I recently visited Mezalitos in Reutlingen, and overall it was a very good experience. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food was tasty, but not exceptional – you get solid quality at a fair price. The portions were also adequate. The service was friendly, though sometimes a bit slow, especially when it was busy. Nevertheless, they tried their best, and in the end, everything was fine. Overall, it's a good, average restaurant that I can definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxed meal without any particular expectations.

I always liked it there in principle. The Mexican flair, the Mexican food, and the cocktails were all great. But last time the service wasn't so good (we had to wait ages for our drink order to arrive, then ages for the drinks to come, etc.). Then I didn't get what I ordered. I couldn't even complain because the server got lost somewhere. Luckily, I was able to swap my meal with my companion; otherwise, I simply wouldn't have eaten it and wouldn't have paid. When I went to pay, I pointed it out to the server, who then offered ten superficial "sorrys." As I was leaving, the restaurant manager asked if everything was okay. I said no. He told me to approach him next time, and then we'd find a solution. He remembered my face. But I don't know if I even want to go there again.

Long wait just to be able to order for finally getting a pale representation of a margarita with way to much salt and a pisco sour tasting like grenadine syrup…

There's a great selection of food and drinks, and the food was really delicious. The service wasn't entirely satisfactory that day, probably because it was very busy. However, the waitress apologized kindly and even offered us a complimentary dessert. Mistakes can happen where people work, so I completely understood. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

As someone who's been to Mexico and the USA several times: the service is exceptionally good. The food is okay. Mexican restaurants are really rare in Germany, but unfortunately, the food here is only okay. Tip number one: the sauces have so much potential, but the salsa, sour cream, and guacamole are all quite bland. I can do better myself. The selection, however, is excellent 👍. Keep at it, and your place can become outstanding 💪

We were there today as a couple with a small dog and received a very friendly welcome. After we were seated, a bowl of water was brought for the dog. Very attentive! 😃 The waitress gave us good advice on our order, and the food arrived quickly. It was super delicious and, as previously mentioned, the portions were generous. I was there a few years ago, and the restaurant was rated 4/5. That's understandable when you only eat one dish from the menu, which is available everywhere: a burger! Service took a long time but the food was worth the wait and the price-performance ratio is also good.

It has gone downhill a lot. When you make a reservation you should know where the guest is sitting. You look and are confused. You sit them where there is space. What are you reserving for? There is a smoking area, why are there ashtrays on the table? The service is not attentive to the guests, the starters were delicious and the main course was so-so. An espresso at the end is great but it has to be hot, you can try it, maybe the guest won't notice and then the statement: I noticed it too, why? I don't need it anymore and it wasn't the first time. Oh yes, a bottle of water costs 5.30 euros for 0.5 liters and a 0.5 liter beer costs 4.95 euros, it's getting too much. Oh yes, as a waiter you can also point out to customers that a dog has no business being on the table.

Delicious food, but the menu is way too large! A bit confusing. The Mexican dishes were particularly delicious! Overall, highly recommended.

The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and when the coleslaw was missing, they immediately made a double serving upon request :) Special requests were also accommodated. The only thing to note is that the menu descriptions are slightly confusing. For example, the burrito stated that it was served with rice only. Contrary to expectations, the burrito was actually filled with rice. Other dishes, however, stated something like: "filled with rice"—but otherwise, really great.

Despite looking like a great Mexican restaurant with super appealing dishes, we came here just for dessert. We had the churros and crema catalana, and both were excellent! I think we'll definitely be giving this place a try for dinner sometime soon. It left a sweet impression! Later we tried food too and one word "amazing".

A highly recommended Mexican restaurant with delicious food and a wide selection of cocktails. The dishes are authentic and beautifully presented, and the cocktails are creative and well-mixed. The cozy outdoor area is especially inviting in the summer. We've been there several times with friends and family – each time it's been a pleasant experience with good service.

Mezcalitos is an institution, with a very nice atmosphere and excellent food. Unfortunately, we learned that soon, payment will only be possible by card, so no cash. I find that a real shame, so it's deducting one star.

Lovely place incredible atmosphere

The ambiance is attractively designed – you can clearly see that the owner put a lot of thought into it. For that, I give it five stars 🌟 The food is also of good quality, even if it's not quite to my personal taste. My friends like it, though. Unfortunately, I have to strongly criticize the service: I've been there at least five times now, and each time I've noticed a blatant lack of staff. It regularly takes 30 minutes or more before you're even asked if you'd like a refill – even though your drink is long gone. At first, I thought this was an exception, perhaps due to last-minute sick calls. But since this pattern repeats itself every time, it's unfortunately a structural problem and seems poorly organized. The service staff themselves are very friendly and dedicated – there's nothing to complain about here. However, they're obviously overworked, which is probably due to understaffing. I don't know if I'll come again.

