Great place if you're looking for halal buffet. The place offers a wide variety of options. I personally love their chicken/meat and rice options. The salad bar is also great. I personally didn't like their sweets as much but they have a wide variety of that for those who like. Overall a nice place to enjoy halal buffet with your family and friends at a very reasonable price.

Truly, after our first experience, this restaurant became my family's favorite. It deserves 5 stars and I highly recommend it.

For 15 euros, it's okay for those who don't know how to cook or want to take a break from cooking. The bad thing is that there's no parking; you can spend an hour looking and still not find anything.

We went there on April 5th, 2026, because we followed the recommendation from Max's video. I was a bit put off beforehand by the bad reviews, but we still wanted to try it out. For anyone else considering this: Don't. When we arrived, it was already quite full. The tables were arranged like in a cafeteria, without tablecloths, etc. Not very nice in terms of ambiance, but okay. That doesn't necessarily mean anything. The server showed us to a table that was still dirty. Not too bad. But what happened next left me speechless. She sprayed the table with Febreze fabric refresher and wiped it down. Aside from the fact that it's unhygienic, the smell of this fabric refresher lingered throughout our entire visit. It was truly disgusting. The buffet selection was okay, but not particularly extensive. It felt more like a cafeteria. The cheapest dishes and cutlery imaginable, and not exactly clean. The food itself was okay, but not really tasty. The chicken was very watery. The salads were extremely sour. Then I thought, okay, the desserts look good, maybe they'll save the meal. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I rarely leave dessert unfinished, but I couldn't manage more than a bite of each. I know you can't expect anything amazing for €16 per person. But neither my husband nor I could understand Max's review. Hygiene-wise, it seemed okay, comparable to a typical kebab shop in Cologne. All in all: Save your money. We didn't even finish two plates and left. A real shame.

HALAL RESTAURANT ❤️ Unfortunately, the shawarma pieces were extremely greasy, the chicken strips were dry and lukewarm, the fries were cold and soaked in oil (they'd clearly been sitting out for an hour), the rice was dry, and there were no drinks included except for refillable mini tea bags. The baklava was very tasty. The salads were also very fresh and delicious. I might go again. The music was unfortunately very loud.

We visited Mandali in Cologne today and were very satisfied. The food was delicious and the buffet was constantly replenished. We especially enjoyed the desserts – they were perfectly suited to our tastes. The various rice dishes were also excellent. Among them was a yellow rice with a very unique and delicious flavor. Everything was well-organized and the staff was very attentive. We also appreciated that the price of tea was clearly listed on the menu. Overall, a very pleasant experience – we'll definitely be back!

The food is consistently delicious, and you'll definitely leave satisfied. The ambiance is rather simple, and the service could be a bit more attentive—tables are sometimes cleared and cleaned rather late. But honestly, for the price, you absolutely can't complain. If you're looking for good food at a fair price, this is the place to go!

Honestly, I used to like the place, but unfortunately, when I went for the first day of Ramadan, I bought meals for two people, and they charged me for two, making it more expensive than if I just sat down to eat. They charged me 32 (currency unspecified), even though the food was worth the price. A few days later, when we went back to buy more food for two, they charged me for the salad, which is included with the meal. If I were eating in the restaurant, I would have eaten all kinds of salads in larger quantities, but unfortunately, they charged me for two meals as if they were for three people, asking for 55 (currency unspecified). Then they took pity on us and reduced the price to 40 (currency unspecified), even though the containers they have are barely enough for half a person. It's a shame to have such treatment during Ramadan. This food costs 55 euros.

I had planned a nice weekend with good food. The result: I spent the entire weekend on the toilet after visiting this place. The health department will be hearing from me; this establishment absolutely must be shut down. Take this as a warning; you'll thank me later. The level of unhygienic conditions there is unacceptable. On the way to the toilet, you walk through two kitchen areas with food lying all over the floor, and the toilets are filthy. LLP should be using this place for food preparation.

The food is nice, well prepared and feels pretty much like Syrian home food. The atmosphere is not too quiet, but this is expected to find in a buffet. It's a multi cultural atmosphere, Arabs, Indians, Asian, etc... It's 15€ per person and you refill as much as you can. The staff were a big help for whatever I asked about. It's a good experience I believe, recommended.

Great food and atmosphere. I like that you have to pay 9€ extra if you left food on your plate. The only thing I didn't like is that the toilets aren't clean. That's something worth improving. The tables are bit close to each other, making it difficult to move around freely. I also think it's a shame that you don't have an official website or online presence. It would make it easier to check out the variety of food and you could gain more customers. And if you offer specific dishes on specific days, it would be nice to know in advance. It's a great place for families, the price is fair and it's good that you explicitly don't offer alcoholic beverages. It's a bit difficult to find parking spots though.

