SEE YOU SOON 👋 💪🏻🤤🤤🤤🍽️
We held our last Christmas party at ANDERS.Cafe. We were very enthusiastic about the service as part of the organization. Sebastian's friendly manner made the preliminary arrangements for our team event pleasantly uncomplicated. The large proportion of vegetarians and vegans in our company did not pose a hurdle for the ANDERS.Cafe when planning the Christmas menu. The very lovingly put together table buffet suggestions could easily be expanded to include a few meat-free/vegan options, so that everyone was happy with the menu selection. The food was highly praised at the celebration and even in retrospect we often hear that this was the team event with the tastiest menu.
Many thanks to the entire ANDERS team! You made our Christmas party a very special day. We'd love to come back! :)
Four months ago, this shop had the audacity to install a new ventilation system that was so loud that I and others are now being bothered by a loud humming noise every day. Since then I have not been able to sleep properly and my quality of life has been severely affected. Thanks in any case!
Delivery was almost on time and complete. Therefore all stars for the service. We had the shrimp and tomato soup, chicken curry and, for dessert, the tiramisu.
The shrimp soup was very tasty. The tomato soup was more of a puree than a soup and unfortunately far too sweet for our taste. The chicken curry was a pinch of salt away from being inedible, i.e. clearly too salty. The naan was great, as you would hope, and the rice was also totally fine. Everything was hot. The tiramisu (from Edeka out of the package) was tasty, but that doesn't apply to the restaurant, so it was even more of a shame that some of it was still frozen and the core had crystallized.
I really hope, should we order again, that it was just the exception. We are put off at first.
Note: Allergy sufferers should be careful, as the rice is mixed with chopped peanuts by default - even if no peanut sauce is included in the dish. This is also evident from the menu. Of course you can also ask whether this is possible without the addition.
I ordered rice with vegetables and baked chicken to take away. From my point of view, my mango sauce was more of a classic peanut sauce - quite tasty, but I missed a mango taste or the typical yellowish appearance, even if it appears that way in the photo.
The vegetables were fresh and plentiful, as was the entire portion of meat and rice. The quantity was a bit too large for my taste, but that's usually the case with Asians. In terms of taste, I expected a little more because it was a little more expensive than similar offerings in Jena at the moment and the restaurant itself isn't a visual highlight. I missed the special kick, like fresh herbs like coriander, lemongrass or similar. I would have liked to have given up a few pieces of meat for this. At home, however, they said that it didn't taste as extremely artificial as it sometimes does with Asian food. That's true too.
The chicken was pounded very thin, making it slightly dry. Overall the food was good. It is difficult to judge whether the slightly higher price of around two euros per dish is justified or is due to inflation.
The service was very friendly.
The entrance is now secured with a curtain in winter to protect against drafts. When I picked up the food at lunchtime, the restaurant was empty. There was an unpleasant smell in the entrance area, but it was no longer noticeable at the counter.
I would order there again.
