Wilma Wunder in Mainz

We went there twice today. First for breakfast, then in the afternoon for a slice of cake. Very tasty and great, attentive service! We'll be back!

Everything was great... Breakfast was delivered quickly. Great location... Staff often asked for orders and were quick to respond... perfect, a thousand stars.

Despite the fact that the seats were full and we had the impression we wouldn't get a table, we received a friendly welcome and were quickly assigned a table. The cake and coffee were delicious, and the value for money was excellent. All in all, great.

Great food and even better atmosphere. Plenty of variety on the menu for all types of dietary restrictions as well.

I thought it was great and I would go back every time

We had the tarte flambée with green asparagus. The ham that came with it was hard to find with a magnifying glass. Otherwise, their tarte flambée was delicious.

I only had a drink there because there was nothing gluten-free and the allergy menu was inaccurate (the labels stated that oat products were oat-free and gluten-free). There were far too few restrooms.

...I love it! Perfect, right in the heart of Mainz. Whether it's breakfast, a snack, or a hearty meal, it's delicious, creative, varied, healthy, and lovingly prepared. The service is super friendly, even when it gets hectic. It's now one of our favorite locations 🙃.

Today we went to Wilma's for my birthday and were unfortunately disappointed with the food. We had asparagus that was supposedly 250g. There were exactly three stalks per person. For €18.90, that's really not acceptable. Besides that, the asparagus wasn't fully cooked; it could have been cooked a bit longer, and the potatoes were dripping with fat. It was a real shame, because I really wanted to treat myself to something for my birthday.

Located right next to Mainz Cathedral. Nice ambiance, if it weren't for the construction site right in front of the restaurant. I had two asparagus "Bene" eggs Benedict here. The first time, it was very tasty, and the salad also had a good dressing. The second time, I was disappointed. It was too dry, there wasn't enough hollandaise sauce, and the salad barely had any dressing on it. What a shame.

I've enjoyed coming to Wilma's Wunder for years and have never been disappointed – from the warm welcome to the attentive service to the delicious food, everything is always perfect. The view of Mainz Cathedral is always a highlight – simply beautiful! A quick note about the outdoor area: Some of the tables are very close together, which is especially unpleasant if someone is smoking at the next table. The smoke quickly wafts over, which can be disruptive for non-smokers. Of course, smoking is permitted outside, but perhaps a solution can be found – for example, by separating it into smoking and non-smoking areas or by setting up a few fewer tables to create more space. This would make the experience even more relaxing for everyone. Nevertheless, I always enjoy coming back – a great restaurant in a prime location!

Great views, wonderful ambience and exceptionally good food

We were here for breakfast today, a table was reserved (outside), but it was still a bit too cold for us to sit outside. The team quickly organized a table for us upstairs, even though the restaurant was very busy. The breakfast was chosen quickly and we enjoyed it very much.

The location is beautiful. The food was super tasty and really filled you up. The service was good, we were never kept waiting long and the service was always friendly

The salad was tasty, a bit too much dressing. The prices are crisp, especially for the drinks. The location at the cathedral probably does that. A bit noisy and the tables are tightly packed together.

Great for allergy sufferers too! There is a gluten intolerance in the family and we had a relatively large selection - it was really great! 😊 Ambience 3/5, rather louder/more restless - if that doesn't bother you, you'll feel very comfortable there :)

We were there with our two dogs. The restaurant was completely full on a Sunday. Nevertheless, all the waitresses were incredibly friendly. What pleased me most was how dog-friendly it was. There were two water bowls and even small treats. The food was also very tasty!

The location is ok, the food's ok to acceptable, it was for my taste much to crowded and loud and the prices were very steep.

We had a great lunch here, took schnitzel and classic flammkuchen, both were really good. The place looked quite busy on Sunday.

5 stars Wilma Wunder on the market square in Mainz is a real highlight! As soon as you arrive, you immediately feel at home thanks to the lovingly designed ambience. The food was fresh, creative and super tasty – we were particularly impressed with the breakfast. A huge compliment goes to our waitress Vanessa: she was incredibly warm, attentive and professional – simply perfect! With her positive nature, she made our visit something very special. Service like this stays in your memory. Thank you for this great moment – ​​we will definitely be back!
