The green sauce was bland, but the pork knuckle, Maultaschen (swabian ravioli), schnitzel, Käsespätzle (cheese spatula), and even apple strudel were delicious. Friendly service. Not very busy on weekday evenings.

It's a beautiful spot on the Main River, but unfortunately, we came home still hungry! We ate quite well, but unfortunately, the portions of the daily special were tiny! We ordered a schnitzel with chanterelle sauce and spaetzle and got a mini schnitzel (this restaurant usually serves two schnitzels in other dishes) and fried potatoes! When we asked, we were told that this dish only served one schnitzel. Not even a child could have been fed with this dish, which cost €23.90! Furthermore, we weren't informed until the dish was served at our table that they didn't have spaetzle (which is what this dish calls for) that day! What a shame!

We celebrated a 60th birthday with 50 guests, and everyone was absolutely thrilled. The staff was very attentive, very friendly, and immediately fulfilled all our requests. The buffet consisted of wonderful, freshly prepared, creative salads, tender, pink-roasted roast beef, rolled roast suckling pig, and zander fillet with various delicious side dishes. A change was even made at short notice, including a vegetarian dish. Many other smaller dishes, as well as dessert and a variety of cheeses, were available. It was beautifully presented. We had the restaurant and part of the beer garden to ourselves. A big compliment also goes to the DJ, Peter Hübscher, who was recommended to us by Ms. Heimann. We celebrated until 2 a.m., and even then, the staff were still in a great mood, just like us and our guests. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we'd be happy to come back.

At Paulaner Platzhirsch, you immediately feel welcome: The food is excellent, a successful blend of Bavarian and Frankfurt cuisine. Everything is freshly prepared and served with love. The service is also super friendly and attentive, making you feel completely at home. It's a shame that some of the negative reviews seem to come from competitors. We went to a birthday party at Platzhirsch. It was a fantastic buffet, with delicious, delicious food and fantastic service. We especially want to thank Mathias. The ambiance was fantastic, and it was a wonderful evening.

An absolute disaster! The staff were rude and unfriendly, and they showed no consideration for people with disabilities. I've rarely experienced such disrespect. The food was unkind, tasteless, and completely worthless. A visit you'd better avoid – never again!

TERRIBLE STAFF! There were 6 of us and we were all prepared to eat and drink there, but we were sent out because one person wasn't wearing any shoes due to a foot injury... this was skillfully ignored and we were sent out. We said adios, bye and ciao and were called after even though we acted without argument. When we asked if we could go to the toilet we were told "50 cents for you", to which we were told no, not then and we were told "fuck off"... we were treated unpleasantly. I then pointed this out to the staff again and they waved us off with "THE BOSS" wants it that way but why was we talked to as if we were something less than us?

I witnessed a woman with a visible foot injury attempting to enter a store and being turned away. Instead of showing understanding or support, she was even asked to leave. This behavior seemed discriminatory and completely inappropriate to me. A store should treat everyone with respect – especially if someone has an obvious disability. This kind of behavior is unacceptable to me, and I will no longer shop there.

I am deeply disappointed by the way this store treats its customers. A woman with a visible foot injury was discriminated against and treated with disrespect, instead of receiving understanding and support. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, but simply unacceptable. A store should be accessible and welcoming to everyone, regardless of injury or disability. I hope those responsible reconsider their behavior and ensure this doesn't happen again. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this store.

Unfortunately, by 12pm, two dishes from the daily menu were already sold out. Apart from that, the food was very good.

I ate there with my wife on May 13, 2025, around 4 p.m. The food was cold but okay. I informed the waiter. Unfortunately, I started feeling nauseous and vomiting that night. We're both still bedridden.

Unfortunately I have to write a bad review. We were here last week and had sauerkraut and fried potatoes. Unfortunately, it resulted in my wife and I having a completely bad stomach upset and not being able to eat anything for a day. I don't even want to know what the rotten food looks like in the kitchen. Unfortunately not recommended at all. I just hope that no other guest has to have this experience.

