A very nice and cozy restaurant. We were greeted warmly and the service was generally friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty. I would like to come back.

The salad was tasteless, no sauce. The food hardly tasted, tzatziki very little. Not recommended

Gyros gratinated with champions, more stewed onions and canned champions than meat in the casserole dish. Fries way too salty. Not recommended in terms of taste. Eat there once and never again.

We were too far to eat. As soon as we sat down, we were handed an ouzo. The staff was friendly and nice. The order was taken quickly and the food came very quickly. We both had a Giro plate and were very happy with the food. The taste was very tasty and the portion was sufficient. Personally, I didn't like the coleslaw that was served. But everyone has their own taste. If I were to come to Heringsdorf again, I would eat there again. A small point of criticism is the sticky tables.

Food good, service lousy. Ouzo is probably only available as a welcome greeting. If there are three people, you are only given cutlery for two people and you have to wait 5 minutes for the missing cutlery after the food has been served. When paying, you find out that apparently no card payment is possible because the EC device is defective, even though there is a notice on the entrance door that says "only EC card payments possible". Even when we reserved a table by phone or took our order, there was no indication that payment was only possible in cash. Last but not least, you will be cheated out of part of your change.

The food is tasty. But when going to this restaurant, it is better to have cash with you. Today I had to look for an ATM, I suspect that terminal failure happens more often here

A completely overpriced Greek. We paid €135 as a family (2 adults and 2 children) and the portions were smaller than usual. So tourists are being ripped off!!!!

Unfortunately the lamb chops were not tender and quite black and the chicken breast was also underwhelming. Our soups were cooked with more water than anything else.

We recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately have to say: despite the excellent food, our overall visit was a disappointment. The food was really first class – fresh, delicious and prepared with a lot of love. BUT: A huge problem was the payment. The EC device is so outdated that it only accepts ancient EC cards! Who else has cards like that these days? Our cards - and those of other guests, as we noticed - were simply not accepted. In the end we had to quickly look for an ATM, which made the whole evening unnecessarily stressful. It's a shame because the food definitely deserved a better rating. But without functioning payment options it's a "not again" for us!

Typical Greek restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly and courteous staff. Our dog was given a bowl of fresh water as soon as we arrived. The food and drinks were very tasty and attractively presented. We can only recommend this restaurant.

People are served with double standards, some people get ouzo Others are watching. But ask for tips from everyone

The Hellas is located directly on Bäderstrasse and is therefore very easy to reach. The dining room is typical Greek restaurant style. The service is attentive, quick and friendly. The food is good. Not a highlight, but good and solid. The prices are within the usual local range. So higher than anywhere else.

Very good food. The portion is quite decent. The waiter who served us seemed quite grumpy. Not unfriendly though. The high prices, which are often criticized in the reviews, are of course also due to the tourism factor. Prices were normal for the area.

We were on vacation and had an appetite for Greek food. We then found the Hellas restaurant. The food was excellent and super tasty 😋. What we didn't like so much: The waiter brought us the ouzo before we even sat down... After the meal, the plates were quickly removed from the table - my brother-in-law was able to quickly wipe his mouth so that the waiter could take the napkin with him. You had the feeling that you were being processed quickly. It would be nice if the waiters took more time for the guests, because you should feel welcome in every restaurant.

Starter salad was not tasty. Mixed main course. Gyros was very dry. There are better Greeks in terms of taste. Cleanliness also has room for improvement. 100€ for 2 adults and 2 children. It wasn't worth it.

the atmosphere was pretty okay, they should have closed the door tho, cuz it was really windy and we sat inside because it was cold, so the open doors made it only worse. most of the waiters were nice, some smelled really bad, other constantly bumped against the chair of my friend which was pretty annoying. we are both vegetarian and there is not one single main dish on the card that is vegetarian. we could only order the side dishes. tho, the food was pretty okay.

We were warmly welcomed and seated. Our order was taken promptly and with special requests taken into account and later served that way. I had the gyros platter - gyros and suflaki were juicy and tasty. My companion had the Bifteki which was very flavorful and juicy. The service was pretty good overall. The female waiter was very friendly and attentive, the thin, lanky waiter was quite incomprehensible (mumbled a lot) and made a relatively listless impression. Overall: food was delicious. Will definitely come back.

We ate here because my mother recommended it to us. But she probably didn't understand what kind of "nice" words the service was saying. I tried to ignore this, but when 3 service people just curse? We also had to order a drink several times because it didn't arrive. Wrong and cold food arrived at neighboring tables. Payment is only possible in cash or explicitly with an EC card and the food itself is unfortunately rather mediocre.

Loveless through and through. The service was a disaster and unfortunately the food was too. Coleslaw slapped onto a plate as a side dish and decorated 0!!! I can do that on my own too. Everything was dripping with oil. The outside area has not been maintained for years. On top of that, the unfriendly service in the world. Smile? What is that ? Save your money!

