The Alte Mühle has always been my favorite restaurant. I really enjoyed being there and often. Unfortunately, this is the fifth time I have been disappointed. Every time I was there there was no pork tenderloin. My alternative dish was always out, so it was difficult to find the right one. If there is still no pork fillet after the 5th time, why not take the dish off the menu?! It's really a shame that it has waned so much. but I will look for another restaurant in the future. After the fifth disappointment you just don't feel like it anymore.

It is not possible to sit upstairs because the tables are reserved. The reserved guests should come now. That's why we sat on the terrace. By the time we left the restaurant, no guest had come to the upper floor. Payment can only be made in cash, as the card payment device does not work. The staff told us definitely. When asked about card payment by the guest behind us, the staff said “I’ll try”.

Geht da nicht essen! Trotz eines fest vereinbarten Termins schien das Restaurant erst 90 Minuten später mit unseren 100 essenden Menschen zu rechnen und wies uns forsch darauf hin, dass eine andere Zeit abgemacht sei. Dann kam das Essen für uns alle in zeitlich sehr großen Abständen. Ein gemeinsames Essen war nicht möglich. Das Personal arbeitete sehr unstrukturiert und unkoordiniert. Eine Abrechnung einzelner Speisen und Getränke war nicht denkbar oder ging vollkommen daneben. Das Ende des Ausflugs war, dass Essen und Speisen später noch zu zahlen waren, weil diese angeblich nicht bezahlt worden waren. Zwar konnten die Zahlenden die Zahlungen nachweisen, dennoch haben wir das zu viel gezahlte Geld (ca. 150 Euro) nicht wieder bekommen. Ich habe den Geschäftsführer zwei mal um Rückruf gebeten und nie einen erhalten. Schade, die Location gibt eigentlich alles her, was ein Restaurant braucht.

Once we were in this establishment with colleagues and decided to eat, everything was super, especially the food, but when it was time to pay, my colleague was called either by the administrator or by a senior person to pay with the word SIR and the waitress heard this and stupidly started neighing like a horse , supposedly addressing us Asians with the word SIR is not acceptable, of course it was very unpleasant, in general we won’t appear there again, of course, because of what I wrote they will not close, but at least visiting guests will know what kind of address to Asians.

We ended up in the “Alte Mühle” because of the good reviews. We didn't have a reservation, but since it wasn't high season, it shouldn't be a problem getting a place for two people. It wasn't, except that the table we had already agreed to was immediately taken away again. Guests with reservations preferred to have “our table”. No problem, we bowed to the wishes of the other guests. However, service is different and the landlord could have shown his gratitude here. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. The hamburger panfish was served cold and went back. The second attempt was better, but the quality didn't really convince us. Overall the service was good, but could be better. A little tip: If the glasses are empty, the guest should be asked if they would like more. Also ensures more sales overall.

When the waitress asked if it tasted good, she was told that some of the food was burnt. The answer to this - this can happen when frying. It was about a farmer's breakfast with burnt onions. This was our third and final visit. We never had any problems before and were always treated kindly. At least we saved the tip.

We were there today because our daughter invited us to dinner for her birthday. She wanted to order in advance by phone, but was told this wouldn't be possible and that she should just come by. We did that and due to a large group order, we only got a table for three. Two large tables were provided and pre-ordered. (Order so much for the table and it's not possible) The food was very good, praise to the chef. We ordered still water which tasted like warm tap water. With ice cubes it wouldn't have been so significant but unfortunately it wasn't available in a glass. Otherwise we felt very unwelcome, probably because the registered golf club was expected soon. A little tip: it's better not to welcome other guests because the company is closed.

During our stay at the pain clinic we happened to discover the Alte Mühle – a true gem right on the water. As soon as we entered, we were impressed by the beautiful ambience. The modern furnishings fit perfectly with the historic charm of the mill and create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent. We would particularly like to highlight the dessert: A delicious chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, served on a light chocolate sauce - a real treat. If we are in the area again, we would definitely like to come back. A clear recommendation!

Actually a nice terrace. The first non-alcoholic beer came quickly and tasted good. Then total non-delivery. Neither the drinks nor the food came. We reminded the various service staff - it is in progress. Well over an hour. Then: finally the food with apologies. Our mood is in the basement. Overall, everything seems chaotic there. My salmon was dry. So sorry - I have never given such a bad review.

Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food, and most importantly, a very high level of service

When the weather is cooler and fresh, inside in the mill's former engine house, and when the weather is nice, outside on the terrace with a view of the Schwentine estuary: here Manchurian can sit, eat, drink, talk, enjoy family and friends, and relax. The menu is not long, but there is something for all tastes.

