The worst open buffet experience ever, the worst environment, food was shockingly bad and stale. Food was super oily and had disgusting aftertaste. Tried to try like 4-5 dishes and ended up eating one bite of them and leaving the plates aside as they tasted horrible. I ended up eating shawarma only. Deserts were simply inedible, overheard other people sitting beside us saying the same. The place is overcrowded and toilets were super dirty. Shawarma was the best thing there, but even though it wasn’t the best.

Food doesn't taste good at all, it's rich in sunflower oil so you feel full quickly. I've had diarrhea for 2 days. Public train station toilets in Hamburg hbf are cleaner. I would never eat food like that again, not even for free.

We were there yesterday on a Monday at 8:15 p.m. with the family (five adults, two children). Ambiance: The store is full of chairs and tables, so you really don't have much space to walk through the aisles. You have to constantly apologize to get through it. Here there is more emphasis on profit than on comfort and space! There were 8 rows with 25 seats each (approx. 200 people). The store was completely full. Basically a good sign, but at the expense of the guests. Here the operator is clearly concerned with mass. Buffett: The selection is okay, but at least a third of the dishes on offer were either cold or empty and were not refilled accordingly. In terms of taste, I can only subjectively say that I liked it, but I've also eaten it better and tastier, so it wasn't "amazing". AAAAAAAAABER: About 1 hour later, 2 adults and 1 child of us had stomach pains and vomited!!! One adult of the two got it really bad and couldn't go to work the next day. Everyone ate the same salad, which only consisted of white cabbage and dressing (mayo based). Another no-go was the plate issue: There were simply far too few plates available and some people actually stood in line for at least 5 minutes to get a plate. That's a long time if you're hungry and want to get more. Plus, these are these simple IKEA plates that have cost €0.50 per plate for years and are probably familiar to everyone who has ever been to IKEA. So either they don't have enough staff to wash plates or they don't have enough plates. The cleanliness was acceptable, of course there was something "off" here and there, but everything was still within limits at such a "rush hour". Another no-go: The music was so confused that it would be loud for a few seconds and then suddenly quiet for a few seconds and would be interrupted for a second at a time with exaggerated bass. Until my brother asked the waiter to finally turn off the music, which was done immediately. Conclusion: It was our first time there, but it will definitely stay that way. We will not recommend it. Maybe we weren't so lucky with the food. But the other points are also a fact and will probably stay that way and that's absolutely not for us, even though we also come from the "Arab continent", in case someone thinks I'm "German" and sees everything too strictly.

I ate at Mandali with a friend this afternoon, and I'm honestly sitting on the toilet for the third time today, writing this review. We were impressed by the "all you can eat" offer for 15 euros. When we walked in, a service employee was sitting at reception on his cell phone and just nodded. Unfortunately, when we were seated, no one came to our table. My friend suggested we just help ourselves to the buffet. As an empathetic person, I still asked if we could help ourselves. Nobody really understood me, and a woman came over and answered yes. I'm used to a much friendlier welcome and hospitality from Arab culture. Now, on to the food: To be honest, there was a wide selection of oriental dishes, but a lot of it looked reorganized and all the food was cold. The food tasted satisfactory, but I was expecting a stomachache soon after visiting the restaurant, and I'm actually used to oriental food. My friend had the same symptoms, which is why I strongly suspect the food wasn't entirely clean. Over time, nausea developed, and, as I mentioned at the beginning, I had to use the toilet frequently. I'm sitting there right now, and my foot is almost numb, so I'll sum it up briefly: I'm simply warning you with my review and want to prevent you from feeling nauseous. It's a real shame... I hope the owner reads this and improves the quality, especially the food. He's welcome to raise the price a bit, but I wouldn't eat today's food even for free.

Mandali is an amazing place. It's a Syrian "all you can eat" buffet, and believe me, you will love to eat all. I tried at least 15 different dishes, and all of them were perfectly cooked. The service was super even considering that during Ramadan season, at 6:30, it gets fully packed. I have to say it is one of the best foods I have ever had. They serve around 10 different desserts, fruits, coffee, and tea. The best part: the price: €15. This is at least $50 in the USA. When in Cologne you can't miss this place.

We visited Mandali for the first time and drove from Dortmund to Cologne specifically to try the food - after all, we had only heard good things about this shop and wanted to see it for ourselves. Everything was very clean and well maintained, which left a positive impression. The waiters and the entire team were incredibly friendly and accommodating. You can tell straight away that they put their heart and soul into what they do and really welcome their guests. The service was attentive but never intrusive – just the right mix. The food was the real highlight! It was fresh, aromatic and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight that literally exploded on the tongue. It was a feast for the senses! The selection of dishes was varied and you could tell that the ingredients were prepared with a lot of love and dedication. We liked it so much that we will definitely come back – even from Dortmund! The trip is definitely worth it if you want to enjoy such a unique culinary experience. I would highly recommend Mandali to anyone looking for exceptional food and a warm atmosphere. Anyone who has eaten here once will want to come back again and again!

As a pakistani , Sorry to say but i didn’t liked the food, zero taste, i got stomach issue after eating food. We payed almost 50€ , no taste, even pizza was tasting like sweet , variety of foods , salads , pizza and lamachun is offered but no taste. I regret, i would recommend you to order one dish of ur choice from good restaurants. But overall service was good. Manager was really welcoming. Good seating arrangements.

However, what I found to be something that could be improved is that the dishes were not labeled. There were no signs with the names of the dishes or information about the ingredients. This meant that I always had to ask: "What's that called?", "What's in it?" or “What’s not in it?” While the staff was friendly and helpful, better signage could save guests the hassle and make the experience more enjoyable. Other than that, it was a nice visit and I would like to come back - with the hope that this small detail will be taken into account in the future.