Spontaneous stop for a walk along the Main. The temperatures were so pleasant that we sat down on the terrace and simply enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere for two hours. The service was really great!

We celebrated a family celebration with 30 people at the Paulaner Platzhirsch and were thrilled. The boss was very flexible and friendly in the preparation, helped us with perfectly fitting suggestions for the buffet and made a fair offer. The implementation was just as perfect. Everything was prepared for the guests on time. We had a nice, separated area in the restaurant so we sat a little to ourselves, but still in life. (I hate those musty back rooms that you sometimes have to go to as a group.) The service was very attentive, always friendly and caring, everything went quickly. The food was top notch, very fresh and tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and tasteful, very nice. I didn't know the Paulaner top dog and was pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. Nice location right on the Main and lots of parking spaces in front of the door, very practical. We'll be back!

Very very tasty! There were four of us, everyone ordered something different and all the dishes were great. The waiter was very friendly and the shop is very nice and cozy. Also recommended for the cold season.

Finally a restaurant that knows its craft. The service is very friendly, attentive and fulfills all wishes. The kitchen knows how to cook and is flexible. The dishes are varied and yet have a clear style. It's fun to stop by with family and friends. No matter what you order, everything should be finished with the Kaiserschmarren.

Grüne Soße sehr lecker Schnitzel tip top Pommes statt Bratkartoffeln war kein Problem VEG. Burger: laut unserer Bekannten: der beste den sie bisher gegessen hat. Die Haxe: knusprig Wir mussten ein wenig warten aber die Terrasse war auch wegen dem Superwetter kompl. Ausgebucht. Das Personal war natürlich bei der Hitze nicht zu beneiden blieb aber durchweg freundlich und entschuldigte sich schon bei der Ankunft dafür das es bei den Speisen etwas länger dauern könnte. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Am Ende erfuhren wir das das kompl. Küchenpersonal ausgetauscht wurde. Dann bitte weiter so und wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Sommer im Platzhirsch Wir waren sehr zufrieden

It's always nice here, actually always nice conditions (gentlemen) but today we were served by a lady who unfortunately gave us a bit of a miss, we never knew anything like that from the nice gentleman who usually serves us, we usually just drink something here, or only eat small things

Food with cold potatoes, the service staff were overwhelmed with a registered group of 40 - 50 people and there were ravens in the trees that stuck to the terrace several times.

The ambience and service outside were great. However, we were unlucky with the food. We had to return 2 of 6 meals. Once a burger (bun deep black, patty fried to death), once a rather tough boiled beef, which was then swapped for a schnitzel. The scampi skewers were missing from two other meals. BTW: Food was also returned to 2 other tables. We were there at Easter before and everything was ok. The service itself was first class, super nice and attentive. Something urgently needs to be changed in the kitchen. It would be a shame for a nice restaurant on the Main.

Waren mit Freunden aus Australien dort, um typisch Hessisch bzw. Frankfurter Essen in einem Biergarten zu genießen. Irgendwie war von Anfang an der Wurm drin. Die Tische im Schatten waren seltsamerweise alle reserviert (was sich als Ausrede herausstellen sollte - die Kellnerin hatte wohl keine Lust auf neue Gäste in ihrem Bereich). Und das bei über 30 Grad. Nachdem wir uns die Menükarten selber geholt hatten, nahm die andere Kellnerin die Bestellung auf. Soweit okay, doch die Wartezeit aufs Essen war schon extrem lang (über 45 Minuten), obwohl das Lokal noch nicht einmal zur Hälfte gefüllt war. Fisch, Tafelspitz und Wurstsalat wurden serviert. Nur mein Essen - Grüne Soße mit Kartoffeln und Eiern kamen nicht. Auf Nachfrage sollen die Eier das Problem der Verzögerung gewesen sein. Nach weiteren 15-20 Minuten ohne Zwischenbescheid oder Entschuldigung wurde dann das Essen serviert. Und das war echt übel. Eine Schüssel grüner Soße, eine (!) verkochte zerbrochene Kartoffel und statt den in der Speisekarte angekündigten 4 halben Eiern gab es gerade mal 4 Viertel. Das war dann doch Zuviel des Guten und ich brachte das Essen persönlich zur Küche. Dafür hatte ich über eine Stunde warten dürfen 😡 Ein Gericht, das eine 10-jährige in ein paar Minuten besser hinbekommen hätte. Nie wieder kommen wir dorthin zurück. Die Kellnerin hat noch versucht, die Situation mit einer Runde Mispelchen zu retten, aber auch dabei ging etwas schief, nachdem sie ein Glas davon umkippte und das Handy wässerte 😳🤬

