Like an alpine hut, friendly, food good value for money.

I celebrated my 60th birthday here with my guests. The buffet was excellent, very delicious, and all my guests were delighted. The service team was also very attentive. We would gladly come again.

A very nice restaurant, the food was very good. The staff is friendly. The prices are okay.

We were visiting the hotel and were desperately looking for a schnitzel restaurant, as our tongues were craving a good schnitzel. After an unsatisfying visit to Friedrichs, we were deeply unsatisfied. We were pleasantly surprised. For sauce lovers, they'd happily add a little more sauce, otherwise, it's great! Now we're full and happy :)

Google says it's open. We're really hungry. The store was open, too, but without a kitchen, but they did have a vacuum cleaner and an iron. I don't have to drive that far just to sit down. Annoying.

Open at 3 p.m. and the kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Should I drink water for two hours?

The atmosphere is quaint, rustic, and, for my taste, quite nice. The service wasn't particularly friendly; perhaps they were having a bad day. The food wasn't great. While plentiful, I had, for example, loin, spaetzle, and mushroom sauce. The mushrooms were canned, and the dish lacked any flavor. A friend had schnitzel and fries. The schnitzel with pre-marinated marinade and fries were still oily from the haircut and not crispy either.

Highly recommended. Delicious food. Special requests are accommodated. Service is very fast. We really enjoyed it. We'd be happy to go back.

First of all: the name "Saustall" is a perfect fit! The two of us wanted to eat there, but we didn't have a reservation. Even though there weren't many people there, we were very rudely turned away by a blonde lady. So, we didn't. Apparently, it wasn't necessary. We continued on to the Wetterburg for dinner. We're sitting there now and were warmly welcomed without a reservation, even though it's also very busy.

There's nothing more to say about this place. This was our second time there and we wanted to eat there immediately. The statement that the kitchen would be closed on a Saturday evening at 7:45 p.m. is clear. Conclusion: The name fits.

A very nice restaurant with very friendly staff. My child was stung by a wasp during dinner, and the waitress came right away and brought us an onion and an ice pack. We were even allowed to sit inside and continue eating there. There were no problems at all! The food was also very delicious!! Highly recommended!!

A visit to the Saustall is a must. A very nice, Bavarian-style inn with delicious food, tasty beers, and friendly staff. Traditional Bavarian music is also played. It's definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Six people came here for dinner. It was packed, we had a reservation, and we were thrilled. The wait is due to the times we live in today—nobody wants to work anymore... I had a delicious meal here with friends, and the service was super friendly. The beer garden is also very inviting. The interior is decorated in a rustic Bavarian style. I don't really like the fact that they only accept cash payments, and it's definitely worth knowing.

We were greeted in a completely unfriendly manner by a blonde lady. Not a "good day" or "hello," nothing. We were there today at 1:30 p.m. and were immediately told that the kitchen was no longer preparing food. Not even for two people. There was a sign outside the door saying "Kitchen open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m." Hopefully, they rely on every guest and are grateful if anyone comes to eat at all. It wasn't particularly busy, either!

Ridiculous. It's the weekend, and numerous guests are standing at the counter before 8 PM, hungry. The place is empty, but the kitchen isn't doing anything. Your website still lists the kitchen hours until 9:30 PM. Then why not write, "We cook as we please!" The lady at the counter, who had little understanding for our lack of understanding, suggested that we could make reservations by phone. Unfortunately, no one answers the phone. We've decided not to eat with you again. If you don't feel like it, just don't.

You advertise kitchen hours until 9:30 p.m., and then at 8:06 p.m., there are four hungry potential guests, some of whom have traveled over 20 km, and you're no longer willing to cook for them. It's truly pathetic what you've become.

Our spontaneous visit without a reservation was so pleasant that we immediately booked for the next day. Highly recommended, always happy to go again.

Outside you are bothered by smokers, inside there is no fan and no open window and it is much too hot.

We wanted to go out to dinner tonight. Because of the junk and livestock market, the pigsty was suddenly closed. There was no notice on the website, what a pity...

Brilliant atmosphere. The food was very tasty and well prepared. The premises are different from normal restaurants and encourage you to look around and be amazed. Can only recommend it. You should see it in person and you will understand what I am writing about.

