Sehr nette Wirtsleute, sehr leckeres Essen, tolle Location. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Essen war durchschnittlich. Wartezeit war für mich zu lange. Alle sahen doch ziemlich gestresst aus. Personal war bemüht aber alles im Laufschritt.

Zu Abend Rumpsteak mit 🧅 und Tartufo Schoko - Nuss genossen . Obwohl gut besucht , freundlich und fix bedient . Am reserviertem Tisch haben wir zu Abend 🧅 Schnitzel und Schweizer Leckerlie und als Dessert Tartufo Schoko - Nuss genossen .

So leckere Schnitzel hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen! Super freundliche Bedienung! Top - würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

Steaks sind wirklich on Point und die Portionen machen Satt. Da können sich einige Häuser die sich Steak House nennen eine Scheibe von abschneiden. Man wird sofort bedient und das Essen kommt nicht erst nach einer Ewigkeit an. Freundliche Bedienung und ein Riesen Respekt an die Küche. Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung für diese geniale Qualität. Werde dort jetzt öfter Essen gehen.

Schicke Location, Essen passt aber nur Bargeldzahlung möglich.

Alles gut, außer die fehlende Möglichkeit mit Karte zu zahlen. Wir wären gerne noch geblieben, hatten aber nicht genug Bargeld dabei. Schade…

Wollten Essen und wurden leider schon um 13:30 abgewiesen. Ausgewiesen ist Küche bis 14:00. Kommen nicht wieder.

Während unseres Urlaub hier in der Region Essen gewesen. Schnitzel und Salat waren reichlich und lecker. Personal nett, dass Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Da haben wir in anderen Lokalen der Region für quantitativ und qualitativ ähnliche Speisen deutlich mehr bezahlt.

Wir waren zu Pfingsten wieder hier und sind immer wieder zufrieden mit der Küche und den angebotenen Speisen! Die Rumpsteaks waren auf den Punkt genau medium und das gezapfte Bier lecker. Auch unser Dackel Fritzi genießt die rustikale Atmosphäre! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Waren um 21:00Uhr dort, für ein Bierchen oder so. Leider zu, da nutzt es nix wenn Google etwas anderes sagt. Montags Ruhetag, aber heute ist Donnerstag 🤔

Sehr gute Schnitzel, nette Bedienung, normale Preise

Wir waren heute spontan dort und nachgefragt ob wir einen Tisch für 2 Personen haben könnten mit 2 kleinen Hunden . Die Bedienung erklärte mir das sie uns in ein separater Raum bringen würde. Das war auch ok. Ich ging nach draußen und sprach mit meinem Mann und rauchte noch eine Zigarette. Danach gingen wir rein und die Bedienung kannte mich auf einmal nicht mehr und erklärte uns sie seien ausgebucht. Da lache ich nur. Wir sollten doch das nächste mal reservieren. Eine halbe stunde später waren die Plätze immer noch fast leer bis auf ein paar die belegt waren und der gastraum komplett leer. Wir waren so erbost über die Frechheit von der Bedienung und den Chef der lieber an der Theke saß und alles beobachtete und nichts unternahm . Aber anscheinend hat er es ja nicht mehr nötig . Nur traurig und Inkompent.

Sehr lange Wartezeit bis man überhaupt bedient wird, nach 2 Stunden hatten wir dann unser Essen was aber nichts besonderes war

Sieht alles sehr gut aus ! Aber die Küche samstags um 20.40 Uhr schon geschlossen ist leider sehr schade und lässt die 5 x Gäste dann zum nächsten Italiener gehen 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♀️ 😬

Vor drei Jahren ein super Erlebnis und heute Pure Enttäuschung. Lange nicht so schlecht gegessen. Fertigprodukte verwendet wie z.B. die Spätzle. Das Fleisch trocken gebraten, Service überfordert. Sehr schade für die schöne Lokalität.

Die Bedienung war zwar freundlich, wirkte jedoch deutlich überfordert. Eine Wartezeit von über einer Stunde auf das Essen ist aus unserer Sicht nicht akzeptabel. Leider konnte auch die Qualität der Speisen nicht überzeugen – geschmacklich erinnerte vieles eher an Fertiggerichte. Insgesamt hinterlässt der Besuch einen enttäuschenden Eindruck, da sowohl Organisation als auch Küchenleistung deutlich verbessert werden sollten.

Das Essen ist köstlich, aber es gibt keine Möglichkeit, mit Bankkarte zu bezahlen.

Essen ist lecker und preiswert. Das Lokal ist rustikal, aber dass vermutet man ja auch bei dem Namen. Nett gemacht. und für uns als Wandergruppe ideal.

Nicht zum empfehlen der Salat sah aus wie 🤮

Keine Außengastronomie trotz Bewerbung. Servicekraft sagt sie schafft das nicht.

