We went here spontaneously for dinner this evening, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, the price was reasonable. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We'd love to come back
Was there today for the first and last time.
- Everything took forever from ordering until the food arrived to paying and when we arrived only 2 tables (4 people) were occupied.
- Price/performance….actually outrageous.
-Portions very small and then €18.50 for a grill plate...not even “senior” size.
- everything tasteless and not seasoned.
Everything tasted the same.
I have to say it was definitely the worst Greek food I've had so far.
And as I said, prices are quoted that bear no relation.
It's a shame but the good thing is always... in this case it can actually only get better.
From the outside, the place doesn't look particularly inviting; the food was okay, but not outstanding, and too expensive for the price. The service was friendly and attentive, but all in all, the restaurant isn't necessarily worth recommending.
If you've always wanted to know what a Greek tragedy feels like live, you should definitely go to Cavos Taverna in Stuttgart. We had already made reservations in December 2024 for a visit on April 12, 2025 - what a naive belief that that would achieve anything. After only 30 minutes of waiting we finally got a table. Tension until the end – almost like a surprise dinner.
The kitchen presented itself creatively: three of the six dishes were cold, probably served fresh from the fridge to simulate the Mediterranean wind on the plate. Two portions of fries remained a mystery - ordered, never seen, paid for anyway. Maybe meant symbolically?
Our polite inquiry was peppered with a mixture of excuses and accusations - it was the waiter's fault, they said. To be honest, we just felt sorry for him because he was the only one with any visible motivation.
Conclusion: Cavos Taverna – the perfect place if you are hungry, have time and have enough nerve. For everyone else: There are also places in Stuttgart where food and service actually go together.
We've been coming here every time we visit Usedom for a few years now. The service is consistently very friendly, dogs are welcome and immediately given a bowl of water.
Unfortunately, the quality of the meat dishes has declined somewhat; personally, I'd prefer a smaller portion size but better quality.
Cozy restaurant with very friendly, attentive service.
The food was typically Greek and I enjoyed it, except for the salad.
It was too spicy for me, but that's a matter of taste.
I think it's great to be able to put together your own salad at a small buffet.
Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed.
Drinks are really expensive and the portion of the main course is puny. In general, everything tasted very unseasoned and you had to look for the feta in the bifteki.
But the service was very friendly.
