Landhaus Kröger in Fehmarn

The Jägerschnitzel was okay. The sauce was bland, very watered down, and custard-like. The restaurant is Italian-run. The location, right on the street in the heart of Burg, is very good, but I wouldn't go back.

It wasn't bad, but it was convenience food. I don't expect that in a restaurant.

We ate there today and initially had a very good impression. The service, I think it was the manager, had warm words for all the regulars, and the restaurant also had a quaint feel inside. We got the menu, drinks, and our food pretty quickly, and there was no sign of any waiter again. No one asked if everything was okay or if we wanted something else. The vegetables were frozen, just warm, and lacked any salt. The accompanying hollandaise sauce was also just a ready-made sauce. The thing with the vegetables and the hollandaise sauce has been mentioned here several times. Maybe they should think about it and change something. The meat was great. But overall, the food wasn't something that would make us say we have to eat there again.

Schnitzel with mushrooms, cream sauce, and fries spread across a huge plate. Unfortunately, it's frozen; the sauce is made of water and flour! Not even seasoned! The mushrooms are supposedly fresh, but they're frozen. I was hungry and certainly not in the mood for stress, so I ate it all. I had a strange feeling in my stomach while eating, and afterward, it really started happening. Even now, a few hours later, my stomach is still bothering me. An absolute disaster.

If you like clouds of exhaust fumes and traffic noise, sit outside. Of course, the restaurant can't be blamed for that, but it was very unpleasant. The fried potatoes were swimming in grease, and the food came so quickly that it's likely they were keeping a lot of it warm. The salad came with pre-made dressing. The staff was friendly. We won't be back; the value for money isn't right.

It's a difficult assessment. The Holstein-style schnitzel for €21.90 and the Jäger-style schnitzel for the same price were tasty, the meat slightly peppery. Surprise: The food arrived what felt like three minutes after ordering. Changing the side order (fries to fried potatoes) costs €2.50, or €4.50 to a baked potato. That remains a secret. Seats outside and inside, excellent service. We would come again. Tequila Sunrise and Aperol Spritz each for €7.90.

Fast, friendly service! Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations! We ordered schnitzel and a fish platter! The schnitzel itself was very good, but the vegetable side dish was unfortunately pre-packaged frozen vegetables with no flavor and very overcooked... the hollandaise sauce was also more of a convenience product! The portion size of the fish platter was more like an appetizer for a good eater! We went to this restaurant with different expectations, based on the good reviews, for good, home-style food, but unfortunately, we left disappointed...

Food and service friendly and competent

Cozy place. Nice staff. The food was good, we had the Wiener Schnitzel, but it tasted/looked like snitzel from a commercial kitchen.

We actually come back every vacation... the always friendly staff and the owner have gotten to know us pretty well by now. Maria is really nice. The food is delicious and arrives quickly. Our dogs are allowed in, and we usually get a quiet corner. So, I'll say see you next vacation, because we'll definitely eat there again! ;-)

The food is always incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and prepared with great attention to detail. The portions are generous, the selection is varied, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. I would especially like to mention Martin and Maria – two wonderful people who make the visit even more special. Martin is very dedicated, warm, and knows how to welcome every guest and create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Maria is always cheerful, attentive, and caring – you feel in good hands from the very first moment. Kroeger is not just a restaurant – it's a place you'll always enjoy returning to, knowing that you'll not only get excellent food, but also feel completely at home. An absolute must for anyone visiting Fehmarn – Restaurant Kröger is a must-visit! 🇩🇪🍽️

The food was good. The quantity is debatable. I didn't have much, but the others had plenty on their plates.

Large portions of tasty food and excellent service

I ordered zander on leaf spinach with potatoes and salad. Everything tasted great. The service was attentive and surprisingly quick. The ambiance was venerable and well-kept. If it weren't so far from my hometown, I would come back more often.

We visited the Landgasthof Kröger today and felt completely at home. It was very cozy, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Mariya. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive – all requests, big and small, were promptly fulfilled. The food was a real treat, freshly prepared and delicious. A particularly positive aspect: Even though we were a large group, we were able to make a reservation at very short notice – it worked out perfectly. We'd definitely love to come back next time we're in the area!

