Restaurant "Zum Haifisch" in Fehmarn

Really good Cod with asparagus and the veal schnitzel. Impossible to get a better lunch in town. This was not the first time and definitely not the last.

We took a trip to Fehmarn today. Then we came across the Haifisch restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered a schnitzel dish and a fish platter; both dishes looked delicious and were also very filling. Both meals were very tasty. The staff was very friendly; we'll be back.

Heute haben wir uns von Bewertungen leiten lassen und sind leider enttäuscht worden. Das nicht gar so günstige Kalbsschnitzel, sowie auch der Pannfisch (Dorsch) waren lediglich vom Anrichten ok. Geschmacklich waren die Gerichte jedoch eine große Enttäuschung. Beide Gerichte waren ungewürzt und fast schon zäh. Und bei einem Preis von 60 Euro darf so etwas nicht passieren. Lediglich der Kellner Mike war ein erhellender Moment. Immer einen lockeren Spruch parat und sehr freundlich. Personal topp, Essen flop.

We were thrilled. The best fish restaurant we've ever experienced. The staff was excellent, witty, and very friendly and attentive. The fish was tender, cooked to perfection. You can feel the love and passion for cooking. The four Hanoverians will definitely be returning... Grin

The food here is really good 🤤🤩 We visited twice and were not disappointed. The fried cod is really great! We also had the plaice, the asparagus, and the Labskaus; everything was delicious, and the plates looked very good too. The plates are appetizingly presented, as are the drinks. I would like to highlight the friendly staff: Very friendly, funny, open-minded, really on the ball, and they even offer advice if needed. We stopped here today to enjoy my wife's birthday meal. And what can I say, the food was fantastic. I've rarely eaten such excellent Labskaus, and my wife's fish was cooked to perfection. Thank you for serving my wife such a wonderful birthday meal. The 140 km from Travemünde was definitely worth it. To our "number girl!" She did a top job.

Based on the name "Zum Haifisch" we would have expected something in terms of facilities, but nothing reminds us of a fish restaurant. It is modernly furnished, but very simple. Sitting too close together, stuffy air at the back of the restaurant... The staff is really friendly, attentive and there are no long waiting times, so we were really surprised. The food was really delicious!!!

The food - so much in advance - is excellent. Everything is fresh, au point, and crispy. We had a Neptune platter for 2 people (salmon, cod, pollock, calamari) and a children's plate with fries and fish fingers. The service staff was friendly and tried hard, but was unable to implement our wishes as requested - whether due to cognitive or linguistic deficits. Twice in a row. This is annoying, but unfortunately part of the post-Corona reality. The atmosphere is rustic. We sat outside - on the street. The fact that it was a holiday and motorhomes and motorbikes drove past us in droves can hardly be blamed on the restaurant.

Our daughter doesn't eat fish, only shark fish. I think it's because of the good food and Maik/Mike, she liked him 5 years ago because of his great personality and she was thrilled again. Thank you for the delicious food and the great stay

Excellent restaurant. From the welcome to the really good food. We had 2 different fish dishes, each of which was a delicacy in its own right. We'll come back before we go home. If you're looking for great food in a welcoming atmosphere - you have to go here 👍

Had a spontaneous meal there today and it was very tasty. We had panfish and captain's plate and both were plentiful and very tasty.

That was delicious! The plaice Finkenwerder style, the pirate plate and the captain's plate tasted great. We were served very nicely and had a lovely evening! It's definitely great if you can sit outside! Definitely worth a visit! :)

Despite the many guests, there was a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the fast service - the food came quickly, even though the restaurant was very busy. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, an all-round successful experience with great food, good service and a welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is almost unparalleled. Superbly prepared and tasty dishes. The fish was fried to perfection and not dry. Price and performance are completely right. We'll be back. Had the Neptune plate for 2 today. The fish was 90 percent perfectly cooked, only the salmon deserved a crispy skin. Unfortunately I found the fried potatoes too small for two people. Unfortunately, the room at the front smelled like a kitchen and the acoustics at the back were a disaster. Unfortunately, it was also furnished in a rather carelessly cold manner. Unfortunately, not all of the information on the internet matches what is in the restaurant, e.g. That you can get a 500g rump steak. Asparagus was also advertised at the entrance, but this wasn't available either. Then you should remove it from the internet and wipe away the sign.

Today we spontaneously stopped by the Zum Haifisch restaurant after a quick call. The welcome was very friendly and warm. The service is really great. The food was amazing. A really sincere compliment to the kitchen. We had the pepper steak and the cod with asparagus. Everything is on point, everything is very tasty and, above all, it is served hot. No lukewarm food or anything else. Very high art these days. The dessert was also very tasty. We can highly recommend blueberry pancakes. Thanks to the whole team. You're great. We really liked it (8 people). The food was very tasty and there was something for every taste. Our waitress was nice and accommodating.

