Sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Das Essen war schlecht zubereitet, das Geschirr war schmutzig und das Personal unfreundlich. Außerdem wurde mir das Wechselgeld falsch herausgegeben. Insgesamt macht der Laden einen unseriösen Eindruck. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Herzlichen Dank, dass wir während des Katholikentages bei Euch jeden Abend so freundlich aufgenommen worden sind. Spitze Essen, super Service. Wir haben uns bei euch zuhause gefühlt. Ihr ward unsere Rast nach anstrengenden Tagen! Dafür DANKE an das ganze Team!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder!!! ♥️❤️♥️🙏

Hervorragende Küche und ein schöner Aussenbereich. Wir hatten zweimal Büffelmozzarella und jeweils ein Rumpsteak medium mit Gorgonzola& Grillgemüse bzw. ein Rumpsteak rare ohne Beilagen- beide perfekt auf den Punkt, ohne Rauchsalz oder sonstige Zartmacher. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Leckeres Essen, charmanter Service, faire Preise. Da komme ich gerne wieder.

Wir sind hier zufällig gelandet, weil das Lokal schon geöffnet hatte und haben sehr gut zu Abend gegessen. Wir haben uns rundum Wohl gefühlt.

Ich habe hhier die beste Bruschetta gegessen, die ich kenne. Die anderen Gerichte waren auch einfach nur wunderbar. Hier kommen wir jetzt öfter her!

Hier speist man in einem tollen, gemütlichen Ambiente. Der Service ist herausragend und die Speisen sind wohlschmeckend!

Wir nehmen, was auf ihrer Website veröffentlicht ist, aber Vorsicht: Die Preise haben sich verdoppelt. Verschwenden Sie nicht Ihre Zeit. Wir sind zwei Stunden gefahren, nachdem wir ein schönes Essen am Wochenende geplant hatten – was für eine Schande!

Wir waren heute zum Geburtstag meiner Frau hier. Das Ambiente ist toll und das Essen war absolute Spitzenklasse – wirklich sehr schmackhaft! Der Service war gut, könnte aber noch einen Tick freundlicher sein. Ein wichtiger Hinweis an die Inhaber: Bitte bringen Sie die Preise auf Ihrer Website auf den neuesten Stand. Wir haben uns bei der Auswahl darauf verlassen, aber vor Ort waren die Preise anders. Das sollte korrigiert werden. Fazit: 4 von 5 Sternen."

Die Preise sind angemessen, aber das Essen ist nicht das Beste. Die Carbonara war geschmacklos und triefte vor Öl.

​Absolut enttäuschend und unhygienisch ​Ich habe ein schmutziges Glas mit Lippenstiftresten erhalten. Anstatt sich zu entschuldigen, wurde der Inhalt vor meinen Augen einfach in ein neues Glas umgefüllt. Auf meine Beschwerde über dieses unhöfliche und unprofessionelle Verhalten wurde überhaupt nicht eingegangen. So ein Umgang mit Gästen ist inakzeptabel. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Wir sind ungefähr einmal pro Woche hier – manchmal sogar öfter – und kommen jedes Mal sehr gerne. Der Service ist durchweg super: freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Das Essen ist stets sehr gut zubereitet, frisch und geschmacklich auf hohem Niveau. Auch das Ambiente überzeugt: angenehm, stimmig und zum Wohlfühlen. Insgesamt passt hier einfach alles. Klare Empfehlung!

Tolles Ambiente, super Service und natürlich italienisches Essen!

Sehr gutes italienisches Essen, frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich absolut überzeugend. Der Service ist landestypisch herzlich, humorvoll und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich direkt willkommen 😊. Die Lage ist zentral und sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit dem ÖPNV sehr gut erreichbar. Die Preise sind für diese Lage in Würzburg absolut angemessen und fair. Das Ambiente ist angenehm und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Besonders schön ist der Außenbereich in der warmen Jahreszeit: große Laubbäume spenden Schatten und sorgen für eine entspannte Atmosphäre 🌳🍝. Insgesamt ein Ort, an den man sehr gerne zurückkommt.

A very good pizzeria, not far from Würzburg's old town. We went there relatively spontaneously and were lucky to get a table. For a Monday evening, the restaurant was quite busy. The pizza was delicious and generously topped. The wait time was short, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive. I can wholeheartedly recommend this pizzeria.

A very mixed impression. It started well, but the service was very reserved. The appetizers, bruschetta, and tuna carpaccio were good. The main course was extremely bland. The piccata Milanese was a thin, lightly breaded schnitzel. There was no trace of the cheese and egg coating that usually defines this dish. The response to my complaint was that I should have asked how it was prepared beforehand! After that, the service practically stopped, and we were only served after frantically waving. All in all, very questionable behavior. No sign of Italian hospitality. A real shame.

