Really atmospheric eatery in town. Very busy, tables heaving with beer and food. Waiting staff with lots of energy and very helpful. Food served hot without much delay. The food was traditional and portions huge.

The older pictures no longer correspond to the current situation. It is a rustic snack bar. Pizza and the like are poor and overpriced frozen goods. You can really save yourself a visit.

Unfortunately I have to change my 5 star rating today. I had the stuffed chicken breast fillet, which I have previously rated 5 stars. Unfortunately this time it was a maximum of 2 stars, the few vegetables were burnt and half the plate was full of a gravy that didn't go well with it at all. (see pictures) It really wasn't recommended. Very nice German restaurant. The waitresses were all very attentive, nice and relaxed. It just took a while to pay. The food was really very good and tasty (schnitzel and stuffed chicken breast fillet). First there is some bread with dip. We had quark with fermented pepper and a reddish cream with onions and tomatoes... Changing from fries to fried potatoes costs 1.50 euros extra, but this was not pointed out. Although not exactly cheap, but it's worth it.

Wir waren schon von der Location begeistert und sind spontan zum Abendessen erschienen, ohne Reservierung gäbe es vielleicht keine Möglichkeit überhaupt einen Tisch zu bekommen, so voll war es. Wir haben glücklicherweise einen schönen Platz gekriegt. Ein Kompliment an die Kellnerinnen, die scheinbar mühelos durch den Kartoffelkeller schwebten.👍👍👍 Das Gebäude ist wirklich sehr urig mit riesigen Wandgemälden und tollen Dekorationen, also sehr schön anzuschauen.⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend mit zur viert gehabt mit stimmungsvoller Atmosphäre und wirklich herausragendem Service. Bei uns auf dem Tisch gab es den Pannfisch, Fleischpfanne Hähnchenbrust und natürlich Kartoffelröstitaler mit Apfelmus. Beim Nachbarstisch gabs Eisbeinhaxen, die wirklich verdammt gut aussahen. Unser Essen war auch sehr schmackhaft und alle Gerichte kamen heiß an, sahen und rochen ausgezeichnet. Wir sind zur Städtereise in Lübeck, am liebsten würden wir täglich einkehren. Wir bedanken uns beim Koch und kommen bei nächster Gelegenheit wieder.

You can get porcelain for a deposit - Food expensive but salty and with cartilage in the meat - not available within the posted opening times I found the restaurant near my holiday accommodation online and called to see if I could also order takeaway, which was answered in the affirmative. Since there is no current menu online, I went there quickly to order the food and then take it away. Only THEN was I informed that there was no takeaway and that I had to pay a €10 deposit for the plate. And it wasn't until I was paying that I found out that I could only pay in cash. I ordered a spaetzle pan with cabbage sausage and smoked cheese. For €22.80! I didn't stay there because everything looks old and it smells slightly smoky. When I arrived at the accommodation, I was really looking forward to the meal. After biting on cartilage for the second time, the appetite for meat was gone. In addition, the food was unfortunately totally over salted. I like salty food, but this was inedibly salty! Unfortunately, I was very hungry so I forced myself some more noodles. If I had been in the restaurant, I would have returned it straight away. The next day I had to adjust my vacation schedule according to the restaurant's opening times because of the plate and got there at 1:50 p.m. - according to the notice and according to Google it was open until 2 p.m. - but no one was to be found! Since the house doesn't open again until 5 p.m., I had to drive home without having accomplished anything with my expensive, inedible meal and plate for a total of €32.80. What an expensive failure!!! The Restaurant zum Moorteich gave me underground experiences (which are certainly NOT normal even in the village!!) and itself a pissed off guest!! I still have the deposit slip and will exchange the plate for my money when I'm nearby again.

We were on vacation and ate at this restaurant often. The service was great, very nice service and incredibly tasty food. We can only recommend it.

Are guests here right now. The first thing you notice is the unfriendly greeting from the service staff. You have the feeling throughout your stay that you are welcome, "customer threatens to order". We don't come here anymore and can't recommend it. The food has a canteen feel
