LAGO hotel&restaurant in Ulm

Great hotel! Relatively simple as far as rooms are concerned. Very good restaurant, great bar. And if there is no trade fair there is also a good parking lot.

Sunday breakfast buffet unbeatable! Hot drinks, water, juices & Prosecco fresh from the tap included. Fresh egg dishes, waffles, baked goods, and simply everything your heart desires. Fantastic view of the lake. Very friendly service.

Unfortunately the service has deteriorated massively. The food is still great, but the experience is better everywhere else in Ulm. We waited 30 minutes for our order and basically had to excuse ourselves because we wanted to eat a cake on the terrace. Like many other frustrated guests, we had to order at the counter because the staff didn't feel like moving. It's a shame - the Lago has been a class and recommendation for years.

We spent two nights here to visit Legoland (25 minutes by car). The family room (double bed and pull-out sofa for the kids) is modern, clean and exceeded our expectations. But the little details in the room make the hotel unforgettable. We are extremely satisfied and recommend the hotel big and small! Thank you very much 🙂

Great location, quiet and still central. The view of the lake is incredibly beautiful! The staff was always very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were modern and extremely clean. I'll be back!

We stayed one night at the Lago Hotel and booked a room with a lake view. The view was beautiful, as was the hotel's quiet location. The room is modern and clean. It would have been perfect for us with a proper door to the bathroom, as it had a sliding glass door. We still felt comfortable; the beds were comfortable, and we were impressed by the windows with fly screens. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also great. A great selection of freshly prepared dishes; we enjoyed everything. Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and competent.

Cool hotel. Just a little outside the city and little around it.

One night in the Lage and actually it would have taken a lot more time to walk through the hallways. The hotel is somewhat dedicated to the history of Ulm designers. There were a few exhibits in the hallways (at least on my floor). Great idea and definitely something different. Room: Very modern and rather luxuriously furnished. Staff: Very nice, friendly, accommodating

Nice location right on the Danube with a tram stop in front of the door. Good, tasty, rich culinary offer.

The only drawback of the room is that the bathroom is made of glass and the extractor fan is a bit weak.

Everything perfect Nice spa area

We booked the arrangement with dinner in the star restaurant Seestern. The first thing we noticed was the great working atmosphere here. You can hear employees laughing and see how they help each other. As a guest, you can feel that everyone has fun and enjoy working here. We also had a lot of fun and joy as guests. We were totally thrilled by the beautiful room, the amazing view, the world's best cheesecake in the lobby, the great breakfast buffet and the great visit to the star restaurant. I have a big problem now, I was so excited about my pillow that I'm now running through all the furniture stores to find one exactly like it 😅. Within walking distance of the Ulm Zoo and the Danube in the immediate vicinity with a great walk/cycle path along the river to the city center (approx. 1.5-2km) Rich breakfast buffet, comfortable seating with direct access to the “Treibgut” restaurant

We stayed at the Lago Hotel for two nights. We had two dogs with us who were warmly welcomed. You can also go downstairs to the bistro, which was great. 20€ per dog per night was a bit extreme, more than two nights with two dogs is not that pleasant... We had a great, spacious and modern room with a lake view. All the employees were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was good, especially the fresh waffles and coffee. We were a little disappointed with the choice of cold cuts but it was okay. We found everything to be very clean. The food at Treibgut is very expensive but extremely good and you can treat yourself to that for an evening. We'll definitely be back!

As a professional village alcoholic, I have to say that the mixes that were made there were very tasty and had a great bang. Big compliment to the employees 🍻🤘

We were “only” here for breakfast, so no review of the rooms. There was a lot to choose from and the service team was really friendly and not too intrusive. There was a lot to try, and for me it left nothing to be desired. There were fresh waffles and freshly prepared omelettes made to your own wishes. It has to be said that we were given the voucher as a gift, because 32 EUR per person is a very impressive price. What doesn't work at all: the parking situation. It was packed and we had to park illegally.

The Lago Hotel is very modern. As soon as you enter the hotel you get a small feeling of luxury. The staff at reception and the luggage carriers were very nice and attentive. The rooms are modern and offer everything you need for your vacation. There is a minibar that is refilled daily. The rooms also have a small balcony and the bathroom is modern and has a wooden look. However, the pool area is the best thing about the hotel. There are various pools to choose from here. The highlight here was the Maldives beach pool, a pool with the look of a Maldives beach with a sandy beach. There are even various slides available for children, normal and even with tires. If all that isn't enough for you, you can even go swimming in the sea. This is located directly at the hotel and can be reached within a minute. Regardless of whether it is the sea or the pool, there are enough berths available. The food and drink selection are really great. You can eat and drink here around the clock in various bars, snack points or restaurants. Unfortunately, the negatives were that many waiters only spoke Turkish and there were too few staff at all the bars. Regardless of whether it was lunchtime or an evening event, you always had to wait several minutes for your drinks because the bars were usually only manned by one or two waiters. Another negative point is unfortunately the hygiene when cleaning the drink cups. These were often still dirty and not washed properly. Here I recommend using either your own cup or the paper cups from the hotel. But these are the only negative points about the hotel. The hygiene in the hotel is really great. Rooms and hotel facilities were always clean and well maintained. Another plus point were the evening events and the program in the hotel. There was always the opportunity to do something here or enjoy a great evening event in the evening. Anyone who still felt like it after the evening event, which usually ended at 10 p.m., could continue partying in the disco until 1 a.m. This was located on the so-called Maldives beach and was an open air disco with a bar. All in all a great hotel and highly recommended.

