Although we have been regularly spending our summer holidays in Kellenhusen for several years, this year we went to La Chance for the first time. The menu offers, among other things, very interesting oriental mezze and some selected oriental main dishes. The portions are generous and the food tastes great. Highly recommended is the oriental starters, which can also be prepared vegetarian. Finally, the warm chocolate cake with ice cream is an absolute dream. We liked it here so much and enjoyed it so much that we went to La Chance several times during our holiday week and will definitely come back next year. Finally, I would like to emphasize one more thing: The service at La Chance is perfect. We have rarely experienced such a good-humoured, polite and charming waiter as in this restaurant! Absolutely recommended!

5.0 points for “La Chance by the Sea”! Six of us ate there (4 adults and two children) and were greeted very friendly and asked whether we would prefer to sit outside or inside. The drinks were all very tasty (especially the homemade iced tea is recommended) and were served quickly. We only had to wait a few more minutes for the main courses. We ordered pizza & fries (for the kids), baked potatoes and surf'n'turf across the menu and everything was excellent! The Surf'n'Turf, consisting of lamb fillet and prawns, was fried to perfection and with the truffled mashed potatoes and other side dishes it was a dream!!! We were happy to pay a little more for this because the quality and preparation were 100% right! Many thanks to the “La Chance am Meer Team” for the delicious delicacies! We'd love to come back!

We've often eaten very well at La Chance and today we celebrated our birthday there with 8 guests - it was lovingly decorated, with a surprise at the end and great food! The service was totally attentive and courteous, even extra requests were fulfilled quickly and happily. We are totally thrilled! The changes made from 2023 to 2024 have been very good for the restaurant. By far the best food on the promenade (and something different, especially compared to all the "beach promenade standards"). In terms of price, it's just beach promenade - but here you also have the feeling that you're getting value for money.

Just class. The menu has something for everyone. Whether vegan or lamb, it tastes good and the prices are reasonable. A nice greeting to the kitchen :)

This was the third time we've eaten here in 2 weeks. Everything was tasty. The service is super attentive. There is an extra children's card for the kids to color in.

Ein super herzliches Team und ein freundlicher Chef empfangen einen. Das Essen ist gut, die Atmosphäre stimmt. Wenn die Terrasse voll ist, man trotzdem draußen sitzen mag, wird sich um eine Lösung sehr bemüht und ein Tisch noch herangebracht. Erzogene Hunde (man möchte ja in keinem Lokal mit einem kläffenden Hund sitzen) sind herzlich willkommen.

We were warmly welcomed at the entrance with our children and four-legged friends. Very friendly waiters who responded very lovingly to the children's wishes in a relaxed manner. In wonderful weather, we ate the delicious food in the outdoor area with a view of the sea. For dessert, the children went with the waiter to choose their favorite ice cream. This restaurant is really great. Everything is alright. The way the food is prepared is how it tastes, simply great. The service is very nice and accommodating. The ambience fits the whole thing.

We had dinner at La Chance today. We were given the warmest welcome. We got a nice place with a view of the Baltic Sea. The service was attentive, super friendly and concerned about our well-being... But the food itself was a complete disaster. The currywurst was cold, the salad probably came from a bag with lots of wilted leaves and the fries and also the kofta were dripping with fat. Everything probably just came out of the deep fryer jaggedly. What a shame, the rest was true, but what really mattered was the food! Didn't work at all!!!

The food was edible, but unfortunately that was it. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is simply not right. There are cheaper and better alternatives to eating out around the corner. The ambience outside was nice, but that's not difficult to achieve given the location.

Food overpriced instead of cod fillet strips you get fish nuggets for 16.90 a bit expensive. The salad for 12.90 also lacks a bit of pizzazz and is swimming in oil.

On Friday, before departure, we once again enjoyed the ambience and the perfect service of La Chance by the sea. As always (we were there for the 5th time), the food was very good. Particularly worthy of mention are the two waitresses, Raffael and Timo. Who are always in a good mood and motivated.

We were in Kellenhusen for the first time. La Chance by the sea impresses with its friendly and committed staff. Always a “smile” on your lips. Perfect service with very good food. The ambience impresses with its cleanliness and well-selected music in the background. La Chance by the sea is a MUST for every holidaymaker. Raffael and Timo are the heart of La Chance by the sea.