Geniales Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr lecker und gut zubereitet. Die Räumlichkeiten sind abweichend von normalen Restaurants und regen an sich umzusehen und staunen. Kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Man sollte es sich vor Ort ansehen und wird verstehen wovon ich schreibe.

Der Service war super. Wiener Schnitzel hatte kaum Geschmack die Zitrone war eingeschnitten, man konnte sie also nicht auspressen was ich persönlich sehr wichtig finde. Das Restaurant kriegt vom Geschmack her eine 2/10 und im generellen eine 4/10. Insgesamt war es auch sehr laut was mich und die anderen Gäste störte.

Ich gehe schon seit einer Ewigkeit ca 1x/ Jahr in den Saustall und es war immer top. Umso größer ist die Enttäuschung von vorletzter Woche. Eine schnippige/ unfreundliche Bedienung und die Schweinelendchen waren eine einzige Katastrophe. Plattgeschlagen und trocken wie eine Schuhsohle. Der Saustall war für einen Samstag-Abend erstaunlich leer. Das kenne ich noch ganz anders. Nun wird da ein Schuh draus. PS: Das Ambiente ist super; wie auf einer Skihütte.

I celebrated my 60th birthday here with my guests. The buffet was excellent, very delicious, and all my guests were delighted. The service team was also very attentive. We would gladly come again.

A very nice restaurant, the food was very good. The staff is friendly. The prices are okay.

We went with friends for a goose dinner. Absolutely delicious! Manzor was fantastic! The service was incredibly friendly. A wonderful event all around. We'd love to come again.

We were visiting the hotel and were desperately looking for a schnitzel restaurant, as our tongues were craving a good schnitzel. After an unsatisfying visit to Friedrichs, we were deeply unsatisfied. We were pleasantly surprised. For sauce lovers, they'd happily add a little more sauce, otherwise, it's great! Now we're full and happy :)

Google says it's open. We're really hungry. The store was open, too, but without a kitchen, but they did have a vacuum cleaner and an iron. I don't have to drive that far just to sit down. Annoying.

Open at 3 p.m. and the kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Should I drink water for two hours?

We had lunch. Everything had been very nice.

The atmosphere is quaint, rustic, and, for my taste, quite nice. The service wasn't particularly friendly; perhaps they were having a bad day. The food wasn't great. While plentiful, I had, for example, loin, spaetzle, and mushroom sauce. The mushrooms were canned, and the dish lacked any flavor. A friend had schnitzel and fries. The schnitzel with pre-marinated marinade and fries were still oily from the haircut and not crispy either.

Highly recommended. Delicious food. Special requests are accommodated. Service is very fast. We really enjoyed it. We'd be happy to go back.

First of all: the name "Saustall" is a perfect fit! The two of us wanted to eat there, but we didn't have a reservation. Even though there weren't many people there, we were very rudely turned away by a blonde lady. So, we didn't. Apparently, it wasn't necessary. We continued on to the Wetterburg for dinner. We're sitting there now and were warmly welcomed without a reservation, even though it's also very busy.

There's nothing more to say about this place. This was our second time there and we wanted to eat there immediately. The statement that the kitchen would be closed on a Saturday evening at 7:45 p.m. is clear. Conclusion: The name fits.

A very nice restaurant with very friendly staff. My child was stung by a wasp during dinner, and the waitress came right away and brought us an onion and an ice pack. We were even allowed to sit inside and continue eating there. There were no problems at all! The food was also very delicious!! Highly recommended!!

A visit to the Saustall is a must. A very nice, Bavarian-style inn with delicious food, tasty beers, and friendly staff. Traditional Bavarian music is also played. It's definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Six people came here for dinner. It was packed, we had a reservation, and we were thrilled. The wait is due to the times we live in today—nobody wants to work anymore... I had a delicious meal here with friends, and the service was super friendly. The beer garden is also very inviting. The interior is decorated in a rustic Bavarian style. I don't really like the fact that they only accept cash payments, and it's definitely worth knowing.

We were greeted in a completely unfriendly manner by a blonde lady. Not a "good day" or "hello," nothing. We were there today at 1:30 p.m. and were immediately told that the kitchen was no longer preparing food. Not even for two people. There was a sign outside the door saying "Kitchen open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m." Hopefully, they rely on every guest and are grateful if anyone comes to eat at all. It wasn't particularly busy, either!

Ridiculous. It's the weekend, and numerous guests are standing at the counter before 8 PM, hungry. The place is empty, but the kitchen isn't doing anything. Your website still lists the kitchen hours until 9:30 PM. Then why not write, "We cook as we please!" The lady at the counter, who had little understanding for our lack of understanding, suggested that we could make reservations by phone. Unfortunately, no one answers the phone. We've decided not to eat with you again. If you don't feel like it, just don't.

