Well. Unfortunately, my food was only lukewarm. After complaining to the friendly server, it was reheated in the microwave or under the salamander grill. For Mexican food, it was far too bland and tasteless. The street-style tacos didn't really fill me up either. The hibiscus iced tea was delicious. I was disappointed and, unfortunately, won't be coming back because of the prices and what was offered. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is quite nice.

Still a great place after 30 years. Happy hour from 10 pm on weekends. Delicious cocktails. Unfortunately, there's no DJ like there used to be.

The atmosphere was great, the service was good. But the food was really salty; I couldn't finish my meal and had to drink 5 liters of water afterwards.

We ate the large platter for two and it was very tasty. For dessert, we took away one portion of churros; €4.90 for four small rings seemed expensive to me. They're even cheaper at Europa-Park.

Gluten-free options are readily available. If you inquire, they will ask directly about celiac disease. Due to potential cross-contamination, some gluten-free dishes are excluded by the staff, who are very attentive, and there are still plenty of delicious dishes to choose from!

Simply the best Mexican restaurant in town 😋😋😋 Always friendly, the decor never gets old, and the food is always delicious! Tip: For two or more people, definitely try the baked nachos as a starter!

It used to be much better in terms of price, quantity, and number of dishes. Since the changes, I rarely go there anymore, as it's simply become too expensive for me. The only thing that really fills me up is the €30 plate – but I haven't had a drink with it yet. So, I only go once every two or three years.

I was here for Taco Tuesday. The service was a 12/10, so friendly, and the atmosphere was great. My favorite was the taco with refried beans, then beef, tinga de pollo, and then potatoes. It's light on the stomach and tastes great.

We often eat at El Taquito. The dishes are delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill all your wishes. I highly recommend it.

We were there yesterday… generally really good, but unfortunately too much so. It's tailored to the tastes of local guests. Mexican means hearty… unfortunately, not the case. Sirloin steak drenched in paprika and tomato sauce… that would have been better served separately. Service was truly top-notch. Our seat was so dark that we had to illuminate the menu with our phones. Still, a pleasant evening.

We arrived here around 6 p.m. We received our drinks and food within 20 minutes. The staff is very friendly. The food and drinks are absolutely reasonable in terms of price and taste. The design has Aztec influences. Overall impression: We'll definitely be back.

The food was very good, we came mainly for Tuesday Taco Day, the first thing was a young, nice, friendly woman who gave us a table, and even an extra one so that we weren't sitting so close together, we had reserved for 7, but in the end there was one too few. Then a very unfriendly waitress came, an older woman with black hair, who at first didn't recommend Taco Day because the tacos are too small, we said we knew that and the price was normal, then she scolded us why we had the extra table, we explained that our colleague had given us such dishes, she said the colleague didn't know, she's new and inexperienced. Besides, this table was reserved. We said OK, no problem. Then she said we weren't allowed to pay for the food separately, we were surprised because it didn't say that anywhere, so we said OK, no problem. This woman doesn't belong in a job like this, I've been coming there for many years, the men are incredibly friendly but this woman is the worst. My mood was ruined by the end, thanks to this woman. Conclusion: After almost three hours, this table wasn't reserved, she was lying!

We wanted to try the various tortillas on offer and were disappointed in several areas. The service from one of the ladies was very brusque and not customer-oriented; she took the wrong order despite asking for it. However, another waitress helped and corrected it. The food was unfortunately nothing. The steak tasted like it had been cooked in 10-day-old fat, and everything was cold and bland. There was cilantro all over everything, which isn't what I'm used to.

I was there for the first time yesterday, and it was actually very nice. The food was very good and the atmosphere really nice, but it took over 30 minutes after we got a table for someone to take our order. The drinks arrived 15 minutes later, even though one of them was initially missing. We arrived at 6:40 p.m. and didn't get our food until 7:40 p.m. Unfortunately, we were late getting to the cinema because we hadn't expected to have to wait so long for our food. I would recommend it, but maybe allow a little more time just in case.

