(See photo) ✅ Low-carb tip: Konjac noodles – delicious, light & something different ✅ Cake counter: always well filled with great treats Great ambience, friendly service and simply a place to feel good. I am so angry at this place, it is unbelievable the service we got. My friend and I went to sit outdoors last Friday at 5pm because the weather was nice by that time and asked for a drink. We later asked the waitress (a thin brunette-coloured hair) at 7pm to relocate us inside since it was getting very cold and wanted to order food, she said: yes, let me find an empty table. The place inside was empty! There were easily 7 empty tables without a reservation! We were freezing, I got sick the next day and had to go to the doctor because of that! We waited for her one hour, since she looked outside a couple of times ignoring us completely of course. After one hour we gave up and went inside to pay, completely frozen and hungry. I don't know if this is some kind of policy of the restaurant, to keep 10 tables empty inside just in case someone arrives, instead of treating decently your current customers. I will never go back and I will tell everyone that your service is crap. What kind of treat is that? What kind of bias discrimination is it? as we saw other people without a reservetion getting the free tables inside before us, that we didn't event get one.

I had breakfast there with a friend today and it was just really great. The buffet was varied and very tasty. The service was very nice and we felt very comfortable. An absolute recommendation!

A nicely decorated cafe, relatively cozy. The service person was friendly, but did not respond to our complaint. The latte art and the taste of the cappuccino, very different quality. Unfortunately, value for money is not given at all.

We were invited to brunch, since I'm fasting 18/6, I was really hungry at 12:15: I tried and ate almost everything, I liked EVERYTHING, I liked the selection, my wife missed additional warm dishes - I didn't, 100% recommendation!

I ordered a salad. A few lettuce leaves came with a halved slice of tomato and two slices of cucumber. I ordered chicken strips for almost €5. Those were two tiny pieces.

A nice cafe with good drinks in a good location in Mainz. We tried the homemade lemonade and iced tea and later ordered tarte flambée. The drinks are very good and the iced tea is also available with sparkling water if desired. The tarte flambée is not bad, there are a few unusual varieties, for example with beetroot cream. Overall we were satisfied.

Wir waren heute zum Sonntagsbrunch im Café. Die Tische waren ausgebucht und es herrschte ein höher Lärmpegel. Es war keine entspannte Atmosphäre, welche ich mir bei einem gemütlichen Brunch gewünscht hätte. Die Auswahl an Brötchen war gering und für den Preis hätte ich mir normal große Brötchen gewünscht. Außerdem eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken (Wasser/ Saft) fände ich im Preis angemessen. Alles in allem habe ich mich am Ende ein wenig geärgert, denn das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat meinen Erwartungen nicht entsprochen.

Unfortunately I have to leave my frustration here - it has nothing to do with the staff, the ambience or the taste of the food. Everything was great there. The four of us were there for an Advent/Christmas brunch and were looking forward to little specialties and a different buffet apart from what is usually served on Sundays. Our expectations were justified by a surcharge of €10 per person. We've all been there on Sundays several times and can compare the whole thing. Unfortunately this time it was an absolute failure in terms of price-performance. Very unfortunate.

Great location. The service is really nice. The cake is delicious. I can particularly recommend the elderberry spritzer. Simply delicious. There is even a small play area where the children can play.

Very, very friendly service at the entrance, tried hard to ensure that we got two more seats because we hadn't made a reservation at 11 a.m. in the morning. The food was received by very friendly waitresses - they didn't get impatient with questions about ingredients due to allergies - and it tasted very tasty. It was full but still pleasant, the other guests were also very nice.

A beautiful café in Mainz. Furnished with a lot of love. A mega buffet. If you don't find anything there, it's your own fault. The service staff are super nice and very friendly. And people pay attention to sustainability.

Went here for brunch a few days ago. The selection from the buffet is great. From salads to cakes, there is everything your heart desires. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Would love to come back.

The food was okay - tasty but nothing special. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't speak English, so it's hard to communicate. The atmosphere is ok, quite pleasant.

The ambience and service are very good here. We were there for dinner and unfortunately the food only came to the table lukewarm. I would also have expected more from the taste. It is probably particularly recommended here for breakfast and as a café. All in all, it's okay with a fairly interesting menu.

