Löwe in Ulm

We had our wedding lunch, coffee, and cake here in November and can only offer our heartfelt thanks. The service was exceptionally kind, attentive, and warm. As the bride—and pregnant, no less—I was even offered non-alcoholic sparkling wine at the reception without even asking, which I was very happy about and certainly not something you can take for granted. The food was delicious and prepared with care. We would especially like to highlight the great flexibility: When we had to go for a photo shoot and the main lunch was being served, our food, as well as the photographer's, was kept warm without any problems and later served fresh and hot again—simply wonderful and very thoughtful. Everything was also perfectly organized. We unexpectedly had four more guests than planned, which wasn't a problem at all: An additional table and the missing chairs were immediately provided. Our decorations were arranged exactly as we had requested. The price was absolutely fair and reasonable, and we—just like our guests—felt completely comfortable and very well looked after. The food was absolutely fair and reasonable. Thank you so much for making such an important day so relaxed, warm, and perfect for us. Highly recommended!

My cousin got married here! Everything was nice and close together, and the restrooms were very clean. We did have to wait a bit longer (about 30-45 minutes) for our room, but it wasn't a big deal.

A perfectly run family business! Everything has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard. We spent two nights there and also had dinner there in the evening (make a reservation!). Great service, great food selection, excellent quality! The breakfast was simply perfect, with something for everyone. You can also order fried eggs, scrambled eggs, or a cheese omelet. The room was very clean and also very well-equipped. For us personally, the only two minor negatives were: the mattresses were a bit too soft (we didn't get a very restful night's sleep) and the TV could have been mounted higher on the wall (if you want to watch from the bed, the position isn't as relaxing). Bus stops are a 2-3 minute walk away, and the bus takes you to the center of Ulm in about 15-20 minutes.

Excellent quality Fast service Friendly service

I stayed in a double room for three nights and highly recommend the hotel. The beds are very good! Although I have health problems with my joints and back (which is why I often struggle with bad hotel beds), I slept very well and woke up without any pain. I arrived by car and bicycle. There are plenty of parking spaces directly at the hotel. I was able to park my bike safely and dryly in a garage. There were also outlets for charging e-bikes. I was in Ulm by bike (e-bike) in 10-15 minutes. There's also a bus stop directly across the street, but I didn't use it. The breakfast was also very tasty and varied. Overall, very good value for money, all the staff were very friendly, and everything was very clean.

Easily accessible hotel. We were on our way to Italy. We received a warm welcome, and the crib was already waiting for us in the room. The rooms were very clean, which was great. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices and excellent service. You can also eat in the hotel restaurant; we found the dishes a bit salty (especially the fries). But we definitely recommend staying here.

We had lunch with our family in the adjoining room at the Löwen after our civil wedding. We can only praise the restaurant and the hotel highly in every way. The organization beforehand was completely uncomplicated, and any further questions or special requests were always dealt with super quickly. The food was, as usual, outstanding. The service from everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, even to the children playing. Our overnight guests also praised the rooms, the service, and the breakfast. And all of this for a very fair price-performance ratio. Many thanks to the entire team for making our day so perfect. We're always happy to come back here.

I didn't like the welcome at all, so I gave it 2 stars 🌟 less. I arrived 3 minutes before the official opening time at 11:30 a.m. Upon greeting, I was told that we weren't actually open yet. Yeah, so I'm not allowed to unlock the door. Now for the positive: the service was excellent. The onion roast was 4 stars 🌟 the meat was a bit tough.

We came to the Löwen in Wiblingen using a Fine Dine voucher. I have to say right away that this is a very good offer; otherwise, we would never have come to Wiblingen and discovered the restaurant. We were there with our 2-year-old child. We're generally reluctant to go to restaurants with our toddler. But at Löwen, the child is given a children's menu with crayons right away, and the children's meals arrive super quickly. The food is generally of excellent quality, and the service is very attentive and friendly. We always enjoy coming here.

The hotel is ideal for a stopover on your way south. A good breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and free parking are available. The food in the restaurant is "top-notch" 10 out of 10😋 The room on the upper floor was unfortunately a bit cramped.

