Das Essen ist lecker und auch reichlich. Das Ambiente ist nicht so toll, welches das leckere Essen aber wieder gut macht.

Selbstbedienung ist ok. Der Service ist dennoch unterer Standard. Wir wurden als Gäste sehr schroff behandelt. Das ist für uns ist. Grund, dort nicht mehr einzukehren. Werde es auch nicht mehr weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier. Das Essen war sehr lecker.

Richtig gut zu einem absolut fairen Preis gegessen. Wenn wir in der Nähe sind gerne wieder.

Super Selbstbedienungsrestaurant mit nettem Personal, superleckerem Essen und großen Portionen. Wir sind hier während unseres Urlaubs zweimal eingekehrt und waren beide Male rundum zufrieden.

SB- Restaurant mit gutem Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ! Frisch gezapftes Bier wird an den Tisch gebracht, frische Salate und frischen Fisch, wir kommen gerne wieder 🫶🥰

Im Prinzip funktioniert das Promenadenbuffet wie eine Kantine. Hinter einer langen Theke kann man in der Auslage den frischen Fisch sehen und N der Rückwand die Speisekarte sehen. Man ordert am Ende der Längsseite seinen Essenswunsch, erhält einen Abholzettel, mit dem man an der Kasse bezahlt. Dann wird der "bezahlt" gestempelt und man wartet bis die Abholnummer aufgerufen wird. Entweder setzt man sich dann an einen Tisch im gleichen Raum oder geht durch eine Tür in den Anbau, der eine Art fester Pavillon, aber sehr groß ist mit stabilem festen Dach und vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Getränke gibt es in Flaschen und man ist grundsätzlich per Du. Das macht die Atmosphäre familiär und man hat weniger das Gefühl aus essen zu gehen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist dabei mega. Guter Fisch oder leckere Currywurst wechselnd mit Pommes, Kartoffelsalat oder Bratkartoffeln ist möglich. Änderungen an der Speisekarte kosten allerdings Aufschlag. Anregung: Baukastenpreise machen es fair und transparent. So oder so: das Promenadenbuffet ist ein "must see" und selbstredend kann jedes Gericht au h nach Hause mitgenommen werden.

Great selection of food...very clean...friendly staff...even kids will find something tasty here...and parents can save money because the prices are great!!! Visited again after 2 years and it's still great. (October 2025)

First impressions count here. From the outside and inside, it looks like a cafeteria. I ordered three potato pancakes with apple sauce to try. The price of €4.99 sounds fair at first. The quality and taste, however, were not good. It was drowned in grease. I complained and demanded my money back. Both chefs then told me it was frozen. I was neither refunded nor compensated in any other way. I wanted to try other products here, but such simple, lousy potato pancakes completely lost my mind.

They're really good at fish. The food is really well-seasoned, appetizing, and served hot. People with dogs are also welcome here. Unfortunately, this isn't often the case in Kellenhusen's restaurants anymore.

The food is great. The ambiance is a bit snack-like, but OK. The service is also very friendly. The downside, as with many businesses here in Kellenhusen or Dahme, is that they consistently insist on cash payments. Absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately Yes, yes, the fees, the poor "network"... Very unfriendly, we were immediately asked to leave our dog outside. We've never experienced that in a restaurant, shop, or anywhere else.

It's a self-service restaurant, but we knew that. The food – our fish plate with fried potatoes – was amazing – super crispy! It was served with delicious remoulade and mustard sauce. Highly recommended.

The food was okay. But when I was asked if I wanted ketchup or mayo with my fries, I said, "I'd love both, if that's possible." The bill was €1.20 more expensive. If I was going to ask if it was possible, it should have been noted that it costs something. The menu only says "with various dips" and nothing about extra charges. I don't need that again.

You can order rice pudding with red berry compote, but it was cold and you could taste that the red berry compote wasn't homemade.

The food in this self-service restaurant is truly delicious. The fish is very good, and the fried potatoes and fries are also delicious. I find it cheeky that each change to an order costs €1.50. Furthermore, card payments aren't accepted. When the food is ready, the corresponding number is called out. To pick up your food, you have to weave your way through the queue and back out again. Unfortunately, this isn't well-organized. For this reason alone, it doesn't get full stars. But if it's purely about the food, it's a really good place to go.

