We just ate at your place and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the vegetables in dish number 53 were overly acidic. And according to the menu, it should have contained pepperoni, onions, and mushrooms. But there were only onions and bell peppers in the pan 😢 Otherwise, everything was good and the tzatziki was fantastic. The hospitality deserves 5 stars!

3 stars for the taste. There were three of us, and the taste was very good. However, I wouldn't eat there again because the portions were so small that we had to buy more at the gas station on the way home to feel full. Sorry, but the portions are simply too small. I ordered mayonnaise with my fries, which wasn't brought, but that wasn't a problem, since there were only 15 fries on the plate at most. Very tasty, but far too little.

Yesterday, after not having visited this restaurant for several years, we discovered that there had been a change of ownership. The result of the change: we spent a very pleasant evening with you. The food was truly excellent, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and realized: Bentheim once again has a very good Greek restaurant. Please keep up the good work!

A very nice Greek restaurant in the heart of Bad Bentheim, located in an old, beautifully restored and furnished building. Be sure to try (as part of a meal) the grilled liver with braised onions; amazing! 😃😇

We got a table quickly without having to make a reservation. The salad we ordered was very good, and we could put it together ourselves at the salad bar. The food we ordered arrived quickly. The service was excellent! We started with an ouzo, followed by my dish, which was absolutely delicious! The best croquettes! The skewers were really good! We'll definitely be back!

We visited this restaurant for dinner. The service was very nice and friendly. Despite the restaurant being moderately busy, we waited over 45 minutes for our food. I ordered liver, which unfortunately wasn't cooked very well and was swimming in oil, just like the onions. The baked potatoes and vegetables were also drenched in oil and inedible. My partner and I had stomach problems that evening. We didn't return to the restaurant.

The restaurant, the venue, the reception, the service, the appetizer, the main course, the dessert, the beer, and the wine were all impeccable. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll be back 😉

The food was delicious! Friendly staff. The portions were excellent. We had a lovely evening, and it took a while to get our food, but that wasn't a problem.

Honestly, this is by far the best restaurant in the entire county of Bentheim. We come here often, and my favorite is number 53. Everything is fresh. As a rosé wine drinker, I can highly recommend this wine!

Food: Portions were quite manageable, but tasted good. Service: Reorders for drinks were only given upon request. No one asked if everything was OK. Ambience: We sat outside; the table was set and clean. Street noise was minimized by a hedge, which also served as a privacy screen. It was OK. Overall, OK.

The food is excellent and the service is friendly. The interior reflects the Greek character of the restaurant, but it has a modern decor. You can also enjoy your meal on the terrace. On our last visit, it was full and took a while, for which the owner actively apologized. Another time, it was really quick.

Always enjoy going there. It's always very tasty, warm and friendly service and everything is always fresh and tasty. I go out to eat a lot (for work reasons), but we really enjoy going there for private purposes.

I didn't want to believe the negative reviews and see for myself. My husband had the Samos plate and I had pork fillet medallions with pepper sauce. Instead of the Greek pasta, I wanted fries with mayonnaise. My husband got his dish with fries instead of rice and I still had Greek pasta on my plate. I told the waiter that I actually wanted fries, he wanted to take the plate and correct that. I didn't want that because I wanted to eat with my husband. Salad consisted mainly of cabbage, unfortunately. I tried the noodles and didn't like them. My fillet was lukewarm and fried twice to death. The sauce was very tasty. Portion was very small for the money, I was still hungry when I left the restaurant. Conclusion: We won't come again. Too expensive for the small portion and wrong side dishes.

We were seated, the room layout is spacious and bright. Attentive staff but not intrusive. Put together a fresh salad bar yourself. Three sauces, balsamic or vinegar/oil to choose from. Music was subtle. The lamb shank with Gouda & spaghetti was super tasty and completely sufficient. There was also ouzo to warm up. Gladly again!

We were there with the entire family (6 adults and 5 children) and everyone was very satisfied. The host showed the children a few funny tricks and really took his time with them. They watched with fascination and had a lot of fun. This will certainly not always be possible, but we were lucky in the middle of the week. The prices were fair, waiting times were okay and the food was good. We would certainly come back if we were to go to Bad Bentheim again.

