I ordered food for 25 people for a small function from here. The food was really tasty and all of them were really satisfied. I highly recommend this place. Best option for an Indian food in Jena.

We were here on Saturday for the first time, but definitely not the last. Friendly people and very tasty food. However, we don't get full marks for the ambience. The restaurant is one large room, so it gets quite loud when it's full.

Great food, really tasty, not just hot, but spicy. Friendly service, but the waiting times are a little longer.

Interesting room layout - from the outside you can only see the kitchen and have to go through a hallway to the back of the restaurant. The food tasted really good and the service tried very hard to keep us in a good mood. It was comfortable to sit. However, that was also necessary because we had to wait 1 hour for our food despite the restaurant being almost empty. A flatbread was missing but we didn't say anything because there was more than enough rice with it. All in all, recommendable and tasty but also with a little room for improvement above .

Highly recommended! We tried the menu here on Sunday for 3-course lunch. The Indian drinks “Yogi Tea” and “Mango Lassi” are particularly recommended. All courses were very tasty. A little caution and asking is required if you don't like coriander. The restaurant is very centrally located, but still quiet, as it is located in a courtyard on Johannisstrasse. It is beautifully designed with large murals. Unfortunately there were very few customers there. The service was good. The waiter was very friendly and reserved. The orders all came after a normal waiting time. Our 3 courses took a total of almost 2.5 hours. The only point of criticism was the beginning. We got to the restaurant and there was only 1 table occupied. No waiter watching. The next table already had cards but no drinks yet. After 10 minutes we got a card ourselves, which was at the entrance. After about 15 minutes we finally saw the waiter. He took the order at the next table and left again. Only after the neighboring table had been provided with drinks was our order taken, after about 20-25 minutes in the restaurant! Unfortunately, that's too long, as there were only two tables occupied by us. Given the delicious food, we'll definitely be back!

One of the ‘Do Not Visit’ restaurants in Jena. While I have no disrespect for the food itself, the long waiting time (at least 40-45 minutes after placing an order) leaves a negative impression that affects the overall dining experience. Think twice before visiting.

We had lunch there on a weekday. There is an extra lunch menu. The service was top and the food we ordered from the lunch menu was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is right.

I just had a vegetarian takeaway. I have to say it was a dream and an extra plus point was that I didn't have to heat it up again after 45 minutes of transporting it myself, it was at the right eating temperature, which I didn't expect! The taste was very good and the ambience, at least outside, was very nice. So I highly recommend it!

Was there on a Friday evening. We waited quite a long time for food, so it's not recommended if you're hungry. But the waiters were very friendly and the food tasted very good. The portion was - considering the price - rather small, but still reasonable. As already mentioned in other reviews, you get free mango schnapps here, which actually tasted really good.

The food was delicious, the service excellent, the place warm and pleasant, a complete experience. No, I am not an expert in Indian gastronomy, but it is a highly recommended place, the best naan bread I have ever tasted.

I can't recommend it any further. The three of us waited over an hour for our food. But the service was quite good.

We always enjoy coming to the House of India Jena for dinner. The service is always friendly and courteous, the atmosphere outside and inside is cozy and the food is always of the highest quality and quickly at the table. We have never been disappointed. This is the Indian restaurant that Jena has been missing so far.

I've been here several times now and the quality of the food is consistently good. Vegan diets are taken into account and responded to with advice and alternatives. Now an institution in Jena!

We went with a group of friends to House of India Jena. The stuff was very friendly and we did not have to wait long for the food. We had four different types of food (Masala, Korma…) which was served with rice and Naan. We felt very comfortable with that and left the place in a happy mood. If we could optimize something, we would add some Flowers or some decoration around the tables, that are in front of the restaurant…(cause it looks a bit empty gray and boring).🙋‍♀️ Still a good choice to have dinner.
