"Good bourgeois cuisine" Almost a rarity in Mainz

We had a very nice visit to the Glöckle. The vegetarian offering is varied and the service was also very friendly. We enjoyed the food excellently. However, the ice cream with strawberries could have had more strawberries. The prices are great too! Thank you!

Were there to eat schnitzel. The service was friendly, unobtrusive and quick. The portions are large and tasty. Unfortunately it wasn't fresh schnitzel but frozen goods. The mushroom cream was also made from jarred mushrooms. Nevertheless, it was tasty and the price-performance ratio was good.

Nice shop with delicious, simple German cuisine, friendly service and good beer. The naturally cloudy one is particularly recommended.

Wonderful German restaurant. It is not very large, so plan ahead if you want to visit. We selected several schnitzel and sausages along with the sides to share/try between four of us. All good along with a couple of beers. Highly recommend.

The food was good, service too. Had soup as a starter, schnitzel as a main course. That was too much 😄 you should tell the guest that there are 2 schnitzels, or offer a small portion with one schnitzel. I think the prices are very fair these days.

Was a little disappointed... The portion was a lot more for the money... Had the menu for two but was actually a portion for one sadly... The service was a bit conceited...sorry it didn't work at all.

The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is very rustic but still very nice, the drinks are very tasty, the locations are super clean and also made of rustic wood. The seating options inside and outside are super comfortable. The food came quickly and was also very tasty, a big compliment to the chef. The price-performance ratio is good and justified. The portions are large and you'll feel very full.

Thursday is minced steak day. Price/performance good, minced steak quite ok.

Unfortunately I can only give two stars. The food and price are actually ok, but that night I had severe problems with my digestion and that lasted until the next day, when my toilet was my best friend. And that wasn't just me, but 4 out of 5 colleagues. Service was super friendly and accommodating.

There was a large sign outside the door that read “Oven-fresh and crispy knuckles”. So the choice of food was made. But if a restaurant doesn't know how to get the knuckle crispy, they shouldn't mention it and advertise it. Otherwise it was tasty. But drinks don't want to be sold either, because you sit there eating with an empty glass for ages. Ok, you just drink 1 beer. If you want to pay, it takes an eternity because there is only one lady responsible for it. (It was Monday and it really wasn't crowded) The anticipation of a crispy knuckle was great, the atmosphere was very nice and the service was so-so. I was a little disappointed in general.

Minced steak on minced steak day. The advertised minced steak menu (quote evening menu: “Tip: Ask for our minced steak menu!”) doesn’t even exist. Since I like mett and tartare, it wasn't a problem that what was served was still red. Unfortunately the pepper sauce had to be peppered and the beer sauce didn't taste like anything either. The fairly light fries felt like they weren't mixed through after being salted and the fried potatoes, which according to the menu were *crispy*, were more like dumplings that were cut and could have browned a little in the pan. They were warmed in oil. Music, a mishmash of old German hip hop but way too loud. Service staff friendly.

The toilets are catastrophic, not clean and the toilet seat was broken. The rest of the toilets are so bad that you can lose your taste. Unfortunately my food wasn't that great either The bratwursts were immediately cold and my companion had a black hair in the schnitzel. I won't be coming here again. So I can't recommend it any further.

Very tasty food, reasonable portions at a reasonable price, extremely friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere. All in all, it was a very pleasant visit to a home-style restaurant.

Food was really good, but there were several things that weren't available even though they were on the menu (spirits, vegetarian food, fried potatoes and schnitzel). In addition, you could only pay in cash because the card reader didn't work. After we paid 200 euros and gave a tip, the waitress reacted inappropriately and wished us a “nice evening”.

I was here for the first time today. Everything was very tasty, I had a Champion cream schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel had been rumbled a little too much or had gone through the steaker. Personally, I like the schnitzel to be a little firmer. The champions were fresh and very tasty. The service was super friendly. I would be happy to come back. I was also lucky, even though I didn't make a reservation on a Friday evening, they were able to offer me a place. We recommend the beer sample for €7:50 with 5 different types of beer, 0.1 l each

The food was cold and the fried potatoes were old. We like to go out to eat and sometimes spend a few euros more but here. I can only say no. The cook should be sent back to apprenticeship.

A very nice restaurant in the city center with a very nice atmosphere, polite and helpful waiters and excellent food. We ate the goulash that we received in a convenient ceramic bowl quite quickly after ordering. The taste was really very good! Recommendation to everyone who passes by this restaurant and is looking for a good place to have lunch.

Am Essen fehlte Gewürze, zum Glück war Pfeffer und Salz auf den Tisch. Hatte Kohlroulade die nicht angebraten war sondern nur gekocht.

Waren mit der ganzen Familie essen. Die Bedinung war schnell und freundlich. Das Paprikaschnitzel war einfach spitze! Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren zu 5 da hatten jeder unterschiedliches Essen,es war alles sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Die Portionen waren groß und das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist Gut. Der Service ist gut und freundlich. Da kann man garnichts verkehrt machen. Guten Hunger

Nach versuchten Besuch des Weihnachtsmarktes, der wegen Massenandrangs nicht wirklich möglich war, sind wir dort eingekehrt. Obwohl wir keine Tischbestellung hatten und das Lokal sehr gut besucht war, bekamen wir einen Tisch und haben (4 Personen) sehr gut gespeist. Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur weiterempfehlen. Wir waren nur kurz in Mainz und waren alle begeistert.

Essen sehr gut, der Service, trotz Stress zuvorkommend und das Ambiente war auch sehr gut. Ich werde es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben nach dem Weihnachtsmarkt den Abend hier ausklingen lassen. Es war Schnitztag und so war die Entscheidung schnell getroffen. Bedienung war schnell, das Essen gut. Preis-Leistung stimmen. Gut das das Essen schnell serviert wurde. Nach einiger Zeit kam ein „Toilettenduft“ auf. Wir sassen in der Nähe des Eingangs, aber es war wirklich sehr unangenehm. Beim Besuchen der Toilette muss ich sagen, der Gestank war noch schlimmer. Uns ist aber aufgefallen, der Duft kam nicht aus der Toilette, sondern über die Lüftung. Immer mal wieder wurde der Duft stärker und verzog sich wieder. Sorry, aber das müsst ihr abstellen.

La atencion rápida y el servicio de comida igual de rápido! Sentimos que el precio fue un poco elevado, no obstante los platos eran muy generosos! Lo recomiendo!

Netter Wirt, trotz wenig Platz und ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz bekommen. Es wurde sich gut um uns gesorgt. Essen war ganz gut. Kartenzahlung möglich.

Wir waren vollumfänglich zufrieden! Essen auf den punkt service war adäquat. Ein runder abend. In jeglicher hinsicht zu empfehlen :) Lediglich ein schönheitsmakel die Salz und Pfeffermühlen... So ein schönes Ambiente, passende Teller, passende Deko. Könnte man noch holzmühlen besorgen um die 100% zu vervollständigen :)

Очень вкусный гуляшь и сосиски с квашеной капустой. Порции большие, еду принесли быстро. Десерт очень вкусный с винным соусом.