We'd gladly come back again. We were a group of 10 women in Würzburg and chose Gallo Nero because of its proximity to our hotel and the positive reviews. Making the reservation was easy and reliable, and even the last-minute change – reducing the number of people by three on the same day – was completely hassle-free. Unfortunately, special requests regarding substituting side dishes weren't possible (I would have preferred fries and salad instead of vegetables and fried potatoes), but I didn't regret it. Both the vegetables and the fried potatoes were cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. The meat was incredibly tender. We actually ordered 10 different dishes: pizza, pasta, pork medallions, and salads, as well as appetizers and tiramisu. In the end, everyone was thrilled. Both the taste and the presentation of the food left nothing to be desired. All dishes were served simultaneously. We received excellent wine recommendations, and the wine list was well-curated. All the staff were friendly and competent, and they speak both German and Italian. ... Cash and card payments are accepted. The restrooms are clean. Parking is available on the street or in the parking garage just a few meters away.

A little gem you just have to find... All I'm saying is: - Good olive oil - Homemade fluffy pizza and bread dough - Truffle sauce without cream! Just with delicious butter and oil - the way it should be! - Fair prices - Pizza that won't leave you feeling overeaten! Try it yourself...

The food was very good, and the other participants enjoyed it immensely. The service was also very good. They were friendly, prompt, and courteous, and, most importantly, not at all pushy. We would be happy to come again. All the best.

A good selection of dishes, high-quality, very tasty, beautifully presented... everything was just right. (We were unlucky with a very loud, "kicking" group of women at the next table. 🙉)

Swift service and a good menu, the food tasted good and came quite fast

Located between the theater and Berliner Ring, and thus somewhat off the beaten track of tourist hotspots, the Gallo Nero offers excellent value for money, perhaps precisely because of this. Within walking distance of our office, we often use it for business lunches with business partners. Everyone, without exception, was full of praise for the food and service. But this restaurant also invites you to linger after work – in summer, you can enjoy the terrace under the awning.

The food was delicious, everything fresh and hot. The starter came with free trombini. We were also given a free limoncello to finish. I thought that was great... The ambiance inside is very nice, with cozy decor. The outdoor seating is right on a busy street. The service could be improved. The server was unfriendly and unemotional. No one even bothered to check on us afterward. Perhaps he was having a bad day. We'll visit again sometime and see if the service improves.

Friendly service, authentic Italian cuisine

Excellent food. Truly superbly cooked. The service is difficult. There's not enough attention to the guests, and the restaurant isn't busy enough. Then the main courses were served together with the appetizer, so one of our table members had to eat the main course alone. That's not good. Furthermore, I would like to see a carafe of tap water offered. This is common practice in many places these days.

A fantastic restaurant, everyone should get their money's worth and be satisfied here. Personally, I've always walked in with a good feeling and left with a full stomach and a clear conscience.

I used to come here quite often, and I'm shocked at the sadness and listlessness with which I'm served. The food is good, but it wasn't anything special. It's a shame, actually, because I remembered it as good.

You can forget about such an unfriendly good night!!!!!!

We celebrated my sister-in-law's 40th birthday there. The table was reserved for 20 people, but we only had room for 15. No one made any effort to ensure that the other 5 people could sit with us. They had to go to another table, which was a shame. The waiter was also unfriendly; he never smiled at us and didn't even look at us when he took our orders. He just didn't seem to be in the mood. All the glasses on the table were empty, and there was never a single question about whether we wanted something to drink. We were generally ignored after the food was served, so we couldn't order anything ourselves. When the plates were cleared, we had to hand them to the waiter ourselves. He waited with his hand in the air until we handed them to him. We were also not asked if we wanted an espresso or anything else. There were 20 of us!! There were also small children there, some who needed to use high chairs. These had been requested when we made the reservation, but we didn't get one. The child's mother then had to carry it back and forth herself upon request. Very rude. The food was delicious and everyone's food looked very good. It's a shame that we didn't get any attention or weren't served. A real shame. We don't need any more.

It was nice, but the tomato salad was made with cheap tomatoes that didn't taste good. The same soup tasted different.

Ordered here for the first and last time. Delivery time stated between 25-45 minutes, after 1 1/2 hours the food arrived. Ordered bruschetta with tuna and got 3 pieces of pizza bread with tuna paste carelessly slapped on top. I also ordered a Gallo Nero pizza, the consistency of the parmesan was something like the cheese on a casserole that you left in the oven for 3 days, the rocket felt like it was rotten and the eggplant didn't taste like anything. Absolute failure.

Had lunch today. Venetian style veal liver and mussels. Simply very, very tasty. Staff courteous and friendly. Regardless of whether it's fish, meat, pasta. People simply enjoy eating here.

