We visited on a whim and were absolutely delighted. Very cozy and the service was top-notch. The food was also excellent and won everyone over.

I ordered the Klassiker Flammkuchen and a tea — both were delicious! The wait was quite long, but understandable since we came on a Saturday. The servers were very friendly and made the experience enjoyable overall.

The view outside is beautiful, and the atmosphere inside is lovely. The food selection is very creative, but unfortunately, the staff was very inattentive.

Wilma Wunder is a truly wonderful restaurant. The ambiance is lovely, the staff very friendly, and the food delicious. There's just ONE thing that leaves something to be desired, and that's the restrooms. Clean restrooms and a pleasant air freshener would be much appreciated. I sincerely hope something will be done about this soon. Thank you!

Clean, friendly, quiet and good

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The fitness noodles were delicious. A truly interesting and flavorful combination. The goat cheese is a really good addition to the dish. I'm deducting one star because the homemade lemonades contained an excessive amount of ice for the price, and the restrooms were really unpleasant.

We made a reservation for four people here on All Saints' Day, and it was the best decision. We felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in. The waitress was attentive and always politely asked if everything was alright, and we can confirm that it was! We'll gladly come back to Wilma's on our next visit to Mainz 🫠 The food was so delicious 😋 Recommended: Beef roulade Bread dumplings Pork schnitzel For a starter, the two of us women had the mushroom basket (from the current autumn menu), a creamy mushroom soup with bread.

A very nice restaurant, a great place to go with children. Upstairs, you have a beautiful view of the cathedral and the market square. The service is excellent, and the decor is fantastic. You can sit outside, inside, or on the first floor. The breakfast is plentiful and very good. Everything is very clean. This was my first time there and I was very pleasantly surprised.

Wilma Wunder in Mainz has a great vibe - bright, cozy, directly at the Market Square and perfect for a casual meal or brunch with friends. The food was fresh and nicely done and the drinks were spot-on. Service can get a bit slow when it is busy but everyone is friendly and the atmosphere makes up for it. Solid spot overall.

Great place to get German cuisine but in a little more refined and creative style! As I’m not German, I can’t really speak how that German dish I had really fits into German taste buds, but both for me, my parents and friends from abroad, the food was really great! Huge appreciation for vegan variants of German dishes!! Finally I could taste something German while being on vegan diet 😍 Big plus for really great coordination of servers and handling our reservation, while the restaurant was totally full. Maybe tiny minus for the place being really loud, the tables are very close to each other, we had little trouble chatting, but nothing not manageable :) Loved it and will return!

I visited Wilma Wunder's children's café, and unfortunately, it was rather disappointing overall. The space is far too small for the number of people it's supposed to accommodate – there are too many tables, and the play area is also really tiny. This quickly makes it noisy and cramped. It's also a bit inconvenient that you have to go outside and over to the actual café to use the restroom. That's quite inconvenient with small children. It's a shame, because the idea is actually nice – but the way it's currently implemented makes everything seem rather crowded and not very cozy.

A truly lovely café was in Mainz. Especially in summer, you can sit outside with a lovely view of the cathedral. The service is extremely friendly and attentive, and the coffee is excellent.

Very nice atmosphere, but instead of the tap water I ordered, they simply charged me €3 for table water with my iced coffee without informing me beforehand. The iced coffee was rather expensive at €7, and the taste unfortunately didn't justify the price. In total, I spent €12 for an iced coffee I didn't like and a water I didn't order.

Food was OK but not great. Sevice was OK and it is in a good location. It is one of the few restaurants open in the area on Sunday but I recommend going somewhere else if possible.

A perfect evening in an excellent restaurant. With a reserved table, everything went smoothly and on time. Our service was absolutely top-notch, and the rest of the team was polite, customer-oriented, and truly on the ball. We recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

Delicious food with extremely friendly and attentive staff – I felt at home. Regarding value for money: two slices of bread with two eggs and salad now cost €13.90, with avocado cream cheese as an extra for another €2.90. A hot drink is added for about €5. So, in terms of quantity, you don't get much to keep you full for long, but in this example, you still pay about €22. Nevertheless, I can generally recommend it.

Not the best food honestly. It’s just a very pretty place.

We were in the restaurant's new children's area with our little ones. It was very small and cramped, with a larger play area for children. We didn't eat there, but we were able to enjoy our coffee ☕️ while the little ones played with their toys. Service could only be called via a bell placed at each table. It can sometimes take a while for someone to come down from the restaurant upstairs. Perfect for parents with children!!!

If you're looking for a beautiful, special place and want to go with your children, this restaurant is highly recommended. If you want to meet up with friends, have breakfast, and have a pleasant time, this is a great place. It's a bit expensive, but that's understandable given the location in the center of town. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere are really pleasant and lovingly designed. The place doesn't really need reviews; I'm just writing them because they're really good at what they do. I hope they maintain their quality, because I've never had a bad experience here.

