The food is delicious and the place is spacious. However, the cash-only payment policy is strange. Not everyone carries cash, and as a foreigner coming from outside Germany, you certainly won't have euros on you.

BAD ⛔️ The two of us went to the restaurant and tried the Arabic buffet. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. As soon as you walk in, you notice it's overcrowded and extremely loud. The tables are long, like those at a wedding, so you're just sitting somewhere with strangers. Smaller tables that would provide some privacy would be much more pleasant. Before I wanted to eat, I wanted to wash my hands – but the restrooms were dirty, unkempt, and smelled bad. The buffet itself offered a wide selection, but the flavor was poor. The meat and hot dishes were hardly convincing; instead, there were mainly rice and salad options that had little to do with authentic Arabic cuisine. Some of the plates at the buffet were still wet or not really clean, and there were no spit guards. The desserts were particularly unhygienic, as guests walked right past them and everything was left out in the open. The organization in the dining room was also chaotic: The tables were poorly cleaned, food was lying on the floor, and overall, everything seemed very unhygienic. Unfortunately, I even had stomach problems after the visit. To me, it seems more like a mass-processing operation than a good Arabic buffet. There are definitely better alternatives in Cologne. I can't recommend a visit here.

I recently ate at this restaurant. I'm from Nuremberg and ordered a dish with grilled chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was spoiled—it had mold and a distinctly rotten smell. I showed the plate to the owner, expecting him to remove the chicken from the buffet. But he did nothing and still charged me the full price, even though I didn't eat the dish. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared for this at the time; otherwise, I would have immediately informed the health department.

I ate there for the second time. And for the second time, I was extremely disappointed. The first time was two years ago, and I had severe stomach pains afterward. Today I went back for a second chance, and it was even worse than the first. Some dishes don't taste good at all, some were okay, but hygiene is unfortunately nonexistent. It's very bad, I don't recommend going there at all to transfer its value. The whole place has air conditioning, but no one is working. They only open the windows and the people are like Judgment Day. There is no oxygen in the place. The plates are wiped clean and not clean. The food is bad. The kebab is ground chicken and they make kebabs based on meat and they make fun of people. The grilled food is chicken back, all bones. The food tastes bad. Let's talk about the full menu. There is a section with different types of rice: yellow, mandi, white, molokhia, freekeh, okra, and beans. The meat is boiled meat, fried wings, chicken back, and grilled meat, which is ground chicken. There is also a section for salads and mayonnaise. I mean, isn't this food shameful? Is this a buffet???

The restrooms were very dirty. The meat wasn't properly cleaned or trimmed of excess fat before cooking. The fruit wasn't washed thoroughly either. Furthermore, the tea we ordered wasn't served – apparently with the intention of getting guests to leave the restaurant more quickly. This is disappointing.

Good evening The food and the selection were very extensive. The only problem was the waiter. We were there with a stroller, and he didn't want to let us in, claiming there was no room for strollers. Even though the restaurant was half full, the food tasted good. The seating system just needs to be changed, because every time your neighbor gets up, you have to pull your chair forward. The seating is too narrow. But the waiter was the rudest person, except for his friends and acquaintances.

Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. The atmosphere seemed disorganized and unhygienic. Many children were playing unsupervised at the buffet, which was detrimental to cleanliness or to other guests. Numerous visitors overfilled their plates and left large amounts untouched. Clear rules to prevent food waste would be helpful here – perhaps even including a small fee for excessive food waste. The shawarma was unfortunately very dry, and overall, the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. It's a shame, because the concept has potential – but as it is, it's not worth recommending at this point.

Two days ago we were in the restaurant the buffet is poor not like in the pictures or video, the desserts are one type which is Turkish baklava and I do not recommend eating it twice and there are 4 types of baked pastries the fruits are not fresh especially the gypsum the only thing that I give two stars for is the staff in the restaurant and the good reception but this is not enough if the restaurant owner wants to continue and the good reputation of the restaurant and the food and service.

I have rarely experienced a restaurant that fails in so many areas – especially at a buffet, where hygiene and quality should be paramount. No sneeze guards, instead, dusty lamps hang directly above the food – one can only hope that dust doesn't constantly fall into the food. That alone is unacceptable, but it continues: Tables are sprayed and "cleaned" with Febreze (!) after each guest change – an air freshener that has absolutely no place in the surface cleaning process. The restaurant gets really dirty. The cutlery resembles cafeteria ware and is apparently washed in a plastic tub, then dried with a questionably clean towel. The buffet itself was also disappointing: greasy, tasteless, and sometimes cold. What's being sold here as "Arabic food" is a complete disrespect for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. It's fast, cheap, and unloving – the main thing is quantity. I was speechless. Anyone expecting authentic, clean, or even enjoyable food here will be bitterly disappointed.

We happened to be walking by. The food is truly delicious. Homemade, fresh food, very good dishes, the best all-you-can-eat for a very reasonable price. The restaurant may be simply decorated and a bit chaotic, but at that price, you can't complain. Cash only.

Never again. Ordering something for the second time, I waited over an hour, and ended up with the wrong order. Without even notifying me or asking, they sent me a dish of their choosing. Simply not recommended.

This is my first time going there and I will definitely be going back again because of the kind and upscale treatment, excellent service, and the food was all fresh and had an amazing flavor. We had an amazing dinner here. It is an “all you can eat” Syrian buffet. It was pretty crowded on a Sunday evening. Loved the spread. There was so much variety. Starting from various salads, hummus, dips, shawarma, soups, currys, grilled meats, types of rice, freies, fruits and assortment of desserts. We had a great time. Couldn’t decide what to eat. We were so full by the time we finished. The baklava was just wow. Buffet was 15€ per person. Drinks are not included but it’s only 2euro extra. Highly recommend this restaurant if in the area.

Mandel is a busy Arabic "All You Can Eat" restaurant with lots of food options. You can fill your plate with shawarma, rice with different flavors, salads, soups, grilled meats, fried chicken, and even German-style dishes like pommes. The food is tasty but very oily, and usually one plate is enough. Drinks aren’t included — like 2€ for a Fanta or coffee. They also have baklava and fresh fruits. It’s often crowded, especially with families and kids, but for 15€ on weekdays, it’s a great place if you're really hungry and love Arabic food.

I recently went to the Arabic buffet and overall I was very satisfied. The food was really tasty and fresh, with a good selection of traditional dishes. I particularly liked the freshly prepared salads and the spicy meat dishes. The atmosphere was a bit louder, but still lively and in keeping with the style of the restaurant. Price-performance is absolutely right here - the buffet is cheap and offers a lot of quality for the price. I'd love to come back!

The selection is particularly impressive for buffet lovers. The cleanliness was absolutely fine, both in the dining room and in the buffet area. A small negative point: The staff wasn't particularly friendly. There is definitely still room for improvement when it comes to service and warmth. Overall, a successful visit with very good food – therefore a solid 4 out of 5 stars. We would still come back!
