Restaurant "Zum Haifisch" in Fehmarn

Famished, we stopped at Haifisch and were welcomed by a very friendly service employee who let us choose our own seating. The food was extremely tasty, high quality and the portions were generous. Despite the busy restaurant, the service was omnipresent, attentive and yet unobtrusive.

Absolute recommendation! From the first moment you feel like a valued guest here. The atmosphere is stylish, cozy and perfect for leaving everyday life behind. A very special thank you goes to our waiter – a real professional with a heart! His kindness, attentiveness and sense of humor made our visit an unforgettable experience. He was always there without being intrusive. Of course the food was fantastic too! Every dish was perfectly prepared, with fresh ingredients and great presentation. We will definitely be back and can warmly recommend Haifisch – and above all the great service – to everyone. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

Were here as a whole family at lunchtime on New Year's Day and we felt very comfortable! The service (I think it was the boss himself) was quick, funny, attentive! There are extra painting supplies and a children's menu for children!

Good morning! It was a very nice and delicious evening. My husband had the fish fantasy with fries and was thrilled. I had the loin in pepper sauce and fried potatoes, and we had a salad beforehand. Everything excellent! Kind regards to Mike and crew from the south of Germany.

The fish was delicious, but the fried potatoes didn't work at all! They were warmed up in lots of oil :(

Several visits to the shark fish are firmly planned for our vacation on Fehmarn every year! Very nice service, excellent food, nice ambience and, above all, the terrace outside is simply brilliant! Thoroughly recommended! Until next time 🦈

Delicious food, large portions. We had a fish platter for 2 with various fillets and salad. It was a shame that the salad was heated up on the warming plate because it is on the same plate with the fish. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper third of the surrounding restaurants.

We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we still got a spot. It would probably be wise to reserve in advance on weekends. The food was good and the portions were really big. There is a good selection of fish dishes but also traditional cuisine. There is a children's menu for children. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is super friendly and quick. Dogs are allowed. Good parking available nearby.

We had booked a table, a waitress came quite quickly to take the drink order (pretty expensive, like everything else). We had to wait for the other order. Starters were good. The main courses varied greatly in quality. The fried potatoes were unseasoned, burnt and very hard. We ordered fried potatoes and they were delicious. In one meal, shrimp shells and the fish were very dry and bland. The best part was the lobster sauce. In the end the waitress was informed about the bad food, she apologized but became very rude. If we asked during the meal whether it tasted good, we should have complained. But no one asked. In the end the staff made fun of us even though we were still there. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant in this price range. We won't come again.

I ordered fried potatoes but fried potatoes were burnt and I asked the employees about it and they laughed about it.

Nice restaurant with delicious dishes. The portions are definitely sufficient, the fish is first class and the lobster bisque is delicious. The service is fun for everyone. We'd love to come back.

Went to Haifisch for the first time today and were really impressed! We had two fish plates with several fried fillets, and everything, including fried potatoes, was delicious and served hot by Mike. He accompanied us throughout the evening attentively and with humor, which was the icing on the cake for the excellent food. As a nightcap we treated ourselves to a fisherman's spirit, combined with the best wishes for a long life from Mike. We ate the plaice. She was fantastic. As a starter we had the tomato soup. This was also very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodated and fulfilled all of our wishes. The restaurant is highly recommended. We will definitely eat here again.

Stopped here after a trip to Copenhagen, as it was only about 10 minutes by car from the ferry. There is also a large parking lot nearby. The lovely gentleman who served us was very friendly and immediately put a smile on our faces. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant itself is very charmingly decorated and discreetly lit. Will definitely stop by again in the future 😃

Service was pretty nice, but not as attentive as one would expect based on the reviews. It was probably due to the group in the next room. Still a shame. If we come to Fehmarn again we might try again, because the desserts were really great.

The food is highly recommended. The fish was juicy and very tasty. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress (two different women) were quite unfriendly. Not even a “good evening” or “moin” came. There was also no farewell - which we found very unfortunate. Even though the food was great, we won't come here again.

Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the kale dish. It was only lukewarm (apart from the fried potatoes in a separate bowl). The smoked salmon was overcooked and was just dry and firm. Wasn't worth the €22.90. 😒

All in all, completely satisfied. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly, especially the waiter who was always joking. Highly recommended.