Getting a table on a Friday, a properly cooked schnitzel on your plate, and freshly prepared salads to go with it. What more could you want...

I had very fond memories of the restaurant – we stopped there a few years ago on our bikes and absolutely loved it. So we definitely wanted to go back. The rump steak with side dishes was okay, but nothing special. It's a shame, I somehow remembered it being better.

Rustic restaurant, very tasty food, everyone very friendly, very cheap food.

This was the best Jägerschnitzel I've had in years. The mushroom sauce was divine, and the schnitzel was generous and natural. No pressed meat mush. Please note: Cash only, no card payments!

We would have loved to eat here, BUT: In 2025, you won't be able to pay by card in this restaurant. WHAT A BAD PITY! The nearest ATM is at least 5km away, and it's impossible to walk there to eat in a timely manner. We're probably not the only guests who leave disappointed! Perhaps they don't want guests from the RV park. It's especially a shame because after a long trip through Europe, we were looking forward to some good local food!

Super pecker food, better reserve a table we were lucky to get a table

The schnitzel was dark brown around the edges, the bacon was unnoticeable, the mushrooms were from a can, and there was no seasoning. The Swiss special, pork fillet, was dry. The mushrooms were as described above, and the spaetzle tasted like Maggi. Not to mention that we waited over an hour for the food.

We went to Sausrall last week evening based on positive reviews from friends. The service was very nice, but unfortunately, the food wasn't to our taste at all. I ordered a vegetarian dish with fries and hunter's sauce. When the plate arrived, I was initially shocked by how it looked. Okay, I thought, maybe the taste would blow me away. Unfortunately, it tasted absolutely nothing. The sauce was just a thick, brown mush, and the rest felt like frozen food cooked in a deep fryer. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with cooking.

Interesting restaurant, very nice terrace, and good food. Friendly and quick service. Everything was top-notch.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food tasted rather poor compared to the regional competition. Special requests outside of the menu are not readily accepted. Our daughter's plate of spaetzle with a little butter was billed as a children's schnitzel plate for €8.50. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted.

We love going to the Saustall. The steaks are truly some of the best we've ever eaten anywhere. The service is always very friendly, and we've never had to wait long. We're very satisfied.

We went there for dinner today with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was very cozy. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food was rustic, truly delicious, and the sauces were homemade. We'll definitely be back soon.

The rump steak with asparagus was very tasty, but I would have served the hollandaise sauce separately, as the asparagus stock and the juice from the steak mixed with the hollandaise and created a soup on the plate.

Quite nicely decorated in an alpine hut style. The food was okay, but I found the three spears of asparagus in this dish a bit sparse; there's still plenty of room for improvement. The fact that card payments aren't possible should perhaps be brought up to date.

Extremely tasty...perfectly cooked asparagus, even if the Dutch asparagus looked like it came from a tetra pack, but it tasted good. (They also have good convenience products.) The rustic ambiance and friendly staff immediately put you in a holiday mood. We'll definitely be back...

We had reserved tables outside with our group of 43 people. Two young conditions took the drinks and food orders quickly, friendly and well organized. They were also very quick when it came to serving drinks and food. The food was fresh, the plates warmed. The sauces are homemade, the fries are crispy. Attention: Visits only possible with reservation!

Unfortunately, pure cash payments are no longer up to date and cash payments are becoming increasingly rare, except perhaps for the parking machine. Since this "no card payment" policy has been maintained for years, we have had to forgo eating there a few times because we rarely have enough cash with us. Hence the 1 star rating, gladly 5 stars when it is finally modernized.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. Fried potatoes mash. Lendchen looks 100%, but taste had no spice and the consistency was simply tough. You have to get it right first! 🤔 Spaetzle were soggy and between cold and lukewarm. Only the lovely service was worth the second star. Too bad!!! When things get better again, there will be 5 again 🌟

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu is clear, meat dishes predominate. But there are also salad plates and vegetarian schnitzel. I had the rump steak with fried onions. Very nice meat, medium rare. Unfortunately, the fries weren't great, it seemed like they were the last ones before the next fresh ones were added to the frying fat. Salad was OK. If you want a good home-style meal in a rustic atmosphere, you're in good hands here.

