Should be open on monday, but closed when I was there.

On the recommendation of a friend and our daughter's birthday wish to go out for Mexican food, we reserved a table at Esquina for April 13, 2025. We asked in advance whether we could bring the birthday cake with us, which was easily answered in the affirmative. When we arrived at the Esquina restaurant we were greeted very friendly and shown to a table. We were allowed to give the cake, which was in an unpackaged cardboard box with a viewing window, to cool. We were greeted with a small, hot platter with a few nachos and cheese. For starters we ordered a portion of onion rings and 2 cheesy bread. The onion rings were big and juicy, the cheesy bread was also good. For the main course we had honey spare ribs (recommended by a friend). These were really excellent and super tender. We also had a burrito with chili con carne with beef and chicken...also very good. We also ordered chicken tacos. Unfortunately this was very dry and tough. We reported it immediately and asked if you could get the beef tacos instead...this was done very courteously. After eating we were so full that we decided to skip the cake and take it back with us. Since we announced in advance that it was our daughter's birthday dinner, she was surprised with something sweet (delicious chocolate cakes) and a sparkler. My wife and I drank another espresso and ordered the bill and our cake. The bill came promptly, but the cake never came. We asked three times and it became hectic among the staff. We were each brought a schnapps and after about 20 minutes the cake was brought. It was now also packed in a plastic bag...we didn't know why and didn't ask -> THAT was a mistake. When we left we were greeted very politely. We were informed that we had been offered coffee and the two schnapps and of course we thanked them. When we got home, our daughter wanted to see the cake that my wife had decorated. We unpacked them from the plastic bags and my wife first said that we had gotten the wrong cake...then we realized that the cake must have tipped over or fallen down!!! Now we realized why it took so long to get the cake, why it was suddenly packed and we were also offered coffee and schnapps!! We are so angry and disappointed with the behavior of the entire team at Restaurant Esquina. Like little children, they tried to cover something up instead of being open and honest about what had happened. This can happen to anyone and we certainly wouldn't have been angry or made a fuss, but this behavior is unacceptable!!! We are aware that the restaurant will now deny the whole thing due to our recession... but we and those responsible know!! Despite the very good food, we will definitely not come back and advise everyone not to visit! Attached are the photos of the cake before and after the visit!

Went there for a drink today. I don't have a problem with ice cubes in my drink, but if more than half of it is ice cubes and the drink tastes like water, I won't be back. That's not acceptable in my opinion.

The fat was rancid and the tackos tasted that way too. The rest of the food wasn't bad, but the buritos tasted like the ready-made ones from Aldi

We had a delicious meal and the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating despite the huge crowds! The food was tasty and of course the happy hour invites you to just try the cocktails. Gladly again!

It's really a shame that we had to wait over an hour for our food and we weren't even briefly informed about it, but had to ask ourselves. We were then treated snippily and unfriendly and unfortunately the service in general was really not good. The food was okay, but I expected more in terms of taste. Dry meat and salt were also missing in some tacos.

Adjustment of the review: great reaction to our negative experience: we received a voucher for €20 as compensation / Waited 50 minutes for food and was late for the cinema. The steak was not “medium” as ordered, but “well done”. You leave a lot of money there and then you should be able to expect the right level of doneness. As a "compensation" the drinks were supposed to be on the house, but due to the time pressure we didn't do the math straight away and found out at home that only the cheapest drink was waived. All in all very disappointing.

The food and service are outstanding! Unfortunately it is very loud there. Otherwise I would move in!

Essen war ok. Preise eher gehoben. Restaurant war sehr voll und laut. Die Musik hat zeitweise Schmerzen verursacht. Lange Wartezeit.

Essen ist Standard nichts besonderes , zum trinken ja Essen gibt es bessere Getränke gibt es überall da muss ich nicht mehr hin