Zum Haifisch ist eines unserer Stammrestaurants in Burg. Qualitativ hochwertige Speisen und zuvorkommender Service sind immer wieder gut für einen ansprechenden Abend. Diesmal hatten wir Grünkohl und Muscheln in Weißwein-Soße. Absolut empfehlenswert, beides!

The fish was again (we were there for the second time this year) very good and simply delicious. The shark is always worth a trip ;)

The food was great, whether it was schnitzel, fish or mussels. Portions more than sufficient. The waiter was really quick and had a funny saying here and there. We felt very comfortable. The kids received art supplies and were thrilled with the kids menus.

The rustic restaurant is a little intimidating from the outside, but it's all the more surprising from the inside. Modern furnishings, a waiter with wit and charm who entertains the guests and makes everything possible. And the food.... Great!!!! We had a fish platter for 2 that would have been enough for 3! Delicious, fresh, juicy! Oh, and first of all, a lobster soup that we have rarely tasted so incredibly delicious! Great, we'll be happy to come back on our next holiday on Fehmarn!

Wir haben die Fischplatte für 2 Personen gegessen. Absolut zart gebratener Fisch, leckerste Bratkartoffeln, dazu Aioli und Salat. Absolut empfehlenswert. Der Service ist nett, freundlich und hat immer einen Witz auf den Lippen.

The restaurant was okay. But unfortunately nothing more, the spare ribs were a bit too dry. The fish was delicious. The salad tasted of nothing and had no dressing. The fried potatoes were again very tasty. All in all just okay. :)

The store was full! The food was great! Everything went smoothly, despite the high volume. Among other things, we ordered various fish, which was really tasty. I could have easily eaten another shrimp skewer because it was so convincing! The dessert was also very good and we were able to leave the restaurant feeling full. At the end of our family vacation we stopped at Haifisch. I have to say that was a very good decision. All of the dishes were excellent. The service was very casual and pleasant. It was very fun. Price performance is completely okay. 👍🏼

Wir hatten 5 Fischteller. Alle waren von den Portionen sehr ordentlich. Der Fisch war leider frittiert. Geschmacklich aber in ordnung. Außerdem hatten wir eine "halbe Ente", die aus zwei Keulen bestand und sehr trocken war. Diese ist leider nicht zu empfehlen

Während unseres Urlaubs auf Fehmarn haben wir bei einem Stadtbummel das Restaurant entdeckt und da mein Mann gerne Fisch ist (und ich überhaupt nicht 😂), hat er mich genötigt dort zu Abend zu essen 😅. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und es sieht alles recht frisch renoviert aus. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und fragte immer nach, ob alles okay sei und ob wir noch Wünsche hätten. Das Essen kam recht schnell und wie nicht anders zu erwarten war mein Mann überglücklich, da der Fisch ausgezeichnet geschmeckt hat. Das Fischfilet war saftig und zart und auf den Punkt gebraten. Zum Glück war auch einiges an leckeren Gerichten für Nicht-Meerestiereesser auf der Speisekarte. So habe ich ein Schnitzel gewählt und war sehr glücklich damit. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt, war ohne Fettrand, schön knusprig und heiß. Die Portionen waren genau richtig, so dass wir glücklich, satt und zufrieden nach Hause gefahren sind. Wenn wir wieder auf Fehmarn Urlaub machen sollten, werden wir das Restaurant bestimmt wieder aufsuchen ☺️.

During our vacation on Fehmarn we discovered the restaurant while strolling through the city and since my husband likes fish (and I don't at all 😂), he forced me to have dinner there 😅. The atmosphere is very cozy and everything looks recently renovated. The service was very friendly and always asked whether everything was okay and whether we had any further requests. The food came quite quickly and, as expected, my husband was overjoyed because the fish tasted excellent. The fish fillet was juicy and tender and fried to perfection. Luckily, there were also some tasty dishes for non-seafood eaters on the menu. So I chose a schnitzel and was very happy with it. It tasted very good, had no fat crust, was nice and crispy and hot. The portions were just right, so we went home happy, full and satisfied. If we go on vacation to Fehmarn again, we will definitely visit the restaurant again ☺️.

I can only confirm North German cooling!!! Food was good, everything else was not. Service was unmotivated...
