MEDITERRANEO - Ristorante - Pizzeria in Würzburg

We couldn't have wished for better culinary accompaniment for our wedding than Baggio and his team at Mediterraneo! The restaurant was recommended to us as we're not from Würzburg – and we're so glad we followed this recommendation. Even during the planning phase, Baggio exuded an incredible sense of calm with his warm, confident manner. The coordination went smoothly and professionally – the menu he developed was exactly to our taste and was a hit with all of our guests. He and his team perfectly prepared and organized everything at our venue, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The quantities were also perfectly calculated – everyone was full and happy, and at the same time, there was hardly anything left over. It couldn't be better! During the celebration, we and our guests were cared for with so much love, attention, and professionalism – you could really feel how much heart and soul went into everything. Before and after the wedding, we also visited the Mediterraneo as a restaurant – a delight every time: excellent food, attentive service, a warm atmosphere. One thing is certain: Whenever we're in Würzburg, we'll always come back to Mediterraneo. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything!

I don't usually write a review after my first visit. I'd still like to explain why I won't be visiting this restaurant again... I called and asked for a table for myself. I was confirmed that there were only free tables inside (which wasn't a problem for me). When I arrived, I was told I could choose a table (everything inside was free). The only tables for two were either right next to the entrance or to the right in a dark corner. I chose the one next to it (a table for four). After 10 minutes, the waiter asked me if I needed a menu yet. After another 15 minutes, with repeated attempts at hand signals, I was able to place my drink order (I was asked if anyone else was coming). I said maybe a friend would be joining me later. Drinks arrived promptly and were ice-cold ♡ I placed my order for the starter, which was really good (Antipasti Mediteranneo) ☆☆☆ 40 minutes later, I would have liked to order my main course, but unfortunately, no waiter came by. I would have preferred more presence and attention to the customer. Now for the main course: Tagliatelle Truffle for a whopping €22.90 They were brought to me with the note (without cream). I didn't order it that way!!! I thought, okay, give it a try. Four finely shaved slices of truffle were on top of the pasta. The pasta was overcooked, dripping with oil... unfortunately, despite various hand signals, I couldn't get a waiter. I finished three-quarters of the portion and resigned myself to the lackluster service! It's a real shame! I've been working as a waiter in the restaurant industry for 23 years. Perhaps that's why I'm sometimes too meticulous. But the fact that a guest isn't approached by a waiter even once during a two-hour stay is absolutely unacceptable! I would have preferred a more positive assessment. There's definitely another Italian restaurant nearby where I personally find the service better and the food more flavorful. Furthermore, I honestly find it inappropriate to loudly disparagingly talk about guests behind the counter (even if in a different language). 1 star for the appetizer and the Hugo. The ambiance could be better; I had tablecloths with several holes in them. All in all, it's in the higher price range, which I can't understand.

We stopped by here again and were not disappointed! Perfect service, unobtrusive but very attentive, paired with delicious, authentic cuisine—that's how we love Mediterranean food! Great pasta, super tasty fish, and a good wine, all at fair prices—good food still exists in Germany! We thank you for the wonderful time and would love to return!

Honestly, I've never been here, but the three stinking trash cans always put me off completely. They should find another solution here. It really stinks like hell. You can even smell it from the trash cans across the street...

The food is always fabulous! They serve truly traditional Italian cuisine, with exceptionally fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The prices are a bit higher, but similar to other Italian restaurants in the city center. The seating is very nice, whether inside or outside, the service is good – the servers are always very friendly, and the owner is great. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

The most delicious veggie pizza I've ever eaten. Our dog was welcome. The staff was super friendly. I'd go back anytime!

Are always looking for good Italian restaurants....and were very lucky with Mediterraneo!!! Everything is just right...from the delicious food to the ambience and the great service from Beggi, Baggio, Ado and Willi!! We hope for warm and nice weather and look forward to further visits with you!!

We've eaten there several times. The food is also super delicious. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately the waiter was inattentive. It took far too long until we could order and there was no second drink

The pizza, tiramisu and wine were very tasty and good. Unfortunately, I found out that first-time visitors don't get pizza stick rolls and an espresso as a nice gesture towards local guests. It's a shame there are deductions for this difference. I would definitely have come back, but there is more in Würzburg. That's why I keep looking.

Today we had eaten there again for a long time. Unfortunately! Summary: Cream of asparagus soup for 9.50 euros, without asparagus. Very bland. No asparagus taste. Tagliatelle Tartufo for 22.90 euros was fine! Cod for 27.50 euros was almost inedible because of burnt butter and burnt potatoes. On previous visits we had a much better impression.

Was there a few months ago. Unfortunately, the soup was definitely a bit oversalted and not particularly imaginative. The rest was good, but nothing special.

Es riecht sehr lecker bei Eintritt. Der Service ist gut, mein Fisch war japanisch (roh). Das Stück wurde nachgebraten. War dann soweit okay. Die anderen am Tisch hatten andere Speisen und da gab es keine Reklamation. Grundsätzlich würde ich da wieder hin gehen, Fisch kommt dann nicht mehr auf den Tisch

Essen war geschmacklich okay. Jedoch mussten wir den Service ständig rufen obwohl nicht viel los war. Außerdem hatten wir im Tiramisu ein Stück Plastik! Eklig! Nach dem Mitteilen an den Service kam nur ein Sorry.

