The food was delicious. It was a lovely, cozy restaurant. The reviews were also a factor in my choice. There was one negative review, which said the food was tasteless. But I didn't find that to be the case. I've visited many Greek restaurants, and this one is in my top 5.

This restaurant was recommended to us, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, and they reserved a wonderful table for us for our birthday. The service was very attentive and super friendly. This was our first time here, but certainly not our last. We'd love to come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Greek food.

We went to this restaurant based on the very positive reviews. We can't say we had a bad meal, but all the dishes could be improved a bit; they're tasteless, both the meat, the salad, and even the watery rice. The only nice thing is that they welcome you with the traditional aniseed liqueur, and if you like, they'll even offer it at the end of the meal. I'd been to other Greek restaurants before and had definitely better food. I think the menu needs a bit of a revamp.

We come here regularly; the service is always very good. And, of course, the food is always of the highest quality and taste. I recommend reserving a table in advance, as there can often be long waits. Update: We visited again after a long break, and it was still excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

This greek is absolutely perfect, the staff is super nice. The food is really great. I really enjoyed my dinner here. Prices where also really affordable. I spent about 54 euros for dinner Incl drinks. However there is one thing that was a bit hard to get over. The food was really salty, i also felt this the next day, not a big problem just something to think about before you eat here.

Very attentive and friendly hosts, but unfortunately, the food has deteriorated considerably recently. The house dressing is very boring and tasteless, and you get the feeling that no one is seasoning the other dishes either.

The gyro was inedible, dry, and tough. The moussaka was good. Overall, the food was okay, but nothing more.

We ordered a takeaway appetizer platter for two people. Vegetarian options were no problem, the quantity was more than sufficient, and, last but not least, they even gave us a dessert. It was delicious and a 10/10 price-performance ratio. Thanks also to the friendly chef and his team for the free ouzo during our short wait for the food. With such hospitality, we'll be happy to come back!

Food nothing special, lots of free ouzo

Basically a great shop with friendly service. The meat was also of good quality. However, one of the lamb skewers we ordered had a long hair on it. We pointed this out, and they offered to replace the skewer. But we would have finished our meal by then, so we declined. At the checkout, they deducted €5 for this, which I found a bit lame, considering we left over half the meat after the hair. But otherwise, it was fine; we just won't be coming back.

The food was at 8:15, but you're paying for a fine-dining restaurant. I won't go back.

The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic Greek flavours! Everything tasted fresh and true to traditional recipes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we don't recommend it. Starter grilled pepperoni... Pickled pepperoni were briefly warmed in the pan and served in cheap oil with no taste and with ground breadcrumbs. Grilled lamb fillet... Defrosted in the microwave (also unfortunately pre-cooked), briefly on the grill... The meat was far dry and tough and without any grill color. €27 for that? Went back and luckily wasn't charged. Baked gyros, dripping with fat and tasted pretty neutral. Side rice tasted very watered down. Baked Greek pasta... Pasta was overcooked, swollen, swimming in fat and unfortunately very tasteless. Liver... tendoned and tough. The salad was still floating in water.

I wish I could give 10 stars. The service is extremely good, really nice employees and overall a really very good shop. We were welcomed straight away with a small cocktail on the house. Very reasonable prices and lots of free side dishes.

As a guest you are welcomed directly by the friendly service, including an aperitif. Food is really good, large portions for a fair price. Great praise goes to the employees, who are really very accommodating throughout.

We ate in the restaurant and the food was really delicious - fresh, well seasoned and prepared with love. The service was also very nice and attentive, which we found really positive. Unfortunately, the overall ambience was disappointing. The restaurant looks very old, the furnishings are old and uncomfortable. The toilets in particular were not clean and in urgent need of renovation. It's a shame, because the food really has potential - but unfortunately everything around it really spoiled the overall impression. If this is modernized, it could be a really great restaurant.

We went here spontaneously for dinner. It was super nice, great service, delicious food. We felt comfortable and would come again if we were in Karlsruhe again.

I reserved a table yesterday because I thought, based on the very good comments, that I wouldn't spontaneously get a free table. I have to say that I don't understand where all these good reviews come from as the restaurant is very run down, old and dirty. In addition, the food doesn't taste good. Starting with the salad. Even the dressing didn't taste like anything. I ordered a lamb fillet as my main course. The meat was rubbery and you couldn't even chew it properly. Service was unkempt. I suspect all the good comments come from the rounds of ouzo that are on the house. This is how they score points. However, I go to a restaurant to have a delicious meal, not to get drunk. I've never eaten so badly. I would recommend everyone not to pay attention to the comments as this does not correspond at all to what we saw and ate there. I'm really disappointed. It definitely wasn't worth the money.

So from the start, the food was a complete disaster. I don't know if the food is from lunch and has been reheated or if it's just not good... I think both. I had gyros with fries and Metaxa sauce (with mushrooms), when I asked if you could leave the mushrooms out, the answer was that you can't take them out, the sauce is already ready and there is mushroom powder in it... what good chef uses mushroom powder please!!! Starters salad was food for rabbits and not for humans, fart dry and barely seasoned. The service was pretty unkempt and not that friendly. There is one positive thing though, there were at least 3 rounds of ouzo and a round of bread. After dinner we asked the boss that the food wasn't good and didn't taste good at all, he didn't apologize for it or anything, he just said next time it would be better and the shop has been around for a long time and is always full... doesn't change the fact that we never set foot there again in our lives. The toilets were also really dirty... and as people like to say, the kitchen looks like the toilet! Conclusion: The rating is misleading. Don't eat there and instead get a kebab with fries, you'll have more of that...