Das Personal wies uns in frechem Ton darauf hin und zeigte auf die Aussenplätze.Die Karte war veraltet, was zur Folge hatte, das nicht alle Gerichte angeboten werden konnten. Die Preise sind hoch und unterscheiden sich von den Internetpreisen. Das bekam man aber erst bei der Bestellung zu erfahren. We recently went to the Alte Mühle restaurant and loved it. The food was simply fantastic – especially the salmon fillet, which was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting, ideal for a relaxing evening. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a great experience that I can only recommend!

The restaurant is nicely located. We had reserved and were asked to choose a table on the terrace. Afterwards, guests who arrived after us were served, but unfortunately we were not. After 25 minutes we left again. There was a complete lack of understanding among the staff, as (depending on the employee) we had waited for "only 2" or "only 5" minutes... During our waiting time, we noticed that orders had been mixed up and overall the staff seemed erratic and unfocused. Not all the tables were occupied yet. I can therefore not (!) recommend the restaurant.

We only stopped here briefly after a trip to the Schwentine Valley and had some refreshment. The service is good, the staff is very friendly and the prices are fair. The location is nice and you can switch off very well here. we liked it a lot.

Iranian-run restaurant with outdoor terrace by the water. Had salads with feta and turkey, caprese and herring, hard to go wrong with anything. Good thing dressing came separately. Rapeseed oil for salad or something similar didn't match the price. Failed the Italian taste test, the feta tasted strange. Italians might not come back. Bruschetta, as offered, appears to be the North German version. The food was otherwise good. Nice view of the boat harbor, it's also cozy inside. Menu is a mix of Italian and German cuisine. The men's toilet was negative, almost a single construction site. It's a shame that no Persian food is offered. So unfortunately nothing special. Addendum due to the operator's aggressive comment: There are 3 doors in the men's toilet. One was temporarily covered with adhesive tape and I didn't touch it. A second one was not locked, I took a photo of the toilet. I then found the existing toilet behind door 3. The user before me noticed the same thing. Then please actually lock the doors and mark them as defective. Better than insulting guests even though I didn't even include it.

We actually wanted to order the meal of the day as it was a good deal (pork schnitzel with fries and a sauce), but our changes to the meal would cost 3.50 euros as we didn't want fries, just a small salad. It's a shame that the daily meal was no longer an option for us.

Introduction: My partner and I were guests at the Alte Mühle in Kiel for the first time. Eat: We found the quality of the food served to be poor. In addition, the food was served after just a few minutes - finished products? My partner and I each ordered a schnitzel with mushrooms. The schnitzels glistened with fat and tasted at best snack quality. There was no sauce for the schnitzel itself, a small amount of mushrooms and onions were served on the schnitzel. Therefore this was very dry. Furthermore, the size of the side dishes leaves something to be desired. A good eater doesn't get full. Price-performance: Large breaded pork schnitzel with fried onions and mushrooms, plus French fries for €18.90. We paid €50 rounded up for two people with one drink each. For me the price/performance ratio is not right! Service: The service was fine and made an effort. Ambience: Small and rustic building directly on the Schwentine.

We got married here 20 years ago and were here again for our wedding anniversary... A bit of nostalgia. It is still run by the same family, which we were very pleased about. Had asparagus with salmon and schnitzel. Asparagus was great, hollandaise sauce was bought, but it was quite tasty. The schnitzel was a ready-made schnitzel, quality was subpar. They actually tried to sell it to us as a home-made and breaded schnitzel... This really annoyed me that guests were being treated like such a fool. It's OK if you bought it, but then you should stand by it. The bruschetta was great!!! At the beginning we were served by a tall, slim gentleman with glasses who was so stressed at a few tables and didn't seem to have internalized any work processes at all... We were already uneasy about his stressed demeanor, as was the table next to us. with whom we had a short conversation. When the boss came, he immediately calmed down and the service from the young boss was very pleasant. So it turned out to be a lovely evening/wedding day. We'll be back... And the location is just great.

My visit to the “Alte Mühle” in Kiel was an absolute hit. This restaurant not only offers wonderfully delicious food, but also at a more than fair price. From the first minute I felt very welcome thanks to the funny and friendly service - a service that is not a given these days. The selection of dishes is diverse and impresses with its quality and freshness. Added to this is the beautiful ambience that makes the “Alte Mühle” so special. Not to forget: the good parking options on site make the visit much easier. For me, the "Alte Mühle" is a must for anyone who is traveling in Kiel and values ​​good food, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Very nice staff, dogs allowed, nice atmosphere. Parking spaces in front of the house. The food was good, unfortunately everything (fish _ meat) was fried for 2 minutes too long. It was a bit dry and sober. Unfortunately the salad was not appealing and the tomatoes had no aroma. However, the bruschetta was very tasty and had plenty of toppings.

To be honest, I expected more :( I know that the industry isn't having an easy time at the moment, but unfortunately the food was of snack quality. The price was therefore far too high for pre-heated products, a shame.