Simply a really beautiful wedding location

A really great hotel per se, but one design decision kills the coziness: a perforated, very thin sliding glass door between the toilet and the bed. Given that the hotel deals a lot with Gropius and "form follows function" in terms of content, this is a real flaw. All the other hotel guests (we were there for a wedding) also found it rather bizarre. However, if you like lying in bed and want to listen and watch your partner in the toilet, you will find happiness here.

The location of the hotel is very nice, right on the Danube. There is a quiet and idyllic atmosphere. The hotel has two restaurants. There is a beautiful terrace right on the lake.

Were there for the breakfast buffet. It was awesome, I can only recommend it.

I was there with two other friends from August 25th to September 1st, 2024. In itself a very nice hotel, the pool was great (even for non-swimmers as the “deepest” pool is 140cm), the location was great, as was the beach. Important points of criticism here: The waitress often comes or walks past you despite calling and raising your hand in a friendly manner. The service at the main restaurant and at the bar was really bad (of course with so many staff there were the same 3 waitresses who came... if they weren't there you didn't have a drink with your meal. My room wasn't cleaned twice in one week or towels, bath towels, EVEN my blanket was missing. I had to call there every time because something was wrong, or the minibar was never filled by itself. The entertainment shows were very good. Well, it was okay but it wasn't a wow. To be honest, I don't know if I would book there again.

Courteous service staff and delicious food in a great atmosphere. Once again we enjoyed a cozy evening on the beautiful lakeside terrace. We always like to come back.

My occasion was a wedding. The hotel is beautifully located in the "Friedrichsau" park and the small zoo. You have a beautiful view from the hotel room and on the ground floor you can relax by the small lake right next to the hotel.

My husband and I got married last week at the Hotel LAGO. Our free wedding ceremony was up in the E61 and afterwards we ate and celebrated in the flotsam. We also stayed overnight at the hotel and we can say that we are more than satisfied overall. Everything went smoothly and without any problems. The service was great and the food was just so delicious. Our guests were also enthusiastic and praised not only the location with the great lake, but also the outstanding buffet and the friendly staff. We were always taken care of and we were always able to help if we had any questions. We are so happy to have gotten married there and would like to thank you so much that everything worked out so wonderfully! In any case, we will come back (at the latest on our first wedding anniversary) and revel in the beautiful memories until then. Best regards Kerstin & Andre

I think it was very nice from the room to the service. It is in the middle of Ulm. Service was very nice. The only disadvantage is that it is very bright and noisy at night because of the temporary fair taking place there

The hotel impresses with its central location, perfect for a city trip. My room was clean, modern and pleasantly quiet despite the busy surroundings. Service was friendly and efficient throughout, from quick check-in to daily cleaning. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of fresh food, although it was a bit crowded at peak times. Overall, the hotel offers a solid choice for a comfortable stay in the city, with small compromises in room size

Nice experience The hotel is located in a beautiful area next to a lake and a park where walking is enjoyable .. We took a family room which was a reasonable size but the bathroom lacked privacy and had a glass door!!! It was an awkward situation with two children. .. The breakfast is delicious and the staff are helpful 👌🏻

There were 12 of us eating at Flotsam. We thought the food was good, but last year it was a lot better.

Great room with a view of the lake and Danube. The staff are super nice and friendly. The only thing that really caught my attention was a kind of head waiter who carried food to the table with a tablet and then commanded his colleagues verbally and non-verbally. It's just embarrassing how some people ignore others instead of setting an example when it comes to kindness. In any case, it doesn't make a good impression, talk to the employee about whether he has the right job.

Fantastic location, well thought-out rooms. The food was extremely tasty and, above all, was great value for money. The wellness area was particularly nice. Very clean and nice and empty.

We chose exactly the right hotel in Ulm for my 75th birthday. - It was wonderful in the Lago - My guests and I particularly enjoyed the presentations of the objects from the HFG (University of Design 1955 - 1968), most of which can still be seen today, e.g. LH Kranich, or can be purchased. I would like to thank the service staff, the kitchen and the reception team again. Especially to Mr. Ceh for his support. Wir waren sehr überrascht, es war perfekt. Das Zimmer war schön, leider konnten wir wegen unseres Hundes kein Zimmer mit Seeblick buchen. Das Restaurant war erstklassig. Das Essen sehr lecker und die Mitarbeiter sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Sie schafften es, einem anstrengenden Tag einenperfekten Ausklang zu bereiten. Ein erstklassiges Haus.