As soon as you enter, you feel like you are in an authentic trattoria - a warm welcome, a cozy atmosphere and a menu that promises real dolce vita. The food was simply outstanding! I had a whole grilled fish – pesce alla griglia – which was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside and full of flavor. My family's dishes were also delicious and freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients. The service was excellent - attentive, friendly and with true Italian hospitality. You can tell that people cook and serve here with passion. An all-round successful evening – Gallo Nero è un vero gioiello! We'll definitely be back! Grazie mille e a presto!

A great place to spend a good time in the middle of Würzburg. I was invited and was very positively touched as soon as I entered. The host family is very friendly, not intrusive and very attentive. The food platter is excellent, pizza and pasta are simply great. Price performance is fair, even cheap. Please make sure to make a reservation, it is very busy. My personal recommendation. Thanks to the team for a very nice evening

Food was good, but we had reserved a table for Friday evening, which the restaurant said wasn't a problem. When we arrived (because nothing was available) we were put in the adjacent breakfast room of the Hotel Amberger and had to eat there. Instead of candlelight, we ate next to boxes of cereal in a brightly lit room.

I really never eat in Italian restaurants, but this is the exception. Very nice restaurant with good food.

Tasteless, pizza not cooked through, lasagna very small and almost no meat. Mediocre at best

The food is very good and, above all, the staff is friendly. I also think the prices are okay.

The calzone was warm and tasted average. It was partly too dark at the bottom, which then had a negative effect on the taste. The tiramisu was good and visually beautifully presented. The rest of our group enjoyed the food, so all in all I give it a 4/5. The staff is friendly, attentive and on the ball, so I give the service 5/5. The restaurant is nicely furnished and appropriately decorated. The only thing I would like to complain about here is the sharpness of the knife. The knives are not really suitable, at least for cutting pizza. With luck you can get a parking space on the side streets, although there is a parking garage almost next door where you can get a parking space relatively safely and don't have to walk far. Update 10/2024: only 3 stars. The quality and service have decreased significantly compared to the previous two years. The rump steak with gorgonzola crust was not tender and I wouldn't order it a second time. The tiramisu was prepared much more lovingly last year and I also remember it tasting better. It's a shame, but we'll definitely come back again.

We ate there twice during a trip to Würzburg and were very satisfied. Rarely have I had such good and "rich" Spaghetti Frutti di mare. It's better to make a reservation on the weekend.

We were very disappointed and had to wait almost an hour for our food. Other guests arrived after us and received their food much earlier. The waiter rarely came and asked questions. There was also no bread beforehand, as is actually usual for a good Italian. We were very disappointed. And after asking, the food comes in 2 minutes, then another 1/4 hour passed. It wasn't an exceptional meal, salad, pizza, nocci and pasta. The food was tasty but everything was underneath... There was no tablecloth outside and no candlelight. Everything was there inside. Not recommended, even though it was very busy

We actually went to Gallo Nero because the Italian places we knew were all still closed at 5:00 p.m. and found that the pizza and dessert were very tasty and the service was what we wanted. Not intrusive but always present. Simply a great restaurant - we felt very comfortable. The prices are adjusted like everywhere else. I'll go to this Italian restaurant again.

Wir waren zu zweit auf Geschäftsreise und hatten Lust auf italienisches Essen. Gallo Nero war in der Nähe ... ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch bekommen. Mein Kollege wollte eigentlich eine Lasagne - ist dann allerdings (gemeinsam mit mir) zur Pizza Diavolo umgeschwenkt. Eine echt leckere Pizza hat uns nach kurzer Wartezeit am Tisch besucht. Und die war wirklich lecker - und ein wenig ungewöhnlich. Der Teig war noch mit Semola, was ich sehr mag. Ich bin kein Freund der ultradünnen Böden ... und fühlte mich genau richtig. Insgesamt also beide Daumen hoch für Gallo Nero - obwohl wir nur die Pizza gekostet haben. Preis/Leistung in jedem Fall top.

A very cozy restaurant, with excellent service and excellent food! We didn't have a reservation and ended up stranded there in the pouring rain :-) We were lucky and were allowed to sit down! I had gnocchi from the daily menu with cheese and rocket with sage butter. So fine and delicious! The portion was just right, although a man would certainly have ordered more 😄 Before the meal, pizza bread sticks were served, which were very well seasoned. And we enjoyed it very much! Prices are definitely reasonable. My sister had a salami pizza and was also very satisfied. Thank you for letting us be your guests!

Essen war sehr gut. Nur mussten wir 1 1/4 Std. auf das Hauptgericht warten. Dawir anschließend ins Theater wollten mussten wir uns mit dem Essen sehr beeilen, was ich sehr Schade fand. Für ein alkoholfreies Flaschen-Bier wurden da 5 € berechnet ( das es auf der Karte nicht gab).
