I had salad with pork knuckle, bombastic!

The service was very friendly and always prompt. As for the food, I found it relatively expensive for the quality. The food was quite okay, but the spaetzle tasted very standard and the meat in the knuckle was quite dry. Overall, I would rate the food as "satisfactory."

The ambiance is good. The dish served, a schnitzel with a very thin cheese sauce, was not delicious. I had the impression that the schnitzel was industrially produced. What a shame.

The inn isn't a typical German restaurant like I've experienced elsewhere. The ambiance is rustic. The service is friendly, but simply average. Plates and cutlery were left at the table. The food is precisely the reason why this restaurant was all about speedy service. I looked at the menu and, presto, the food was already there. The vegetables were good, the meat was too dry, and the Leberkäse, with its curled-up corners, was trying to say, "Don't eat me." I ate it anyway. The oil from the fried potatoes was rancid, and I later got a stomachache from the poor quality. Therefore, only seek shelter there if it's raining or too cold or too hot.

We felt very lucky as we didn't hace a booking. But e got a sear.

Can't understand the good reviews for the food. Chicken was rock-dry and quite salty, cheese spaetzle was very greasy and lacking in spice. I don't have to go there again.

I can highly recommend it, the food is very good in my opinion. I ate schnitzel with chanterelles, and the schnitzel was fried as if it had been fried in butter. The price-performance ratio was great. The employees were really on their toes and also very friendly and accommodating, which was reflected in the tips. And it was full!! You'll be happy to come back and eat something there.

A rustic locarion on two levels. Very clean. But also quite loud when it's full. The service was great. Very friendly staff who are also attentive and quick. Very rare these days. And an extra star for that. The menu was almost your size for me. Simply because I'm always constipated when it comes to making decisions and everything reads deliciously. The food we ordered came quickly and was great. Sufficiently large portion even for the men and extremely tasty. Conclusion: We will definitely come back.

We were at an event at the Wunderino Arena. Since the restaurant was nearby and we had a craving for Bavarian specialties, we went there for dinner. The food is delicious. The selection is very good, and there's something for everyone. The service was very courteous and quick. The ambiance was also perfect. Unfortunately, the restaurant is too far from where we live, so we won't be going there very often. But if we're ever in Kiel again, we'll definitely stop by again. Full marks, it truly deserves it!!

I don't know if we were starving, but everything tasted heavenly. Everything was so delicious! The creamed soups, the meat, the beer in the cold of autumn last year.

Very cozy, rustic restaurant in the heart of Kiel, not far from the pedestrian zone. We reserved a table there for 6 people in the evening. The food was served quickly, very tasty and reasonably priced.

Very nice service, which was super fast and the food also came within a very short time. Ideal for grabbing something to eat before a performance in the arena.

Unfortunately we were unlucky with the service on a Saturday evening. We had pre-ordered for 7 people, unfortunately one canceled at short notice in the evening for health reasons. As soon as we got to the door we were rudely informed that a flat rate was actually due for this and that cancellations at such short notice were bad for business and that guests had to be sent away because of us... after numerous apologies from the remaining 6 (!) people we were then allowed to take a seat. Even though we hadn't even taken off our jackets yet, we had to order drinks quickly. Very uncomfortable start to a long planned evening! The food was okay (frozen vegetables aren't my thing personally, but oh well), the service was brisk, snotty and unfriendly. We had an older and unfortunately not entirely healthy gentleman with us who politely asked for a small portion. “There’s no such thing as small here, you have to be hungry here!” I had to eat my stir-fry from the hot cast iron pan; there was no plate. While clearing away, we said to our friend: “Well, look, you ate your portion well,” as if to a moronic patient…Unpleasant. When clearing up, “You have to hand it to me, young woman, I don’t have that many hands.” Conclusion: Food is okay, a bit of restraint and friendliness would be appropriate when it comes to service. In any case, we were served due to the unfortunate reception.

Hello everyone was there for Schnitzel Day. It seemed like TG goods to me. Or the schnitzel was made somewhat inexpertly.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. The kitchen closed 2 hours before closing time, which left us without a chance to eat anything else. Kitchen opening hours should be communicated more clearly to avoid such misunderstandings in the future. Ambience was otherwise fine, but due to the kitchen closing early, I probably won't come back in the future.