I don't know if we just had a bad day today, but it wasn't meant to be. The wrong dishes were delivered, starters came after the main courses, the wrong main courses arrived, and ingredients were missing. All of this really spoiled the overall impression, no matter how good the waitress's great and friendly service was.

The atmosphere is beautifully decorated, with helpful and friendly staff. The service was quick, and the place was relatively small, so we had no trouble finding a table. The food was very tasty, except for the cheese sauce, which didn't taste like cheese. The guacamole was very good, but the portions were small. The price was fair. I recommend it!

The restaurant is a bit... Overwhelming. It's too cluttered. The food was ok, albeit a bit too greasy. The service was friendly enough. Not sure we'll be back abgab though.

As always, we enjoyed it very much. We always try something new. This time we had the large platter for two people. Great selection and a variety of flavors. The mango mojito was also very good.

My partner and I decided to stop by on our way home in January. We ordered a small appetizer: homemade nachos and guacamole. Both were incredibly delicious, and the difference was definitely noticeable. Both main courses were also plentiful and very tasty. We'll be back when we're in the area again. Highly recommended. You can call a server directly from your phone using a code provided at the table. Unfortunately, I can't upload a picture :(

€20 – nothing more needs to be said. The price-performance ratio isn't right at all – the salad was partly brown and soggy.

Delicious food. We went there for dinner on a Friday. The filled tacos come with a wrapped citrus refresher for your hands. The special meatloaf (nos. 45, 41) looks less like ground beef than meatloaf (topped with sausage/meat pieces) – I thought it was delicious. The house iced tea and the Mexican hot chocolate, among other things, are also highly recommended. Thank you, Maria, for the great, competent service.

I ordered a Mexican salad and received a regular salad after waiting for over an hour. Then I had a vegetarian dish. The dumplings were soggy, the potatoes overcooked, and the dips were run-of-the-mill. They were poorly labeled, with additives and flavor enhancers. It would be beneficial to get some training in food safety. For one meal, and then no more.

Very slow service. Servers were unapologetically rude. You can speak English all you want (even if it was a legitimate complaint about the waiting time) but they will reply to you in German, it is as if their goal is not to communicate but instead just to complain at you instead. Food was good quality though, but the bad experience really ruins it.

Tradition at the location for almost 40 years and not without reason. If you're in the mood for Mexican food, you'll get your money's worth here. The selection of dishes is very plentiful, although a bit confusing due to the many special promotions. The selection menus for two people are really fun, but the quantity is not manageable. The prices are fair and reasonable.

Went there for lunch and aside from being horribly overpriced (€5.20 for a 0.5 bottle of water, €9 for literally 10 nacho chips with small amount of toppings) all the food was very salty. The street tacos were soggy and fell apart, the chicken tacos in a hard shell had to be eaten with a knife and fork. Overall disappointing. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the service initially was reasonable, but once we were done eating it was very slow. I had to go and find the server to ask for the bill.

Nice, rustic atmosphere and lots of outdoor seating. The service was friendly and attentive. My companion had the steak and was satisfied. I had chicken with mole. That was good. However, I missed the typical sharpness. FYI, I know Mexican cuisine from MX and from Mexican friends. Maybe I'm a little spoiled. In general, I would go to El Taquito again and can recommend it to others.

Hi- We had the Fiesta Burrito for 2x29.80€ or ~60€. Meat was good. Guacamole was just avocado, no tomato and tasted slightly sour. I assume it wasn't homemade. Salad dressing on the iceberg lettuce was tasteless. No corn, no rice - I've eaten much better. Salsa was just salsa, you can't go wrong. Sorry not sorry: I personally find price/performance inadequate. 40€-45€ would be appropriate. My 2 cents.

Ambiance is typically Mexican, but a bit kitschy. We ordered fajitas and comal for two people. It was tasty and more than enough. Service was quick and friendly. There is also a play area for children and a large courtyard to sit outside in summer.

