On Römerberg Square is Haus Wertheim, the only original house from the 1600s in the historic center. It's a three-story building, quite charming with its half-timbered facade. Currently, the ground floor houses a restaurant and is one of the must-see places in Frankfurt. We went there for a beer to appreciate the atmosphere inside. We really liked it.

Last night we waited over 2 hours for our food. After asking the waiter, she said that the chef was doing what he wanted and that he couldn't be talked into it. He just wouldn't feel like it today, unbelievable. Unfortunately it was too late to go to another restaurant. I can't recommend this restaurant. You won't see us there again. It's a shame because the atmosphere is very nice

A rustic restaurant. The food is delicious and served in a down-to-earth manner. The portions are filling. The interior could use a refresh. The owner and his son could be friendlier sometimes. But all in all, good home cooking.

The food was okay, and the service was very friendly. We only went there once, but we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area.

It was a farmer's market with a lot! good weather. So it's accordingly full. The restaurant was completely unprepared for this rush. We had to wait almost an hour for the food. Kitchen and staff totally overwhelmed. The Djuvecreis is a mess. The pork was way too dry, the beef was ok. French fries, well. In any case, we won't go there again. Drinks took almost half an hour. Customers were served earlier than us, even though we were there earlier. Despite all the excuses, this isn't possible!

After our walk in the city forest, we wanted to briefly relax at the Goethe Tower and have something to eat and drink. Since the weather was very nice and it was the only location on site, it was crowded, but not unreasonable. Despite at least 3-4 service staff, we had to wait more than 15 minutes before we could place our order (two drinks and fries with sausage), neighboring tables were not cleared quickly and guests knew how to help themselves if they needed cutlery or ketchup/mayo, including taking them from the neighboring table. What can we say: If you want to wait longer than 40/45 minutes for a simple meal, you can go there. But don't you dare ask if it's been forgotten or how long it's taking, unless you're happy to make do with stupid statements. We won't be coming back due to poor service and questionable price/performance ratio... It probably also speaks volumes that guests got up and left because they had to wait an unreasonably long time for simple food and drinks.

Yesterday we had dinner with 4 people. Different dishes and everyone was very satisfied. The service was attentive and nice.

0 stars! I don't have to write much. The taste and preparation were absolutely not good and the portions were only designed for children.

According to the manager, and information relayed by the waiter, the rent is €50,000, which is why, when the weather is nice and warm, you have to eat in the garden. Two drinks, goulash soup and ice cream with warm raspberries, weren't enough according to the waiter. We had them anyway, but fearing the consequences from the manager. Thanks for the nice threats! Threats are certainly free, which is why we wouldn't spend another cent there. Never again!

Went here just for a beer. At a price of €5.90 for a small wheat beer, I can only assume this is a tourist trap. The furnishings are very special, but actually comfortable. Would come again if it weren't for the prices.

20 Min gewartet, bis wir die Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Dann noch mal fast eine Stunde gewartet, dann kam ein Essen nicht mit - das kam dann, als wir anderen fertig waren. Keine Entschuldigung, unfreundliches Personal. Die Portionen waren klein und nicht besonders lecker. Einmaliges Erlebnis - das man nicht wieder haben muss.