Enjoyable moments in the Löwen Restaurant – down-to-earth cuisine with sophistication A visit to the Restaurant Löwen in Wiblingen/Ulm promises a successful combination of a cozy country inn atmosphere and cuisine that impresses with quality and taste. Our evening there was thoroughly enjoyable - the food was excellent and the service was warm and attentive. A successful start As a starter we chose a wild garlic cream soup with prawn ravioli - wonderfully creamy with a delicate spice. The Maultaschen provided a special touch and fit in perfectly in terms of taste. Main dishes with character Meat lovers were clearly the focus of the main courses. The grilled ribeye steak with chimichurri on parsnip puree was perfectly cooked, and the chimichurri as a fresh topping rounded off the steak's excellent taste. The “Allgäuer-Färse” pepper steak also impressed with its strong taste and perfect degree of doneness. What was particularly positive was that, upon request, triplet potatoes were served instead of the French fries provided - a service that we really appreciated. Sweet ending – classic and tasteful For dessert there were two delicious classics: the traditional apple cake with vanilla ice cream - fluffy, aromatic and with a subtle cinnamon note - and the trilogy of chocolate with orange, which impressed with intense chocolate nuances and fruity freshness. Matching drinks & attentive service The main courses were accompanied by a well-balanced selection of white and red wine, which rounded off the enjoyment perfectly. For dessert, a latte macchiato and a cappuccino ensured a successful conclusion. This time a highlight is the lion plate with all the Swabian delicacies you could want for two people. From roast roast to schnitzel and sirloin to cheese spaetzle. Everything included. We've been there several times for dinner. The salad plate and the fish dish also tasted very good. On public holidays there is pure mass processing in the upper hall. Atmosphere like a waiting room.

The hotel, run by the Geiger family, is located in Wiblingen, a village-like district of Ulm. If you like it quiet in the evenings and don't want to "go to the slopes" anymore, this is the right place for you. Which doesn't mean that there is nothing to enjoy in the inn of the 4 star hotel. A large selection of fine fruit brandies, Which are worth a try. The rooms are clean and not worn out. The staff is particularly friendly, helpful and accommodating. In the morning, I liked to take a cappuccino from the dining room to my room for myself and my wife before we went to the breakfast buffet. Excellent rolls and pretzels Cheese and sausage selection clear, but sufficient. For muesli fans, the selection seems to be much more extensive, but that's not my thing. I missed a little salmon and salads, but that wasn't a bad thing. Egg dishes are freshly prepared individually according to guests' wishes. Cappuccino has barista quality. The food in the inn can be described as good, home-style. The menu is limited to just a few specialties and seasonal, changing dishes. Better less, but good. I had, among other things, cured beef tongue and found it really tasty. Nothing fancy - high quality. It's a shame that only Afri Cola and no Coca Cola is offered. For smokers: there are rooms with balconies. Tiny but suitable for two people standing up. So, that's a quick one. We have already booked our next stay. That says it all, right?

We stopped at the Hotel Löwen on the way to Austria. The reception was very friendly, there were already 2 bowls and a small dog blanket for our dachshund in the room. The dinner was very tasty, the breakfast left nothing to be desired. Our room was nicely decorated, very clean and had a comfortable double bed. The hotel is definitely recommended, even for more than one stopover.

The hotel is a bit away from Ulm but in a quiet location and Ulm can be easily reached by bus in about 15 minutes. The Hotel Löwen restaurant with its very good and fine meat and fish dishes and other seasonal dishes is highly recommended. The staff are also very friendly and pamper the guests. A warm greeting to the service employee Pietro who pampered us and gave us a good attitude. Grazie mille. Excellent hotel, we stayed here one night and wished we would stay longer to try more dishes from the restaurant’s menu. The food was delicious and we were happy about the focus on local cuisine and specialities. Quiet, clean and cozy room. Breakfast was also great, extra plus for the bread and pastries quality. Friendly staff that spoke English. We loved everything about our stay.

A typical german gasthof with restaurant. Hotel - descent price for the quality they offer, nice clean rooms, very friendly employees. Breakfast - 15€, all you need, but nothing special. Definitely not enough fruit for me. Rastaurant - this time I ate vegan and it was great. Fantastic pumpkin soup with perfectly measured quantity of pumpkin oil nad seeds in it. Taste was natural, perfectly spiced. It is not hard to make a good pumpkin soup, so the devil lies in details. Their great detail was good pumpkin oil. Vegan curry was also fantastic, portion even a bit too big for me, taste perfect with grilled vegetables inside. I took a side salad, where they put some mustard in dressing, just as I like it and how you will find salad in many german restaurants. I will not lose time with explaining beer. Beer is in Germany always good, no matter where you drink it and no matter what type of beer yo order. It is a land of beer. I was here before and I will sure be back again. One of the best gasthouses in Ulm. Highly recommend it.

Nice and very well maintained hotel near Ulm. Very tasty dinner! It was very accommodating that we were immediately offered a small map with nice, nearby “walkies” for our dog. We walked the same route, partly along the river, in the morning.