Incredibly good! The hosts cannot be beaten in terms of friendliness and service. Everyone was extremely helpful, attentive and patient with our kids. The food was really great. The host seemed almost like an old friend. All in all, this visit can only be described as “absolutely perfect”. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Cozy restaurant with very friendly, attentive service. The food was typically Greek and I enjoyed it, except for the salad. It was too spicy for me, but that's a matter of taste. I think it's great to be able to put together your own salad at a small buffet.

Addendum: ordered there for the second time today. One dish was wrong and another was completely missing. Coleslaw tasted very bland. Some of the fries weren't cooked properly. Unfortunately a disappointment. Fries not salted, meat not seasoned. A portion of fries was completely missing and it looked like the food had been thrown into the boxes. There was also no trace of tzatziki. Menu changed and not available online. Quite unfriendly on the phone. We will not be returning or ordering for pickup.

I had something to eat there today and I have to say I wouldn't go there a second time let alone recommend the shop. I paid 7.30 euros for mayo, it was declared under zatziki. Small portion, meat dry, if you write grill on it, I don't think it should be a contact grill, which you could tell from the burn on the meat..

All in all, always good and tasty. 👌

Delicious calamari and delicious wine/rose. Also a great restaurant in the winter months/spring. We'll be back. We are happy to make a detour for it

It wasn't dirty, but they can't call it Greek either. And then we also withhold a tip, well, sorry, but if we have eaten somewhere nice, we will leave something behind, but that was not the case at all. Just too bland and the bread was burnt... no, the Netherlands is better, sorry.

Went for dinner in February, it was not really busy and the owner said that it is busy in the summer. Very nicely decorated, delicious food, friendly service and a beautiful terrace when the weather is nice.

Eating with 7 people – pure chaos or eating in a themed restaurant If you can excel in not just one gastronomic discipline, but in several, through incompetence, that is also an achievement. Very long waiting times, incomplete and incorrect orders, language barriers, tables being cleared while not everyone is ready, thanks and pleases not being heard, a chef wiping the sweat from his forehead in the middle of the dining room... Conclusion: Once and never again

Food took 1.5 hours and then it was lukewarm. It's extremely 🔥 hot by the fireplace... everyone was sweating 😓 and despite asking, nothing was done (there were several people who were sweating like that) It's only stupid when the service doesn't come and you're thirsty!!!

Unbelievable. I have never experienced such a bizarre appearance from waitresses - completely overwhelmed, extremely unfriendly and arrogant. The food (very expensive) arrived after more than 1.5 hours, wrong and in mini portions. Nobody asked for drinks anymore. The worst Groeche ever

Quiet restaurant, correct service, it was too much to eat in one go, the rest was taken with us. Recommended!! Calamaris well prepared by the chef. Nice presentation too, the salad bar is also fine. UNFORTUNATELY, the quality of the food here has deteriorated considerably. Ordered moussaka and expected a tasty, generously prepared minced lamb/eggplant dish!! HOWEVER it was NOT!! There was a dry snack with a base of potato slices with some dry minced meat with some tomato in it, really impossible to freshen!! Told the owner and showed him, he shrugged!! Just stay away because there is no 2nd chance for me there!! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, the disillusionment was TOO GREAT!!

We were with a large group, and despite the reservation, it was assumed that we would not come. After the somewhat messy reception, we ended up having an excellent meal, the host was extremely friendly and there was some dancing. Top restaurant!

We were with a group and discussed with the owner a fixed price for the dishes. Really lots of food ,I can highly recommend the gyros. The souvlaki turned out to be a bot dry though. Very lovely owner who happened to organise a surprise for our parents and the woman in our family too, great place, lovely people!

Greek restaurant. We ate the buffet. It was good, more than adequate, but nothing special.

Been there for the first time and found it to be very good. Service is very nice and quick too. Although the restaurant was bursting at the seams, there was no sense of rush. A great idea with the buffet too. Top! Would love to come back

We were outside again within 40 minutes. Giros was dry and fried, the veal liver was also overcooked and was almost black. The fries were tasteless (in the Netherlands they often contain herbs). There was little tzaziki that contained too little garlic and no cucumber at all. My husband had the same thing as me but with rosemary potatoes....it was 1 small potato cut into 4 pieces...For the price it was quite little. Service was nice and the atmosphere was nice. But we won't be there anymore.