4 out of 5 stars for the ambience because you could theoretically sit on the beach in Hawaii. ;) We came here for pizza and we were blown away. This was the best restaurant visit in several years. Such a level of politeness, friendliness, charm, competence, speed and food quality has become a sought-after rarity in Germany and in our opinion this restaurant is unparalleled in this respect. We live 150km away and every visit to the Baltic Sea now, we think, inevitably leads past this restaurant. Thank you for this experience and keep having fun with your work. :)

Unfortunately the food arrived cold, even though it was only a 5 minute drive away! Pizza was pretty sparsely topped for the money, but I didn't try it again! Delivery time was great!

A must when traveling in Kellenhusen. You are very welcome as a guest. Skillfully tapped Holsten, very tasty freshly prepared food with a view of the sea completes the perfect stay. Timo, one of the waiters at LA CHANCE ensures a personal feeling of well-being. When you walk towards the promenade you immediately want to turn right into LA CHANCE. Thank you for the great time.

Update 2024: Extremely friendly and helpful service, we were very satisfied! A few new dishes, but I stick with the La Chance salad with shrimp, which consists of several lettuces (not just cheap iceberg like some others) 2023: One of our favorite places right on the beach promenade for years. Apart from the delicious food as usual, there were new tables and chairs that we really liked. We would be happy to come back, our dogs are also welcome 😊

We were there last night and absolutely loved it! We initially sat in the beer garden and later moved to the restaurant because it started to rain. Timo knew how to round off our first day of vacation perfectly. He is funny, attentive, not pushy and was in a really good mood! Thank you for this great first evening in Kellenhusen!!

We were there and I have to say, I'm thrilled. The service was great. Immediately greeted in a friendly manner, and of interest to dog lovers. Dogs are allowed. The ambience is very well done. The music in the background is just right in terms of volume. The waiters brought our dog a water bowl themselves. The portions were really good. See pictures. The fish platter for 1 person (lots of choice) fish was tender and as it should be. My pizza with shrimp was super fluffy and spread out nice big shrimp. The homemade iced tea was sweet and very fruity. I can only recommend that you drive past there, take a stop and enjoy not only the view but also the delicious food.

We have eaten at La Chance am Meer several times and have always been very satisfied with the food and the service. We particularly liked the new dishes on the menu, such as the kofta, across all generations, but the pizzas also always taste great. We would always recommend La Chance am Meer.

Absolutely deserved 5 stars! Mega nice employees who greet you very friendly! The food was amazing! From plaice to children's dishes, really great and fresh! We don't understand why it only has 4 stars. Our little daughter would like to come back and then eat FISH AND CHIPS. She tried that on me and thought it was great

During a visit to your restaurant I wanted to comment on the following. The ambience was really good and there was a fireplace on. Cozy and a great view of the pier. The food: We had pizza and schnitzel. The pizza looked very good and according to my wife it was very tasty. Now we come to the schnitzels. We had 3x Wiener Schnitzel According to my in-laws, the fried potatoes were tasty and my fries were nice and hot and tasty. The schnitzels, well. I'm not a fan of ready-made schnitzels and not at this price either. Here you should think again. The salad came with a ready-made sauce from a bottle, bag or bucket. Guys, it doesn't take much effort to conjure up your own dressing. The salad was pimped up with pomegranate seeds. Together we paid around 88 euros. 4 dishes with 4 drinks and 2 schnapps. All in all, given the location and the ambience, I would have liked a real schnitzel here. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and attentive.

We went there at the weekend and really enjoyed it, the food and service were simply top.

We ate here 4 times in the evening. Of these, once there was the wrong food, once there was the wrong drink and once there was no food at all. The service outside is very nice and does its best. After ordering, the implementation always fails. We decided that if you want a reliable evening, you should go somewhere else or you don't care what or if you get anything from your order.

We were there for the first time and immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The service was very, very attentive, we never had empty glasses, and every extra request was fulfilled with a smile and genuine joy. The food was also excellent - compliments to the boss! We even got a pack of cigarettes from a neighboring bar. We would come back at any time. Best regards and many thanks go out to Timo and Saller (hopefully spelled correctly).