We stayed at the Hotel & Gasthof Löwen for one night with our son as a stopover. We received a very warm welcome, the room was very clean, the team was without exception courteous, helpful and friendly. The dinner & breakfast in the inn was delicious, freshly prepared and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. Children are welcome. We felt comfortable and can absolutely recommend the hotel.

09.06.24 - last night we were invited by friends to the Gasthof Löwen again. First: The food was again very good, the price (although high) and performance were again good given the quality of the food. The portions were so large that a small food package could be taken with you. The service was quick and we were repeatedly asked if everything was okay and if we had any further requests. From this point of view we (10 people at a table) were very satisfied. BUT: What didn't work at all was the noise level from an event above the restaurant. My watch reminded me that 70dB over a long period of time can damage hearing. A conversation between everyone involved at the table was only possible with great concentration. Some of the windows vibrated. The bass that reached us suggested disco music. Only when the group above us had a meal break did the noise reduce to around 60dB, which already seemed pleasant to us. The attempt to reduce noise using a service staff had little success. The noise level was reduced from the initial approx. 80dB to the mentioned approx. 70dB. Dissatisfaction with the noise could also be clearly heard at the tables next to us. We were particularly sorry for the wedding party of 12 people who took their seats shortly before we left the restaurant. Everyone's faces showed clear dissatisfaction with the noise. Unfortunately, at such meetings with friends and acquaintances, there is hardly any alternative means of escape at short notice. Where can you escape to with 10 or 12 people without a reservation? We would have liked to have stayed longer and had something to drink, but it was just too loud for us. Our conclusion: I would be happy to eat at the Gasthof Löwen again. But ask beforehand which events are taking place at the same time and then, if necessary, reschedule the date accordingly. December 2023: Friendly staff, quick service and we were again very satisfied with the taste. Not cheap, but quality costs money. Addendum. We had dinner at Löwen a few days ago. We each had a pan of chanterelles. The taste was again very good and plentiful. However, we each ordered a white/sour wine spritzer. This is not recommended. Next time we'll order water. It's cheaper and probably doesn't taste any different than the watered down drink we were served.

At the restaurant we were not given a drinks menu and the food options (except for 2 starters) only had meat. No main course that at least contained fish or another alternative. Then I just took the small salad, which was one of the only non-meat dishes. And there was just a dead beetle on the lettuce leaf (which also looked dead for a long time). And then the waitress said: “Yes, it’s normal with a salad”. No, it is not normal to wash the lettuce leaves beforehand. Who knows what else is in the other dishes. Prices also way too expensive. Can't understand the good recessions at all

A nice modern hotel with large rooms and chic bathrooms. The employees are all very friendly and polite. There is also a very good selection of different foods at the breakfast buffet. The restaurant has a good selection of regional dishes and the price-performance ratio is okay. Of course the food was also delicious.

We had our family Christmas dinner there; Although it tasted very good, I was a little disappointed with my portion for the price I paid. We were also surprised that the prices for the "pre-Christmas card" were increased again compared to the "Christmas card".

3 thin slices of sauerbraten, mixed with a thick tendon, unfortunately tough...2 slices of dumplings......I can't recommend it.....when I commented that the meat wasn't good, all I got was the answer. ..that's always the case...food wasn't warm either...

Had Cordon Blue with spaetzle and cream sauce, which I really enjoyed. The Pinot Noir Rose quarter had too much acid. The price is way too high €8.30. Service OK and friendly.

Solo l'insalatina e la cortesia del personale salva un punteggio peggiore. Qualità/prezzo pessimo. Peccato. Personalmente eviterò e non consiglierò il ristorante. In albergo non sono stato.

Super freundliches Personal Super Essen 👍 Habe nicht übernachten da wir geschäftlich nur einen Tag Seminar hatten.

Durch den Fine-Dine-Gutschein sind wir auf den Gasthof Löwen aufmerksam geworden. Nachdem uns die Gastfreundschaft und der Zwiebelrostbraten an dem Freitagabend schlichtweg umgehauen haben, waren wir zwei Tage später gleich wieder dort, um die Rinderrouladen zu verkosten. Das ist moderne, ehrliche Wirtshausküche auf höchstem Niveau. Die 60 km werden uns davon nicht abhalten, wieder zu kommen.

Wir waren am Samstag zum Mittagessen dort und haben Rindsrouladen mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelpüree gegessen. Kann man kaum besser machen: Das Fleisch war zart und das Pürree fluffig. Einzig die Soße dürfte mehr Schmackes haben und ein paar Stückchen Gemüse mehr wären auch nicht verkehrt. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung angenehm schlicht und geschmackvoll, nicht überdekoriert. Es gibt einen eigenen Parkplatz für Gäste. Gerne wieder!
