I visited the small restaurant with my 8-year-old granddaughter around 6 p.m. We were the first guests and were able to choose a table. We received a friendly welcome and friendly service. The food was delicious and we were satisfied. I can wholeheartedly recommend this small Vietnamese restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience at this Asian restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. Note: Allergy sufferers should be careful, as the rice is mixed with chopped peanuts by default – even if no peanut sauce is provided for the dish. This is also stated on the menu. You can certainly ask if it's possible without the additive. I ordered rice with vegetables and baked chicken to go. My mango sauce was more of a classic peanut sauce in my opinion – quite tasty, but I missed a mango flavor or the typical yellowish appearance, even though it appears that way in the photo. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful, as was the entire portion of meat and rice. The quantity was a bit too large for my taste, but that's usually the case with Asian restaurants. I expected a bit more flavor, as it was a bit more expensive than similar offerings currently in Jena, and the restaurant itself isn't exactly a visual highlight. I missed that special touch, like fresh herbs like coriander, lemongrass, or the like. I would have gladly done without a few pieces of meat. At home, however, they said it didn't taste as artificial as it sometimes does at Asian restaurants. That's true. The chicken was pounded very thin, which made it slightly dry. Overall, the food was good. Whether the slightly higher price of about two euros per dish is justified or due to inflation is hard to judge. The service was very friendly. The entrance is now curtained in winter to protect against drafts. When I picked up my food at lunch, the restaurant was empty. There was an unpleasant odor in the entrance area, but it was no longer noticeable at the counter. I would order there again.

Restaurant in a former barracks. There was definitely an attempt to make something out of it. Nevertheless, it somehow seems very simple and not that professional. The kitchen would have been better kept closed, not so perfect to show off and you aren't allowed to look so closely into every corner. We ordered some takeaway and were pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. Conclusion - order food for home.

We had an excellent meal here. The salmon-avocado sushi, chicken skewers and drinks selected as starters arrived after just a few minutes, with the main course immediately following. My baked chicken with mango sauce and vegetables was incredibly tasty, crispy and fresh and very plentiful. Definitely go there. A reservation would be an advantage for the evening. The bistro isn't necessarily the coziest but the food is great.

I enjoy coming here and am always thrilled!🤩 We particularly recommend the fresh fruity drinks, such as the Verry Berry or Mint Lassi! Of course also fresh and delicious food 🥘 Great selection!

I can do the pos. Unfortunately I can't understand the rating. The standard Chinese dishes consist of 90% ingredients that actually cost nothing (similar to standard Italian pizza or pasta). In my dish with udon noodles I felt like I had 50g of beef (certainly not fillet meat). In my opinion the prices are too high for what is offered. It certainly can't be due to the rent for the sorry "barrack" in which the "restaurant" is housed. However, the service was very friendly and it was clean.

One of the best two Asian restaurants in Jena. It is definitely not a fast food restaurant and is in the category of finer restaurants, despite the cheaper price. The standard dishes are about 2 euros more expensive, but not as expensive as in equivalent restaurants. I really tried a lot of things on the menu and was never disappointed. It's a really cute little shop with an open kitchen. The staff is really super friendly and you feel really comfortable. I hope the quality doesn't decrease. That's why I always like to go to Jena Nord. Another thing I wanted to note is that the sushi is really great. Of course I always take the crispy duck, but I really like the sushi. A big compliment from me

Even though I've been living right next to this restaurant for basically 6 months, I've never made it in here. Now it was finally time, and it was more than worth it: The summer rolls as a starter, the rice bowl with tofu as a main course and the mochi as a dessert were phenomenal, plus a wonderfully tasty avocado lassi - I'm once again in the absolute mood been culinary heaven. The owners are also very friendly people, so there is really no reason to wait another 6 months before your next visit.

Very inconspicuous from the outside. A small bungalow-style building very close to the Saale train station. However, the inside is cozy and nicely decorated. The food was convincing. The sushi was standard but tasted good. The sauces for the main courses are very tasty and sufficient. The staff was courteous, but one point was deducted because you often had to call someone to reorder something. However, this was not a problem due to the size of the restaurant.