Finally, a restaurant on the beach promenade where the price is right! Very friendly, very good food, large portions, and everything is relaxed. We'll be back!

A simply furnished self-service restaurant, a plastic bag with a cafeteria feel. We had Lübecker Pannfisch plain with fried potatoes and mustard sauce. The fried potatoes weren't bad, actually, with bacon and onions, but unfortunately they were completely oversalted. The mustard sauce was thin and completely tasteless, and the fish was dry. It was recommended to us as the best restaurant in town, albeit without any ambiance. Unfortunately, the food also failed. If you still want to try it, don't leave your cash at home; no card payments.

We have been eating there on vacation for around 6 years and have never been disappointed. Simply and simply good. If you don't have a problem, you have to get the food yourself like in a canteen. No conditions at the table. Price performance very good. Again and again.

We've been coming to Kellenhusen for years and eat here often. Friendly staff, and the food is plentiful and tasty. There are always some complainers, but they certainly can't cook for themselves. We haven't had a single bean rind in all these years. ☺️

Good food and relatively cheap for a place by the beach

Cafeteria atmosphere (self-service restaurant) meets delicious food. Dishes are just as delicious as last time.

We've eaten here several times and were always very satisfied with the quality of the fresh, naturally fried fish with boiled potatoes or delicious fried potatoes. I'd also like to emphasize the friendly service. We'll be happy to return to the Promenaden Buffet right on the beach in Kellenhusen.

We stumbled upon this simple fish restaurant quite by chance. It's a self-service restaurant. I find the quality of the food to be excellent. The fish is fresh (not "block fish")! The fried potatoes are also freshly cooked. I've eaten here three times now. The fish was always hot, the wait time was reasonable, and the price was also reasonable. I've only ever eaten fish, although they also serve fries/currywurst and other dishes. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend the restaurant.

This was our first time there on this vacation, but we've already been there twice... because it's simply delicious, the staff is always super friendly, and it's very refreshing! We'd love to go back!

We would have liked to come back to the restaurant yesterday. Some for the first time, some had been there several times. We are a group of 10 middle-aged adults. We would have loved to sit on the terrace, but were "loudly" denied this by the manager or staff!! The banal reason was that we wanted to put the cheap plastic furniture outside together for the duration of our stay. As already mentioned, there are 10 of us. Okay, everyone has their rules, and the rule of this place is that they don't want tables put together. There's also a notice posted, but we accidentally missed it. So far, so good... In any case, the employee stormed out of the restaurant, loudly yelling at us that it was his place with his rules and we should "fuck off." That's what we did, and we spent our money on food and drinks for 10 people in a nice restaurant. You have to assume this place doesn't need it!!! Absolutely outrageous...we've never experienced anything like this before, anywhere!

The Promenaden Buffet in Kellenhusen is a self-service restaurant. There are mainly fish dishes here, which are really very good and cheap. I have been coming here on and off for 20 years and can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

I can highly recommend this place. The food is very tasty. The price-performance ratio is great and the best in the whole place. The food is fresh and prepared in front of you. Friendly staff and Self-conditioning. However, no card payment is possible. A regular guest for 15 years and never disappointed.

For us, the Promenade Buffet in Kellenhusen is simply a must visit on every Baltic Sea holiday. We ate here when I was a child and will continue to do so. Although you won't find an upscale atmosphere with a string quartet or extravagantly prepared course meals here, you will find honest home cooking at honest prices in a cozy atmosphere. We hope that the promenade buffet will remain in its form for a long time to come.

The best fish restaurant on the Baltic Sea. And if you don't like fish, you can get delicious schnitzel, sausage and meatballs. The cod fillet with fried potatoes is top, but all other fish dishes are also freshly prepared. Everything is fresh, the home-peeled potatoes and also the tapped Elbschloß, light or dark. Chapeau for the outstanding quality at humane prices in the current times.

Went to the restaurant this afternoon and ordered 2 different fish dishes. Both were inedible. The fish was completely fried and the breading was like rusks. We were surprised that there were more staff than guests present. Now we know why. Of course, after trying them, we left both menus and personal criticism was responded flippantly. We won't be going there a second time.

