The food is delicious, the portions are large, the service is fast and the staff is very friendly. They even brought 2 aperitifs. The prices are absolutely adequate for such a place.

Esquina is one of the best restaurants in Lörrach. As soon as you enter, you can feel the warm hospitality. The service is attentive, friendly and courteous, so you immediately feel welcome.

Very tasty, unfortunately not what I mean by authentic Mexican, no special sauces, a little more expensive but super friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

It was a great evening. We got a lot on the house and the ambience was great!

The food was delicious and beautifully served, but what made the experience even more special was the staff – extremely friendly and welcoming. They make you feel at home. Personally, I found it very tasty! I was there twice and I really enjoyed the food. I think this should be the case in every restaurant/café. People visit such places to try something new and tasty that they cannot cook at home.

It was normal food but the price/performance ratio isn't quite right and it's not Mexican cuisine, it's more standard with a touch of Mexico. All in all it's ok but not a must Service and atmosphere are 8.5 out of 10

Unfortunately, the music is often a bit too loud, which is disruptive during conversations and is not necessarily to everyone's taste, not even for lovers of Mexican cuisine. On the recommendation of a friend and our daughter's birthday wish to go out for Mexican food, we reserved a table at Esquina for April 13, 2025. We asked in advance whether we could bring the birthday cake with us, which was easily answered in the affirmative. When we arrived at the Esquina restaurant we were greeted very friendly and shown to a table. We were allowed to give the cake, which was in an unpackaged cardboard box with a viewing window, to cool. We were greeted with a small, hot platter with a few nachos and cheese. For starters we ordered a portion of onion rings and 2 cheesy bread. The onion rings were big and juicy, the cheesy bread was also good. For the main course we had honey spare ribs (recommended by a friend). These were really excellent and super tender. We also had a burrito with chili con carne with beef and chicken...also very good. We also ordered chicken tacos. Unfortunately this was very dry and tough. We reported it immediately and asked if you could get the beef tacos instead...this was done very courteously. After eating we were so full that we decided to skip the cake and take it back with us. Since we announced in advance that it was our daughter's birthday dinner, she was surprised with something sweet (delicious chocolate cakes) and a sparkler. My wife and I drank another espresso and ordered the bill and our cake. The bill came promptly, but the cake never came. We asked three times and it became hectic among the staff. We were each brought a schnapps and after about 20 minutes the cake was brought. It was now also packed in a plastic bag...we didn't know why and didn't ask -> THAT was a mistake. When we left we were greeted very politely. We were informed that we had been offered coffee and the two schnapps and of course we thanked them. When we got home, our daughter wanted to see the cake that my wife had decorated. We unpacked them from the plastic bags and my wife first said that we had gotten the wrong cake...then we realized that the cake must have tipped over or fallen down!!! Now we realized why it took so long to get the cake, why it was suddenly packed and we were also offered coffee and schnapps!! We are so angry and disappointed with the behavior of the entire team at Restaurant Esquina. Like little children, they tried to cover something up instead of being open and honest about what had happened. This can happen to anyone and we certainly wouldn't have been angry or made a fuss, but this behavior is unacceptable!!! We are aware that the restaurant will now deny the whole thing due to our recession... but we and those responsible know!! Despite the very good food, we will definitely not come back and advise everyone not to visit! Attached are the photos of the cake before and after the visit!

Just wow. I've been to Esquina in Lörrach several times now - and every time the meat blows me away. Grilled to perfection, juicy, full of flavor - exactly what you want but almost never get. You immediately notice that there is real craftsmanship and passion behind it. Plus a stylish ambience, a relaxed atmosphere and a team that is attentive without being intrusive. To be honest: if it's meat, it's here. For me it's definitely a 5-star experience - every time.

Actually 3.5 stars max. 4 So the service and the attention of the staff is great. I think the price is ok. I find the quality of the meat in particular to be below average. Mexicans wouldn't stray here. Too big, feels like clearance. Not authentic food. I think the food tends to be worse right on the border with Switzerland than in the hinterland. Well it was worth a try, wouldn't work again.

I am very disappointed with the restaurant. We had the chicken fajitas and combo special. The chicken fajitas included a wild mix of different vegetables. green beans, carrots and peppers. The chicken was a bit dry. Apparently we had the leftover menu, because there was no avocado cream, just a small leaf of lettuce and only 5g of cheese. I paid €22 for that! The combo special costs €30 and consisted of a 4cm piece of ribs, a single chicken wing, two onion rings and limp fries, as well as cheap bread. The plate was worth a maximum of €5, we felt totally ripped off. It was extremely overpriced. I've never eaten so incredibly badly. It's not Mexican at all, I would describe it more as bad German cuisine. Regarding the ambience... it was extremely crowded, extremely loud, you couldn't have a conversation at all and the neighboring table was just 10cm away from your own. This does not create a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.

I can only recommend the food, no matter what you eat, it is very tasty. I recommend the Ceaser Salad - the chicken tastes fantastic when cooked to perfection and the dressing tastes very good. I ordered Fagitas, with shrimp, chicken and beef... super good!!!!!!! The boss was also very nice to my wife and I because we didn't like the place. All in all we will come back even if we live in Zurich
