Wunderschönes Restaurant. Essen fantastisch und Personal äußerst freundlich. Wir waren da als es recht ruhig war, es war ein bisschen laut aber dafür kann das Restaurant nichts. Etwas teuerer aber was erwartet man in der Großstadt.

Freundliche Leute und reichlich leckeres Fleisch pro Gericht

Selten so ein unfreundliches Personal erlebt. Auf einen „Guten Abend“ auf Griechisch gab es keine Antwort, nur einen schiefen Blick. Jede Anfrage wurde mit einem blöden und genervten Kommentar begegnet. Essen war mittelmässig.

Jedes Mal leckeres Essen und top Bedingung

Das Steak wurde kalt serviert. Die dazu servierte Kräuterbutter konnte gar nicht schmelzen und lag auf dem Steak einfach am Stück... Das Gyros war versalzen. Enttäuschend. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Hatte schon bessere griechische Restaurants. Irgendwie hat mich diese geschmackli h nicht abgeholt.

Schönes Ambiente auf der Terrasse. Der Service ist aufmerksam und lustig. Das Personal fand in jedem Moment die richtige Distanz zum Gast. Das Essen, besonders Suflaki und Lammkotelett, war der Hammer. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Heute waren wir im Restaurant „Sokratis“ und leider war unser Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Wir wurden auf die Sommerterrasse gesetzt, das Menü bekamen wir erst nach etwa 10 Minuten. Bestellt haben wir eine Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen, zwei Cocktails und ein Rumpsteak zum Teilen. Die Cocktails und die Vorspeise kamen schnell, auf das Steak mussten wir jedoch fast eine Stunde warten. Wir hatten das Steak medium bestellt, leider war es sehr zäh und gummiartig. Ehrlich gesagt war es eines der schlechtesten Rumpsteaks, die wir je gegessen haben. Zudem wurde nur ein Steakmesser serviert, obwohl der Kellnerin bekannt war, dass das Gericht für zwei Personen bestellt wurde – wir mussten das Messer gegenseitig weiterreichen. Nach der Vorspeise wurden unsere Teller nicht abgeräumt bzw. ausgetauscht. Die Bedienung wirkte insgesamt wenig freundlich, fragte auch nicht nach weiteren Wünschen oder Getränken. Als ich nachfragte, wie lange das Steak noch dauern würde, reagierte sie eher überrascht, dass wir überhaupt nachfragen. Zum Bezahlen mussten wir schließlich einen anderen Kellner bitten. Leider können wir dieses „Restaurant“ nicht weiterempfehlen. Wir hoffen sehr, dass sich Service und Organisation in Zukunft verbessern werden.

Gestern Abend waren wir im Restaurant Sokrates in Karlsruhe – und wir waren wirklich begeistert. Ich hatte den gefüllten Sepia, meine Frau das Souvlaki. Der Sepia war unglaublich zart und perfekt auf den Punkt gegart. Das Fleisch beim Souvlaki wunderbar gewürzt, dazu ein richtig leckerer Tzatziki. Auch die Weinauswahl hat uns positiv überrascht. Was aber besonders hervorsticht: der Service. Selten erlebt man eine so freundliche, aufmerksame und gleichzeitig professionelle Bedienung. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Für mich definitiv eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die in Karlsruhe richtig gut griechisch essen gehen möchten. 🇬🇷🍷

Sehr freundlich und humorvoll. Das Essen kam für alle 10 Personen gleichzeitig an, trotz vollem Restaurant. Tolle große Speisenauswahl. Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre.

Ich komme immer mal wieder gerne hier her weil es eine der besten griechischen Küchen in Karlsruhe ist. Mein Favorit ist ganz klar der Oktopussalat, 10/10. Auch das Personal ist immer super freundlich und stets bemüht, einen schönen Abend zu bereiten.

Das Essen ist kalt und aus der Mikrowelle! Ich bestellte Mousaka (Auflauf) dieser war innen noch auf Kühlschrank Temperatur so wie es eben passiert wenn man etwas in der Mikrowelle zu kurz warm macht. Außerdem Schmeckte es so wie ein Fertig Maggi tüten Auflauf und war recht wenig! Das ganze für ~ 18 Euro anzubieten ist frech. Die Bedienung hingegen war sehr freundlich doch selbst nach beschwere über das kalte essen wurde nichts daran geändert. Ich kann das Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen!

Dieses Restaurant müsst ihr unbedingt besuchen! Ich hatte während eines Zwischenstopps Hunger und bin spontan reingegangen. Obwohl wir eine Stunde vor Ladenschluss ankamen, war das Personal sehr freundlich. Und vor allem: Das Essen war einfach fantastisch! Es war mein erstes griechisches Restaurant, und ich bestellte die Fleischplatte für eine Person. Sie war zwar etwas groß, aber so lecker, dass ich alles aufgegessen habe!