The food tastes good, but the taste gave me the feeling of ready-made sauces. Roulades were good, schnitzels and medallions were okay, grilled vegetables and potatoes were not very seasoned. Service understaffed, but friendly. I'll stop by again but then order from the menu. The reason for my visit was probably unsuitable for the restaurant and therefore my rating is not entirely accurate.

My grandparents celebrated their diamond wedding in the (hall) with 25 people. The boss announced energetically right from the start: the door to the outside should remain closed and we should go out to the front to smoke etc. which we found surprising, well, the food was great, the service was great for the first hour, but then someone came every 45 minutes at most. The lady tried hard, but many people didn't have anything to drink for ages. The dishes from half past five were still there at half past nine. We're really disappointed, we've been to the mess a few times and weren't that happy, but today took it up a notch. We're not coming anymore.

Ate here three evenings in a row, the food is delicious and the portions are good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.

Were there with a group of 8. Some of us had a small dog with us. Accordingly, we were directed to the back dining room where only people with dogs are allowed to sit. The food was ok. Rather average. Furthermore, it was probably very reluctant to ask for water for the dog. “If the dog is thirsty, he can drink in front of the door,” it was said. You can do it like that, but in my opinion it's not that great. If you are taken to the “dog salon”, you could also leave a water bowl there for them. Prices are ok.

Last night we waited over 2 hours for our food. After asking the waiter, she said that the chef was doing what he wanted and that he couldn't be talked into it. He just wouldn't feel like it today, unbelievable. Unfortunately it was too late to go to another restaurant. I can't recommend this restaurant. You won't see us there again. This evening we waited two hours, in words TWO hours, for food because... According to the staff, the chef is in a bad mood today and doesn't feel like it and does what he wants anyway??? Unfortunately, at 8:00 p.m./8:30 p.m. it was no longer possible to switch to another restaurant. The right thing to do would have been to get up without further explanation and leave the restaurant as quickly as possible, which would unfortunately mean having to go to bed hungry! The staff was in distress and apparently completely overwhelmed by the situation! We will not recommend this “dirty stable” and will not visit it again under any circumstances!

Went to the restaurant on Saturday evening at 6:05 p.m. We were immediately told that it might take a little longer to eat. OK no problem. Enjoyed the beautiful ambience and then enjoyed 2 large beers. When, after 2 hours of waiting, the table next door received its food, even though it arrived later, and when we asked what happened to our order there was no concrete answer, we paid and left hungry. No reasonable excuse - nothing. Apparently the chef was in a bad mood and unpredictable. It's a shame for the beautiful shop. The waitress was overwhelmed by the situation.

Other guests in the room had also been waiting for a long time and then received the answer: "We're sorry, the chef has just stopped cooking again and it may take about 20 minutes until he starts again." We also asked for the boss and were told he wasn't there today. There was something going on, but not so much that it was justified to wait 2 hours for your food. It has to be said that the waitresses couldn't do anything about it. They were really super nice and visibly uncomfortable. In addition, payment is only possible in cash. There was no discount or anything for free like a drink or dessert! For us it was the last time.

Very quaint and rustic atmosphere. On my grill plate my meat was a little dry. The cream schnitzel and fries my wife had were great. Overall it fits. However, it is not contemporary that only cash payment is possible. I would like to see electronic payments here.

The service behind the counter is very nice and helpful. The quality of the food is tasty. Steak was on point, but with 4 small roasts the side dish is very minimal. We should be a little more generous in the future. Otherwise, of course, great atmosphere.

In any case. Food delicious. Prices for food and drinks are ok. Very nice atmosphere. Again and again.

Dishes (schnitzel in different variations) were very tasty and the size was more than sufficient. Excellent fried fries, just the way they should be. Salad fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly service. Gladly again and again.

We are here for the first time today, I had the pork medalions with pepper sauce and fried potatoes. My husband had the onion schnitzel with fries and salad. Both were delicious and we were completely satisfied. The friendly service staff also fulfilled all of our wishes, thank you!! We will definitely come back 👍😉