There were four of us there in the evening and we ordered the cheese fondue. The cheese fondue was very tasty and creamy. The baguette freshly baked. There are also pickled vegetables made from peppers, carrots, onions and cucumbers. We also ordered broccoli. The pickled vegetables were quite sour, so next time we would order grapes instead of broccoli for contrast. The fondue is definitely very plentiful. We tried our hand at dessert: the most interesting was the cookie - the pistachio cream was very rich and sweet and contrasted well with the crispy baked croissant. Additionally, there was cookie dough on the croissant. If you prefer the biscuit fully baked, the pan biscuit is recommended. The pan comes to the table hot - it couldn't be fresher! If you want a very classic dessert, the winter special apple strudel is a good choice. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly service! The acoustics with a lot of visitors are also a little better than in the Wilma Wunder am Dom. Overall, really highly recommended. Reservations are almost always a must.

One of my absolute go tos in Mainz! Great location on a side street near Schillerplatz and a cozy living room atmosphere. This is underlined by the friendly and warm service. The food always comes quickly and tastes good. The Sunday brunch is particularly recommended; The cozy ambience invites you to relax and feast. If you can't make it to the local restaurant, the delivery service is also really good! 👍🏻

Es war sehr schön und angenehm bei Wilma. Sehr nette Bedienung, leckeres Essen und Getränke. Anfangs war es sehr ruhig, später wurde es lauter, aber noch im Rahmen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wie immer war ich mit allem sehr zufrieden. Die Lautstärke war lebhaft, sicher auch der Tatsache geschuldet, dass wir zu zweit in der Mitte des Raums saßen und nicht am Rand. Beim nächsten Mal bitte ich bei der Reservierung um einen Platz am Rand 😊

Vom Ankommen bis zum Bezahlen eine sehr gelungener Aufenthalt bei Wilma Wunder. Das Brunch-Büffet war ein Genuss! Super vielfältige Auswahl an klassischer Frühstückssachen, Salaten, schmackhaften Warmspeisen und klasse Desserts. Für vegetarische und vegane Alternativen ist gesorgt. Im heimelig gestalteten Café am Ballhausplatz kann man es sich für 2&halb Stunden richtig gut gehen lassen. Das Preis/Leistung-Verhältnis ist absolut ok! Kommen gerne wieder.

Der Empfang war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, allerdings waren auf einigen Tellern von uns kein gemischtes Brot und die Butter hätte auch mehr sein können. Ansonsten hat es gut geschmeckt. Die Nachbestellung von Kaffee wurde allerdings schlichtweg vergessen, was etwas ärgerlich war. Wir haben uns dann zum Abschluss für ein Glas Aperol entschieden, welcher wirklich lecker und gut gemacht war . Bis auf Kleinigkeiten können wir WW wirklich empfehlen, das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und man kann dort eine schöne Zeit verleben. Wir kommen wieder!!! ;-)

Das Frühstück im Wilma Wunder am Ballplatz war geschmacklich ein Genuss. Das Ambiente ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Liebe zum Detail. Wir fanden es toll, dass man nicht so aufeinander sitz und Platz zum Nachbar ist. Es wird auf nachhaltige Produkte gesetzt. Aber alles andere war teilweise außergewöhnlich und lecker. Sehr freundliche Bedienung wir kommen gerne wieder.

The two of us were there for brunch on a Sunday. If the table is reserved for 10:30 a.m., you still have until 12:00 p.m. to have brunch, after which you have to leave because the table will be reallocated. Either you come very early to make full use of the time or very late (from 12:30 p.m.). The times can be seen on the website. On the buffet you will find bread and rolls, Danish pastries, sweet spreads, fruit salad, yoghurt, muesli, sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, pancakes, cakes and desserts. Also two warm lunch dishes and various salads. The selection is good and fresh. For €20.50 per person I missed at least still water on offer. Therefore only 3 stars for service overall, the on-site service is friendly and reliable. A large cappuccino costs almost €5, so overall it's a reasonably priced brunch. The atmosphere at Wilma Wunder is nice and not overcrowded thanks to the reservation slots.