There were four of us on a Thursday evening. We called ahead and were told that reservations weren't necessary or even possible. However, we had no trouble finding a table. Unfortunately, the tables were very close together and not particularly clean. The buffet selection was okay, with fresh shawarma, tender meat, delicious rice dishes, and interesting desserts. Drinks are only available directly from the refrigerators – self-service! You have to clear your own plates, so there's essentially no service. I'm giving it one star because I did receive information about one of the dishes when I asked. Unfortunately, nothing was labeled. Also bothersome, at least during the colder months, was the chill that permeated the entire room as soon as the entrance door opened. Note: Cash only! In conclusion: If you enjoy good food and Syrian cuisine, you should give it a try for €16 (drinks are €2.50). However, you shouldn't be too concerned about hygiene!

We were there on Monday at lunchtime and got a table very easily. There was a great selection of delicious food, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive! The value for money is really good, €16 per person for the buffet. Bring cash, as they only accept cash payments. Unfortunately, it was quite cold at a window seat in winter, so dress warmly.

Mandali is a wonderful Syrian all-you-can-eat restaurant, located less than a 10-minute walk from Cologne South train station. The selection is truly extensive, and the food was absolutely delicious. There's something for everyone! And the prices are very reasonable!

So, all-you-can-eat for €15 seems like a fair price to me. Even better than ordering a regular meal somewhere else… They have very tasty shawarma, rice, meat, salad, fruit, free tea with or without sugar, sauces, and sweets.

Disastrous. Everything was covered in oil, and then they put out light ketchup to meet quotas. Anyone who goes here will definitely spend a long time on the toilet the next day.

I loved having a buffet with such delicious food and on top of that it was Halal. In love with their special beef which i heard is a regular dish. Also the rice and chicken were amazing. You’ll love it if you are ok with crowded places especially in the evenings but the food was worth it as it was cheaper compared to the portions.

I was here today with my father and grandmother. The food was quite good; I especially enjoyed the tender beef and the flan/pudding. Most of the dishes were hot, and the plates were replenished quickly. However, the floor wasn't entirely clean, and according to my father, there was also a mess/dirtiness in the back kitchen. There's a sign saying that you shouldn't take food away and that you have to pay a €9 penalty if you don't finish your plate (though I don't think this rule is consistently enforced). Still, you have to be fair, and for €16, you can't complain. Plus, there was free black tea to refill your own cup. We were there late on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn't very crowded at all. You could still choose your own table. Overall, it's worth it if you want to try different dishes for a small price or if you want to eat a lot cheaply.

The food was delicious, both the stews and the meat dishes were very good, and the restaurant manager provided very hospitable service.

We wanted to try it out – a complete disaster. The tables are arranged like in a school classroom, no tablecloths… You practically have to clean them yourself. The cutlery is in boxes, some of which aren't clean. Very loud. No glasses, only canned cola with a deposit. The food isn't labeled – no information about what it actually is (allergens?!). Four different types of rice? The food is cold. One plate even left a fuzzy feeling in my mouth. They supposedly have lots of fruit, but I saw customers tearing things off with their bare hands twice – and one guy put a flatbread back, definitely not wearing gloves. People, go to a kebab shop or a Chinese restaurant instead – at least you know what you're getting. I spoke to the cashier, he didn't care, oh yeah, they only take cash.

The food was a huge disappointment. The so-called "all you can eat" consisted almost entirely of salads and strange desserts, while proper main courses were practically nonexistent. There were five different types of rice, but everything was cold. You had to get your own soft drinks from the refrigerator in cans. The service was practically nonexistent: there were no glasses, and you had to gather your own cutlery and paper cups. Nothing was laid out on the table; instead, there were tissues meant to serve as napkins. A plate I tried to take from the stack was already dirty. Particularly annoying: you can't pay by card, and there was no indication of this anywhere. You only found out at the checkout that only cash was accepted. The staff worked exclusively in the kitchen. The atmosphere was a complete disaster. The music was deafeningly loud, and the aisles were so narrow that you could barely squeeze between the benches. The whole experience felt like a lavishly improvised, cheaply run large event or wedding where furniture was hastily thrown together – without any concept or attention to detail. The food was disappointing, some of it even inedible. Since the dishes weren't labeled, we often didn't know what we were eating. The fruit was just piled up and looked unappetizing. They also added a €0.50 deposit for the cans. That's why we ended up paying €90 for five people, even though they initially said it would be €15 per person. I had colic for two hours afterward. It was a very unpleasant experience that I definitely wouldn't recommend.