This is the first time we've been here in years because we discovered the large outdoor area by chance. The salad plate with fish is really recommended. For my taste there could have been a little more green salad on it. I ordered the tomatoes; they form the bed of lettuce alongside corn, onions, cabbage, carrots and cucumbers. Dressing is tasty and sufficient. For dessert we got rice pudding. Big portion. I can't say whether it's really homemade. However, the red jelly was a finished product. Still tasty.

Frittierte Kost für viel Geld! Wer das mag,ist dort gut aufgehoben. Das Leistungsniveau ist nucht besobders hoch,wie überall an den Prominaden der Küste. !!!!! 4 Fischstäbchen mit Hand voll Pommes 7,20€ !!!! Und das bei Mitnahme,also gesenkter Märchensteuer. Mayo natürlich extra.

We often go there for fish dinner when we are in Kellenhusen. The fish is freshly fried without breading, which we like better. The fried potatoes are delicious, but sometimes a little too greasy for us. The parsley potatoes are well portioned and also very well cooked, not too firm. We are always very satisfied.

Went to the self-service restaurant today, great concept without long waiting times, very fair prices for the location on the promenade. And best of all, a great meal with freshly prepared fish, simply delicious.

Food is freshly and attractively prepared. I really only go to the Promenade Buffet to eat fish. Yes, self-service, every restricted guest is served.

Selbstbedienungsrestaurant, frischer Fisch 🎏 wird gebraten. Bratkartoffeln sehr ölig. Im Verhältnis zu den anderen Restaurants an der Promenade noch günstig. Dafür ist das Ambiente gleich null, allerdings viel Platz vorhanden. Man wird satt. Zum Essen gehen gehört nach meiner Vorstellung eine gute Atmosphäre. Heute kann man schon froh sein, wenn man satt wird und nicht angepflaumt wurde.

So funktioniert ein SB Restaurant. Lecker gegessen und getrunken.

It's a shame that the restaurant can't be beamed to Hesse. Service great food great selection gigantic staff just great. We got our food from there 10 times in two weeks and were thrilled. Please keep it up. P.S. The prices are world class for the quality!!!

Da ich die vielen positiven Rezensionen gelesen habe, sind wir zum Fisch essen in dieses Restaurant gegangen. Da es ein SB Restaurant ist, ist klar, dass der Service ein anderer ist, als im "normalen" Restaurant, aber Freundlichkeit kann man auch hier erwarten. Die Essensauswahl und der Geschmack sind gut, die Portionen im Bezug auf Preis Leistung ok. Das Restaurant ist im 80er Charme gehalten, etwas altbacken, aber sauber.

Imbissbude bleibt Imbissbude.Das ist Essen ist nicht schlecht. Das Ambiente ist wie in einer Kantine. Dafür sind die Preise überhöht.Für Beilagensalat 4,90 Euro ist unverschämt.

Unser Stammlokal für "mal eben ne Bratwurst mit Pommes ". Aber auch Fisch kann man hier sehr gut essen. Service immer freundlich. Lediglich das Ambiente könnte etwas schöner sein. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen, frisch zubereitet, freundlicher Service. Ein Besuch im SB Restaurant ist Pflicht in jedem Kellenhusenurlaub :) Fitnessteller Fisch ist mein Favorit.

Der Fisch wurde frisch zubereitet. Laut Bedienung sind alle Fische (fang)frisch und auf Eis gelegt- „sieht man doch“. Auch der Lachs. Das kam uns ein bisschen suspekt vor, aber ok. Wir habe einmal was zum mitnehmen gehabt, einmal vor Ort gegessen. Unterschiedliche Erfahrungen. Das eine Mal war der Fisch kaum gewürzt, beim anderen Mal wars ok. Allerdings schon sehr fettig. Die Beilagen sind sehr simpel. Gemütliches Ambiente nicht vorhanden. Es ist halt eine Kantine und kein richtiges Restaurant.

Super lecker Fisch zu annehmbaren Preisen

Mega frischer Fisch, sehr leckere Bratkartoffeln und der Service ist auch nett und freundlich. Alles hausgemachte Köstlichkeiten. Fazit: Verdiente 5 Sterne.

Preis / Leistung einfach unschlagbar! Alles frisch und lecker zubereitet, so wie man es sich wünscht! Weiter so !!!
