Reserved a table at this great restaurant based on a recommendation. It was wonderful. Very cozy, great service and very attentive. A warm atmosphere and the food is bliss. We are absolutely thrilled and are looking forward to the next time. The restaurant is highly recommended!

Service top, food actually great but the prices are now exorbitantly high. Previously visited regularly, now rarely. Maybe not at all in the future. It's a shame, but compared to competitors and quality/price/performance, Hermes is only an emergency alternative.

Giving one star is already too much of a good thing. We have never experienced anything like this before. 1. No idea where they came from, but there were so many fruit mosquitoes, so that the first flies were swimming in them as soon as the drinks arrived. At first I fished out and tried to drink, but you just couldn't fight them off. Pointed this out to the waiter, drinks were taken away, but there were no new ones 2. Ingredients, other than those declared on the menu, were in the starter and could not be eaten due to allergies 3. Starter was floating in pure vinegar and was therefore inedible (this actually has no place in this dish) 4th main course: I couldn't manage to cut the shrimp with the knife, they were so hard, the potatoes were very musty and watery, the salmon was hard and spoiled, I had to spit them out immediately 5. The waiter was unfriendly and threatening towards us, so to top it all off, payment was difficult

We were at this restaurant on New Year's Eve and were looking forward to delicious Greek food. Unfortunately it was inedible and totally over salted. Neither of us are that sensitive, but this was just too much. The reaction wasn't particularly professional either. "I'll pass it on to the kitchen", that's it. We would have liked a different reaction. Probably our last visit to Socrates. There are other good Greeks in Karlsruhe.

We‘re welcomed with garlic breads and ouzos instantly. Atmosphere was great. We had a meze plate and lamb filets with Greek wine. Everything was very delicious and the stuff was so warm, nice and cheerful.

Had dinner there with five people. Had reserved. The restaurant was very well attended. Nevertheless, there was no rush from the staff and we were served quickly and friendly. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. I'd love to come back.

Subterranean overcooked food and cold fries

Room reserved for several people and a few days later was canceled due to a more profitable reservation. I just can't think of anything anymore. To the operator's answer: Inquiry and then agreed upon. By the way, I'm not the first person to experience this. See further review. Falsely calling customers liars is quite violent.

Celebrated a birthday party. The food was great, service wasn't bad either. Just a little too expensive. But otherwise it is really recommended. Up to 30 people fit perfectly.

The food in the restaurant is usually very affordable and tasty, which we really appreciate. However, in some cases the quality left something to be desired. For example, some of the gyros were very dry and burnt, and the potatoes unfortunately seemed soggy in places. But it was just a one-time thing Another point of criticism concerns the ambience and hygiene. The area behind the counter in particular appears untidy, which also raises concerns from a safety perspective. A particularly noticeable example is a broken dishwasher with hanging cables, which not only looks unprofessional but also poses a potential safety risk.
