Pasta e Olio in Würzburg

Wow, just wow. For me, the best snack bar in town! If you're expecting a restaurant and prices like these, you're in the wrong place 😅 Perfect for a quick lunch or after work. I especially recommend the freshly baked (create-your-own) pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as the daily specials. I enjoy eating here several times a week.

The food is good, the atmosphere is OK. We were there again yesterday. The pizza is very good, but the whole place is very disorganized. The fact that you can watch the cooking unfortunately didn't make it any better. No aprons, very messy, the pizza chef rubbed his hands over the raw pizza, which probably adds extra flavor, although this sloppy work is just one example. A hygiene training or refresher course would be a good idea. An apron and towel too. I won't go here anymore, even if the taste was okay. The pizza was €13-14, which is higher than the usual prices here.

It was fun eating here. The salad with grilled vegetables was fresh and had a delicious dressing. The pizza bread was also great. The pizza had a great crust and was baked crispy, and the crust itself was very tasty. I'd say that like the wine on the old Main Bridge, pasta e olio is part of Würzburg. We also liked the interior. Very cozy.

Always good. It's our regular spot for a quick and tasty snack.

For me, pizza was just tortilla with sauce and cheese, and lasagna simply had no taste and was too watery.

The worst lasagna bolognesa I've ever tried. Not italian at all! It comes directly from a chafing dish, served like a cake. There is no meat inside, it is dry around and raw inside and on top a cheap sauce, and rubbery texture. After that you pick up your own cutlery which is not clean at all. One star is too generous.

Cobwebs, tangled cables, dust, and dirt. No one has cleaned it in a long time.

We went to Pasta e Olio for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately, according to the staff member, our reservation was lost, so we had to sit outside, which wasn't exactly pleasant in the 12°C heat. The food was good, and the ambiance with the fairy lights was lovely. The staff were all friendly, even if it seemed a bit chaotic at times. We'd love to come back again, but this time we'd rather go for lunch.

Very tasty pasta dishes and pizzas.

Pasta e Olio made pizza and tarte flambée for our wedding's champagne reception, and we were absolutely thrilled! Many guests said it was the best tarte flambée they'd ever eaten! The pre-arrangement was quick and easy. Giacomo had great ideas for the toppings. He and his team were always cheerful and friendly! They arrived with their Ape, perfectly organized, and did a fantastic job. Everyone was thrilled. We can wholeheartedly recommend Pasta e Olio and would eat there again anytime! Thank you so much, dear Giacomo, for spoiling us with culinary delights at our wedding!

Delicious pizza, including various vegetarian options. The service was very friendly, and we were able to get something to eat even late at night.

Super friendly staff, but the noodles were unfortunately tasteless and mushy.

Has the owner changed? I've never waited so long for my pizza margarita (30 minutes), even though there were three people in the kitchen and only six people sitting on the terrace, plus the waitress. The dough was too thick, and the flavor was different and bland than usual. Hopefully, this was an exception at my favorite Italian restaurant; if so, I'll gladly revise my review. Update: According to the waitress, nothing will change. So, I'm switching to La Candele around the corner. Pizza is €7 and tastes better. The boss at Pasta&Olio apparently no longer needs to take criticism from long-time customers seriously. What a shame! Money corrupts character!

Delicious food in the heart of the city! 👍🏽 Fair prices and a great concept!

horrible food…this is really not italian it s some germanized italian food. i had lasagna. 12 € FOR A SMALL LASAGNA?? and it came with bread - how to call yourself italian restaurant??…not a happy experience.

We had a mixed pasta platter (3 varieties) for about €14 and a pizza for about €14. The chanterelle mushroom sauce was tasteless, the beef sauce only had one piece of beef, and the pasta with the arrabiata sauce, which was tasty, was still rock hard. The pizza dough also didn't suit our taste. The white wine was served without ice cubes, despite the outside temperature being 32 degrees Celsius. We had to ask for more drinks, and the restroom was awful. The only thing that was friendly was the service. Not recommended.

The service is an absolute disgrace—unfriendly, half the staff are missing, they're not helpful at all, and they don't even answer questions. As a customer, you feel unwelcome.

