The fish and fried potatoes were delicious.

The price-performance ratio isn't right. Prices are completely exorbitant. A side salad should be included with these high prices! The plate is quite simple, but unfortunately lacks any frills or garnish. If you want to replace small items (for health reasons), it costs an extra €2 each – a disgrace! Very inflexible as a restaurant. Service staff could really work on their friendliness. You've barely finished eating and are still having a pleasant conversation when you're constantly getting a scrutinizing, demanding look asking if you'd like another drink, which is very annoying. Be careful with tips, as the staff like to keep the change without the customer's permission. But you're there yourself! Even the best location on the beach promenade doesn't improve things!

Mostly okay. The mustard sauce was really strong, and the fish was unfortunately thawed and not fresh. However, when asked before ordering, they were open-handed. It's a shame you can't make reservations here, and you can't pay with debit cards either—but I'm not the tax office. The atmosphere was enjoyable, though; the service was quick and very friendly. There were a few people there with children and dogs. There are seats behind a glass wind deflector and also directly on the promenade. The prices were reasonable.

I only wanted croquettes with my meal. I was told that this wasn't possible because they didn't have any left and they were needed for the other dishes... Very strange... Everything was very unfriendly. I personally find the ambiance very dark and dated... I don't think we'll be back again.

The perfect place to enjoy truly well-executed dishes made with high-quality ingredients. Those who eat a lot, or are hungry and expect a larger portion, might be a bit disappointed. The staff seem stressed, which, in my opinion, isn't something you can blame them for in a full restaurant.

Yesterday we ate two bacon and cheese burgers that were beyond good and evil. The frozen burger patties were absolute garbage, as any patty from Lidl is worlds better. It's a complete disgrace to charge money for that. My daughter's fries and nuggets were edible. Well, at least somewhat. One star too many. The service wasn't great either; it always felt like the tables outside were being occupied, and we didn't sit there sipping on two glasses of water. The atmosphere was great, but that was due to the Baltic Sea.

A fantastic restaurant with highly recommended, top-quality, and very tasty food. As always in recent years, we visited this owner-run restaurant during our stay on the Baltic Sea and can only give it positive reviews in every respect. We've known this fantastic location, right on the beach, since the restaurant opened in the 1980s (what was the name of the first owners, a young married couple?), and we know what we're saying here. Please keep it up!

Lunch for €13.50 between 12:00 and 1:45 p.m. It doesn't get any cheaper than this.

The Passat Restaurant is picturesquely located on the Kellenhusen beach promenade and offers a stunning sea view – ideal for guests who want to enjoy North German cuisine in a relaxed holiday atmosphere. The spacious, sheltered terrace right next to the beach is a highlight, especially in summer, and dog owners also appreciate that four-legged friends are welcome. The kitchen combines traditional home-style cooking with creative, seasonal ideas: Whether it's freshly pounded Wiener Schnitzel, Finkenwerder-style plaice, or the famous Lübeck fish pan – everything is prepared with fresh, regional ingredients. Soups, sauces, and desserts such as the homemade tiramisu in a jar are lovingly handcrafted. Vegetarian and even vegan dishes complement the menu – from vegan gnocchi to gluten-free versions. The service is predominantly described as friendly and attentive – the staff on the terrace (“exceedingly friendly,” “always with a joke”), in particular, receives many raves. Waiting times are usually short, and even large groups are well looked after. One minor criticism: There's no card payment option, which surprises many guests. Prices are in the upper-mid-range (approximately €20–30 per person), which is absolutely justified given the high quality, location, and portions. The only drawback: The terrace (especially before the start of the season) could be cleaner in some places – but that hardly detracts from the positive overall impression. -- Conclusion: The Passat restaurant impresses with fresh, artisanal cuisine with a regional focus, friendly service, and a wonderful beach location. Families, dog owners, and fans of Nordic fish dishes especially feel at home here. A must-visit when visiting Kellenhusen!

We were in Cologne for a few days last month. Initially, we planned to eat several times at our hotel restaurant, but after 80% convenience food on our plates the first evening, we were looking for an alternative – and here it was: good ingredients, impressively artisanal preparation, and a creative dessert. A complete success. Thank you for that. We had a rump steak, cooked perfectly rare, and a fish pan with a good piece of cod, just right, flaking slightly, and an aromatic piece of redfish. And the dessert: pistachio parfait with a basil and lime reduction, simply fantastic.

Very tasty food (pannfisch / Wiener Schnitzel), attentive and very friendly service. It was our first time there, but certainly not the last.