The inn: The furnishings are rustic and quaint. So it fits very well with what this restaurant promises on its website. But with the service and the atmosphere unfortunately trampled. In addition to the furnishings, the advantages of this restaurant also include the large and reasonably priced portions, which unfortunately don't taste quite as good as they look. The waitress wanted to tell us when to order spirits. I've never experienced it before. I still find it strange the day after. The drinks and food were ordered quickly but were accompanied by comments from the waitress. The food was plentiful but the taste was rather so-so. In the pictures are the “Heichte Wirtshaus Pfanne”, “Apfelstrudel” and “Kaiserschmarrn”. The hearty Wirtshaus pan was well stocked, but the fried potatoes, the meatloaf and the 2 bratwursts unfortunately flew past the pan and were therefore not crispy. The vegetables were 1a and the meat was also great. The apple strudel was excellent and the highlight of what I saw. I wouldn't have expected ice cream, cream, vanilla sauce and decoration after being so disappointed with the main course. The Kaiserschmarrn was plentiful but the raisins and almonds were hard to find. What you have to take credit for are the 2 pots of warm apple compote and warm vanilla sauce. At the table next to me, a person was eating alone and simply watching videos on his cell phone. I've experienced better behavior in fast food restaurants. Someone was talking loudly on the phone at the table opposite. The only question is why because he didn't eat alone. The men's sanitary facilities are clean and in the same style as the rest of the restaurant. But what's wrong with the faucets? Washing my hands almost became a disaster when a strong and short-lasting jet of water was shot at my hands. In addition, the Isana own brand hand soap, which stands alone and lost on the large hand basin, does not fit into the ambience. That could be improved.

The second time it was relatively empty. Apparently everything was reserved and they wanted to sit me at a small cat table. Then I left and ate somewhere else. When I walked past 1.5 hours later, everything was still empty. Here I ask myself why people treat well-paying guests this way or why they plan so poorly.

Just had something to eat and drink in the inn. 1 measure of banana yeast €9.70 and a potato soup with caraway bread for €7.40. Of course there is a lot more to eat such as: Varieties of schnitzel, steak, fries, several soups, kale dishes, ice cream and other desserts, etc. But the delicious potato soup with caraway bread was enough for me in the evening. I could also have used a pretzel instead of bread. Beer selection is also very good. The service was really great. A nice lady welcomed me very nicely and gave me advice about what to eat. I come from Berlin and like other versions of it food. Soup was really delicious and was of course different than in Berlin. But highly recommended. 5 stars everywhere because everything was really great. I'd love to come back. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any photos because my cell phone was empty from the arrival.

The food was very tasty and came quickly. Very large portions. However, you should reserve a table in the restaurant, as it is usually difficult to do so spontaneously in the evening.

We always enjoyed coming for the good food, but when we sat in the lower part of the restaurant we always had the problem of feeling very uncomfortable - as if individual service staff were watching us and judging us for our every move. Additionally the bouncer made the atmosphere very unpleasant, we can understand that a bouncer is useful but he made us feel unwanted. So we just ate quickly and left as quickly as possible and won't come back for a while.

Unfortunately my companion got a bad piece of meat. We always enjoyed being there. Price also welcomed us, but it's still unforgivable if you leave the restaurant with a stomach ache.

Rude waitress!! We went here while it was busy. I asked if they had space for two where as she replied hold on a minute while she checked. I then wanted to add that we were just there for drinks if that helped with where we should sit, but she interrupted me before I could say it and looked rudely at me and yelled I SAID WAIT A MINUTE !!. I almost walked out the door but we stayed due to it being hard finding other places to sit. Drinks were standard and we had a pretzel that was mediocre too. Wouldn't go back.

I ordered a hearty snack with lots of delicious details. At the end I still had meat loaf left over and wanted half a slice of bread. This was not possible because "the cash register" only offers the option of ordering three slices of bread. For me it's a no go if the technology comes at the expense of hospitality. Unfortunately the cola was a Pepsi, but that was my mistake as I didn't look at the menu. But the fact that the Pepsi hardly had any carbonation left wasn't the case.

Wie wollten mit der Firma mit 10 Personen unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier verleben. Der Security "begrüßte" uns unhöflich mit Zigarette und Red Bull Dose vor der Tür, maulte uns an. Auch die hinzugerufenen Kellnerin ließ Freundlichkeit und das Gefühl hier willkommen zu sein, vermissen. Die Bedienung war schier überfordert. Auf Nachfrage wurde extrem unhöflich reagiert. Essen war okay. Personal leider ungenügend. Schade.
