It may be true that the food was okay and the service friendly, yes! That's why we gave it one star, because we know better! But the room we had as a family was completely unacceptable: three single beds, one of which wasn't even a proper one, and no one bothered to dust it. The room was far too warm, with no blinds. The worst part was that you couldn't even air the room, as the smoking staff were right next to ours, rubbing shoulders with each other!! And that to us, non-smokers! No consideration, even though they noticed we weren't happy about it, and the smoking continued in the morning. Not to mention, you can only leave the balcony door open at night with caution, as it's a shared balcony and accessible to everyone. A bathtub (with a high entry) isn't exactly a thing these days, especially with all the hair in the drain! We ended up cutting short our stay after one night, but no one really cared about the reason, even though we were asked when paying that we had booked a longer stay. Absolutely not recommended!

A traditional, family-run restaurant located about 7km outside of Ulm. Friendly service and excellent food. Would gladly return.

I'm writing about a LEGEND here – known far beyond the borders of Söflingen or even Ulm! Zum Schatten invites you to enjoy schnitzel in all its variations. It offers a cozy atmosphere; I was there alone and sat at the counter. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. I highly recommend it!

Wiblinger Str. 37Very pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and truly excellent food. I enjoy going there, especially since it's open until 2:30 p.m. I highly recommend it.

Hauptstraße 6We had our wedding lunch, coffee, and cake here in November and can only offer our heartfelt thanks. The service was exceptionally kind, attentive, and warm. As the bride—and pregnant, no less—I was even offered non-alcoholic sparkling wine at the reception without even asking, which I was very happy about and certainly not something you can take for granted. The food was delicious and prepared with care. We would especially like to highlight the great flexibility: When we had to go for a photo shoot and the main lunch was being served, our food, as well as the photographer's, was kept warm without any problems and later served fresh and hot again—simply wonderful and very thoughtful. Everything was also perfectly organized. We unexpectedly had four more guests than planned, which wasn't a problem at all: An additional table and the missing chairs were immediately provided. Our decorations were arranged exactly as we had requested. The price was absolutely fair and reasonable, and we—just like our guests—felt completely comfortable and very well looked after. The food was absolutely fair and reasonable. Thank you so much for making such an important day so relaxed, warm, and perfect for us. Highly recommended!