Wunderbar leckeres Jahresabschlussessen an Silvester. So nette Bedienung hatten wir selten. Besonders gute Pommes und leckere Käsevorspeisen. Wir kommen sicher! wieder. 😃

Sehr viel Öl in den Beilagen. Das Preis/Umfang-verhältnis war leider auch nicht zufriedenstellend. Ein Lammteller hat uns 66€ gekostet, während das Fleisch sehr zäh war. Der Service ist jedoch extrem herzlich.

Nice restaurant, friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I waited almost an hour for my meal, which was then only room temperature. It was reheated quite quickly, so it was probably in the microwave. So I waited an hour for a microwave meal that didn't taste good at all. I didn't think it was well-seasoned. Very disappointing. I was really looking forward to the evening.

Cozy and close to our hotel, tasty and affordable. Everything was perfect.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, which stands out from the usual Greek restaurants. The staff made you feel like they were all part of a family. The food was delicious. The meat was particularly juicy and tender, and very well prepared. What more could you want? ;-) If we're ever in town again, we'll be back.

I honestly don't understand why this restaurant has such high ratings. We had to wait over an hour for our food, which was completely unreasonable. It was also extremely loud, making it almost impossible to have a conversation. The food itself was, unfortunately, just average—neither in taste nor in presentation. Overall, the visit was disappointing. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very nice and quiet for outdoor seating. The fish platter was excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was very pleasant, especially on the beautiful terrace. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The meze plate is very nice. It is a Greek restaurant with a very good price-performance ratio with its meat and the sauces it adds to the meat. You will definitely like it. A 4.5/5 place, I am saying it for Ouzo lovers, the Ouzo is too aniseed, it resembles raki. Other than that, everything was very good. We came back 2 weeks later. We tried the cold meze, seafood meze and dessert plate meze. It was very nice. I wish the waiter was more cheerful. Other than that, it is a great place.

Great restaurant food was good, but twice a wrong order. A large beer instead of a small beer and olives instead of pepperoni. But then a large beer on the bill I think is not right. What was said the bill changed but when I wanted to give a tip nothing was accepted because of indignation. Strange.

Gyros with fries, just as you'd imagine, crispy and really good. You could have forgotten the side salad; it consisted of green salad, meaning no cabbage, carrots, or anything else. It came with a ready-made sauce.

1 restaurante tipico grego, comida simples mas saborosa, todos os pratos que vieram para a mesa estavam saborosos em especial o misto de peixes e a perna de borrego. Acompanhado pela bela e tipica cerveja da alemanha. O staff é simpatico e profissional. Muito boa opçao na cidade para quem procura algo diferente.

Me and my friends just arrived in Karlsruhe and decided to try this restaurant without any expectations. Turns out it was the best decision that we could’ve made, the people there were so nice, all of them spoke english with us and were very thoughtful and friendly. The food was amazing also, the best food the we’ve eaten so far in town, the desert was also incredible. We’ll be back for sure, would recommend to everyone 10/10

We felt very comfortable here with a large group of 18 people in total. We got a table here at short notice on Saturday evening. We got the food quickly and everyone enjoyed it.

Starter wasn't that tasty. Main course was ok. The gyros were very tasty, the rest of the meat was rather average. The rice was extremely salty and therefore hardly edible. Portion rather steep for the price. Staff very friendly.

I have been a guest for many years. Food is excellent - ambience: modern and cozy. The service is always warm and friendly! Also very suitable for larger groups!

We were at this restaurant on New Year's Eve and were looking forward to delicious Greek food. Unfortunately it was inedible and totally over salted. Neither of us are that sensitive, but this was just too much. The reaction wasn't particularly professional either. "I'll pass it on to the kitchen", that's it. We would have liked a different reaction. Probably our last visit to Socrates. There are other good Greeks in Karlsruhe.

The best Greek in Karlsruhe! He just feels welcome and has a great meal too! No matter what you order, quality comes! A special compliment to Argi for his service is 11/10 stars. A waiter who recognizes his guests.

Some reviews suggested they recently got a new owner. The food was well cooked, but sadly it missed the herbs and taste which really make it feel like Greek food. The interior was nice, but definitely not a traditional Greek restaurant.

I found the food and service both good. A little more Greek flair would be nice for the “ultimate experience”. :-)

We quickly decided to have a Greek dinner. Here we found nice and attentive service, very good food in a pleasant atmosphere. We also liked the dark beer on tap.

Best Greek I know. Great liver and great gyros. Staff always friendly. Reservation recommended on weekends. However, the parking situation is a bit difficult. But with a little searching it should still work.

One of the few Greek restaurants where it's not the size of the portions but the quality that's important! Such authentic dishes are rarely so fine outside of Greece, and the mixed starters are particularly recommended.

Very good service. Came without a reservation and an adequate table was arranged straight away. Food good. Ambience not typically Greek, more modern. 1 star less it was very loud so you couldn't understand your own words. We'll definitely be back. Keep it up......