Pizza prices are non-transparent! Only the base price is fixed. The other ingredients cost *different amounts*, which unfortunately isn't broken down anywhere... You only realize this at the checkout. Except that the receipt doesn't even list the ingredients, so the impression of price gouging unfortunately remains... Tastes "quite nice." But the tomato sauce is polarizing. - Probably 'authentic Italian,' but it's not for my taste 🫣 That also applied to the lasagna. Aromatic cheese, herbs, garlic, onions, etc. So I'm missing quite a few things... 😔 What a shame!

Great pizza, friendly staff, good prices.

A very friendly lady takes orders quickly. You get a relatively large pizza and a Fritz Cola for €13.00. Admittedly, the pizza doesn't look large, but it's very filling. The pizza bread tastes very fresh and comforting. The delicious tomato sauce is very present. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy a really good pizza here again!

It's not their core competency, but: we were at the Wein am Stein festival, and Pasta e Olio catered the event. The frozen tarte flambée from Edeka is far better for a third of the price!! The highlight, however, was the ice cream! It had nothing to do with ice cream at all—the strawberry ice cream was way too watery. You could actually see the water crystals on the ice cream! And then, €2.50 per scoop. I realize that things can get expensive at a festival like this (and they should be!), but please, make sure the quality matches the price. 1/5 stars!

Pasta e Olio made our event an unforgettable experience! The catering was simply outstanding – the pasta was fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The service was professional and friendly, and the entire process ran smoothly. Our guests were thrilled, and we will definitely order from Pasta e Olio again. We highly recommend it!

Italian fast food! It's OK for a little hunger or when you're in a hurry.

We really liked the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. There are weekly specials. You can choose your own pizza toppings. It's self-service.

I understand that you can't expect a full meal when picking up via TooGoodToGo...but that was really a joke this time. Even the price is outrageous 🙈

The pasta was okay, but the pizza was incredibly good. I've eaten a lot of pizzas, but this one was truly over the top. Nice thin crust, crispy, and incredibly delicious. It's rare to find such a good pizza anywhere. Truly amazing and definitely worth the money. You should advertise this amazing pizza much more than the pasta...

The half-Japanese waiter answered my questions with a very kind smile. As a solo traveller, it had been a long time since I last had such a conversation, so I was especially happy. The pasta was delicious, too.

Fast, friendly and delicious food.

Highly recommended. The food was delicious. Homemade pasta. Homemade sauces. A very interesting menu. Super fast and attentive service. Very well located and very reasonable and attractive prices, especially considering the quality of the products and their homemade preparation.

Pasta e Olio catered a wedding. Unfortunately, the food wasn't warm enough. We found that very unfortunate.

The food is super delicious, but unfortunately it has become very expensive!

The beer was warm, the lasagna was just pasta sheets with sauce poured over them afterward. Our highlight: we ordered pizza with buffalo mozzarella, and when served, it was casually mentioned that the buffalo mozzarella was out. We had already paid for everything, but nothing was subsequently credited. All in all, a disaster.

We had pasta and pizza. The pizza was tasteless and not at all satisfactory, the worst pizza I have ever eaten in Germany. The pasta tasted like it had been thawed and more like a ready meal, the noodles were very soft. The tables outside are sticky and dirty. In the 35 minutes we were there, the tables weren't even wiped or the floor was cleared of the napkins that were lying everywhere. In general, the staff seemed overwhelmed. I would definitely move on and eat somewhere else.

Food was OK but not really good. You are only allowed to stay at the table if you pay €2 more per dish and constructive criticism is not accepted. Unfortunately I won't eat there as often anymore

12 euros for a small portion? Moreover the pasts was mediocre and their sauce combo tasted terrible. Cannot recommend. The lady at cashier also doesn’t know what vegan is, which is consenting. We asked if Arrabiatta is vegan and only one cook knew and kinda nodded. Not reassuring. The toilet doesn’t have neither lock nor Papier.

It tastes so good and the waitresses are so incredibly nice!

We've been there a few times and have always been very impressed with the pizza. Now we were there for the first time since the new service concept and were totally disappointed. The service was very slow and uncertain, we waited 10 minutes for the cards even though there was hardly anything going on and we waited another hour for the food.. The pizza dough was extremely thick, which made the pizza visually very small and the dough didn't come through in all places. On the salami pizza there were pieces that were 2 cm thick and on the pizza with artichokes there were only 3 wafer-thin artichoke snippets. I am very disappointed with the service concept and will only order something to go.