We ate very well: fish plate with 3 different files fried on spinach leaves and the Jägerschnitzel with croquettes. Both very tasty, hot and plentiful. Very polite attentive waiter. It was very pleasant outside in the spring sunshine. We would be happy to come back.

Very nicely renovated, priced very ⬆️ high. Labskaus very tasty. Jagerschnitzel well fried, mushroom sauce kept warm a little too long as it has been for years, therefore a bit unsightly and over-seasoned., the service from the young LADIES is excellent. Here too, the fish was very lightly seasoned, as in the anchor. But there is salt and pepper for seasoning. Overall, thanks to the young service ladies pleasant evening.

We stopped at this restaurant while passing through, having already browsed the menu online. We received a very warm welcome. We felt very comfortable, even though it was lunchtime on a weekday, so we were practically alone in the restaurant. Then came the outstanding food. A baked schnitzel with mushroom sauce and the plaice Finkenwerder style were both fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

I would make it even more expensive. Anything over 20 euros, I would go one step further and do anything over 30 euros - why not?

Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. As a starter we had the calamari with baguette and aioli. As a main course, the fish fillet plate and the large salad with three types of fish. Overall, the food was very tasty, although the fish was a bit too salty in both dishes. We would eat here again.

We both enjoyed the meal very much - we had a fried herring with fried potatoes and bacon and a plaice of Finkenwerder style with fried potatoes without bacon. The service was also very good and the restaurant was neat and clean.

We were here for lunch and spontaneously got a table for 2 (low season). The food was very tasty, the selection was good and the service was very attentive and friendly. The furnishings/ambience are rather simple, which you wouldn't expect with the name "Zum Haifisch". But we liked that too. It is also positive that it is open in the low season.

The best thing first: the fish was prepared very tasty! The salad, including the salad dressing, was not to our taste. The baguette, as it said on the menu, was a baked roll, Unfortunately the fried potatoes were warmed up a bit oily and without what was on the menu: with bacon. The service could be more attentive & friendly. Overall, the fish pulls it off and that's why we give it 3 stars.

First of all, you are greeted very nicely by the host, super friendly and funny. Restaurant is nicely and comfortably furnished. My friend, who is not a fan of fish and crabs, was very enthusiastic about the food, and of course I was too. Restaurant is only recommended. 🥰👌

What can you say, simply delicious food and the service is excellent. Would eat there again at any time and can recommend it without hesitation! At Ambiente there are small deductions for small things such as: - Suspended lamps have been wound up instead of shortened - There is no paneling on the counter. But as I said, these are just small things. And from what I hear, it's already in the works. Thank you for the evening!

I took a trip to Burg yesterday and stopped at the restaurant. There wasn't much going on yet, there was a good choice of tables. I ordered three kinds of fish with fried potatoes. When the dishes arrived, the friendly waitress said we had to share the small bowl of fried potatoes. My fish had hollondaise sauce on it, I thought it didn't go with it and if it had been noted on the menu, I would have expressed my wish without that sauce. The service only came to take the order, hand out the food and collect the cash. Since the restaurant really didn't have many occupied tables, I would have wished that the waitress would have stopped by to check on everything, would have liked to have a drink and maybe a dessert. But since there wasn't any interest in approaching the customers, we ate something delicious outside. It's actually a shame. I would have understood that the restaurant was full and there was only one service, but there were only 5 tables occupied.

A very nicely decorated restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers something for everyone, from very good fish to schnitzel to kale (we were there in February). The service was very nice and reserved. We will stop here again the next time we go Are you in the castle?

Nice restaurant in the middle of Burg. The service was very friendly, maybe just a little distracted at times. The food was really great, the fish was great. It's worth it.

Famished, we stopped at Haifisch and were welcomed by a very friendly service employee who let us choose our own seating. The food was extremely tasty, high quality and the portions were generous. Despite the busy restaurant, the service was omnipresent, attentive and yet unobtrusive.

Were here as a whole family at lunchtime on New Year's Day and we felt very comfortable! The service (I think it was the boss himself) was quick, funny, attentive! There are extra painting supplies and a children's menu for children!

Delicious food, large portions. We had a fish platter for 2 with various fillets and salad. It was a shame that the salad was heated up on the warming plate because it is on the same plate with the fish. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper third of the surrounding restaurants.

We had booked a table, a waitress came quite quickly to take the drink order (pretty expensive, like everything else). We had to wait for the other order. Starters were good. The main courses varied greatly in quality. The fried potatoes were unseasoned, burnt and very hard. We ordered fried potatoes and they were delicious. In one meal, shrimp shells and the fish were very dry and bland. The best part was the lobster sauce. In the end the waitress was informed about the bad food, she apologized but became very rude. If we asked during the meal whether it tasted good, we should have complained. But no one asked. In the end the staff made fun of us even though we were still there. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant in this price range. We won't come again.