Highly recommended! We visited with five people for a small birthday lunch and were completely satisfied. There was even a small cake for the birthday boy or girl on the reserved table – a small treat, but one that made the birthday boy or girl very happy. The service was excellent, attentive, and courteous; even a large dog was no problem. The dishes we had were all lovingly prepared. The price was a bit on the higher side – but since we were also served very deliciously and well, that's fine. There were always vegan alternatives for every course. A big plus for me personally: the only restaurant I've come across so far that serves konjac noodles – a dream as a keto dieter ❤️ I also found the fitness noodles very sophisticated and deliciously prepared with all the ingredients. One minor criticism: The fitness noodles, which I had ordered as actively vegan, still came with a small pot of hard cheese, which I naturally didn't touch. I assume that such things aren't allowed to be passed on to other guests and, at worst, end up in the trash. An option to exclude this from a vegan order might be a good idea. There's no penalty for that, though—just a suggestion. We had a great time and will be back.

Delicious food and very friendly service.

We've been there several times. The food was always good, the service friendly. Today was our first time there with our 10-month-old son. We were struck by how child-friendly the restaurant is. Accessible, stroller parking, and a free meal for babies/toddlers (porridge, spaetzle, or frothed milk). The changing table was stocked with diapers! We were thrilled.

Wilma Wunder in Mainz is truly one of the most beautiful places to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening. The location is fantastic – the outdoor area, in particular, invites you to linger with its cozy atmosphere and beautiful view of the hustle and bustle of the city. From a culinary perspective, our visit was a complete success: The Pinot Gris was perfectly tempered and a delight. A real highlight were the truffle fries – crispy, aromatic, and simply heavenly! What made the visit special, however, was the outstanding service. Fiona and Musa took great care of us: friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Our dog was immediately provided with fresh water and a treat, which shows that they really think of everything here. Conclusion: Wilma Wunder is a top-notch venue in a perfect location with outstanding service, delicious food, and an atmosphere that simply puts you at ease. We will definitely be back!

Wilma Wunder in Mainz - right on Domplatz There are two Wilma Wunder restaurants in Mainz; we went to the one on Domplatz. The Wilma Wunder invites you to linger. From here, you have a wonderful view of the cathedral. The service is friendly and prompt, just as it should be. Since the Wilma Wunder is located in the pedestrian zone, arriving by car doesn't make much sense. Just park in one of the nearby parking garages. We only had two sunshine drinks and watched the hustle and bustle on the market square. The drinks were exactly as they should be. If my review was helpful to you, please leave me a 👍.

Despite having a reservation, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed. After ordering, the food came very quickly; the service was really prompt. A subsequent drink, however, took a while. But the fried egg and bacon, for example, were only lukewarm. It was very noisy inside on the first floor. A few diffusers on the ceiling or room dividers would work wonders. There were three of us here, and we all agreed that another visit could wait.

This is my second time there. The ambiance is so lovely, and so is the food.

I really enjoyed it. Very friendly service, clean restrooms, stroller parking, and, of course, a delicious breakfast. It was the hearty breakfast with fried bantam chicken and the Bali bowl. Both were delicious and plentiful: filling without feeling stuffed.

We sat outside, watched the people pass by. It's very difficult to be annoyed by this restaurant, drank wine, ate cheese. We admired the surroundings

I’m surprised this restaurant is relatively highly rated. It was fine, but all of our food was very bland and the menu is pretty limited. The atmosphere is nice but the service was below average. Our server also asked me for a tip, which has never happened to me before in Germany.

Got scammed at this restaurant. I ordered just one main course and one drink, namely Lachs-Spinat-Nudeln (15,90€) and Blaubeer-Basilikum-Limo (6,80€). When I asked for the bill, I was told to pay 29,50€ and I didn’t pay too much attention so I just paid with my card. However I did ask for the receipt. When I got back to the hotel and checked my receipt again, I realised the waitress only gave me my credit card payment receipt, NOT the receipt with my orders. It was missing a corner too. Then I remember this restaurant has online menus so I just looked up and checked, the sum of my two orders would ONLY be 22,70€. I DID NOT offer to tip! I hope this was a mistake but to all the tourists, please be extra careful! The food was delicious though.

They also have plenty of space for customers, including a balcony overlooking the cathedral. The service is very friendly. I recommend visiting this restaurant if you're visiting Mainz.

Service here is the best of any place I have been in the last 8 weeks. Orders are taken quickly and before you can look fully through the large nice room and the outside scenery, the food is coming already!. Fresh salad, good espresso and cappuccino. The young waiter was given us exceptional good service! Many cafe's & restaurants can start learning here. The staff is so nice and true friendly.

Great service, yummy food, and great housemade beverages. Will gladly come back. I'm vegetarian, and was readily and fully accomodated. Also: try to get seated on their balcony - just trust me on that one. The only suggestion would be to expand dessert menu.