Another time we wanted to eat pizza, according to the internet it was open. But no one there on site. It's a shame because the food was actually good and the prices were great

Ate it for the first time as a Würzburger at Pasta e Olio. Outside we received very friendly and great advice. There's even something on the menu for vegans. We ordered 2x pasta arrabiata small portion. Perfect in terms of price and quantity. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed: not al dente but soft like porridge and we have always known a spicy tomato sauce with small pieces of tomatoes, a little garlic, chilli, pureed tomatoes and not as a light red or orange almost solid sauce in which the pasta was briefly dipped. The ambience inside is not particularly, very narrow, but the food was more important to us. Sorry, that's not for us.

2019: very inexpensive, fresh and with a lot of love. gladly again. 2025: The store has really developed very positively in recent years and the business has expanded significantly, unfortunately the prices have risen extremely over the last few years.

Delicious pizza. Quality for money.

I have already ordered twice from Pasta e Olio via TooGoodToGo and have been very disappointed each time. Unfortunately, the noodles weren't tasty at all - they didn't look appetizing and just didn't taste good. Yesterday I decided to visit the restaurant again in person to see how fresh the food was on site. I ordered a pizza that tasted quite good. Unfortunately, there are also points here that I didn't find so great. When I finished eating, I saw that the ceiling was full of cobwebs... and the staff or chefs didn't wear gloves, which I honestly don't find very hygienic. You never know what the chefs have done before, especially when I saw that a chef went outside and only came back in after 5 minutes. Even when I left, another employee had gone outside. Even though the restaurant is well furnished for its purposes, I think there are definitely a few things that could be improved. But I think the concept itself is good.

I found the people really nice and, above all, attentive. I would come back for that alone and for the great price. Unfortunately, the door doesn't have a handle from the outside and therefore it doesn't close and it's relatively cool. Otherwise the lasagna was a bit overcooked or very soft. Nevertheless, I would probably come back, but then more for pizza.

The food itself is okay. We got it from TooGooToGo and unfortunately the portion is really small. The employees also seemed more annoyed or disappointed when I said I ordered about it. I always go to the stores with low expectations because the basic principle is that you can get the “leftovers” cheaply and on the other hand you can try out new stores. But I think you should at least give the value that you specify and not just half. (It was definitely enough, but that wasn't the problem) The taste was good for a quick lunch

Expensive and not hospitable, the restaurant concept should be reconsidered. Noodles were hard and the portion was small, unfortunately not acceptable for €13. It felt like 5 degrees in the restaurant and the door kept opening and not being closed.

Pasta lukewarm to cold and not cooked through. When you cut it open you could still see the white, hard dough. The sauce tasted like a pureed ready-made sauce. The door was always left open at -6 degrees, so we were freezing inside wearing thick sweaters and had to get up four times during dinner to close the door. Window is constantly open for street sales. Toilets dirty. And on top of that, small portions and expensive prices.

We were a little cold. But the food made up for it.

Excellent pizza and pasta. Pasta dishes are large, good to share. Pizza has fresh ingredients. Service was excellent as well. It’s a small locale but could fit all eight of us in a large table. Was also open on Sunday!

Super accommodating and friendly staff, food was prepared very quickly and tasted as original as in Italy (no joke). Health-conscious guests will also get their money's worth here with the spelled pizza, among other things. I can heartily recommend a visit or an order!

Food was good. The interior was uncomfortable because the door was constantly open at 0 degrees. Apparently to lure outsiders in. Pretty cold despite lots of people. Tables are set up in such a way that if you have to go to the bathroom you have to ask people to get up and make room. Toilet was not very appealing. No toilet paper. Conclusion: Good value for money for a quick lunch break.

We really enjoyed the pizzas, but my recommendation would be to order and not eat there! It was very cold and drafty and the overall atmosphere wasn't particularly comfortable. We also had to wait a very long time for our food. Unfortunately there were none of the extra cheese options (e.g. buffalo mozzarella), which I was told after a few minutes.