I ate stuffed bifteki baked with cheese, with a side dish of rice and fries. Food was excellent. Great fries. Portion was large. Cold and warm starter plates are also highly recommended. Nice service.

Hellas. I love you! It's just perfect. Paradise... Before I sat down, the Uso was already on the table. My dish even served as a children's/senior citizen's plate. Precisely! A waiter backing away to see if a customer is calling. Where is that (still)? And all this despite the fact that the boss is in Greece. The store is working! A waitress who just stands there and observes in case a guest makes a request. And the food is soooo good hot, the way I love it. The fries perfectly crispy, seasoned and the right size :)). Come as a citizen, entertained as a queen. The prices - like everywhere else - have been raised here too and are absolutely justified in my opinion. The atmosphere is tasteful and practical. I love this appreciative menu. A great book for further education - far away from the plastic cards printed on two sides in DIN A3 format - just a (also tactile) treat! Keep it up! I would like to thank the entire team and the leader here in Heringsdorf!

We have always enjoyed coming to eat for many years, but this year was definitely our last visit because the food was just bad. Liver with red wine sauce...a "horrible feast"...

First note: Hellas was the first Greek restaurant in which we were not offered ouzo, neither as a welcome nor at the end of the meal 😟. A few guests were greeted with an ouzo. We went to the restaurant without making a reservation. We were lucky and got a table for two people. The service was inattentive and not very friendly. The food came quickly, but a dish with French fries was served, even though only rice was specifically ordered. The error was apparently noticed without our complaint, because we received an extra plate of rice shortly afterwards, but without a word of regret. The food was okay, but we would have expected something better for the prices. No lemon was served with the souvlaki, the meat was a bit dry and not seasoned in a “Greek” way, rosemary and thyme were completely missing. Our overall impression is not particularly recommendable.

We were there for dinner with 4 people, there was nothing to complain about in any way. Everything was great, cozy atmosphere, very friendly service, great food and also ideal for vegetarians! Always happy.

Cozy inside, actually okay on the outside. It's on the street so you know from the start what you're getting yourself into when you sit down outside. Service came quickly, very friendly and accommodating. Starter came after 10 to 12 minutes. Main courses about 20 minutes. The food tasted very tasty. The grilled dishes all had a real grilled aroma. The souvlaki was tender and not dry fried. The minced meatballs were very, very well seasoned and also cooked juicy on the grill. All the side dishes were also great. I think the price-performance ratio is very good for the portion sizes. We were there on a Tuesday evening and had no problems with space or waiting times. The prices are very OK for a Baltic Sea resort. Significantly higher prices are charged on the promenade.

Very tasty food! Starting with Zazicki, Bifteki and Gyros, it's delicious! Prices are completely ok for a holiday region. The only thing that wasn't evident was that the service staff were having fun, but we were still served quickly.

It was my first time there and the food itself tasted good, you can't complain, but the service was listless and quickly cleared away your plates etc. (immediately after you were finished) and they were already lurking and waiting until you had finished eating And as I said, we quickly cleared it away, my mother wanted another cappuccino but they said that the milk frother was broken. It was very unkempt outside, the lawn was too long and generally it looked unkempt, but inside it was quite good. Overall it's pretty good, I wouldn't necessarily come back here as other Greeks are much better, but you can do it. (MY OPINION)!!

I ate at "Hellas" 3 times during my summer vacation in July 2024. The ambience is good, you can also sit outside, but you can notice the traffic passing by. The waiter "Panagiotis", known as "PANO" for short, was very friendly and quick .

Fast service and delicious food, we would love to come back.

The outside area looks unkempt and almost stopped us from visiting. But you shouldn't let that fool you. The restaurant has fast service and the food is really tasty. Clear recommendation.

First of all: the food was very tasty, the service was really great. Because the weather was really nice, we sat outside, but you sit right on the street, which steals 2 points from the ambience. It looked very comfortable inside. The portions were ok, but the prices were really high.

We were in the mood for Greek and were pleasantly surprised. We liked the food, the portions were definitely sufficient and reasonable for the price. The inside of the store is beautifully decorated👍 OK from the outside We would come again.

From the outside the restaurant looks rather unlikely and outdated, but inside you will find a cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. And the ouzo was good. We'll definitely be back.

We were here today to enjoy Greek cuisine. As a starter we were given a coleslaw, which was inedible for us. It was grated so roughly that you thought it was the stalk. As a main course we ordered gyros and souvlaki. On both plates there was a tiny bowl of quark, it was supposed to be tzatziki. There was no trace of garlic and you could count the cucumber on your fingers. Instead we tasted sugar. The meat didn't taste like typical Greek spices (m.u.k. oregano), instead it tasted like spring onions, which don't belong there. When the waitress asked if we liked it and we didn't really answer, she didn't even ask what was wrong. We will never enter this restaurant again and cannot recommend it.