We ate there today under the new ownership. Today we had to wait 2.5 hours for our food. Food itself was very tasty. However, management made a very big mistake today. Seat guests at the tables without first indicating what the current waiting time is. Conclusion: the restaurant should be very full with guests...please eat somewhere else.

Really what a Greek restaurant is like. Friendly staff, you will receive a warm welcome. Menu card is fine. Even the steak is a good size.

Was there for dinner today. The service was very attentive and friendly. The boss too. The salad buffet was ok for me. The tomatoes were fresh and very tasty and so were the sauces. If you use a little olive oil with the coleslaw, it's also great. I chose the gyro with fries. I have rarely had such good gyros. The fries are suitable and with little salt. There is a salt mill on every table. With a large beer I paid €23. Not cheap but almost normal today. Oh well, there was also an ouzo as a welcome. I'll come back when I'm in the area again

Super food, friendly service!!!

No, this restaurant is definitely not recommended. What is particularly noteworthy, however, is the poor service.

We come to Bad Bentheim occasionally and have eaten here 2-3 times. The food has been ok so far, but the restaurant is always very full and we had to wait 60 minutes or longer for our food. This time too, the food didn't come until an hour later, even though we were early and there weren't many guests there yet. After others who arrived later had already been served their food, the boss realized that he had forgotten about us. Annoying but it can happen. When the food finally came, half of the gyro was burnt. Although ordered without onions, there were onions (of course you could put them aside). The dollop of tzatziki was clearly not enough for the portion of meat. Unfortunately, we now know this from other Greek restaurants. The bifteki was pale and tasted of nothing. The battle between butcher and baker, which is often fought over meatballs, seemed to have been won by the latter. We ordered rice for both dishes and were served fries. The rice was at least delivered later (probably heated quickly in the microwave). We were hungry so we fought our way through eating. However, when we were asked the obligatory question about whether we liked it, we were honest and said what we didn't like. Of course, we would like to say that we were satisfied with our previous visits. Unfortunately, the boss couldn't handle the criticism at all. His words in an indignant tone: “Please leave. You don't have to pay anything. If you don't like what you eat in my restaurant, you don't have to pay anything." Well then, we left and definitely won't be coming back.

The Staff can do Magic tricks especially the owner is really kind and funny he is the best magician in Bad Bentheim. <3

I cannot complain about this place... The staff is magical and the food was nice. The outside terrace is very nice in the sunset evenings. You can acctually learn greek on the napkins

Das Restaurant ist sehr modern und hochwertig eingerichtet und hat eine besondere Atmosphäre. Wir wurden überaus freundlich bewirtet, das Essen kam zügig und es war sehr schmackhaft. Alle waren begeistert und der Wirt hat unserem Geburtstagskind und der Gruppe einen tollen Nachtisch spendiert. Dieses Restaurant ist wirklich weiter zu empfehlen. Gruß Heidi u. Nobbi aus Hamm

Hello, I come from Northern Germany. We have some really good German here today! Get Greek food. Tzatziki €7.30, Feta Saganaki 13.50€, Suvlaki 17.50€ [ 2 skewers, handful of fries, 2 tablespoons Zazicki]. I can say that the prices really irritated me. There is no organic food, no special preparation/creativity or possibly original food served. Maybe common in this place. Then eat like this. I'm full and cycling home. Efkaristo.

This was the worst Greek place we have ever visited. We hadn't pre-ordered and were greeted quite unfriendly. The liver was tasty, but the stir-fry vegetables were completely tasteless and completely overcooked or fried. And I don't know any Greek where you don't even get an ouzo on the house when you pay. Never go there again.

Absolute catastrophe not recommended. Starters were forgotten, when asked, oh we forgot. They didn't bring it either. Salad with frozen chicken meat totally soft/ wobbly, disgusting. When I asked the staff about it, I was cheekily told that it came from the grill. I've never experienced anything like that.

It's great that it's open from 4 p.m., we like to eat early in the evening. The host is very nice and friendly and we were warmly welcomed even without a table reservation. The gyros are super tasty and fresh, the portions are okay, a little more rice would have been nice, the salad bar is okay. Tip: the ouzo! We'd love to come back.