We had a very good meal here, with a great selection of dishes and beautifully presented. We were there in a wheelchair, and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access outside, only in front of the restaurant and not covered. But it's absolutely recommended.

Update of my review after today's response from the restaurant, which has now taken almost a year!! I realize you don't like this review! Unfortunately, your answer/reaction clearly shows how unprofessionally you deal with criticism and therefore also with your guests. 1. It's a completely honest review and it's neither rude nor unfair, just fact. 2. You haven't had any reaction at all for almost a year now, so it didn't matter (until now). 3. The burger was almost completely gone, but as the host you show interest and ask if something was wrong. But NOTHING came! As already written, the lady must have had a bad day! AND 4. You can be sure that you can do without us as guests in the future, which you are happy to do. Especially after such an answer, which I consider to be untrue and outrageous, sorry! We love spending our money where we are welcomed and treated courteously and friendly. Best regards Unfortunately I have to vent my frustration here today! We have been guests here on several vacations. The food was always ok, the service was usually good too, the ambience was good with a view of the Baltic Sea. Completely different today, unfortunately! We were greeted in a rather unfriendly manner, the lady was definitely a seasonal and tourist “damaged”! Nevertheless, as a host you should treat your guests ALWAYS Welcome friendly and with a smile! The be-all and end-all in a professional restaurant! If I had been alone, I would have turned on my heel! Then to dinner... I rarely had, Oh what, I've never had a worse burger in a restaurant in my life!!! Incredible! And that for just under 20 EUR! I'm really more than disappointed!!!! Tough, dry, bad taste, nothing fresh on the roll, the cheese was to be found, simply grade -- unsatisfactory --! Even with the big M, the burgers are actually more appetizing and tastier for me. It's a shame, especially about the money! And even though the part was three quarters back, there was ZERO interest, or no question why. You'll probably already know. I can only advise against ordering a burger in this establishment! The paddy was definitely finished goods of the worst quality! Luckily, Kellenhusen has some really good alternatives! After this experience we definitely won't come back.

Definitely recommended. I have known the restaurant since it opened 40 years ago. Went there again today after a long time. Great, ambience. Nice, polite and fast service. Well-structured menu that has something for every taste. Fish, meat, vegetarian, there is something for everyone here. The taste of the food was perfect. The wine selection was great. In summer there is also a beautiful terrace, directly on the promenade with a view of the beach and the Baltic Sea. Definitely highly recommended.

We were there for dinner 3 times. For us it is one of the best restaurants in Kellenhusen. The fish and meat dishes all taste very good and you definitely won't be disappointed. It was the first time in Kellenhusen and in the Passat restaurant. The Passat has a very nice ambience. It is always well attended. We ate at Passat several times during our stay. The food was always delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. A visit to the Passat is definitely part of my next stay in Kellenhusen.

The food is great and the service is very friendly. I can only recommend everyone to eat there when you are in Kellenhusen. The fish and the side dishes are all freshly prepared and you can taste it! The only downside is that you'll be charged an extra €2 if you want a change (e.g. fried potatoes instead of potatoes). That's what it says on the menu, but I don't think it's that great. But this doesn't change the fact that the food is great! 😊

I'll start with the arrival: Very friendly welcome and shown straight to the table. Then the offer was made to take the jackets to the cloakroom. Was it ever a flash! The service was very attentive and quick. Now for food: There were six of us and everyone was more than impressed by the quality and quantity. The food was perfect! Then the cook came to the table and asked if everything was to our satisfaction. I haven't experienced it in a long time! Everything with heart and skill. Thank you for the wonderful evening and maybe see you next year.

The cod was very salty just borderline. My wolffish was barely recognizable in the herb sauce. I found the food bland.

Update 2024: I ate here again after 1 year and it was still good! Nicely decorated restaurant with nice, friendly service. I had the burger. Fresh products, no frozen patties! Tastes good, but a bit too loose for my taste (it falls apart when cut). Maybe it can be made a little tighter? For dessert we tried the tiramisu, which was also very tasty. Price-performance is appropriate for the quality offered. Can be highly recommended...

We stopped into the beautiful Passat restaurant after reading on the sign outside that they had two vegan dishes. We ordered these and found them really tasty, as did the drinks. The service was very nice and the kitchen really tried hard and was open to new things. We will definitely come back. Nevertheless, an even larger vegan selection would be nice. We sat at tables on the terrace with a great sea view. Card payment is possible. Access is not barrier-free.