Had lunch at this restaurant today. What can you say… Really a pure disappointment. Starting with the salad. Dressing had no taste and it was really bland. Then came the main course. Gyros were very dry and the lamb chop only tasted like herb butter. Really sad. When we were asked if we enjoyed the food, we gave our honest opinion... that we didn't enjoy it. The owner did not accept our opinion and pointed out to us that he has owned the store for a long time and it has always been good. Unfortunately it doesn't do me any good if the food wasn't tasty. The service wasn't exactly ideal either. Beer mats used as coasters are thrown onto the table. What can you say… overall a pure disappointment. We were particularly pleased with the many positive comments. So it's clear that we unfortunately won't eat there anymore and wouldn't recommend this restaurant either.

We went there after Gottesdienst. In general it’s a perfect place for you to grab some greek food. The meat and Pommes are beyond my expectations but the rice are not good enough to give us a surprise. The waiters are so nice and professional, the decorations and the atmosphere can also make you feel in Greece. Anyway it’s a good place to dine in.

We‘re welcomed with garlic breads and ouzos instantly. Atmosphere was great. We had a meze plate and lamb filets with Greek wine. Everything was very delicious and the stuff was so warm, nice and cheerful.

A company party with 30 people at 12 noon – and the restaurant was steadily filling up to capacity. Despite the rush of hungry guests, a professional team was waiting, systematically and consistently taking everyone's orders and processing them with astonishing speed. Considering the value for money, the food is astonishingly good. The meat was excellently prepared to perfection. Even the liver was tender. The tzatziki was a bit bland, but opinions differ here, as we all know. The rice side dishes were well-seasoned. The fries were a bit "sloppy." A total of four ouzos were served in two hours, which is quite exceptional. The hospitality and the team were very friendly and professional in their collaboration. Thank you for these wonderful hours, we'll see you again at the next company party 👋🏻

We received a very warm welcome, everyone was very attentive, the ouzo arrived at our table faster than we could sit down, but the food was unfortunately much too spicy. The waitress simply said, "Don't you know us?" Despite receiving three complimentary ouzos, we won't be coming back. We want to eat delicious food and not get drunk. 😀

Very delicate dishes, well seasoned but not too much garlic, the ouzo was well chilled and the whole ambience was harmonious. To feel good and enjoy.

What is impressive and almost a unique selling point in Karlsruhe city center is how late in the evening you can still get something to eat here in a pleasant atmosphere. Very nice and dedicated service - probably from the owners themselves.

Today again a Greek. Reservation via telephone. It was well filled so it was a good idea. An appetizer platter for 2 people was very tasty. Main course with salad and a total of 4 ouzo from the house. The waiter had a good day. Very friendly service and no long waiting times. The ambience is typical for the provider but quite pleasant. Price/performance is completely fine.

The taste was very good (the tzatziki could have been even more intense). Definitely not cheap in terms of price, but not extremely expensive either, so still within reason. In return we got one or two ouzos on the house! The staff was very friendly, a big compliment for that!

A culinary nightmare – or how I learned to appreciate the toilet! I don't even know where to start... maybe with the fact that at the end of the evening I had to use the menu as a napkin because there wasn't enough toilet paper? But that was probably the least of the problems on this memorable evening. The “tzatziki” – or as I now call it, the “Greek dip of death” – not only settled in my stomach, but apparently decided to put my digestion at peak performance for the next two days. What started as a harmless appetizer ended in a bathroom odyssey that would have impressed even Homer. The service? Well, I thought at times that they had forgotten me. But then I noticed that even the flies on the plate didn't want to stay long enough to see if the main course ever arrived. And the gyro? It was so dry that I wasn't sure if I was chewing a piece of meat or an old leather sofa. Probably the latter, because even after three glasses of water I could barely move my jaw. But the best came last: the ouzo “on the house,” which tasted like it had spent the best years of its life in a dusty bottle. I think my tongue left me after that - and my stomach followed shortly after. Conclusion: If you feel like your digestion is working too smoothly, then I can only warmly recommend this restaurant. For everyone else: stay away!

I like to order food here to pick up since I live nearby. I have to say it is by far the best Greek in town. Generous portions, very tasty food and even gave us dessert for free! Once the starter was forgotten - it's okay, it can happen - and as an apology another starter and a small wine were added. This store really emphasizes the "big" in generosity.

Unfortunately the fries were rock hard, probably fried twice due to time constraints. Service was nice, the atmosphere was old-fashioned, far too many plastic flowers (dust catchers) and the only good boss was 3 schnapps on the house... after that I was so annoyed that it didn't matter anyway. smile

Finally a Greek who hasn't yet Germanized his food in terms of spices but uses the original seasoning. If you want to eat authentically, this is the first choice. The portions were plentiful as well as the price was right. When you first contact the staff, tell them straight away that you don't want alcohol ( if you are a non-alcoholic) otherwise there will be an ouzo right there. We had 3 pieces when we left.
