. BUT - Quantity per price: not generous at all! You get more from street food. - Half a loaf per serving? Really?! I just think Bellig! for what type of restaurant. Have to be honest, you pay €7.90 per plate! I ate the rest like a Bedouin! * A box of x6 pieces of bread costs less than €1 (0.35 cents) I hope you can consider it for better quality & experience.

A slightly different feedback. We were asked by a homeless man for money for food. We didn't have any cash and offered to buy him some food. We went to Hayati and chose the dish we wanted. When I wanted to pay we were told that card payment was not possible. However, as described, I didn't have any cash with me. The employee immediately asked if it was for a good cause and gave us the dish. Thank you for your social commitment.

Super cute place, amazing food and for an unbeatable price

At Hayati there is a huge selection of plates with a wide variety of compositions. Whether with or without meat, halloumi or falafel: you are free to decide. And if you ask nicely, the boss will put together your own plate according to your preferences. The plates are priced between €8-13 - I recommend (if you eat meat) the Sahara plate for €10 :-) There could be a little more bread on the side - otherwise the food is good! The shop, decorated in Arabic style, is clean and well-maintained. However, the tables are very low and it's not particularly comfortable to sit here.

It is an excellent place in terms of value for money. We had shawarma, the taste was good but the content was low. I recommend it if you want to have a hearty meal at an affordable price.

For the price it was very nice. I ate shawarma, the amount of chicken was a little less, but with vegetables it tasted delicious.

By far the worst falafel or halloumi snack I know of. I even gave him several chances and was disappointed every time. The Dürüm consists of half lettuce, half carrot and then there is a cucumber and a tomato. Yogurt sauce on top, quickly rolled up and handed over unfriendly. That's it. I've never been treated really friendly, the atmosphere is so-so. If you look at how bad the Dürüm is, price-performance isn't okay either.

My favourite place for food in Köln. The falafel is the best, the staff are friendly and the price is low.

Leckerste Schawarma in der Südstadt und die Falafel sind mindestens genau so gut! Von den Sandwiches wird man gut satt, für den großen Hunger gibt es aber auch eine fantasische Auswahl an Tellergerichten.

Falafel im Brot: die Falafeln selbst waren gut, allerdings gab es keinerlei Zwiebeln, was die wichtigste Zutat nach den Falafeln im Brot ist. Ich habe es auch noch nie erlebt, dass es keine Zwiebeln gab. Ein vorheriger Hinweis vor dem Kauf wäre mindestens notwendig gewesen, da es eigentlich normal ist Zwiebeln mit in der Tasche zu haben. Das Brot war persönlich nicht mein Ding, da es sehr zäh war, allerdings ist dies reine Geschmackssache und fließt daher nicht in meine Bewertung mit ein.

We had read the ratings, and the food did not disappoint. It's more of a take-away place than a sit down meal, but we did eat in - and it was a very quick meal but one which we absolutely loved. Delicious food, quick preparation, very reasonably-priced and washed down with an amazing fresh orange and carrot juice. We would go back, in fact if I lived there, it would be a favourite for healthy, fresh takeouts. The ambience is very functional so don't expect a fine dining experience if you do go to sit in. But you won't be disappointed with your meal.

Am liebsten würde ich 0 Sterne geben. Der Schawarma war so schlecht KAUM Fleisch ich habe gefühlt eine Salat Tasche gegessen. Nie wieder gehe ich dort hin. Nicht empfehlenswerte.

Für wenig Geld kommt jeder Schawarma-Fan auf seine Kosten. Zur Mittagszeit wird der Laden gerne mal überrannt, so dass man wochentags gegen 12 Uhr Wartezeit mitbringen sollte. Das Personal arbeitet distanziert und sehr effizient, die Einrichtung ist dem Konzept treu und ist ebenfalls günstig und funktional.

Mal putzen wäre nicht schlecht. Möchte nicht wissen wie es in der Küche aussieht

Das Essen ist in weniger als 3min fertig bei vollem Haus und schmeckt dazu noch hervorragend. Auch die Preise sind für mich echt günstig. Einmal Schawarma mit Pommes im Brot für 4,50€ ist vollkommen fair.

Die Partyplatten sind unschlagbar lecker und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen!

Ich hatte die Shawarma Rolle. Ich hatte anschließend Bauchweh bzw Montezuma s Rache. Tut mir leid sowas zu schreiben, aber vl kann man auf Seiten des Imbiss etwas verbessern. Bin echt was geschockt und krank!

Hallo Leser, ich war heute bei diesem Laden essen. Was mir als erstes aufgefallen ist war das sture Gesicht und benehmen von den Tunesiern und dass der sogenannte „schawama“, in der Mikrowelle warmgemacht wurde. In meiner Shawamarolle befand sich ein Haar, und später bekam ich üble Bauchschmerzen… 2 Sterne, weil das Essen schnell kam, trotzdem lasst euch selber davon überzeugen.

Ich war im Hayati Imbiss in Köln und ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Besuch. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren groß genug für mich. Das Team war sehr freundlich und das Essen wurde schnell serviert. Die Preise waren fair, aber ich war enttäuscht zu erfahren, dass sie keine Kartenzahlung akzeptieren. Ich denke, dass sollte 2023 selbstverständlich sein.

Hab ein Teller schawarma und falafel mit pommes. Die Portion war ja richtig klein da waren 10 st. Pommes auf dem teller und fleisch auch sehr wenig hab schon öfters da was geholt aber heute war ja ganz schlecht und noch dazu war der Mitarbeiter der mir das gemacht habt auch noch unfreundliche gewesen. Schade ich bin gern hin gegangen aber nie wieder.

Der Laden sieht nett aus und der Fleischspieß appetittlich. Auf die Bitte nach einer großen Schawarma kam die Antwort es gäbe nur eine Größe, die aber größer, als die kleine bei anderen Läden wäre und groß genug sei. Die Miniportion Fleisch wurde im Brot in einer Mikrowelle! aufgewärmt, obwohl der Spieß vermittelte, dass es frisches Fleisch gäbe. Dementsprechend war das Brot labrig und aussen wie Gummi. Das Fleisch war leider sehr versalzen und trocken. Vielleicht war es dann ja gut, dass die Portion so klein war, sonst hätte ich noch mehr wegwerfen müssen. Dem Service kann ich leider auch nicht mehr Sterne geben, da die Mitarbeiter ziemlich selbstgefällig rüberkamen. Wechselgeld hatten sie auch nicht. Kann ich leider nicht empfehlen!

Leckeres und günstiges Essen, freundliche Mitarbeiter trotz großem Andrang. Einziger Minuspunkt: es könnte etwas hygienischer in den Toiletten sein.

Früher die Anlaufadresse Nummer 1 in der Südstadt, aber aktuell rechtfertigen die neuen erhöhten Preise nicht das, was man bekommt. Da gibt es bessere Alternativen.
