We had a delicious meal here. Everything is prepared fresh. The dressing on the side salad was amazing. Very friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

It would be nice if the restaurant's opening hours were listed on Google so that one doesn't arrive to find the doors locked.

We went there for dinner. We had reserved a table beforehand, which worked out perfectly. The service was very friendly, our order was taken promptly, and after only a short wait, the food arrived. It was piping hot, which isn't always the case. And the food tasted absolutely fantastic. During our meal, we were asked several times if we needed anything – that's also not always the case. I really like the decor and the atmosphere. So, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. I can't comment on the rooms, as we were only there for dinner. But after the excellent service, I can't imagine the rooms being anything but good.

Hello, We were guests at the restaurant on the outdoor terrace during a short bike ride. We had the farmer's schnitzel and the mushroom schnitzel. It tasted excellent and the portions were really generous. Highly recommended for schnitzel lovers.

Sunday, August 19, 2025, 5 p.m. Weather: very warm Based on the attractive website, we (two people and one dog) spontaneously decided to go out for dinner on Sunday evening. Since we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a table for two with a lake view. Only after ordering drinks did we realize that there were three smokers at the next table. Despite asking, we weren't able to change seats. The Balkan schnitzel was run-of-the-mill (commercial/fast-food). When paying, I politely thanked the server with the phrase "Thank you for NOT offering water for our dog." The response was "That wasn't a problem." Every other restaurant asks if the dog needs water, especially since it was very warm. We won't be visiting this restaurant again. Smokers have no place in an upscale restaurant (as they portray themselves online) these days. The service was matter-of-factly friendly, but nothing more.

You can't really give more than 5 stars - the hosts and service team are all top-notch - the food is freshly prepared in the kitchen, very tasty, and served in generous portions; the rooms are very clean and well-equipped. We highly recommend the Hotel zur Post. The fact that it's almost impossible to get a table without a table reservation speaks for itself - a full house - and why not? We had a wonderful few days at the Post!

We were here to eat from Mobielheim Twistesee. Short walk and some nice food. Salad as a starter was already a lot and tasty. Main course just as. And may well be paid more for it was a bargain for such good and much food. We will definitely come here again when we are at the Twistesee. Thanks.

We were there just for dinner with our friends. Very friendly and attentive service and freshly prepared, delicious food with generous portions and very reasonable prices left nothing to be desired. A definite recommendation!

Delicious food at very democratic prices (plenty of choice). We had room 3 (very spacious room) with a beautiful view of the Twistesee, and a balcony where it was very cozy to sit. Every morning a beautiful and delicious breakfast. It is highly recommended, we will definitely come back 👌👍😉

Can only judge the location, the kitchen, the staff and owners. I always felt very comfortable and at my best there.

We stayed there for one night and the reservation went smoothly. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed, the room was spacious and clean. The next morning we were welcomed with a very extensive breakfast. Would recommend again and again.

Best house on site! Family-run hotel and restaurant with good value for money. Lovingly managed with a very friendly and hard-working team that takes very good care of the guests! Beds were shaken and garbage bags changed during breakfast. The guests' wishes are taken into account at the rich breakfast. We would definitely like to come back!

Friday evening with our regulars' table here for the first time. Table reservation is highly recommended! The kitchen spoiled us with various dishes! Helgoland fish platter tasted great! Service team very friendly, quick and attentive! Price/performance ratio is right!

We were there for the third time today, it was once again very, very nice. Very nice atmosphere in the beer garden. Super delicious food, compliments to the chef Pascal. The pepper steak is super awesome. The junior boss is super nice, the waitresses are just great. We will continue to eat there more often in the future. We were here for the first time ten years ago. As guests from the mobile home park on the other side of the lake, we were always greeted in an extremely friendly manner and always ate and drank deliciously. For various reasons, we haven't been on the pitch or in the post office since 2020. Yesterday evening we returned after a long break. The restaurant has been extensively renovated and modernized. During the 'Corona break', people invested here and didn't give up. Doro's kind-hearted service is simply wonderful. We wish you continued success and look forward to seeing you again.

Super Klasse. Der Ausblick auf den Stausee ist mega. Wir wurden super nett empfangen, und auch eine kurzfristige Verlängerung konnte man einrichten,dafür nochmal vielen Dank. Unsere Zimmer waren mega groß, alles sehr sauber, jeden Tag Zimmer Service. Bad mega groß und sauber. Mein Zimmer hatte Balkon, schön groß und schöner Ausblick. Essen waren wir leider nicht, die Karte sah hingegen super aus...auch preislich war es nicht zu teuer. Das gute ist , auf dem Flur ein Getränke Kühlschrank , falls man doch noch ein Bier, Cola, oder ähnliches haben möchte. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Personal war auch sehr sehr freundlich und nett. Mega cool 😎

"Notnagel erwies sich als Volltreffer!" Eigentlich wollten wir spontan in das Restaurant "Wetterburg". Leider, oder vielleicht zum Glück, war es komplett ausgebucht. In der Gaststätte/Hotel "Zur Post" gab es noch eine Möglichkeit. Gottseidank🙏. Sehr freundliche und kompetente Servicekräfte und ein Essen, das seines Gleichen sucht. Wir hatten zwei Schnitzelgerichte die überaus schmackhaft und super saftig waren. Vielen Dank dafür!!!!! Wir werden wiederkommen............

Wir wollten an einem Geburtstag von uns, 23.12.19, vom Reisemobilhafen Twistesee dorthin essen gehen. Vormittags waren wir schon dort, es war geschlossen und sollte laut Aushang am Nachmittag öffnen. Um ca. 17:45 Uhr sind wir am Hotel angekommen, es war aber geschlossen und es gab keinerlei Hinweise darauf! Es ist ja legitim und jedem selbst überlassen, wann er öffnet. Aber wenn ich Öffnungszeiten angebe aber OHNE einen Hinweis, das ich am Tag X geschlossen habe, ist das nicht nur sehr ärgerlich für den möglichen Gast, es ist oberflächlich, ein unmögliches Verhalten. Wir sind dann zu dem Spanier nebenan gegangen, welchen wir nur jedem empfehlen können. Dieses Hotel hat es nun mal nicht nötig, Gastfreundlich zu sein!

Das Hotel zur Post (HZP) mit Blick auf den See ist eine absolute Topadresse wenn es um leckere Schnitzel und exzellenten Fisch geht. Neben der hervorragenden Küche ist auch das Servicepersonal rund um den muskulösen Barkeeper positiv hervorzuheben. Mein Geheimtipp: Selbst eine torlose Bundesligakonferenz wird bei einem kühlen Blonden in der Post zum Highlight!

Ein wunderschöner Ort, um ein paar Tage zur Ruhe zu kommen! Der Twistesee ist vom Hotel in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gemütlich, das Frühstück lecker und reichlich! Und die Schnitzel sind sensationell!!

Wir haben wie fast jede Woche wieder vorzüglich zu Abend gegessen.Wir sind mit dem Essen als auch mit der Bedienung hundertprozentig zufrieden.Weiter so.....!

Einfache aber sehr leckere Gerichte. Große Portionen und gute Preise. An manchen Tagen ist es sehr schwer einen Tisch zu bekommen da das Lokal viel ausgebucht ist. Am sichersten ist es vor zu bestellen.