You advertise kitchen hours until 9:30 p.m., and then at 8:06 p.m., there are four hungry potential guests, some of whom have traveled over 20 km, and you're no longer willing to cook for them. It's truly pathetic what you've become.

Our spontaneous visit without a reservation was so pleasant that we immediately booked for the next day. Highly recommended, always happy to go again.

Outside you are bothered by smokers, inside there is no fan and no open window and it is much too hot.

Friendly, helpful service, highly recommended food, generous portions. The value for money is excellent! A visit to the Saustall is definitely worth it!

Getting a table on a Friday, a properly cooked schnitzel on your plate, and freshly prepared salads to go with it. What more could you want...

I had very fond memories of the restaurant – we stopped there a few years ago on our bikes and absolutely loved it. So we definitely wanted to go back. The rump steak with side dishes was okay, but nothing special. It's a shame, I somehow remembered it being better.

We would have loved to eat here, BUT: In 2025, you won't be able to pay by card in this restaurant. WHAT A BAD PITY! The nearest ATM is at least 5km away, and it's impossible to walk there to eat in a timely manner. We're probably not the only guests who leave disappointed! Perhaps they don't want guests from the RV park. It's especially a shame because after a long trip through Europe, we were looking forward to some good local food!

This was the best Jägerschnitzel I've had in years. The mushroom sauce was divine, and the schnitzel was generous and natural. No pressed meat mush. Please note: Cash only, no card payments!

The schnitzel was dark brown around the edges, the bacon was unnoticeable, the mushrooms were from a can, and there was no seasoning. The Swiss special, pork fillet, was dry. The mushrooms were as described above, and the spaetzle tasted like Maggi. Not to mention that we waited over an hour for the food.

We went to Sausrall last week evening based on positive reviews from friends. The service was very nice, but unfortunately, the food wasn't to our taste at all. I ordered a vegetarian dish with fries and hunter's sauce. When the plate arrived, I was initially shocked by how it looked. Okay, I thought, maybe the taste would blow me away. Unfortunately, it tasted absolutely nothing. The sauce was just a thick, brown mush, and the rest felt like frozen food cooked in a deep fryer. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with cooking.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food tasted rather poor compared to the regional competition. Special requests outside of the menu are not readily accepted. Our daughter's plate of spaetzle with a little butter was billed as a children's schnitzel plate for €8.50. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted.

We love going to the Saustall. The steaks are truly some of the best we've ever eaten anywhere. The service is always very friendly, and we've never had to wait long. We're very satisfied.

We went there for dinner today with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was very cozy. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food was rustic, truly delicious, and the sauces were homemade. We'll definitely be back soon.

Super delicious food, which seems to be freshly prepared. So, you'll want to bring your time. Nevertheless, it's a definite recommendation.

The rump steak with asparagus was very tasty, but I would have served the hollandaise sauce separately, as the asparagus stock and the juice from the steak mixed with the hollandaise and created a soup on the plate.

Quite nicely decorated in an alpine hut style. The food was okay, but I found the three spears of asparagus in this dish a bit sparse; there's still plenty of room for improvement. The fact that card payments aren't possible should perhaps be brought up to date.

Extremely tasty...perfectly cooked asparagus, even if the Dutch asparagus looked like it came from a tetra pack, but it tasted good. (They also have good convenience products.) The rustic ambiance and friendly staff immediately put you in a holiday mood. We'll definitely be back...

The food was very good, the service was good, even though it wasn't full, guests were sent home?!

We had reserved tables outside with our group of 43 people. Two young conditions took the drinks and food orders quickly, friendly and well organized. They were also very quick when it came to serving drinks and food. The food was fresh, the plates warmed. The sauces are homemade, the fries are crispy. Attention: Visits only possible with reservation!

Unfortunately, pure cash payments are no longer up to date and cash payments are becoming increasingly rare, except perhaps for the parking machine. Since this "no card payment" policy has been maintained for years, we have had to forgo eating there a few times because we rarely have enough cash with us. Hence the 1 star rating, gladly 5 stars when it is finally modernized.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. Fried potatoes mash. Lendchen looks 100%, but taste had no spice and the consistency was simply tough. You have to get it right first! 🤔 Spaetzle were soggy and between cold and lukewarm. Only the lovely service was worth the second star. Too bad!!! When things get better again, there will be 5 again 🌟

It was my first time there to eat. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic, everything is made of wood. Well attended for a Saturday, it's a shame you couldn't sit outside yet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu is clear, meat dishes predominate. But there are also salad plates and vegetarian schnitzel. I had the rump steak with fried onions. Very nice meat, medium rare. Unfortunately, the fries weren't great, it seemed like they were the last ones before the next fresh ones were added to the frying fat. Salad was OK. If you want a good home-style meal in a rustic atmosphere, you're in good hands here.