If you read the previous reviews, nothing seems to have improved in terms of service. The promise here of "Give us a second chance and we'll show you that we can do better" turns out to be empty talk. Unfortunately, the management of this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The beautiful location on the Main and the appealing ambience in the restaurant are the plus points.

That turned out bad... Lots of seating, but when a group comes you are told that the kitchen is overloaded and you have to wait at least an hour. There are a lot of seats available outside and they get nothing warm at 6:00 p.m., only cold... A shame, especially since it's a reservation for the group... Not everyone can plan... Luckily I didn't bring my friends from Vienna with me... disappointing...

We had a very nice and friendly service who made a lot of effort. Unfortunately, she couldn't compensate for the poor performance of the kitchen. I had veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and green sauce. The portion wasn't very big and unfortunately the taste was absolutely nothing special. Fried potatoes without spices, onions or anything - pure potato slices... The schnitzel was quite small and also tasteless. Overall, I cannot recommend a visit.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for a lunch on a sunny Sunday. I had no reservation but they gave us a table. We thought we would wait a little bit because the restaurant had many clients but we didn't expect to wait for our food for more than two hours. We waived at the waiter few times because we had the impression he had forgotten us. He was always nodding back. After 1h and 50 minutes he came to tell us the food we ordered was not available and gave us only two other options. We chose chicken and salad or something similar and it was nothing special. When we complained - had we learnt earlier that our order was not available and we had to wait for so long, we would have gone elsewhere. Instead of apologising he told us that staff was limited and clients were many because of the good weather. He could have informed us earlier and gave us the choice! Not only we didn't receive an apology or a drink to compensate for the situation, but it seemed it was our fault because we chose the restaurant. I went to the washroom while my friend went to the counter and pay. The waiter didn't see at the table and went to the entrance to check if we had left without paying. We didn't leave any tip and we definitely don't go there again. Very bad service and no consideration for the client.

Were there with work to celebrate our summer party. (10 people) Were greeted unfriendly at first, but then they tried very hard to be courteous. However, the first impression remains. The food wasn't bad but nothing special either. The selection of desserts isn't that great, so we went further to the next restaurant afterwards.

Maybe it could have been nice. But in heavy rain as a cyclist just wanting to order a drink there without cash... No chance. Under 10 euros only cash payment. Fees too high. How in all other countries even chewing gum in a kiosk can be paid for with a card is puzzling. Definitely not here. My daughter's school year had booked a fixed date on June 8, 2024 at 5 p.m. He was canceled by the restaurant the day before. About 50 people also traveled from far away. So be careful! if you book a larger event at Platzhirsch! Therefore no point; only a bad memory remains.

Nice Bavarian beer garden. But it's also really nice inside. We ate the white sausages, which were really good, also the pretzel. The wheat beer on tap goes perfectly with it. Service good, service nice. So everything was fine and we will come back.