Super delicious food, very nice service. Bringing a dog is no problem if you sit downstairs or outside. A nice place in summer with the terrace on the Schwentine. Price-performance ratio also fits. I had a fish plate with 3 different fillets in Riesling sauce with salad and potatoes for 25€. And in the past there was also the schnitzel for €19. I can recommend both without reservation.

A good restaurant in a nice location. We went here for lunch with our little daughter. The service was top and we were impressed by how child-friendly it was. The food is good, but rather simple and not upscale. The ambience is quite nice, but the interior could use some updating. The prices are towards the upper end of the price range, but are still reasonable. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Das Essen war okay, allerdings kein kulinarische Offenbarung. Der Service sehr reserviert und wortkarg, aber zumindest "freundlich " . Das Restaurant müsste dringend mal geputzt werden. Da darf man wirklich nicht genau hinsehen. Was allerdings überhaupt nicht geht ist das lautstarke gequatsche in der Küche. Okay, ich hab kein Wort verstanden, aber die Lautstärke war wirklich unfassbar. Da gibt es leider wirklich angenehmere Restaurants.

Der Mittagstisch (Wildgulasch) war sehr gut.

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit einer Speisekarte, die für jeden etwas zu bieten hat, aber nicht überladen wirkt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Preise sind moderat.

Wie waren mit 4 Freundinnen essen und es hat uns sehr gefallen . Wir haben oben auf der Empore gesessen , von der man einen schönen Blick auf die Schwentine und in das Restaurant hat . Der Service ist sehr nett und das Essen war auch super . Immer wieder . 👍

Es hätte heute eigentlich Mittagstisch (Scholle mit Speck und Bratkartoffeln) geben sollen. War leider schon aus. Statt dessen a la Card. War ganz okay. PS: wer als Gruppe (> 5 Personen)Mittagstisch genießen möchte, sollte das 2-3 Tage vorher anmelden.

Service war ein wenig überfordert

Waren zum Weihnachtsessen dort. 3 Personen haben uns insgesamt bedient und nicht eine davon hat uns begrüßt oder sich erkundigt, ob es schmeckt usw. Und das an Weihnachten, wo ein „Frohe Weihnachten!“ auch nicht schaden würde. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht berauschend, auf jeden Fall aber außergewöhnlich teuer. Wirkt auch nicht gut, wenn das Personal sich immer wieder durch die ganzen Laden auf ausländischer Sprache etwas zuruft …

Leider leider sind die PREISE gerade jetzt zu Weihnachten so angezogen worden das es KEINEN Grund mehr gibt hin zufahren. Grünkohlplatte ( Grünkohl 1 Wurst, ein Stck Kassler und ein kleines Stck Schweinebacke ) 26,90 € Nicht zu akzepieren und exorbitant hoch und einfach nur unverhältnismäßig. ECHT frech. War trotzdem gut aber habe ich auch schon weitaus besser gegessen. Ambiente war wie immer sehr gut. Leider Schade. Auch wenn ich verstehe das alles teurer geworden ist. Wareneinsatz schätze ich auf keine 5€

Inzwischen gehört die Alte Mühle zu meinen Lieblingsrestaurants. Zwar keine ellenlange Speisekarte, aber das, was angeboten wird, hat mir immer richtig gut geschmeckt. Besonders die Gerichte mit frischem Fisch vom Seefischmarkt sind zu empfehlen. Neben einer tollen Lage und einem ansprechenden Ambiente ist es mir auch wichtig, mich mit meinen Begleiterinnen beim Essen unterhalten zu können. Insofern fand ich es angenehm entgegenkommend, dass das Personal (jetzt schon zum wiederholten Mal) sofort reagiert hat, als ich darum bat, die Musik etwas leiser zu stellen, und die Musik tatsächlich sofort runtergeregelt hat. Dieses prompte Eingehen auf individuelle Wünsche spricht für den Service hier!

Leckerer Mittagstisch. Nette, aufmerksame Bedienung .

Wir waren kürzlich im Rahmen unseres Firmenweihnachtsessens mit 6 Personen in der Alten Mühle. Als nicht Ortsansässiger ist das Restaurant nicht wirklich bekannt gewesen und für mein dafürhalten auch etwas versteckt gelegen. Die Parkplätze könnten auch etwas besser ausgeschildert sein. Im Restaurant selbst ist es hell, freundlich und sauber. Etwas störend waren die defekten Plissees, da man sie nicht ordentlich schließen konnte (die Sonne hatte geblendet). Auch empfand ich es als etwas unangenehm, wenn direkt über uns jemand auf der Empore langlief. Ich hatte dann das Gefühl, das Dreck von der Decke rieseln würde. Die Bedienung lies etwas zu Wünschen übrig. Mehrfach mussten wir auf uns aufmerksam machen, wenn wir noch etwas (nach-)bestellen wollten. Über das Essen kann man sich hingegen nicht beschweren. Alles frisch zubereitet und wohl temperiert.