We ate at Landhaus Kröger for the second time during a day trip to the island of Fehmarn. The grilled meats were delicious. Landhaus Kröger is highly recommended.

We were there today and had the schnitzel "Holsteiner Style" and the grill plate. We also had a Spezi (0.4L) and a beer (0.3L). We paid just under €56 for it. We waited quite a while to place our drink order after we got our menus (about 15 minutes), but we were actually already about to leave the restaurant. The staff are friendly, though. A change to the dish – fried potatoes instead of fries – would have cost €2.50. So, as described on the menu, we had the grill plate with fries and the schnitzel "Holsteiner Style" with fried potatoes. Now for the food: Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food tasted okay, but it was clear that they didn't use fresh ingredients. The fried potatoes were peeled potatoes from a jar, which was immediately noticeable and tasted. The vegetables are frozen, very watery, and only lukewarm. The hollandaise sauce also doesn't seem homemade. The meat on the grill was okay, though. Unfortunately, based on the exterior, we had hoped for much more and, after today's visit, we can't recommend this restaurant.

We absolutely cannot understand the positive reviews here. We each had a cordon bleu (€23.90 each) with vegetables and fries. The whole thing was a direct hit from the freezer or convenience store. The vegetables were frozen, cheap, and the cordon bleu was also a frozen product like you'd find at home. The hollandaise sauce was also the familiar ready-made sauce you can buy. To make matters worse, my wife even found a hair in the vegetables. We still had to pay the entire bill of almost €70. For €70, I could have bought myself a week's worth of frozen products at Edeka.

For us, one of the best restaurants in Fehmarn. We've been going there for years. The service is attentive and always friendly. The food is fresh and highly recommended. Service: Okay, although the lady outside seemed a bit moody. Food: Chip shop quality at restaurant prices, no thanks, not again. The best part was the fries. Both the cordon bleu and the vegetables were just poorly prepared frozen stuff. Anyone who writes that they ate the "best schnitzel" has never tasted a truly good schnitzel. Well, given the location, you don't rely on regular customers here. Prices are far too high for what you get.

We were very disappointed. The menu reads wonderfully, and I treated myself to a salad with turkey strips for €22. I'm happy to pay that much for a good salad. The salad was from a packet, spiced up with a bit of fruit. It looked nice, but for that price, I expected fresh salad, not the kind from a bag. My husband had the hunter's schnitzel with mushrooms from a jar. We were very disappointed and would definitely recommend the restaurant, and we'll definitely visit again. It's June, and I think you can expect fresh produce at these prices.

Prices were surprisingly moderate, food was ok, service was super friendly!

Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the great atmosphere. We had Holstein schnitzel with vegetables, hollandaise sauce, and fried potatoes. You couldn't really go wrong with it. However, the frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, and beans) weren't even firm enough to bite, they were mushy and tasted of water. They also served a ready-made hollandaise sauce from a tetra pack that was too thick and flavorless. The icing on the cake were the fried potatoes, also a ready-made product and also mushy, with no onions and no recognizable bacon. The schnitzel came out of the deep fryer and was still dripping with fat. It definitely could have done longer. The fried egg was at least okay. To charge 21.95 for it was borderline. Disillusionment also spread to the neighboring tables, and they didn't eat much. The waiter was excellent. We told him our complaint, and at least we got two shots of schnapps. He'd heard that a few times that day, too. But according to other comments, this wasn't an isolated incident. We highly recommend the Goldener Anker in Burgstaaken; everything there was fresh and not much more expensive.

A very friendly and attentive waiter who was able to answer all of our questions. For dinner there was the Poseidon fish plate and roast venison with a very tasty 😋 red cabbage. As a starter there was sweet and sour cucumber salad. All dishes were on point. You'll be happy to come back here.

Service is friendly. The grill plate tasted nothing like grilling. The beef is sour, but not like beef. The cordon bleu had a strange taste. The vegetables, as already described by other guests, were not good. The fries tasted good. It also couldn't make up for the dessert. But it was a nice gesture. Simply send the chef for training or make sure the ingredients are fresh. All in all it wasn't worth the money.