Ein Gefühl von Italien direkt vor der Türe. Hier fühlt man sich zu jeder Zeit willkommen. Das Auswahl an Essen ist reichhaltig, alles superlecker. Wer das Besondere mag, sollte hier essen gehen.

Sehr barsche Begrüßung und auch Bedienung. Unfreundliches Ambiente, als ob wir zu zweit nicht erwünscht wären. Resümee: Als Gast nicht willkommen. Schade: Die Pizzen und der Beilagensalat waren lecker.

Wir haben bei Mediterraneo Pizza bestellt. Der Laden ist sehr schön im italienischen Flair eingerichtet. Man kann wunderbar draußen sitzen. Die Pizza war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Sehr gute italienische Küche. Freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Service. Da gute Lokale immer auch gut besucht werden, sollte man/frau vorher reservieren. Um die Mittagszeit findest Du in der Regel aber meistens einen Platz.

Top location, top Service, fast familiär, essen ein Traum

Sehr lecker und man sitzt sowohl im Freien wie auch innen sehr schön. Freundlicher Service. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen.

Eines der besten Restaurants mit italienischer Küche. Es lohnt sich, nein, man/frau muss dort mindestens einmal gegessen haben. Reservieren wird empfohlen, denn dort wollen viele Menschen essen. Der Service ist gut, lange Wartezeiten gibt es nicht, das Ambiente ist freundlich und warm. Man/frau fühlt sich hier wohl.

Wir holen uns hier regelmäßig Pizza, weil diese unfassbar lecker schmeckt & sehr günstig ist. Wir zahlen für zwei Pizzen zum abholen immer 20€ & dürfen uns vor Ort noch Chilli & Knoblauch auf die Pizza tun. Der Boden ist nicht zu dick & auch nicht zu dünn, er ist perfekt! Noch dazu ist das Personal super freundlich.

Die Pilze der Antipasti waren verdorben, bereits schmierig. Einzige Reaktion war, dass man in der Küche Bescheid gebe. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Ersatz, nichts! Unglaublich!

Über das Essen gibt es nichts zu meckern,jedoch über einen überaus empathielosen Kellner,der meine 85 jährige Mutter tropfnass in der Türe hat stehen lassen,ohne ein nettes Wort,sondern uns dann trotz Reservierung unfreundlich einen Tisch mit Fingerzeig zugewiesen hat.Auch sonst hatte man das Gefühl,als gut zahlender Gast ( mit immerhin 5 Personen) zu stören.Nie wieder.

Il ristorante non risponde alle aspettative di chi si aspetta di mangiare italiano. Gusti mediocri e porzioni piccole. Tra l'altro il personale è gentile e disponibile ma non italiano.

Very nice tasty dishes. It is not so difficult to find average or below average and expensive italian restaurants in Germany. This one was a positive surprise with excellent food. The service was very polite, we got also takeaway and the price was fine, it was worth the quality and the service. Portions are neither undersized nor oversized. Two types of fresh and warm home made bread rolls as a courtesy of the house on every table. The location is good but not in the middle of the city, but there are free parking places in front of the restaurant available.

One of our party was suffering from back pain and needed to leave. We had to ask 3 times for the dessert menu and 4 times for the bill. The waiter had the nerve to bring the bill with attitude.

Haben jetzt zum zweiten mal Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt. Haben angerufen und die Pizza war innerhalb von 10-15 Minuten fertig. Die Pizza schmeckt sehr gut! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Die Preise für das Essen sind auch völlig Human! 20€ für zwei Pizzen zum mitnehmen, top!

Hier liegt die Eisdiele Tür an Tür zum Restaurant. Sehr gute, italienische Küche. Es gibt hausgemachte Nudeln, super leckere Vorspeisen, Salate, Pasta, Pizza, Fischgerichte, Fleischgerichte... und Trombinis, die sind ein Traum. Als Nachspeise empfehle ich ein cremiges Eis aus der Eisdiele - alle Sorten sind sehr gut! Das Personal ist freundlich, immer gut drauf, Getränke und Speisen werden ohne lange Wartezeit serviert. Man sitzt im Sommer unter schattenspendenden Bäumen und im Winter im gemütlichen Restaurant. Typisch italienisch 😀

Wir sind Stammgäste. Kamen am 03.05.23 gegen 20 Uhr ins Lokal. Waren nur wenige Tische besetzt. Der Kellner war recht lustlos und stand immer an der Tür und schaute raus. Service insgesamt war aber okay. Jeder Tisch bekam nach dem Bezahlen einen Grappa oder Limocelo angeboten. Wir nicht?!? Ich finde, endweder alle oder keiner. Es macht sich nicht so gut, wenn der Chef neben uns an der Theke mit anderen Gästen Gratisrunden macht. Wir haben unseren Grappa daheim getrunken.
