We went to Weinhaus Lösch today and had a great evening. The food (salmon with asparagus, chicken croquettes and the tartare) were great. The prices are a bit high, but so is the food. Great wine selection! The Riesling from Kühling-Gillot was wonderful. We were served by Marco, a kind-hearted person. Happy to come back!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Mainz. They have nice classic French dishes, friendly and warm staff ( senior ladies), good wine list with reasonable prices. We had dinner during Easter Sunday. We managed to get a table by calling the phone number, using my basic A1 German language as the lady does not speak English, but she was very accommodating and hospitable.

Lokal etwas versteckt. Jedenfalls nicht leicht zu finden. Bedienung freundlich. Bemängeln kann man die Sauberkeit der Tische. Eingetrockneter Vogelkot zeugt nicht von großem Interesse an einladener Atmosphäre. Der Spargel war unterschiedlich gegart, teils fest, teils noch hart. Bei den Schnitzeln war die extra bestellte grüne Sauce ziemlich fest. Einen Löffel gab's nicht gleich dazu.

Simple breakfast buffet, unfortunately with lots of convenience foods. Drinks were extra.

I want to share an experience of discrimination I faced because I’m a foreigner. After ordering a dish, I realized it contained an ingredient I couldn’t eat. Within 3 minutes, I asked to change it to the same schnitzel but with a different sauce. However, the server rudely refused, saying it couldn’t be changed because the dish was already being cooked. Then, out of nowhere, server brought the dish I had wanted to change, placed it carelessly on the table, as if she were handing out free food at a distribution center. When I paid, I noticed I was charged around 4 euros more than what I got. It made me wonder: would I have been treated this way if I weren’t a foreigner? While I’ve met many kind Germans, this experience deeply hurt me. To other foreigners visiting here: be cautious.

The ambience and food was so well, the service was very nice

We went there twice today. First for breakfast, then in the afternoon for a slice of cake. Very tasty and great, attentive service! We'll be back!

Great local bar with decent food and friendly staff. Og you are looking for non-generic pubs or bars in Mainz, this is a must.

Great location with delicious food and very great service.

We were a little disappointed. Especially because 3 of the 4 of us would have liked to eat “sausage stomach”. Unfortunately it was sold out. The staff were very friendly and very upset that we were disappointed. The food we chose was ok, nothing more or nothing less. The restaurant was almost empty and therefore not very comfortable, which was also due to the furnishings (very light furniture, very sterile). The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right compared to other restaurants in Mainz (e.g. veal liver with some mashed potatoes for 20 €; also 2 slices of pork fillet with some noodles also 20 €)