Completely underrated with four stars. We ended up at La Chance with our children by chance. The staff was very friendly, the view was great and the food was top notch! Even my wife, a vegetarian, was completely happy. The food was on the table in about ten minutes and by then the children were provided with pencils and coloring books. I cannot understand the current rating of ONLY 4.0 stars.

Great location with beach views and cozy interior. We were there to drink coffee and just because of the really great service it was top value for money. The staff was attentive and very friendly and "hospitable". Great for me and would be happy again. A small note as an improvement, cobwebs on the urinal right next to the face. But that can easily be changed.

We tested it for the first time last year and sat in it. Hundreds of little flies on the corners of the windows that constantly flew into your hair. My child was sitting on some kind of sofa, we moved the table and a lot of dirt came out. The schnitzel I ordered was really small for the price, but I don't know what it will be like in 2022!!! We then wanted to try La Chance again, but the pizza maker was out several times, so we moved on. Last week we were there again and sat outside. Really beautifully located with a view of the water. The meal took 1.50 hours. Pizza was very thin, but well topped and very tasty! (but the waiting time was really too long) The toilets were my drawback. There are really well-kept toilets along the way, but in the restaurant on the inside edge of the lid it was ugly. You can also see everyone through the huge slit in the toilet doors ;) Dear La Chance team, this great location remains well-preserved for the guests, but please think about a few points. All the best! The pizza definitely gets stars! The pizza is now the best dish and the rest has improved!

Quite a nice restaurant. Unfortunately the heating didn't work. You can't reserve a table by phone. The food was mediocre. The Riesen Currywurst was a completely normal currywurst. Unfortunately, you were also playing on your cell phone when you ordered food to take away. Perfect location to the pier. I expected much more for the price!

Delicious burgers and a great view

Our experience this year at La Chance: Table reserved for the day after next, at the front. first row on the promenade, 2 people. We come to the appointment (6 p.m.), but are not on the reservation slip. “Have you made a reservation?” we are asked. Uh, of course we made a reservation. The young lady with whom we made a reservation also comes. Asking if she remembers us. No she can not. There was no way she took a reservation for us. “Does she have a twin sister who also works there?” we ask. No of course not. We were then graciously assigned a cat table and then punished us by having to wait 50 minutes for our food after ordering our food. Then our food came, one was right, the other wasn't. But that was immediately followed up. I give it 2 stars because: - the food was really very good - the service outside was very attentive. Our feeling after leaving the restaurant: we were assumed to have never made a reservation. But we have!

Delicious food and friendly, courteous service!

If you want to eat well, please go somewhere else. I have never experienced being served a ready-made pizza in a restaurant. Especially not at such a price. The waitress was more absent than present, the music was far too loud. Definitely the first and last visit for us.

Well the quality of the food definitely left something to be desired; Portions definitely too small for the price, service didn't ask if everything was OK; Pity. Something should change here in the future; (unfortunately) we won’t be back 😞

Zuerst: Der Service war wirklich nett und schnell. Die bestellten Getränke -2 Pils - kamen auch kalt und mit Schaumkrone an den Tisch. Insofern dafür 4 Sterne...aber leider fällt das Essen durch: Bestellt haben wir 2 Pizzen: der Teig labberig und überhaupt nicht kross und luftig. Das erinnerte leider an eine nicht richtig durchgebackene Fertigpizza. Der Belag war zwar in Menge vorhanden, verursachte aber im Nachhinein ein nicht angenehmes und langanhaltendes "aufstossen". Da ist beim Essen wirklich noch eine Menge Luft nach oben. Schade ! Insgesamt - und nur wegen dem guten Service und der schönen Lage am Meer - noch 2 Sterne.

Wir waren zu sechst an einem Samstag mittags dort essen. Superleckeres Essen (trotz oder vielleicht auch gerade wegen einer überschaubaren Speisekarte). Ein sehr guter Service. Auf besondere Wünsche wegen Jodsalzunverträglichkeit wurde eingegangen und eine sehr gute Lösung angeboten. Dazu war ein aufmerksamer, freundlicher und kompetenter Mitarbeiter für uns zuständig. Kleiner Punktabzug für die doch etwas lautere Musik. Aber der nächste Besuch in Kellenhusen wird uns wieder in dieses Restaurant führen.