2. Criticism 1 year later (2024). We were in Hellas again. Again just fat chatter, with a bit of lean in between, that has absolutely nothing to do with lamb chops!! The "real" one has a so-called "stem", the other is cut differently and has 80% fat and sinew. Took a picture. See for yourself. The price per kilo between the two is €6 (plus for the landlord)!!! THE PICTURE “2023” is of course from 2022!!! Unfortunately labeled incorrectly.🙈 2023 was already the first disappointment!! The total disappointment (2023)!!!! We were there twice last year (2022) and were thrilled by the great lamb chops, they were simply delicious, fried or grilled to perfection, definitely a real treat!!! Today we are there with this positive anticipation. What we were served there was very disappointing!! We were actually served butterfly chops instead of the traditional lamb chops with a long bone and the most tender meat at the front. The same dish as a year ago, the same menu, the same description and completely fake!! The meat is of course not that tender and has a fatty edge with bits of fat in between. The price was increased from 21 to 27 euros. Guys, if I want to eat lamb chops, then I don't care about 27 or more euros, but official cheating under the motto "They're so stupid and don't notice" is an absolute no go!!! It doesn't work at all. Was probably our last visit if guests are labeled idiots. I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but THAT's not possible!!!!!

The food was a disaster. We once had a gyro plate with calamari, both of which were completely dry. The meat tasted as if it had been hanging over the grill for a week. Right on the main street - very loud - but inside it was very pleasant, nice atmosphere, we were an hour early without a reservation because the opening times were incorrect according to the website. We were still able to go in and choose a drink. Food was delicious 😋, recommended!

We had lunch here because the restaurant was recommended to us. The restaurant looks dark from the outside and at first we were unsure whether it was even open. Inside you are greeted by a typical Mediterranean atmosphere, it is clean and there are many tables with window seats available. We had bifteki once and gyros with mushrooms (baked). Next time I would choose the non-baked version because the cheese released a lot of oil/fat. But the food was absolutely delicious, the fries were crispy, the sauces were tasty. Only the salad had a little too much oil on it. The bifteki was sensationally delicious, the filling seemed fresh and homemade! The price was above average. Here you should calculate at least €20 per person per meal, and there was almost nothing below that. But we will definitely come back and try other dishes! Side notes: There is a small parking lot with three spaces right next to the restaurant and the sanitary facilities were very clean and well maintained.

The atmosphere outside was a bit unkempt, there were a lot of weeds and leaves from last autumn still lying around. Inside it looked much better, was well maintained and beautiful. The toilets were also fine, but unfortunately the soap was empty. The service was nice but a little lackluster. Right at the beginning there was an ouzo on the house. The food was very tasty, the meat was juicy, the Metaxa sauce was spicy and the salad was delicious. I also liked that there wasn't as much coleslaw as in some other restaurants, but that it was manageable. The grilled peppers are also recommended. All in all, happy again

We had dinner here yesterday. Even though we were there 20 minutes before opening, we were allowed to sit at the table and were served very friendly and immediately. Our food was tasty and the portion was very large. Special requests were addressed without hesitation. We recommend the restaurant.

Contrary to other reviews, I can't complain, neither about the food nor about the friendliness of the service staff. Only the parking space isn't that plentiful. We h Too lucky we didn't get a ticket. But that's the smallest problem.

I had dinner there today with my family and were initially quite skeptical because of the low star rating, but the restaurant impressed us positively as soon as we walked in. Even though we came in an hour before closing time, the service was very polite and nice. We were served very quickly and the food came quickly too. The calamari was very tasty and the souvlaki was incredibly juicy. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit and if I wasn't from Bavaria, I would eat here more often.

Tzatziki was more of a cream quark. The price-performance ratio doesn't match. The menu said roasted onions, but they were just steamed. My wife had pork fillets and they were really dead.

We got a table without any problems without a reservation. The staff was nice but not really welcoming, it seemed rather quick and easy Food was ok, the prices here in Heringsdorf generally seem to be significantly more expensive, a shared starter, two main courses, 2 beers and 1 wine for €68 is already expensive given the quality of the food. Food was ok, the small coleslaw was very tasty, but just ok. Can you go there?

We were there today. There was an ouzo straight away but the friendliness wasn't great. My wife's meal was good. She had pork medallions with metaxa sauce. My food was hardly seasoned and the meat was very hard. I had gyros with metaxa sauce. When the waiter asked me if it was OK I told him so but no response.

Were there in late summer. Gyros with a lot of shag and a long wait for the food even though the restaurant wasn't full. Not so well maintained outside area.
