Highly recommended. The food always tastes delicious and the guests' wishes are taken into account. The staff gives you very friendly and competent advice on the dishes. It is a small but very cozy restaurant. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the volume when the restaurant is full. The Loakl definitely deserves five stars.

We have never experienced anything like this and tops every form of hospitality we have had so far. We arrived a little early (10 minutes) to make our reservation for 6 p.m. The restaurant doesn't open again until 6 p.m. The gentleman in service told us straight away that he still had something to prepare and assigned us to a table (a narrow and long table that was the only one of all that wasn't set). Overall, it was difficult for the two of them on the short sides of the table to converse. Our reservation had already been made some time ago, so we asked if it was still possible to go to another table, but was told no, we are fully booked. Okay, we were the first ones in the restaurant, but we accepted it that way. To order: I ordered a beer Moretti (according to the menu 0.2l from the barrel). The gentleman explained the dishes to us (including stuffed pastries with truffles, ricotta and porcini mushrooms). After my wife explicitly asked again about the porcini mushrooms, three out of four people at our table chose them. The drinks came. I received a 0.33l Moretti bottle. I questioned since it was supposed to be from the barrel. The gentleman countered that they hadn't had that for a long time and he wouldn't change the menu just for that. Sorry it's my first time here and I don't know my way around. Up until that moment there had already been some statements that questioned the owner's hospitality and that made us feel unwelcome. Later the pasta we ordered came, which tasted really good, but we couldn't recognize any porcini mushrooms. The demand for the porcini mushrooms initially escalated from the woman who served the dishes. “No, the dish does not contain porcini mushrooms”. We asked again and the woman simply walked away. A little later she came back from the kitchen and confirmed that the dish would definitely be without porcini mushrooms. But we countered that we had ordered it that way because it was explained to us (4 people). The gentleman (owner and waiter) heard this, whereupon he loudly denied that he had never said that and that we were imagining it. The way our simple question was met was abysmal. I mentioned that all four of us heard it. He called my statement “cheeky” for questioning him and that he should be the “idiot” now. I didn't want to discuss any further. Well, the food was tasty, but from now on we were no longer served. At some point he cleared the plates without comment, without asking whether it was tasty or whether we would like anything else. My beer had been empty for a long time. A short time later the “icing on the cake”: He came to our table and only mentioned to the couple who were friends with us what was there with us (they had been there several times before. We were there for the first time) that THEIR pasta would not be charged. Otherwise no comment/apology or anything like that. We later went to him at the counter to pay. The couple paid first, as I said without having to pay for the noodle (that wasn't our intuition when we questioned the porcini mushrooms). He apologized again and mentioned that the dish had probably had porcini mushrooms until the end, but he wasn't told that they were no longer included. Again, no comment/apology to me. I didn't want to say anything more and paid the sum (without a tip, which at least the chefs would have deserved). In summary: The restaurant serves delicious food, but the service, to put it mildly, leaves a lot to be desired. In our opinion you shouldn't behave like that towards your guests. For us it was the first and definitely last visit!

Main course: chicken skewers with salad. Unfortunately it didn't fill me up and I'm really a light eater. The salad was bland without dressing: A few green leaves, two raw slices of carrots and a piece of tomato, no bread with it. Others have already complained about this here. The chicken skewers were really thin, maybe 100g of chicken. The price (almost €17) is absolutely excessive. The place was full and the acoustics were terrible.

Super small cozy local eatery. Ate pizza and it had a delicious base, beautifully topped and very tasty. Among local residents, highly recommended! For two people, pizza dessert and drinks are 55 euros

Were there for the first time (Schlemmerblock) friendly welcome! The drinks took a little long, but not bad. The food was legga and hot! Price - performance is right. The boss then apologized with a small dessert because we had to wait a bit. Two conditions were canceled today! As a tip, I gave him the feedback to mention this right at the beginning, then the guests will know straight away! Otherwise recommended!

A great place to spend a good time in the middle of Würzburg. I was invited and was very positively touched as soon as I entered. The host family is very friendly, not intrusive and very attentive. The food platter is excellent, pizza and pasta are simply great. Price performance is fair, even cheap. Please make sure to make a reservation, it is very busy. My personal recommendation. Thanks to the team for a very nice evening