The place itself is super nice but I've never eaten as badly as I did here at the Passat. Even for free I would never eat there again and definitely wouldn't recommend it

Small but nice! Very tasty food, intolerances are not a problem. The pan pot is a real hit and all for under 20 euros. When we visit Kellenhusen, we also have to go to the Passat restaurant.

I actually rarely write a review. Actually only when I thought it was particularly bad or extremely good. Unfortunately it was really bad here! Absolutely not recommended! We're really not picky, but we're definitely not coming back! The external appearance of the restaurant is really nice. We couldn't find anything else positive. The portion sizes were small. Especially the pan dish with rump steak, pork fillet and fried potatoes. Given the portion size, hardly an adult can be full. For a (too small) main course that costs just under 30 euros, it is cheeky to charge extra for the mayonnaise and ketchup. The rump steak ordered medium was English. The burger was fried to death. The waitress wasn't surprised by our negative criticism. Apparently I've had to hear it before. The expression on her face (even at the reception) was correspondingly unmotivated, almost bitter!

Ich war mit Freunden aber auch alleine während meines Aufenthaltes in Dahme. Das Essen hat immer sehr gut geschmeckt, die Portionen ausreichend und der Service war aufmerksam. Bei meinem letzten Besuch habe ich Fisch auf Grillgemüse bestellt. Ohne Kartoffeln und habe gebeten, dass mir 2 Scheiben Baguette,dazu gereicht werden. Für das Brot wurde mir ein Betrag von Euro 1,20 berechnet. Das ist unverschämt. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne

Super nette Wirtin und das Essen ist spitze. Wir sind mit unserem großen Hund herzlich aufgenommen worden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig okay. Kann man mit ruhigen Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Steakpfanne ist ein Muss. Gute Portion und lecker. Weiterhin fällt angenehm auf, die freundliche Kommunikation,sowohl per Telefon als auch per sönlich 🤭. Weiter so und gern wieder.

Von uns 5 Sterne. Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir hatten Fisch mit Pinienkernen, Pesto Grillgemüse und Lendenpfanne mit grünen Bohnen und Bratkartoffeln. Hier wird mit Liebe fürs Detail gekocht. Service war gut und schnell wurden unsere Wünsche umgesetzt. Bei dem herrlichen Wetter sassen wir draußen, mit Blick auf die Ostsee, das Passat liegt am Rande der Promenade am Nordstrand etwas abseits des Rummels. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.Preis ist angemessen. Restaurant im maritimen Stil mit Blick auf die Ostsee,da es direkt am Ende der Promenade von Kellenhusen liegt. Trotz ständig gut besuchtem Lokal eine sehr gemütliche und ruhige Atmosphäre. Das Essen kam frisch,heiß auf den Tisch. Geschmacklich hervorragend!!! ( Büsumer Krabbensuppe und Fischpfanne mit Steinbeißer). Jederzeit gerne wieder 😀

Super Restaurant, bin rundum begeistert. Sehr gutes, frisches und von Hand zubereitetes Essen. Sehr viele kreative Speisen und vor allem auch verschiedene vegetarische und vegane Speisen. Portionsgrösse optimal aus meiner Sicht. Ich hatte die Gemüse Pfanne mit Ziegenfrischkäse, toll gewürzt mit frischen Kräutern und frisches Gemüse (keine Tiefkühlkost!). Weil ich mich so wohlgefühlt habe, da das Essen so lecker war, Ambiente, die Bedienungen und Köchin und Koch so nett und zauberhaft waren war ich jeden Tag dort. Bei den Burger gibt es selbstgemachte Brötchen und Saucen, super lecker und verträglich. Die selbstgemachten Spätzle sind auch lobend zu erwähnen, ich als Oberschwäbin kann definitiv bestätigen, dass sie wie bei Oma schmecken. Finde es so toll, dass es heute zu Tage noch Restaurants gibt, die keine Fertigprodukte verwenden sondern selbst noch Teig machen, selbst die Kartoffeln schälen und kein Glutamat und co verwenden sondern Kräuter und eigene Saucen machen und verwenden.

45 Minuten warten für eine Waffel mit Kirschen ist einfach zu lange. Leider ist dennoch Vogelkot auf den Fensterbänken Die Kinder hätten bald wieder Abendbrot essen können.

Hier passt alles zusammen: sehr leckeres Essen, nette Atmosphäre und eine tolle Außenterrasse die gut geschützt ist. Preis - Leistung passt, hochwertig und frische Küche, nette und schnelle Bedienung. Gerne weiter so, wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder 👍