The atmosphere of a barracks. Cruet is germy. The portion size is normal like any Chinese restaurant, the price is about 35% higher than any Asian snack bar. My food was cold. There will be no second visit for me.

Das Essen war klasse und hat gut geschmeckt. Die Getränke waren sehr lecker und ausgewogen. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren sehr nett und freundlich. Das Ambiente war auch schön alles dings hat die Straße ein bißchen genervt aber wenn man sich dran gewöhnt hat dann hat sie irgendwie zum Ambiente dazugehört und gut rein gepasst. Ich würde dort jeder Zeit wieder essen gehen.

Wir waren mit der Familien zu 4 Essen und waren alle sehr zufrieden. Von curry über pho bis glasnudeln war alles dabei und alles lecker. Preis Leistung stimmt. Service top. Und echt auch schnell was gut war denn wir hatten Hunger : -) Schöner kleiner versteckter Asiate/vietnamese. Von außen unscheinbar aber innen gemütlich.

Eine absolute Überraschung und Empfehlung erhält dieses einfache und dennoch ausgezeichnete Restaurant! Das Essen gehört vielleicht mit zum Besten, was man wohl außerhalb Asiens erhalten kann. Die Getränkeauswahl ist breitbandig und verblüffend vielseitig. Fassbier war zwar auf der Karte, aber an diesem Tag nicht im Angebot - Schade. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein Stern zum Fünfer fehlt, weil beim Betreten und Verlassen des Domizils der strenge Duft von WC-Duftmitteln an den direkt im Eingangsbereich liegenden Toiletten den Appetit bzw. das Rundum-Wohlgefühl etwas bremsen. Aber alles andere passt vollkommen und diese kleine Trübung des Gesamtbildes lässt sich leicht abstellen.

I had a nice experience at Work n Roll restaurant. The fried sushi with tofu (vegetarian) was truly amazing, delivering a perfect blend of flavors. The highlight, however, was the delicious fried udon noodles that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. Definitely a come back place for me!

Wir waren jetzt einige Male als Gruppe hier. Essen und das Preis - Leistungs Verhältnis sind top. Besonders die Vorspeisen und das Sushi sind sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Auch die vietnamesischen Gerichte sind sehr traditionell und lecker. Das Ambiente ist leider etwas karg und im Winter ist es im Gastraum oft ziemlich kalt. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich. Allerdings hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass öfter nachgefragt wird ob wir noch etwas trinken oder etwas nachbestellen möchten. Man kann vor Ort mit Karte und Google/ Apple Pay zahlen. Das ist sehr praktisch.

Wir haben Essen zum Abholen bestellt. Das Essen war pünktlich zur gewünschten Zeit fertig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen super lecker. Wir werden dort auf jeden Fall wieder essen!

Also wir sind von Anfang an Kunde und holen ziemlich regelmäßig Essen. Bisher war es wirklich immer super lecker und jeden Cent wert,da es in meinen Augen wirklich der beste Chinese in Jena ist….aber was war heute bitte los?! Ich hatte keine Erdnusssauce mit Kokosmilch,es hat überhaupt nicht nach Erdnusssauce geschmeckt,war einfach nur schrecklich süß und ich gehe davon aus,dass es normale Sahne (Sparmaßnahme?) war (die mir übrigens mit meiner Unverträglichkeit garnicht bekommt😏). Die vegetarische knusprige Suschirolle war einfach nur fettig und überhaupt nicht knusprig ☹️ So schade!

Super Qualität, schön angerichtet und freundliches Personal! Zwar unscheinbar aber für mich einer der besten Vietnamesen bei dem ich je gegessen habe. Selbst to-go schmeckt es super und die Transportboxen sind ebenfalls super und sehr stabil. Probiert ihn definitiv selber aus.

Direkt am Saale Kulturbahnhof wartet das Wok n Roll mit leckerem Essen. Ich fand die knusprige Ente mit Mango-Curry Sauce mega lecker 😊 Die Bedienung im Restaurant war sehr gut und der Innenraum passend gestaltet.

Tolles Essen ( Sushi od. Vietnamesisch Essen) und freudlich Bedienung. Ich werde wieder kommen.