This was my first time eating Mexican food and at Mezcalitos, and it was fantastic. The gentleman who served us was not only thorough but also very knowledgeable, and I ordered based on his recommendation and was more than impressed with the food. We tried eating there twice. Unfortunately, the staff were unfriendly, and we encountered one in particular twice. Very unpleasant. It's a shame, because we would have loved to try it. Perhaps others will have better luck.

Went there for a drink today. I don't have a problem with ice cubes in my drink, but if more than half of it is ice cubes and the drink tastes like water, I won't be back. That's not acceptable in my opinion.

Hello)) I've been to Metzcalito several times now, the food is good, the atmosphere is pleasant, but unfortunately the service is increasingly leaving something to be desired. Twice in a row we were completely ignored for a very long time, so I finally left without even being able to order. And unfortunately this is not an isolated case - my friends also report similar things. If you have to wait over 25 minutes for anyone to come to the table, something is definitely wrong. Maybe it would be time to hire more staff or better organize the existing service. The restaurant management would also take a little more seriousness... ;) It's a shame, because the potential is there. But under these circumstances I will think carefully about my next visit.

Yesterday, four of us ate at Mescalitos. The food (spare ribs, burrito con carne, and flautas pollo) was, as always, excellent, and the portions were very generous. Thanks to Elisa for the very friendly and attentive service. We really enjoyed the evening. Since it's always busy, we recommend making a reservation in advance. It's worth it.

Nice location to drink a cocktail with friends or acquaintances. Good and attentive service. Unfortunately, the food is not very loving and has little to do with Mexican cuisine. A lot of frozen products that are prepared in a Mexican style, but have no connection in terms of taste. Tacos and burritos are filled with a lightly seasoned sauce that is more like a Bolognese. Black beans, traditional in Central America, are more like a light brown mash made from some kind of bean (but they're not black beans!). Unfortunately, this doesn't even qualify as mainstream Tex-Mex food.

The four of us had dinner on Saturday around 6 p.m. We all had shrimp as an appetizer and burrito or tacos for dinner. We had stomach cramps and diarrhea every few hours afterward or all day the next day. One even took sick leave for food poisoning. We only ate here that evening. The guess is the shrimp or the minced meat... It's a shame, but I won't be eating here anymore.

We went to Mezcalitos for dinner and were a little disappointed. Although the place is very large and the atmosphere is very good, we didn't like the food and service that much. Regarding the food, we found it a little bland; We ordered the patatas bravas, which were frozen potatoes with sour sauce. For main courses, we ordered the tuna burrito and the red beef enchilada; Both dishes were very large with accompaniments, but for our taste they lacked flavor, the enchilada was good but the rice practically tasted of nothing and the salad that accompanied the burrito was nothing special. The service was correct, the problem is that it was very slow and every time we needed something we had to insist.

We (4 people) had dinner here yesterday at 5 p.m. For starters we shared a large portion of nachos with minced meat, refried beans and cheese. Afterwards everyone had their own main course. We ALL have had gastrointestinal problems since last night and are just running to the toilet. Since we only ate there together that day/evening and ate the same thing, it is unfortunately very obvious that it came from the food. A virus or something similar is out of the question because we had no contact with each other before. It's a shame, because we all enjoyed it, but after this experience we unfortunately lost our desire to come again. Therefore only 1 star.

Was here for dinner with my wife today. The food was very tasty. But what couldn't be beat here was the service from the young waitress. The lady was super friendly, incredibly attentive and accommodating. The boss is lucky to have such a worker. We will definitely come back. We have been coming to you for years and are always thrilled! One of our first dates was at Mezcalitos and now our girls love the evenings with you too. We recently celebrated Christmas with the extended family and had a great evening with delicious cocktails and excellent food. All main courses (and there were many different ones) came at the same time and were just really good. We were very hungry and ordered a starter and main course. The panic was in vain, the portions were very decent and in the end we had to take a small package with us. But that wasn't a problem, the service was very accommodating. There is a good selection and the food is really tasty. So all in all, it's hard to recommend, especially since everything is inexpensive.