A super cute restaurant with very authentic dishes! We were there on a Saturday lunchtime and accidentally ended up during breakfast time, but since there were enough hearty breakfast alternatives, that wasn't a problem. We both enjoyed it, even though the portions were unfortunately too small for the price. If I had just ordered my portion, I would never have been really full. Otherwise, really highly recommended☺️

Hidden restaurant with quick service thanks to small electric aids. Priced slightly above average. A large menu and drinks menu so that everyone can find something. We would come again!

It used to be better when there was black bean soup or other specialists. Also miss the Inca wheel. But still tastes delicious.

El Taquito has been my favorite restaurant for over 30 years. Always delicious and the table in the play corner is ideal with small children.

Chimichanga and Tacos Mixta along with Enchilada Tricolores best dishes, but all dishes just great for years! Always happy to come back when you're in Karlsruhe :)

Very good Mexican with authentic Mexican cuisine. A little few (5+-) vegetarian dishes, but sufficient if you go there once a quarter like I do. Also has at least one (meat) dish with mole. Good selection of cocktails.

In winter, there are heated outdoor benches, which I think is a really great idea. On your birthday, you'll get a Mexican serenade, and the cocktails and food are also really delicious!

In the picture you can see the “Enchiladas Tricolores”, one of the most expensive dishes (€19.90) on the menu. Ordered because I was very hungry. I couldn't believe my eyes when the plate came: 2/3 of it was filled with cheap iceberg lettuce and the 3 enchiladas were crowded in the middle. No dips or side dishes included. The picture says more than 1000 words. Thanks to the nice waiter who reacted very professionally and brought me an extra bowl of rice on the house. Hence 5* for the service, but we won't be going there any time soon.

Good selection of food and drinks. Caipirinha was very tasty. I had 3 tacos mixta, it was very tasty and the side dishes were also very good. My companion had the enchiladas tricolores, which also tasted good but nothing special and the only salad on the side wasn't convincing. One would have liked more variation here. Service was good and arrived quickly. We liked the option to get the service with a dice. Only the waiting time for the food was too long, almost an hour, but the shop was well filled on Saturday evenings.

The tortilla soup was delicious, it's pretty close to authentic Mexican food.

Complaint about the unfriendly behavior of a waitress at Nordan Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to complain about the behavior of one of your employees. In a nearly empty restaurant with only a few customers, the waitress approached me in an unfriendly manner. She told me she "didn't have time" and that I needed to either speak on the phone or order immediately. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I hope you can clarify the situation to avoid future misunderstandings or inconveniences.

Fairly sure all the food was microwaved straight from the freezer. Very rude waitress. Couldn't wait to leave. Avoid!

The food is delicious, the portions are perfectly adequate, and the atmosphere is fun and playful. My Mexican partner actually really enjoyed it too. The quesadillas are very authentic. The only issue, in my opinion, is the price, which I think is a bit too high.

Germany's oldest Mexican restaurant. Mexican food is simply amazing, beautifully and authentically decorated. The only downside was the wait. We waited 40 minutes even though we were there on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't that busy. Prices are still reasonable. Just spent €100 for two. Well, we eat a lot, too. Update: I've now tried the burrito and the taco. Both were good. But a burrito with a bit of salad for €18??? Too expensive. Anyway, I had a voucher the second time. Thanks Dieter

Were there for the Christmas party with colleagues. Portions were larger than expected and we felt full, even if we didn't think so at first. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but now it's the same everywhere. The waiter was very friendly and even treated one of my colleagues to a cocktail on the house for a minor inconvenience. Great service! The food was a little too spicy for my taste but despite everything I would visit the restaurant again :)

A relatively large Mexican restaurant in downtown Karlsruhe. In our opinion, the furnishings are a bit kitschy and overloaded, but that is of course a matter of taste. Reception and service were very friendly and attentive, we didn't need the "service buttons" on the table, and the waitress always had our table in view. The food was good, but not above average, we've had better Mexican food. Price level is okay.

The best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. A large selection of dishes that are very tasty. I can recommend No. 69 (chicken burrito). The service is super nice and funny. There's no need to talk about the ambience - it's fantastic, breathtakingly furnished, relaxed and cozy.