I'm really not very picky, but I was very disappointed with the ready-made meal at Landhaus Kröger, I had a frozen schnitzel (it tasted like it had been warmed up twice) and ready-made mushroom sauce, the fries were ok but absolutely not justified for just under 22 euros!!! Maybe I was just unlucky but I'll never come back there again, especially since the boss?! I don't have to admit that I was quite stroppy when ordering, there are nicer and better restaurants out there.

After almost a year we went to Krögers Gasthaus again, the fish platter is still the best in Fehmarn. Very fresh fish and side dishes, the service is still the same. Always friendly and very accommodating, the atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned but I want to eat delicious food and not sit in a stylish restaurant. We will continue to enjoy eating our fish platter with you.

Country house Kruger, We had imagined something different. Tk Cordonbleu dry, TK vegetables with anything on them don't work at all. The salad and the fried potatoes were also not convincing. We were very disappointed. Positive: Staff was friendly and the rooms were pleasant.

Schnitzel Viennese style was ok, the pork medallions were fart dry. As a side dish, vegetables were completely carelessly drowned in hollandaise. A gentleman served us very nicely, the lady only served us the bare essentials, even though the restaurant wasn't too busy. I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. The restaurant lacks a lot of love for what is offered there.

I had a very tasty pan fish made from cod and pollock with the best fried potatoes of my life.

Beautifully clocked and robust service. Unfortunately the fish platter for 2 was on the table for less than 10 minutes. So not freshly made. Unfortunately, the fish had a very strong taste of its own and the fried potatoes, like the fish, had been warmed up in the deep fryer, although the fried potatoes tasted more like fat than potatoes. It's a shame, the price is far too high for that.

Very dear boss and waitresses. Down-to-earth German cuisine. Good selection of schnitzels, steaks, and fish. Some vegetarian dishes. Were there twice: the farmer's breakfast was super tasty and so was the Ratsherrentopf. The fried potatoes - Yummy, which I particularly liked, they weren't drowned in fat.

The staff is highly motivated and friendly, so you'll want to go back straight away! I haven't experienced this much enthusiasm from customers in a long time. Very rude, no empathy for the guest, just processing orders! If the two of you want to sit at a table for three, you will be told that it is a table for three. Unfortunately, potential customers left again. If there was a star to be awarded for rudeness, it would be one of ours It's actually a shame for such a long-established country house.

DON'T GO!!!!!!!!! We spontaneously stopped there on the terrace. After about 12 minutes the waiter came and asked about drinks. When our food came, we were very disappointed. Fried potatoes were out of the bag, way too greasy. Not a bit of salad or a little lovingly prepared. My husband had a farmer's plate, dry meatballs, without spices, the mushroom sauce also from the bag. Simple frozen vegetables with artificial hollandaise. Horrible!!! In contrast to the drinks, the food came within 2 minutes. So everyone can guess that the cook was the microwave. And then the prices... once and never again!!

Schnitzel a´la street food with french fries and hollandaise sauce and a pile of vegetables straight from a can does not impress. Also, it wasn't cheap. Nothing wrong with the service but the FOOD, the next time we're in Burg it must be the sausage kiosk opposite. We absolutely will not return to the restaurant.

Very nice service but the food is disappointing. Most of the food on the plate was ready-made. Ready-made sauce and frozen vegetables. Really a shame. The "spicy tomato sauce" for the mussels consisted of water with whole peeled tomatoes in it, chopped peppers and a quartered lemon. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. It's a real shame because the ambience and service are really great.

The service staff is very friendly and committed. Unfortunately the food is too expensive for the quality. Too much frozen food on the plate, which is more like canteen food.

The place is beautifully done with side niches, the sanitary is super clean, the service is top notch and quick and considerate of seating for children. Food is great, I ordered a rump steak medium rare and I've rarely had such a delicious steak, it's just great, chicken dinosaurs for the kids also taste great, great praise for the place, highly recommended

Great, uncomplicated and completely ok for the price

I would like to keep my review short and sweet. The service and ambience get 5 stars. Unfortunately, I can only rate the food with one star and I find that to be very positive for goods that are exclusively frozen goods, i.e. frozen foods that are only warmed up here. But everyone has to decide for themselves - I personally found the food very borderline and in the end that's the reason why I go out to eat so that I hopefully enjoy it. The staff and location are very, very nice, but perhaps you should change the cook in the kitchen or you don't even need a cook to warm up this frozen food. Really a shame :(
