The Tafelspitz was warmed up and you could forget about the platter of ribs and sausages for €42 (2 people). The service was very friendly. But you don't rely on regular guests here. Too bad.

Der Tafelspitz war aufgewärmt und die Platte mit Rippchen, Nürnberger, Frankfurter, Sauerkraut und Kartoffeln war auch nichts. Wenn man renommierte Apfelweinlokale in Sachsenhausen kennt ist hier das Essen nur für Touristen. Die Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich !

One of The most beautiful restaurant/bar i've ever seen.

We had lunch there today. The waiter was a complete disaster. Firstly, he was completely alone and seemingly overwhelmed. The table we were sitting at was only cleaned at my husband's request. My husband ordered a knuckle and I a veal steak with grilled vegetables and fried potatoes. Over half an hour later we were served the wrong food. Then the discussion began. We both got veal steak with creamed mushrooms and fries. The waiter cheekily claimed that we had ordered it that way. Put the plates down and left.😡 Another guest swapped his meal with my husband's. Either the waiter wrote down our dishes incorrectly or the cook in the kitchen can't read the menu. What's sad is that the waiter has obviously never seen the inside of the menu. In any case, we will never eat there again. My husband's first beer was warm 😠 and came out of the bottle unchilled. He wouldn't have gotten a cent tip from me.😤 They should make the store better. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! P. S. The menu on the website no longer matches the current menu on site!!!🧐

The food was tasty, but there weren't enough potatoes :). The cost of dinner + beer for two people was 44 euros.

It is very rare to find pork shank prepared so well. Chicken breast in curry sauce is delicious. Same as apfelwein and beer. And the information about the lack of card payments is very visible.

It's a tourist center, so it has a nice atmosphere. It feels like German food for tourists, and it's a little different from German food. The service is not recommended for those who are not used to traveling abroad. I think it's better to have a cafe feel and drink without eating.

The inn doesn't even deserve one star. We were actually greeted warmly and assigned to the table, which was very dirty. Since they didn't have a vegetarian selection, I didn't want to eat anything, but my friend, when we wanted to order and I said I didn't want anything to eat, the innkeeper immediately said we had to leave if I didn't eat anything. I just went to drink a beer. It's worth a visit to one of Frankfurt's oldest buildings, one of the few that survived after the Second World War. The restaurant is very old too.

Very inviting from the outside due to its old charm, but from the inside it takes getting used to, narrow and overloaded with posters, pictures and decorative things, you have to like it. But I liked it, it had something of an old dive bar about it (not meant in a derogatory way). The food was tasty, although unfortunately a bit small.

The pork liver and meatball soup is amazing, very Chinese-style. The roasted pork knuckle and sausages are normal. The environment is quite tasty, but the lighting is too dim. The two waiters, the old man, are a bit slow, so you need to be careful when ordering. patience

The schnitzels I ate were super thin and the boiled potatoes that went with them were 2 mini and halved (partly black). The decoration of the restaurant is beautiful... and you don't expect a meal like this... the wine wasn't good either. I wouldn't recommend because the food wasn't what I expected.

The fact that this is a surviving building from the war-- and a 600 year-old restaurant is just really cool. There are lots of silly signs and all kinds of memorabilia. Our food was good, too. Husband and I had the 5 sausage plate (with sauerkraut). It was good but more food than I needed! My daughter had the Wiener Schnitzel and loved it. It was a highlight of our short stay in Frankfurt.

An impacting & unexpected 15th century German Museum in which to dine!

Ok, die Gaststätte ist urig und der Service nett. Aber die Speisen sind wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. Der Sauerbraten war zäh, die Soße völlig geschmackfrei. Die Klöße klebrig. Das Jägerschnitzel war nicht paniert und kam mit ekligen Soßen aus dem Tetrapack und glibberigen Champignons aus der Dose. Völlig uninspirierter Touristenfraß. Schade bei der Top Lage.

A detta della guida la più antica birreria della città datata 1479. Interno tipico in legno molto accogliente. Piatti della tradizione ben preparati e serviti da una simpatica signora. Ottima birra. Prezzo conveniente. Da non perdere.

I went here on a Monday night with my partner, it was mostly empty and extremely quiet, we didn't eat, just drank. It's a beautifully historic place to get drunk.

The worst food I've ever eaten in a restaurant... redfish fillet with SK and green sauce. Fish pieces frozen, watery, sober. Without any taste. Salt, pepper and lemon would have given the whole thing a little more spice. SK, 3 peeled sober potatoes. Everything is still lukewarm. The sauce was so flavorful. Fruit spritzer lukewarm. Without carbonic acid. At a price of €5.50/0.4 l. I would be happy to pay for that in an upscale atmosphere with an appropriately trained service staff wearing neat work clothes. It would also be nice if the table were cleaned before new guests sit down at the table.

Uno de los mejores restaurantes para comer comida alemana en Frankfurt. Siempre que estamos en la ciudad, vamos a comer allí unas cuantas veces. La camarera es muy simpática y agradable.

Das urste Interieur ist vielleicht etwas überladen, wohin soll man zuerst Kucken? Die Speisen schmecken ausgezeichnet, das Bier wirkt angenehm, nicht nur als Durstlöscher. TOP !

Restaurant MAGNIFIQUE !! La cuisine était excellente. Le poisson parfaitement cuit à mon goût et les plats étaient extrêmement bons. La serveuse très aimable, très souriante. On était les seuls à y manger le jour où on était allé ce fut une très bonne expérience. L’ambiance était atypique, original et les décors étaient ouf. A faire absolument si vous êtes de passage à Francfort. Tout était impec.

On a pris deux bières, la déco chargée mais elle est géniale. La bière aussi, et pas si chère. 5'2€ pour une pinte c'est raisonnable.

Das älteste Haus am Platz vom Krieg verschont. Freundlichen Personal, essen war auch nicht schlecht, etwas mehr Salz und Pfeffer aber kann ja nachwürzen. Grüne Soße etwas wenig kann aber nachbestellt werden. Gastraum richtig alt und urig, man weiß gar nicht wohin man schauen soll. Super Lage

Trinken Sie im Jahrhunderte alten,unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Wirtshaus den legendären " Eisbock " und essen Sie dazu einen Tafelspitz. Die reichhaltige Auswahl an Speisen lohnt das Studium der selben . Abrunden tun das der freundliche Service und die zivilen Preise !

Bedienung : Katastrophe ! wir haben draußen direkt am Eingang gesessen. Der Kellner läuft solange an einem vorbei ohne Beachtung bis man ihn anspricht. Bestellungen werden im vorbeilaufen aufgenommen ohne „danke“ „bitte“ Oder sonstigsten zu sagen! Essen : ich glaube ich habe noch nie so ein lieblos angerichtetes Essen gesehen. Wir hatten Schweinemedaillons mit Reis und Currysauce und Fisch mit grüner Sauce und Kartoffeln. Ausgesehen haben die Teller wie Sau. Sauce war geronnen…der Fisch voller Fett. Ambiente : Urig und gemütlich, man sitzt sehr gut. Gemütlich und urig sitze ich auch woanders… Mich sieht dieses Gasthaus nicht mehr…
