Simply beautiful hotel with recently renovated rooms run at the highest level of service by a local couple. The breakfast is A-mazing! A must visit if you are driving through Germany and well worth a detour.

Enjoyable moments in the Löwen Restaurant – down-to-earth cuisine with sophistication A visit to the Restaurant Löwen in Wiblingen/Ulm promises a successful combination of a cozy country inn atmosphere and cuisine that impresses with quality and taste. Our evening there was thoroughly enjoyable - the food was excellent and the service was warm and attentive. A successful start As a starter we chose a wild garlic cream soup with prawn ravioli - wonderfully creamy with a delicate spice. The Maultaschen provided a special touch and fit in perfectly in terms of taste. Main dishes with character Meat lovers were clearly the focus of the main courses. The grilled ribeye steak with chimichurri on parsnip puree was perfectly cooked, and the chimichurri as a fresh topping rounded off the steak's excellent taste. The “Allgäuer-Färse” pepper steak also impressed with its strong taste and perfect degree of doneness. What was particularly positive was that, upon request, triplet potatoes were served instead of the French fries provided - a service that we really appreciated. Sweet ending – classic and tasteful For dessert there were two delicious classics: the traditional apple cake with vanilla ice cream - fluffy, aromatic and with a subtle cinnamon note - and the trilogy of chocolate with orange, which impressed with intense chocolate nuances and fruity freshness. Matching drinks & attentive service The main courses were accompanied by a well-balanced selection of white and red wine, which rounded off the enjoyment perfectly. For dessert, a latte macchiato and a cappuccino ensured a successful conclusion. Conclusion The Löwen restaurant in Wiblingen offers down-to-earth but refined cuisine in a cozy country inn atmosphere. The quality of the food, the friendly service and the flexibility for special requests make the visit highly recommended. -----------+ Update from May 3rd, 2025 We spontaneously decided to go out for dinner and chose the lion again 🦁. This time a highlight is the lion plate with all the Swabian delicacies you could want for two people. From roast roast to schnitzel and sirloin to cheese spaetzle. Everything included. Enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back. 😉

quiet rooms, delicious food and friendly staff

Our accommodation was exceptionally nice and quiet. We had a room with a beautiful view over the forest and the farm. The breakfast was fresh and healthy with many different options. Dinner was incredibly delicious, especially the apple fritters. A really good hotel that I would definitely recommend.

Years of constant construction work, the former star temple has now been deflated and permanently closed.

A bit far from the center, but it makes up for it in the peace and quiet and parking. Excellent service.

Beautiful country inn in a great location. The room was clean and everything you needed was there. The breakfast was very good, great selection, very good quality and nothing was left to be desired. I was impressed with the breakfast, that alone is worth 5 stars. Overall everyone there was very friendly. The tiny minus is that the street was somehow louder than I expected. But I still slept well. I can really recommend the country inn.

We haven't had such great accommodation for a long time. Great service, great, very friendly staff. Beautiful tastefully decorated clean rooms. We had a very good breakfast and ate very well in the restaurant and, above all, the friendliness in all areas was impressive. Simply pure relaxation

Unfortunately I wasn't able to see much of it as I only had one overnight stay.

Unfortunately very disappointing - misleading information and not a 4-star standard I booked a weekend at the Seehotel Litz with a colleague - partly because of the promising photos and reviews for breakfast, which, according to Booking.com, is offered in the hotel itself for €14 to €15 per day. The big disappointment on site: Breakfast **doesn't** take place in the hotel, but in a neighboring hotel about 100 meters away - and costs **€29 per person**. That's more than double the announced price. The lady at the reception confirmed to us that the price on Booking.com was correct, but that they could not offer breakfast themselves due to staff problems. Absolutely unacceptable for the guest! So please don't let the "wonderful breakfast" in the photos blind you** - that simply doesn't exist here in the house. Especially not for €15 per person. The communication in advance was also completely transparent. In addition, this hotel **no longer has a real four stars** - when we asked, the receptionist told us that the stars had been given up, which apparently means: currently no official 4-star status. Absolutely disappointing for the price. We would have liked more honesty and transparency. Unfortunately not recommended.

We have been regular customers for years, always book from one year to the next, really nice staff. Standing here today. The hotel is closed! Unbearable! Without any information to us, we are now on the street, thank you very much...