Slow service, no questions, long wait. Went to sit somewhere which was apparently not allowed, nothing was indicated. Blonde waitress grumpily indicated that I was not allowed to sit there, so I had to move it. She ignored me for the rest of the evening. Didn't ask for another drink, just picked up glasses and wasn't looked at again. Really bad service. Not recommended

Incredibly long waiting times for the food to arrive and that with a table occupancy that was absolutely manageable. I received 4 croquettes with my schnitzel and nothing else... Here it seems as if the employees are not really experts.

Good food, typical local cuisine, beautiful outdoor area - but the best thing was the exceptionally good and incredibly friendly service! The waitress Orchi was just great. 6 stars for her! Our group consisted of restaurateurs and everyone was thrilled. Thank you again for a successful evening, we'll be happy to come back.

Very slow service. You have to chase the waiter if you want to get food. Not really professional. But they are at least very friendly. Food is very overpriced. I ordered an escalope that costs 24 euros, and I was expecting a big portion of meat and was just 2 tiny tiny portions of normal cheap meat full of leaking oil.... impressive... For a very basic salad, mainly lettuce costed 19 euros. Price-quality I don't recommend.

Very nice hostess, but you should be careful when selecting the service staff. One hour and a half for käsespätzle and it never came and when we asked for several times... they said there was no cheese. So they gave us only two options, a salad or a schnitzel and said that it would come in 5 minutes.... finally the salad came. Yes, it was full, but at least a friendly, brief greeting as you passed would have been nice. After ordering, we waited another 20 minutes for drinks. 1 shandy and 1 beer were ordered. Two beers arrived, both stale and stale. When ordering the food, the waiter mentioned that the meal might take time. So it was 1.5 hours until the food came. That's not nice, but it's acceptable - IF, perhaps they would ask for drinks again in the meantime. So we sat for an hour in front of empty glasses. When the food came, there was great disappointment. The schnitzel for 25 euros was tiny and came with a handful of fried potatoes. Both unpleasantly greasy, but unseasoned. Part of the order was then forgotten. When this was pointed out, the waiter replied that the rest would be brought quickly. That took another 10 minutes. By then my partner had finished eating. Again, no one asked whether there was something else to drink or whether it tasted good. The bill came very quickly. When we politely pointed out that the food was really not good, the answer was that he couldn't know that beforehand because he wouldn't try the food first. And not a word of apology. Conclusion: 60 euros for nothing.

One service for 50 people. it's just a little bit. Then why don't you get temporary help in advance? That wasn't the first time there. We left the store after complaining. Definitely not again!

The ambience in the interior is sophisticated and offers a great atmosphere. The menu has something to choose from for everyone. Whether meat, vegetarian or something sweet for dessert, the food is tasteful and absolutely well prepared. The service is friendly and understandingly courteous. Flexibility for special requests is not a problem. The Platzhirsch is definitely worth a visit for anyone who likes both regulars' table flair and a bit of upscale ambience. I give it a clear recommendation and I would be happy to come back.

(I think the bread was forgotten but hey, we're human, it can happen) Food:.... green sauce, burger with fried potatoes (unfortunately fries were out). ..and the highlight is the Schäufle.....uffff....super tasty...tender meat very well seasoned....but definitely too much for me...I was thinking of a small container with meat... .no....thought wrong...Picture follows....and if the mimimi say potatoes aren't salted enough....hey...order salt with it...I thought it was great like that.... .keep it up...it was super tasty....

The map on the internet is no longer up to date. From 2024 there will be a new and smaller map. It's not bad that the menu has become smaller, but some good dishes are no longer there, which is a shame. Maybe reconsider. Absolutely child-friendly, as food for the child came first. The prices for some drinks and some dishes are not justified. Price adjustment is clear, but it would be good to check.

Das Essen war lecker aber zuerst kamen Pommes anstatt Bratkartoffeln und dann gab es anstatt coleslaw Sauerkraut. Die Bedienung hat mehr mit dem Hund draußen gespielt, als mir endlich die Rechnung zu machen.
